My indoor, climate-controlled storage facility has a ground water problem. This has created havoc for nearly a week. Expensive items have been sitting in water for almost 5 days without mitigation. I called Morgan Wilburn at Servpro, who calmed my worries and took charge, sending a crew of 5 out early this morning to elevate a handmade, cherry wood platform bed to allow air circulation beneath this heavy item. Andrew, Joseph, Dakota, Mike, and Jackie worked swiftly and carefully to manage this stressful situation before heading off to a busy, hot, work day on other assignments. Besides doing a great job, they were so polite. Not one of them stood around watching the others work. They all listened and worked hard. Thanks, team!!

I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to the professionals at Serpro for helping us with the pervasive cat urine smell in my house. We had had the carpets steam cleaned, but that only worked for a little while. The products and the people at Servpro were far beyond my expectations. From start to finish the personnel were amazing. I recently had SERVPRO out to my home to mitigate cigarette smoke damage to the garage and laundry room. The entire staff, from Kevin, Bill and Clark to the work crew (Cindy, Kari, Fabiola and Tyrone) were all top notch! The pricing was very fair, they were punctual, and the work was a 10/10! The whole Servpro team has been amazing so far! They were at my home the next day to evaluate and start mitigation. Aaron Martin, Austin Sherry and Robert Yates were very knowledgeable, professional and helpful during the mitigation period! The construction team, Ryan Ward, Christine Cochran, Matt Sprague and Matthew Burrell did a great job putting everything back together! Very trustworthy individuals and company! I have had to work through all of this mess and they have kept me informed of what was going on throughout the process. So much appreciated especially since this flood incident happened shortly after my husband passed away, while I was trying to prepare our home to sell! On December 2, 2024, I had an air fryer catch fire in a second-story apartment kitchen which created a huge amount of smoke and soot damage throughout the entire apartment. It took ServPro 4 weeks of solid soot and smoke removal cleaning of furniture, walls, ceilings, as well as packing many books and personal items for cleaning at their cleaning facility in Salem. The kitchen had to be gutted and the wood frame structure painted with smoke barrier primer. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the workmanship of the team led by Shelby and joined by Maria, Manuel, Herman, Landon. They did not leave a single cinder of soot untouched!
ServPro's motto is "Like it never happened." The mitigation team indeed made the noxious smoke and soot smell disappear, the soot pollution cleaned, and everything made as clean as possible. They kept excellent records, packed boxes of precious items with great care, and did just an A+ job. Highly recommend ServPro of Salem and the NRV!

Our basement flooded Saturday evening. We contacted Servpro that very night. The customer service couldn’t have been kinder and sent out a team first thing Sunday morning. Zack and his team worked tirelessly over the next few days to make sure our basement was not only dry but clean and sanitized. Zack kept us informed every step of the way. If I could give zero stars I would. The worst customer service experience I have ever had. We had to have service done through Servpro from damages from sewage back up. From the very beginning we had issues with the times that the workers were supposed to show up for the cleanup. At first I didn't worry because things happen and miscommunication happens. However from the very start the Supervisor Curtis got our name mixed up with another customer with the same first name. Next was the workers not showing up when it was planned. Then Curtis told us he was coming out after they finished and make sure the job was done correctly. He never showed up or even called. We were told to sign a paper for it to go through our home insurance and Curtis knew that we were not covered from the start. Curtis called us and then told us that our homeowner insurance was covering it and we would get a check for the amount that we already paid. So we never heard back until we got a letter in the mail from collections on the money we owed. When we called Curtis he did not remember any of this conversation and he would call us back and we never heard back yet again. I will never use this company again. We had the same issue happen back in 2019 and we used another company that we had no issues with.

The people are so respectful to your property they know that you are calling on them in a state of uncertainty bc well your piece of Real estate just suddenly suffered a disaster and well they know that your Real estate is not only a piece of property but your home what u have worked hard for and have put endless amount of money into to maintain a home for not only you but your family to continue to make priceless memories in for years to come or even if its not your home to make memories im sure your property brings in income that is Essential to pay for whatever your needs are.They show up Promptly and instantly they begin by letting you know that they are going to repair your property and let me tell you when there done its like it never even happened! We were having plumbing work completed and some black mold was discovered. It appeared to be dry and old, but we thought it would be better to investigate now as opposed to waiting for someone to get sick.
We contacted Servpro in Roanoke VA and were contacted by a service manager named Morgan who from start to finish was EXCEPTIONAL. From the quick response for an assessment to getting a top notch crew out in two weeks, an estimate that was spot on and like the commercials; like it never even happened. They all had great attitudes and went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. Morgan did an awesome job!

