We are indebted to Kerry and his team of professionals...Lisa, Nicky and Paul...They are undoubtedly the BEST...Just prior to the horrific atmospheric river situation (Nov 13/21) I had contacted Kerry about a leaking problem that had occured, several years post installation...He immediately verified the concerns and had his team resolve the situation within 24 hrs. Nicky and Paul came out, identified the problem and fixed it without any fuss or muss...what a great team! All the while staying in contact with Lisa, who so efficiently handled office protocol. Thank you to a great Company and team. It just doesn't get any better than this!! Their warranty fulfillment is unbelievable..Thank you so much again...Don & Irenne

We replaced a cedar shake roof with shingles May 2021. Samra provided a thorough quote from having physically walked our roof. The owner Kerry was available to provide samples and discuss options. The crew were on time , efficient and polite aswell as conscientious in protecting our exterior. Our final billing was as quoted, no surprises. Dealing with an established local company was important to us and as such we have a (10 labour/ 30 product year) warranty that we feel will be honoured, if necessary, given the professional customer service that we’ve received. We would recommend Samra Bros.

Samra recently did a conversion from shakes to shingles on our roof. Their pricing was very competitive and they were prompt in providing a quote and started the job on the day they promised. We were concerned about damage to our garden and plantings but the crew were very professional and careful. In the end, there was absolutely no damage or breakage. We were very happy with the finished roof and have no hesitation to recommend them.

It has been 7 years since our asphalt roof was installed. (by sub contractor)
Problems: during install,
Damage to gutters and railing(falling 4x8 sheet of plywood)
Attic strewn with old shakes and tar paper.
Roof initially leaked, then mysteriously stopped.
Took a total of 5 weeks to complete job.

No proper compensation offered at the time.
Recently:
2 roof vents coming off roof, never properly nailed down.
Roof leak due to poorly done flashing seal.

Would have gladly paid more for quality work.

Samra Bros recently replaced the cedar shingle roof on my North Shore house, and did an excellent job - their quote was quite reasonable, they were on time and did the work promptly, the cleanup was perfect, and the new roof looks great

I received a phone call from this company to help them with the staining of 2 large curved stairs they had another company build for them in their new home. Very beautiful stairs who ever built them. The stairs were installed in a raw state and still needs to be stained.
The house was already currently being lived in at this point.
We had agreed to help them get the stairs stained. I had given them a price for the job but of course they counter offered $1,000 lower than my requested quote. I did however accept the job. I received my initial deposit to get the job started and completed. However since our completion Dec 19th of 2019, we have still not received final payment. I have tried to contact them numerous amounts of times and have never gotten a single response back from them. All my emails with invoices attached have been ignored and they are refusing to communicate with me. No reason why. They are just not wanting to pay the final invoice. If this is any reflection as to what kind of company this is then I would stay far away from this company and it is very likely they could and most likely will rip you off too.
This is a company that I would NOT trust if you were to hire them to do your roofing job.

It's been a year since Samara roofed our house with wood shingles and we are pleased with the results. They were busy and didn't get to the job quite as quickly as promised, but when they came they did a wonderful job. The job site was kept clean, they were very respectful of our property, and finished in two days. Also, we found the cost extremely reasonable.

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
