On Tuesday April 2,2025 water was dripping from the smoke detector in my middle bedroom. I first tried contacting a couple of roofers in Shelby Township but they didn’t do emergency repairs. Then I found Select Renovations and Todd said someone would be out within 15 minutes. Henry showed up and placed a tarp over the damaged area of my roof. Within a week Todd met with my insurance adjuster to go over the damage. The insurance only covered the damaged side of my roof and Todd gave me a fare price for the other side of my roof. His team did a great job, in the heat, and in two days I had a new roof. Select Renovations is a great company to work with. They do not pressure you and they show up when they say they are. I highly recommend them.

My experience with Select Renovations (Todd & team) has been nothing less than perfect. I have been experiencing water intrusion concerns in various areas of my home but the issue never stayed consistent. I had other contractors perform "repairs" which did not fix the issue. Also, the upstairs area of my home always felt like a sauna. I chalked it up to "heat rises" but this was only part of the issue. Todd came and performed an inspection of all of my home issues. Todd successfully diagnosed the issues and provided explanations (with examples) as to what was happening. Without going into detailed descriptions, the water issues were due to rotten decking and lack of flashing which Select Renovations resolved. The "sauna" upstairs was diagnosed to trapped heat/air in the attic area that was not escaping. This was also a contributor to 1 of the water issues I was experiencing as the trapped air was causing a decking issue, leading to rotten wood. Todd recommended re-decking the roof and installing a smart vent system for proper air intake/ventilation. I have to say, we use to get blasted by the heat when walking halfway up the stairs and that has since been remedied. While heat still rises, it is much more pleasurable upstairs than it has been since we bought the home. This smart vent system is the real deal and has helped tremendously. Overall, I definitely would recommend Todd and Select Renovations with your home improvement needs. They certainly assisted my family.

Todd replaced my roof in 2011 and the work/cleanup was outstanding and done quickly. 14 years later and the product is still in great shape. Customer service is excellent, and Todd personally inspected the final product. Would recommend his company to anyone.

A huge silver maple fell on our house. It put three holes in our roof, damaged gutters, scraped the brick, heaved a concrete walkway, destroyed fence and gate, knocked out the side light, damaged the storm door and trim on windows. We had cracks on the ceiling of the second floor. Todd went to battle for us with our insurance company. He coordinated all the work in proper order. He is hands on and always kept us up to date. His response time is impeccable. The quality of workmanship shows. Henry and his crew were respectful of property and made sure clean up was performed each day.

Todd Martin, of Select Renovations, met with us to inspect our roof, chimney, and gutters. We suspected our roof was aging as we continually found small detritus rolling onto the driveway and patio. Further, we saw slivers of brick on the chimney side of the house. Todd reviewed with us several options including fixing the chimney immediately, the roof within three years, and the gutters at some point as they dripped at the multiple joints. With his expert tutelage, we opted to repair and replace all three. Todd and his team arrived on the date promised, worked professionally each day until the job was completed, and reviewed the work with us throughout the process. We are extremely pleased with the job, and we now have a 50 year warranty (transferable) that will last beyond our life times. We highly recommend Select Renovations for any roof replacement and repair.

What a good person Todd is, he came out and inspected my flat roof on my commercial building and told me what needed to be addressed. He took detailed pictures and explained the whole process to me five days later. The work was complete and impeccably done. I am very impressed by him and his knowledge. Called on a Monday Morning . Left a message and Todd got back to me very quickly . We spoke and he made his way out to my grandparents house that day . They were having issues with water leaking from somewhere on the roof. My grandparents had their roof replaced 10 years ago . Todd was so kind to my grandparents and fixed it right away . He never mentioned if this was a covered issue with the warranty or if he fixed it because he is just a good person but he fixed it . He even called and checked to make sure it was completely corrected after the next rainfall which it was . I used to work in customer service and we all know how difficult it is to actually be a customer after the work has been performed and they have your money . Not Todd ! He stands by his work and I would give him 10 stars if I could !! Thank you !!

Select Renovations replaced our roof about 4 years ago. I finally discovered an issue where rain water was getting behind the gutters & running down the siding. The issue was in a short coming from the gutter company. Todd had a team member show up & repaired the issue within an hour! So thankful for this company & this crew!