Our house was badly damaged in a recent storm and we had a leak. We contacted our hoa and they repaired the leak but we to contact servepro for mold removal. They were somewhat responsive at first and it was a little difficult to get scheduled but eventually we got them to come out and give an estimate. We asked about having drywall replaced and the project manager told us “there’s a wait but we can get someone to come out and give an estimate.”
After this it was impossible to reach our project manager. My husband attempted to call him multiple times and was unable to reach him to figure out when they were coming to do mold removal/clean up. Eventually they come and rip out dry wall and carpets. They however did not cover the air vent so tons of drywall and mold fell into our air vent. Their equipment leaked terribly on our floors. I had to use my wet vac and suction feature on our carpet cleaner to clean up the water but the leak from their equipment was so bad it caused damage to our ceiling- when we notified them and asked what to do in regards to the damage they offered to let us use extra equipment to dry the ceiling free of charge which was nice. When I asked what they were going to do to remedy the damage they caused I was told that I could purchase a bucket of paint and paint it myself. When the guy came to fix the equipment he asked my husband “should I just replace the drain line” like dude?? Why are you asking us this is your job??? Anyways…. Mold was still left in the room. We had to point it out to them again. Since we now have no carpet and no dry wall or insulation we ask when is the construction crew coming out? They tell us that they’re fully booked and if we’re lucky they can come out 1-2 months IF we get pushed to the top of the list. Okay… kind of seems like clean up would coordinate with construction to ensure that people don’t have a wall with no insulation….. anyways all in all it cost me over 1000 dollars to have carpet and drywall removed and a water stain on my ceiling. For funzies I’ll also add that they removed a air plug from my wall and placed it in my furniture upside down and ruined my cabinet. Oh, and the mold we pointed out is still there. All in all very disappointed and won’t use this company ever again but oh well

I have never seen a faster or more responsive company in time of need. I wish I could say that I have never had to call them but that unfortunately is wrong. I have worked as a property manager with Servpro many times, mostly in the middle of the night. I can not speak more highly of Clark Goodman and Lisa Bain, unfortunately Lisa is gone but they are two of the very best. I call, they come, I have interrupted dinners and family evenings but was always made to feel my emergencies were top priority. The trucks were here ASAP and started immediately. They are the most professional people when working with all. I can not speak more highly of this company. I hope you never need them but if you do you will never regret it, they have your back. Ten years into our dream house, we had a fire that instantly changed everything. Watching from the outside with grandkids and dogs, we couldn't believe our lives were changing right in front of us. Our insurance company must have contacted ServPro, who were on the scene in no time. I had no idea who ServPro was. A bright green van showed up loaded with help. Aaron Martin was there to talk to us about the services ServPro provided. He was/is a kind, professional, personable help and always returned phone calls promptly. He was like a concierge in meeting all our questions and needs.

I wish I could remember everyone's names as the days and weeks went by and our smoke damaged and water damaged belongings were all collected and catalogued for cleaning. Michelle and Natasha were two ladies I remember well, taking care of the house contents, what was salvageable and what was not. Their help and sweet personalities made it a pleasure to stop by the house and see them at their work.

A special shout out to Shawn Lancaster, whom I have not yet met, but she turned out to be my hero! (Linda). On my living room wall was a ministry banner, 4 x 6 feet, handmade of lame and other valuable materials. I had it for many years and it was extremely important to me. Andrew, another ServPro saint, took a look at it when I asked if it could be saved. He was so enthusiastic and told me if it could be saved, Shawn Lancaster would be the one to know and the one to do it. Andrew wrapped it up and took it himself to Roanoke. That was in June 2024. In September 2024, it was Aaron Martin who brought it to me in our rental home. I was ecstatic!! It was beautifully cleaned and beautifully wrapped up. Shawn is obviously extremely talented at her job. She saved my banner from smoke damage and brought it back to its former glory! Thank you so much Shawn!!!

