We got quotes from numerous leading roofers for this job. Mike from Interlock was the only one who came to our house, spent an evening patiently explaining every aspect of the job, showed us many photos and described some of the technical aspects in ways that were easy to understand. When we called back with more questions, he was always available and always super helpful.
For the installation, Mike recognized that we had an old house and were concerned about the workmanship. He sent us an experienced crew led by Oswaldo that went above and beyond any expectation we could have had. They not only protected our home but also took pains to protect the neighbors' homes beside ours. They gave us near daily briefings and showed us photos of everything they found on our roof and their work throughout. The job ended up taking much longer than anticipated because our roof had many problems that needed to be repaired. Oswaldo and Mike worked with us to make sure everything was taken care of and repaired before the new roofing was put on. They proved flexible and extremely diligent, communicating effectively throughout. We are thrilled with the result and grateful for all their hard work. We would not hesitate to use their services again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for roofers. As a bonus, we're delighted that we will never send another huge pile of asphalt shingles to the landfill again!

Ours was a complicated project with a concrete tile replacement, extremely steep slopes, custom fits and large surface area. Definitely not a roof you want to replace frequently so a lifetime warranty was most appealing. Interlock’s team for this project was super and results are fantastic.

Interlock is the best roofing available in our opinion and now have had it installed on our second home. Our 1st home had the shingles installed in 2009, and helped sell the home in 2021, as they looked identical to when installed, had no issues and had the transferable 50 year warranty for the second owner. We just got our new house fitted with interlock roofing, as our original (40 year warranty asphalt shingles) were deemed uninsurable (at 23 years old) when trying to get insurance and recently started leaking. Now to the new interlock roof and the customer service. The team is amazing, and professional, they got our roof on, were available to answer any questions, and ensured we were 100%.satisfied before the team left and final payment was made. Decision for the roof was mainly due previous satisfaction, but we also loved knowing we don’t have annual costs/work in the future for things such as moss removal. The roof great for wind, hail and fire rating as well with is a bonus in the Okanagan.

I recently had my 25 year old asphalt roof replaced with an Interlock Metal roof. I'm so very happy with my decision. In fact, best decision ever to have Interlock Industries install. The metal roof is manufactured in Delta, BC and they have their own installers. It's not panels! It looks very much like a cedar roof!

Our family had Interlock installed on a house 40 years ago and it looks great today. I just had slate black installed in 2024 on a different house for a great look and reduced maintenance.

We recently had our cedar shake roof replaced with aluminum shakes by Interlock. We are the first house in our strata to go to this type of roof. Interlock did a great job, in a timely manner, and we have had many comments from neighbours saying we now have the best roof on the street.

Last Christmas, our rental sprung a roof leak. Interlock was able to seal the leak immediately and to complete the installation in February. I have confidence that the new roof will be trouble free as we have an Interlock roof installed on our house ten years ago.

The workmanship and quality exceeded my expectation. Last summer, we had power outages for 3 days without AC in an extreme hot day, I realized how cool the roof is, the fully double insulations under the metal slate keep the house so cool, we don't think we need AC anymore. We had our roof replaced this last fall with a metal roof from Interlock Roofing. We're very happy with the excellent quality of the roof and the installation, and HOW GREAT IT LOOKS! We chose the "slate" style in the "deep charcoal" colour.

We've been trying to get our roof redone for a couple of years from other roofers, and somehow never managed to get anyone to actually show up. That is, until we contacted Interlock Roofing. From the time that I initially contacted them until the roof was fully completed was only a couple of months. The installation crew worked hard, and did a meticulous job.

******Unsafe*****I wish i was told before hand that snow and ice falling will be an issue when installed. The installer was great and now i have a safety issue with snow and ice falling. We live in the lower mainland in a normal home made in the 60's and the last few years has been bad. I have to dig out my whole house and front and back doors every morning after a snow fall. My gutters are always cleaned every year and the snow still slides down and builds up ice and then eventually the rest will slide off like an avalanche. I have to stop mail and package delivery from coming to my house every snow fall. I contacted the main line at Interlock and they want me spend $5000.00 + to fix this problem. After i paid $25,000.00 to have this installed. This should be automatic from the install in my eyes. They are supposed to be the pro's that's why we hire them. Their roofs are unsafe and they need to be held accountable for their product and make it a safe product. Do not buy their product if you want a safe house in the winter.