I needed to have old, deteriorating corrugated fiberglass panels removed from my 34' patio roof and replaced. Several contractors suggested either steel or polycarbonate panels, but Todd, the Select Renovations owner recommended the unique Duro-Last membrane solution. He was personally involved daily with every phase of the project and even made gutter and structural repairs not in the original work order. Very knowledgeable, prompt (if he is delayed few minutes will let you know). Personable. We had a siding issues. Todd explained the problem and provided details how he will fix it and when. We were very pleased with him. The work was very well done.

For five years or was raining in our home from our chimney. We had several companies that tried to FIX this issue but never did.
Then Todd Martin took on the job.
Fixed , solved, and all done in less than a week.
He took the roof down to the studs. Replaced the boards, icying, shingles, the whole nine yards.
Pricing was fair . He was professional, class act, INTEGRITY, cleaned up the work site. He even cleaned our gutters because he was on our roof.
I'm so THANKFUL to him and his company for giving our family peace of mind and no more raining in our home.

Todd and Seth did a great job fixing my roof. I’ve had 2 other contractors try to solve the problem and they failed. Todd knew exactly what was wrong after looking at it once. Their attention to detail was astounding. They also fixed a few other things that were not part of the work order at no charge. I would highly recommend Select Renovations for any project. Actually, I have given out their name to a few people already. Kudos to Todd and Seth for a phenomenal job.

My roof and siding replacement was coordinated completely over the phone and email due to me living out of state. I didn't have to worry about a thing! Jay Boyd took care of me and was absolutely incredible in working with my insurance company, going above and beyond to make this happen! He is a proud Army Veteran and it's clear he puts the same pride into his work. He even threw in some extras (like the sconce in the last photo) to pull everything together.

Jay did a great job at helping us understand what we needed to do. We had a terrible leak but he was able to diagnose what was both wrong with the roof as well as where the leak was specifically coming from. He was very helpful and I will definitely use his services in the future.

Todd and his team did not disappoint. My home had some storm damage and my roof, gutters and window frames took a beating. Todd and his Staff mobilized quickly and took care of everything. Select Renovations got our insurance to pay for hail damage on both house and garage roofs as well as siding and gutters.
Let's just say we didn't start off on a good foot, not due to Todd the owner, but the sales reps lack of following up and communication with myself and my insurance company. That has since been resolved as those reps are no longer with Select Renovations. Todd was very apologetic and promised to make things right.
Todd went above and beyond my expectations. His crew Jay and Ryan were amazing and very professional and a pleasure to deal with.

Do not believe when they tell you they will handle everything with your insurance claim and that they will get it covered. I have had to call them more than they have called me. Everytime that had no clue what was going with my claim. Now 4 months later I'm left taking care of everything. Do not recommend.

Todd Martin and his crew at Select Renovations are OUTSTANDING! We bought a 40 year old contemporary house and almost from day one the roof started leaking, it needed to be replaced. Having had negative experience with contractors we were nervous about selecting someone for such a big and critical job, with Select Renovations we lucked out!! From the quote process, to job start, to job completion Select Renovations were the consummate professionals! They worked tirelessly to get the job done and even worked a couple of evenings until 3:00 am as there was rain forecast for later in the week! The best thing about Todd and his company is how responsive they are. 18 months after they had completed the job I had a leak around my Chimney, knowing nothing about construction I thought roof and immediately called Todd. He came out within a couple of hours, went on the roof and showed me how the mortar in the chimney had disintegrated, thus the water was definitely not a roof issue!! I wanted to take a few minutes to let everyone know about the excellent experience I had with Todd Martin and his crew at Select Renovations. Initially, these folks installed a new roof on my home and garage. The work was done in a timely manner and looks gorgeous. The crew was friendly, professional and very concerned that I was happy with the product every step of the way. The clean up after each day was meticulous to the point that I never worried about my pup, grandkids  or myself stepping on a nail or other debris. I was so happy with the roof that I had these guys install all new windows and siding on my nearly 100 year old house.  The house has many quirks and some features such as arched doorways and a few leaded glass windows. The Select Renovations crew took exceptional care to preserve the character of my home while updating the exterior. They are great guys and I cannot recommend them enough!! (In fact, they are doing more work for me in the spring).

New roof installation included extensive replacement of roof sheathing and proper ventilation, which has improved the insulation quality of the home. Also, have gutter guards installed.