Just this week we received all our clothes back. I was taken aback by the care given our clothes from closets, drawers, trunks, etc., as each piece of clothing looked new, was either folded or hanging up in protective boxes and covered in plastic. Blankets and bedding all clean smelling and folded in neat piles in boxes. Coats, scarves, you name it. What kind of service does this?! ServPro does!

Our house contents are in pods kept at ServPro until our new home is built. We are so full of gratitude and thankfulness for this company who steps up and helps those of us who just do not know what to do when this kind of tragedy hits.

ServPro, Aaron, Shawn, Andrew, Michelle, Natasha and all the others whose names' we did not get, but are so important nonetheless, thank you so much, and may God Bless the work you do and reward you in kind.

Worst service ever. Have repeatedly for over two weeks tried to get them to submit their costs for demolition to the insurance company so that my mother can move forward with the rebuild. Excuses have ranged from "oh we don't need to do that" to "sure I'll pass that along to the project manager". How hard is it? The sad thing is you have a 98 year old woman with a torn up house who cannot even get the contractor to do work. I would not recommend this particular franchise to ANYONE. And my understanding is the insurance company is more than likely going to remove them as a option for this type of work.

The folks at Servpro were amazing! Our basement flooded due to a ruptured water heater and we had 4 inches of water! Holly got us seen the day after it happened and they were able to get everything dried out and prevent any mold or mildew from growing! We are so thankful to Robert also! I was very pleased with the service that I received as well as the customer service from Kevin, Shawn (sp?), and Holly. They were so attentive and answered all of my questions. My car had been stolen and recovered some 150 plus miles away in Mooresville, NC, where the perp had run out of gas and urinated in my car. Not only did they detail my car beautifully, but the laundered all of the items in the car, including a big box of clothes that I had in my trunk to drop of at Goodwill. I thought that I might have some PTSD as I had unwisely gone to my mechanics shop to look at the car once it was towed home. Bad mistake. The inside was trashed. I’m one of those meticulous car owners who is a bit over the top. Talking to Kevin was so reassuring as he relayed all of the steps in the process to thoroughly clean the vehicle. I sat in it for the first time and it felt wonderful…no lingering bad memories at all! I did notice a section of my door panel that had been “missed” and the only reason I noticed was because of the amazing product they use to shine things up. I will of course forgive them if they just relay the name of the product to me! Thanks again to the fine folks at ServPro!

Superb service in every way. I've been dealing with ServPro since my claim management days at Allstate. I had a customer drive a UHAUL truck through the plate glass window at my antique business. My emergency service calls went to ServPro, 911 and the buildings owner in that order. Your team was "on it and owned" it! A team was assembled, I was cleaned up and boarded up before night fall. In no time at all, a sublet provider was on the spot for an estimate of repair, facilitation and oversize of the entire process. Great job by ALL.

I have a home in Blacksburg that was hoarded with garbage, rotting food damaged furniture. I thank Mr. Lancaster for putting together this professional Servpro team under lead technician with Kari, Justin and Tyrone.
I tried to start cleaning and it was overwhelming. I was ready to give up. This team was not only professional but also walked me through the process and price estimate. They did everything I asked for and more and did everything they said they would do and more. This team was encouraging about the process for me. They removed 4 dump truck loads of garbage and damaged furniture. The refrigerator was spotless and they found stove knobs to fit in place of the missing ones. They boxed up items of personal value that they found among all the trash and organized items by each box. I can't say enough.

They were very responsive and showed up with in 2 hours of calling them. They were able to do direct billing to my insurance company. We did have any issue with damage to this dish washer but they replaced it without question. They did a great job of water remediation and made a bad situation better.

Servpro of Roanoke has been great to deal with. We first contacted them to clean up an old house we're preparing for sale. Kevin conducted a thorough inspection and gave us a detailed quote. The cleaning service exceeded our expectations and Kevin kept us well informed. About a month after that, the house was vandalized resulting in about 2-3 feet of water in the basement. Kevin answered his phone on a Saturday and took great care of us. They had a team at the house in an hour or so to pump the water out. After that, they dried the space and treated it for mold. Their prices are quite fair for the services they provide and they do top quality work. I definitely would recommend Servpro of Roanoke.