I bought a house with an interlock roof installed, it was a huge selling point of the house, unfotunately the seller did not tell me (possibly they did not know) that the warranty needed to be transfered (I mean seriously, the roof was installed on the house, not their backs), my "life time" roof started leaking, I contacted Interlock for assistance and they asked me if I transfered the warranty within 60 days, and I advised them that I had no idea that I had to. I told them that I would be willing to pay the transfer fee. And they refused. The reason you ask.... Because they cannot prove that I did not modify the roof. Seriouly! So I asked, how could you prove that the original owner did not modify the roof if you do not come out to inspect it, they had no answer for this.

They use a loophole not to back their product that they swear is a lifetime product!

Do not buy Interlock, it is way over priced. I am now installing shingles that have a 50 year Labor and Product warranty that is warrantied to the RESIDENT not the Owner! They are called Mystique shingles and are produced in Alberta, I am certain any roofer in the Canada can obtain them, and they are beautiful!

*In response to the owner below, the product warranty is by Interlock brand not the installer so it does not matter where it was installed, the product itself is horrible. The roofer below may be wonderful, but the product Interlock itself is garbage. But just to clarify, this owner did nothing wrong. My home is in Alberta, it is the Interlock Company themselves that I have a problem with*

Had my old (3 level) shingled roof replaced with a metal roof by Interlock Metal Roofing in 2009. Have had no issues since, other than that a crew working to replacing the siding on the 3d floor level dropped a claw hammer (twice) on the roof and dented the roof shingle to a point where it punctured the shingle. I called Interlock to have the shingle replaced. Interlock crew arrived as promised and had the shingles replaced in less than an hour. Work crew was pleasant and professional.

Everybody on the Interlock staff was helpful, courteous and professional. Randal answered all my questions and helped field my concerns to the best person to address it. Vlad and his crew were amazing. They were thorough, quick and was able to do my complete reroofing in one 5-day week. I am very pleased with the results.

We decided to replace our 15 year old asphalt shingle roof,due to a number of problems,including losing shingles in strong winds,poor installation,flashing etc! Met first with Mike Smith and Mark,we discussed the work to be done,price etc! They were friendly and courteous! A few days later, Todd Jones followed up,went over things again,and said in a few days,Nicholas 'Nick and his assistant, Jessica will show up, and begin installation! I had previously rated this business 2 stars but as we are ONE YEAR LATER and still do not have the roof complete to even THEIR satisfaction I am re-reviewing them and wish I could give less than one star. I have asked for the contact information of the owner and been ignored. Only when I reach out to them am I contacted with an apology and excuses. I have "replacement" panels sitting in my driveway for MANY weeks not and nothing has been done. I paid $55,000 for a roof that is still not done. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Interlock replaced my roof 11 years ago. Last fall the roof started to leak during the heavy rain. I reported the leak to Interlock. Tariq came and checked the leak. It was not easy to find the cause of the leak as he had to come back several times. But he never gave up and finally discovered the drainage failure. He replaced the drain and now it is all good again. Tariq is very pleasant to work with as he really cares about his customers.

While searching for a replacement and sustainable roof for my 15 year old house, I noticed a metal roof being installed in my neighbourhood about a year ago. The installation was by Interlock Roofing BC. Some additional research and a subsequent call to Interlock seemed to suggest that aluminum roofing was capable of withstanding the assault of the maritime climate where I live…something that I wanted. Dealing with the folks at Interlock was effortless and friendly even during the depths of the pandemic. From the Zoom sales meeting to the office staff and through to the actual installation team, everyone was patient with me…answered my questions…made pertinent suggestions…sent actual samples. The appearance of the roof (my wife and I chose the “shake” style) is a great match for the style of my home…and I feel the transferable warranty has added considerable value to the house. This is a professional roofing company. They know their business and I feel secure that I chose well.

We had Interlock install our metal roof in Spring 2021. We love the look and love knowing we’ll never have to re-roof again. We are “do it right once and never do it again” people so a 50+ year roof is perfect for us. We get compliments and questions from people walking by often.

Fast forward a year later to February of 2022 and a previously unknown bathroom ventilation failure caused moisture to pool in the attic and breach the ceiling. I highly doubted it was the the new roof failing, but I called Interlock anyway. Tariq came over the next day. He inspected the roof, then inspected the attic where our bathroom fan issue was made abundantly clear. The fan was supposed to be venting out the soffit. But at some point, the venting hose disconnected within the soffit and all the moisture from multiple people showering every day was being directed straight into the attic and had been for some time

Tariq spent a good amount of time inspecting every inch of the attic to identify the extent of the problem and help with solutions.

He returned a few weeks later to install a new vent in the roof and then went into the attic again to connect the bathroom fan for us. Our attic is awkward and unpleasant so we never go up there (which is why the moisture issue wasn’t discovered sooner).

