We recently bought a 100 year old New Englander in Portsmouth that needed major updating inside and out. By word-of-mouth from other contractors, we found JG Painting and are glad we did. Jeff gave us a reasonable quote for plaster wall & ceiling work, then Patrick and Andrew spent several days here removing wallpaper, repairing ceilings, and priming everything. By covering furniture and vacuuming daily, they helped us avoid the dusty living conditions that home-owners often experience with this kind of work. The crew was courteous, friendly, and did excellent work, and Jeff was accommodating when additional work appeared behind the wallpaper. We will definitely use JG for future work! Cheers. Jeff and his team recently just finish painting the Greenland central school gym. As a facility manager here a the GCS I am so pleased the way they worked from the prep work to painting and cleanup they paid attention to detailed and went above and beyond. I own a condo in Portsmouth, NH that needed an interior refresh, and Jeff and his team did a fantastic job. The quality of their work was excellent, with clean lines and great attention to detail. Jeff and his team recently painted the exterior of our home and did an exceptional job! The project was extensive with significant carpentry and repair work in addition to painting. The quality of all of the work was best in class. Jeff and his team were also wonderful to work with. For example, we have an infant at home and Jeff would check in every morning on our plans and nap schedule for the day to accommodate them as much as possible. We recently purchased a new home and one of the first things I noticed when previewing the house was the quality of the previous paint job. So, I reached out to the former homeowners to get the name of their painter! Jeff came out to look at the project and was punctual, down to earth, and a really nice guy. His two painters Patrick and Johnny were just as pleasant! Great guys who showed up, got right to work, and produced a beautiful result. They both were beyond respectful and courteous throughout the project and were just fun guys to talk to while they were here. All the guys that came to work in my house were super nice. Pricing was very fair. I am a perfectionist and they were very accommodating when I asked for a few small touch ups, other painters I have worked with were either rude about it or would not come back.

J.G. Painting is the best! They caulked, puttied, and painted all the trim, window casings, doors, and door frames in our entire house, plus several closets. It looks incredible and so much better! Jeff is honest and sincere, and I got to know his guys Andrew, Johnny, and Patrick well, all of whom are courteous, skilled, friendly, and professional, working hard to get the job done in a timely manner. They even fixed several issues that previous contractors had made, and Andrew was great at communicating and explaining as they went, clarifying what my husband and I wanted before delving into the next stage. I have some skepticism when I see 100% 5⭐ reviews, and when hiring contractors in general. But after having JG Painting work on our home, I'm happy to report sometimes perfect reviews are real and contractors are deserving. Jeff and crew were thorough, efficient, professional, personable, and did very high quality work. When prep work for exterior painting turned up unexpected rot of siding and window trim, I was glad JG was adaptable and capable to step in with carpentry work on short notice. They were great about continually updating about the project and offering options for issues that arose. From initial evaluation to clean up, and everything in between, I was 100% satisfied. I recommend JG without reservation; just plan ahead in order to get on their understandably busy schedule.

My husband and I have used many contractors over the years and found very few that live up to our high standards. Jeff and his team definitely live up to these standards. They were professional and did a better job than we would of done ourselves. For those that know us, realize that is extremely high praise. As two people who are type A personalities, OCD and both Scorpios we like things done the way we like them. We are extremely happy with their ability to fix a corner of wall that had come apart in the last six years since our house was first built and you would never know it was as issue. I cannot say enough about Jeff and his Team. We have a 1925 Sears Kit house and detached garage that was in need of wood repair, wood siding stripping\painting and trim stripping\painting. The project lasted for a couple weeks during which he and members of his Team were here daily making progress on the job. We had to add some work to the scope of the project specific to threshold stripping and sealing, wood storm door restoration and color change on the house and garage entry doors. All work was performed on time, on budget, very skillfully and professionally. The entire project team was friendly, cordial and informative throughout the entire process. They use top quality materials (Sherwin Williams and Sikkens in our case) and do everything they agree to do. Do not hesitate to trust your painting, refinishing and wood repair needs with Jeff and his Team of experts.

Fair price and worth every penny. Our bathroom needed drywall repair for several service cut-outs, the textured ceiling smooth-coated and painted, and a lot of sanding. JG was hard working, professional, and the result looks like a new room in a 50 year old house.

I had a wonderful experience with Jeff! He came over to check out the job and provide a quote right after our initial call. He began the project right when he promised - he was a great communicator - over text and email which was great for me, so we always knew what and when to expect him and he did amazing work! Will definitely be using again.

After painting one side of my house ourselves, my family and I were scrambling to get our house painted after realizing it was too much for us to handle on our own. Especially the really high parts on the other sides of the house. We were referred to Jeff's J G Painting by another family member who has previously worked with him. Having not saved any money for this, we managed to scrape enough together and Jeff was very reasonable in helping make it work for us and our budget. When he and his crew got to work on the other three sides of the house, they were very efficient and did everything with quality. They were done within about a week and the house looks amazing. They were very open and honest throughout the whole process, for example when they'd find things that needed to be done on the siding or caulking. They were great at giving their recommendation/input and working with me and my family on how to proceed as these hurdles came up. It was very smooth throughout the whole process. My family is very thankful to Jeff and his crew and are very pleased with the quality of their work, and their willingness and ability to work smoothly with us.

After getting wood garage doors installed about 8 months ago, I was told to get a fresh coat of stain on them regularly. Turns out the original installers used the wrong kind of stain for that surface, but I wouldn't have known without Jeff's help and expertise. He recommended a high quality stain that should last for years to come, and he completed the job in a timely fashion.

Very happy with JG Painting - have used them multiple times. Easy to work with, very happy with quality of the work and he's there when he says he'll be there. We've used JG exclusively for all painting for a few years now and will continue to do so.