We hired SERVPRO to clean up a backed up pipe in our basement. Before agreeing to the work, we asked how much it would cost and were told it would be covered under the $500 deposit. We paid the deposit, then the crew came out. When the crew was there, we asked for a specific quote before starting the work. The manager then came out to discuss the work, and we again told him we needed a quote before starting the work, and were again told it would be covered under the $500 deposit. At the time, we were worried about a couple things. First, they charged a $500 (non-refundable) deposit to even come out. Second, they would not agree to a cost before starting the work. We debated cancelling the service then and doing the work ourselves, but feared losing the $500 deposit. So we signed the paperwork without an estimate, going on their word that the work would be covered under the deposit. They finished the work and about a week later, we received another bill for additional cost beyond the deposit. We then spoke with the office to try and resolve the additional cost, but were told no. We then received a call from Curtis, the manager, and were told that "they never would have told us the work would be covered under the deposit" and were given a cheap anecdote to justify the practice. After telling him we weren't happy and would be "burning the company image with everyone we know" he responded by saying "no problem, we'll get our money anyway."

Beware of a few things with this company. 1. they hook you into using their service by making you pay a $500 dollar deposit before even coming out. 2. they will not agree to a quote before doing the work. 3. they will send you a bill for additional charges after the work is done.

Steer far clear of this company.

To SERVPRO of Roanoke County, you convince yourself that the way you conduct business is fair and correct, despite repeated claims that you're conducting yourselves in a poor manner. Specifically to Curtis, you need to learn some self control, losing your temper at the first sign of negative interaction with an irate customer is poor behavior for a manager.

I cannot say enough good things about the Roanoke office. Everyone we spoke to was kind and informative. We had a pipe burst which required daily visits to assess the drying process, which happened to coincide with a planned trip. We trusted them to have access to our home and they would send us texts when they would arrive and when they left, along with updates. Elias was extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and patient with all of our questions. He made sure that every trade that was involved understood the expectations and ensured their work was perfect. He even made lost cost improvement suggestions which really elevated the space! Great job Matt, Stephanie, Elias and team. We hope to never have to use them again but if we do, we know we will be in good hands.

I’m not one to leave or post reviews but I had to in this situation. I’ve waited quite a while, but every time I look at the walls of my room I get more & more incensed. I’ll preface by stating that the repairs were a result of an insurance claim (water damage & potential mold) and I was given a few potential restoration options by my carrier and went with ServPro of Salem, VA for multiple reasons. It was also in the throws of the pandemic so it took several months for ServPro to complete the job (which is understandable given the shortage of reliable employees at the time). My patience was tested with the timeframe for sure, but that’s not why I’m giving the business 1 star. The clean-up took FOREVER which was frustrating but fine; the reconstruction however (ceiling, walls, painting), was AWFUL!! The initial coating on the ceiling, walls & windows was horrible. When I reported that to my construction supervisor (who was a kind person); he came to see it then attempted to convince me I was wrong and my previous contractor & painters were the culprits (the highly skilled professionals that remodeled and painted my entire home when I first purchased it). Luckily I had pictures before the water damage & before the ServPro team began their work. He insisted on having the painters come anyway (even after my protest) and tried to convince me it would look better after the painting was done. Of course it did not… the painters also did a horrible job leaving lots of areas without paint (note: the paint from their initial job was the same quality that was on my walls previously). The construction supervisor returned after the painting was done and dried (after I reported by phone that the coating not only looked worse but the painting was awful). He came, he saw and agreed…apologized and said he would speak to his boss. His boss insisted on having the same employee who had done poor work previously return to correct, even given my protest…he came back, completed an even worse job than before…at that point they finally agreed to have another professional team come to correct the work (note: they informed me the previous individual was having personal issues and they’d released him from their employ…which wasn’t my business nor did I ask or want that for that gentleman). After the same painters returned, repainted the room (missing spots again…which I only discovered after they’d left and the paint dried; this time they used the lowest and cheapest quality paint). I of course didn’t realize until after the construction supervisor/painter left and the paint dried that the paint was flat & cheaper (also, I had both paint cans from the 1st & the last to compare). I was too outdone and infuriated to call an ask them back (I’m sure the head of construction would have rudely refused). I’d already spoken to him the week before to ask for a reduction of my outstanding out-of-pocket bill, at the very least the amount for the painting removed (which he refused for the most part, only offering an extremely minimal reduction). At this point, I didn’t trust they would do anything so I used the paint they’d left to paint the areas that were missing paint. Now I’m stuck with a paint job that doesn’t even allow you to touch the walls w/o leaving a fingerprint (which is why I’d paid for quality paint when I first purchased my home to avoid; as I have children in the home often). This was the WORST experience EVER. I wish I could attribute it to the pandemic, but I think that’s only a small part…overwhelmingly, I believe it was piss poor customer service, attention to detail and cutting-corners. There’s not anything that I can do about it now, other than warn other patrons to be mindful and PAY ATTENTION if you choose to patronize this business. Maybe others will have better luck. Hopefully you will.