Tariq is a rock star for going above and beyond to help us solve this issue.

We have just had a metal roof installed on our 19 year old home by Interlock Metal Roofing and were very impressed with the professionalism of all the team members we dealt with right from the original office call to the installers. Even though we had some weather issues that slowed the installers down a bit it did get completed by early February and looks fantastic. I found the Interlock team to be exceptional. My experiences have been very professional starting with their sales person Mike (his preparation prior to a site visit made the sales process differentiated from our experience with some unsavoury types we encountered), through the install, Todd and his team worked very hard, kept the job site very neat and tidy and where a couple of minor oversights occurred, were rapid in response. Lastly, on a post sale basis, Tariq has been exceptional. He has come out to provide additional services (jacks for the roof to assist in access for other trades), some gutter remediation and just checking in with me to ensure we were satisfied. I have folks personal cell numbers etc.... and can contact them at any time for any kind of issue (which have been very few). Oh, and I guess most importantly, my neighbours tell me the roof looks great!! No the cheapest and not the most expensive either....worth every penny

19 years ago we had Interlock install a Mediterranean styled metal roof to replace an aging cedar shake roof and it has been performing great. Last year we covered 2 of our sun decks with tempered glass structures and found that sliding snow posed a danger of breaking the glass and causing costly repairs. We chose Interlock to install snow rails, not just in the areas prone to sliding snow causing damage, but on all other sections where sliding snow could injure anyone walking on the surrounding paved walkways. The Interlock installer, Tariq, installed the snow rails this past fall just in time to prevent snow from crashing on our glass sun deck covers and also prevent snow from crashing on cars parked just in front of our garages.
Tariq performed the install efficiently and was pleasant to deal with. Well done!

Dealt with Tariq at Interlock Roofing BC that assessed the problem of the roof leak around my chimney. Appreciated his need to be safe, roofing knowledge, experience and honesty. It was a pleasure dealing with him and would recommend the company.

Tariq and partner came and removed a leaking chimney replaced with a metal cap and vent assisted by my plumber. Tariq was very flexible to coordinate with the plumber after he removed the chimney. The new section of the roof was added professionally with the existing roof that Interlock installed 11 years ago. Very much appreciated his design idea to spray paint the new vent a matching black to blend with existing roof. Was just telling my wife the day before that, I wished the new chrome vent came in black, like Tariq read my mind :)!
Tariq and his partner did an amazing job cleaning up and removing the debris, they even notice my gutters were clogged and cleaned it for me as a goodwill gesture. All I can say is "excellent work and service guys"!
Also Lynda in administration was in constant contact with me helping coordinate the job, very pleasant to deal with.

The installers were great; super friendly and mindful of the work they were doing, working to ensure the roof was done correctly. This was the second house I've had Interlock install a roof on, and the first one still looks and functions extremely well.

My wife and I have used Interloc Roofing on our last two homes. The slate look shingles, look fantastic. Their after sales service is excellent, as they quickly took care of a couple minor issues that came up.

We used this company to put a new roof on the house. We made it clear that we were also putting solar panels up, but instead of letting us know that that should be done first, they went ahead and put the roof on, then advised us it would be more money to take part of the roof off to add the solar mounts. Clearly a cash grab. When I called and left the sale rep who came to our house a message, he never called me back.

The roofers themselves were horrible. They were subcontractors with zero customer service skills. They had no manners and clearly only wanted to deal with another man. The one in charge didn't seem to know how to even smile, though the sales rep that came to the house praised him as a great guy and their "best roofer". They were supposed to start on a Monday, but didn't show up. On Wednesday we called and were told they would now come on Friday. They didn't show up on Friday, but instead strolled in late Saturday morning to drop off their material, cracking our parking pad in the process. They started work on Sunday of the Thanksgiving long weekend. They came in sporadically, never letting us know their schedule. They would say, oh, we'll be here tomorrow at 9 am and would show up that same day at 5:30 pm, work for a few hours and then leave. They were clearly using this as a side job and had no consideration for us at all. When the job was done, as an act of kindness, my 70 year old mother gave the roofer a coffee card to say thank you. He stared at her straight faced (no smile as usual) and said, "I don't drink coffee".

I would avoid this company and the hassle that comes with using them until they deal with their workers and their lack of consideration and poor customer service skills. Badly done Interlock.

Our experience with Interlock from first contact to finish was AMAZING! We liked the fact that the company is based in BC, that they specialize in aluminum roofing and that the installers are employees of Interlock.
The attention to detail during the installation including membrane replacement in the hidden gutters resulted in a beautiful and effective finish.

