Savage Builders

I hired Savage Builders to replace the rails and decking of my back deck and build a new front entryway. I highly recommend this company. I loved working with the team and found them to be very conscientious and professional. They provided estimates and communicated with me the whole time. Even with a few delays, they always followed up and kept me in the loop. They completed the back deck in a day and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The craftsmanship for my front entryway, which consisted of replacing a small front deck with an extended portico and new posts, rails, and decking, is exceptional. I have already discussed another potential project with them for next year. I also believe that being flexible with timeline (especially given the difficulty in obtaining labor and resources) and keeping the lines of communication open contributed to the success of these projects.

Had Mike Savage come out for an estimate, very nice guy btw. We spoke at length about the project and process. He said he would be back in a day or 2 with another guy to another walk around and then get back to me with an estimate. I waited a couple weeks and without hearing anything I emailed simply asking when I may expect to hear back. That’s when Heidi got involved. She emailed back and said she was sending Mike and another guy out. I emailed back and said Mike was already out there. Her response was a different Mike. She scheduled an appointment without even asking my availability. She then canceled that appointment overnight stating they were having a problem on another job site. Her email responses were short and pointed. She accused me of not having a plan. However, I went over the plan in detail with Mike while he was on site and it appeared all was well and Mike and I were on the same page. In my final email I asked her to have Mike give me a call. And I have been ghosted since. Very unprofessional communication for a project of the size.

I had my garage rebuilt. The general contractor hired Savage Builders as a sub to do the framing. This crew was great. It was done 2 days sooner than scheduled. The engineer approved the work without any hiccups. The crew left my property clean. I couldn’t ask for more. Absolutely recommend.