I had a broken sewage pipe in my basement last August. Erie Insurance called in Servpro. I have only good things to say about everyone I came into contact with. They were all very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They were responsive and always showed up on time. In a world where no one seems to do their job right anymore, these people exceeded any expectations I might have had. I highly recommend them.

I called on 12/24/22 to report water damage and was placed on a waiting list. I checked back multiple times and was advised they would get to me and that I was still on the list. Today I called and was told I was not on the list. I had the work done weeks ago by another company but the fact I was lied to numberous times is unacceptable. Will NEVER use this company ever! I had a lot of damage and needed help. No remorse from them either!

Air Duct Cleaning. I have dealt with asthma and allergies for most my life. After years of living in the same house, we finally got our air ducts cleaned and disinfected. SERPROs rep. showed up for the initial evaluation and explained the entire process with interest and concern. On the day of service, they were punctual, clean, thorough and professional. I couldn't ask for anyone more passionate about their craft. It has been a week sense the cleaning and we are breathing better and our home smells fresh and clean. The past years of pet dander, dust and debris...Like it never happened!

Servpro, its truly like their advertisement says, “like it never happened”. They have helped me out on multiple catastrophes over the years. From water damage resulted from a broken pipe to now the challenges of covid. Their staff, from management to the techs are all definitely part of the same team. Its not often in todays world that I would feel comfortable saying that. Again, top to bottom, the skill and knowledge and more to the point, the desire to do the job, do it right, presents a level of confidence that “its gonna be alright, like it never happened”. When $hit hits the fan, having that confidence means the world, I know, I’ve been there, and Servpro has been there for me. I dont write a lot of online reviews, but if any business I’ve ever dealt with deserves some online praise its these guys. Highly recommended.

I have known the dedicated and helpful ServPro team member, Lisa Bain for a few years. When the organization I worked for underwent some major foundation repair work, it created a huge mess we were not prepared for and left concrete dust coating every surface! I immediately knew Lisa could help. I was connected with Morgan, our project manager, and he met with me several times to review the project and provided me with a reasonable estimate. We had two and a half days of a big work crew meticulously cleaning every surface and Morgan was onsite to supervise. Before they packed up to head home, we did a walk through and they willingly touched up any areas of concern. I am so pleased with how it turned out and while I hope we don't need to call them again, I certainly would!

We recently suffered the tragic loss of my 14 year old son. Without going into too much detail, there was extensive cleaning needed. We contacted Servpro (because I believed them to be a professional company) and requested assistance with this process. Due to the trauma of losing my son, my fiance handled the details as it was too difficult for me at the time. It took a week for them to get in and begin the cleaning process (they said they didnt have anyone available). Because of this delay most of our possessions were ruined. On top of losing my son and most of our belongings, the project manager Mike Thrasher flirted with and texted inappropriate photos of himself to my fiance! She did not do or say anything to prompt this behavior. This was completely inappropriate and unprofessional, especially during such a tragic time in our lives. The entire process was dragged out at each turn and I finally received an OUTRAGEOUS bill after several months. They did not even complete all of the work requested! We were completely taken advantage of! This was the worst experience of my life and I would never recommend this company for ANYTHING! Call someone else!

I highly recommend Servpro for their customer service and their attention to detail both in cleanup and restoration. Michael and his mitigation team came in and cleaned up the water damage and debris after a large evergreen tree fell on my house. Then Ty came in with his restoration team of Mike and Frank and other subcontractors to rebuild the roof and to repair all the other damage done to my house. Though this was a very stressful time for me, Ty, with his oversight and expertise, not only got my house restored but helped me keep my sanity. Thanks Ty!!