The salesman was very knowledgeable and was initially the reason we chose Interlock over the competition. The roofing crew was fantastic, quickly removing the old roof and installing the new one. Many people have complimented how nice the roof looks. We bought the roof for the functionality, but the beauty of it just makes it better.

After months of extensive research and due diligence, I chose Interlock to install my new roof. I have no doubts that I made the best decision, as now I have the best product in the market with lifetime warranty, fairly priced, installed by the best and with an unbeatable curb appeal... period.
The competitors (not really competitors) do not come even close with product offerings, price and most importantly, seriousness, which I consider essential in a project of this magnitude. The whole process was very smooth and professional, from the first contact with the sales team member, then with the technical consultant that showed great interest and patience to answer all my questions during several sessions. He also shared photos of their training facility, provided very detailed information about the techniques, the materials and the various proprietary flashing profiles they use in their roof installations.
The installation crew was very professional, clean, respectful and needless to say, very qualified, extremely meticulous and careful. At the end of every single day, they cleaned up everything without leaving any mess behind, as if the lived here. My wife and I were very pleased with that, as they really made an effort to minimize disruptions.

We had the black shingle installed. It's a great finish, very clean and smooth, modern, and a vast improvement over the old cedar roof with curled shingles and other broken pieces. The installation guys toiled through some long hot days, even working on Saturday to keep the job on time.

My family had a roof that was thirty years old and needed to be replaced. I called Interlock and they were very quick to respond. They sent Mike to come over and take a look around and give me a free estimate and a timeframe for the job. The price was very reasonable. Later on, they sent the installation manager Todd to answer my questions and prepare for the job. Their five man crew were very professional and were done within just four days. They cleaned up well and I am extremely happy with the job they did. Highly recommended for everybody.

This windy, rainy, cold and snowy winter was no match for it and now I trust how safe and sound my valuable house is. And no more moss!

We had our Interlock Metal Roof installed in 2003. Prior to our Interlock roof, we had asphalt shingles on our home. They only lasted 13 years before they started to leak and needed to be replaced. 18 years later and our Interlock roof has not disappointed us at all! To this day, we have not had any issues with our Interlock roof. It still looks the same as the day it was installed.

The installation crew were amazing. Mike and Todd took the time to explain to us what needed to be done. It was a smooth and easy process from start to finish.

We knew Interlock Roofing was the right choice for us. The only difficult decision we had to make was which profile and colour to choose from. Interlock is a beautiful roof, great product, and we would do it all over again if we had to.

It also comes with a Lifetime Limited Transferable Warranty. Peace of mind knowing that we are covered, and it is transferrable to the new owner should we choose to sell our house! Great selling feature!

We were looking towards metal (vs composite) roofing materials as we wanted an increase in fire resistance, and a slippery surface to prevent fir needles gathering and moss growth resistance. The product looks great and sheds water and snow. We hope to see similar results with the fir needles and no moss growth. There is a little increase in the sound of rain on the roof, but we are in the country and minimal extraneous sounds. We chose Interlock Roofing based on the material (Aluminum less heat retention), lifetime/50yr warranty, ease and quality of installation methods, no color fading, slickness of roof to prevent moss or needle accumulation (thereby fewer trip for me on the roof). The sales team was punctual, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful in discussing the product. They were timely in responding to my questions even after the sale. The office team was courteous and helpful in keeping us aware of the installation schedule and what was expected from us. The installation team of 4 people was professional and efficient. Completing our 42 square roof in 1.5 days. They were respectful of our environment in that their talking was in conversation tones (not yelling back and forth) and did not use foul language -- even when it appeared someone accidentally dropped an item. An area of improvement would be to have the installation crew perform a final walk around the gutters (on all levels) to ensure there are no nails, metal fragments, or old roofing left in the gutters. I found a dozen nails and half dozen scraps that could have covered the downspouts openings."

We had an excellent experience with Interlock. Our installation team was fantastic and the support from the manager, Todd Jones, was everything we could have hoped for.

I would recommend this company to anyone that is looking to replace their roof for the last time!

We needed to change out our roof tiles. We had the red Mediterranean style concrete tiles. They were in rough shape, so my hubby washws and painted them to try and freshen them up. That only lasts so long and we decided on metal roof tiles. We called Interlock. They sent a nice gent to meet with us and explain their whole process; how they interlock and are coated with a product that keeps them cleaner than any standard roof product. It was nice to know they are local and have been around a long time. They also supplied addresses where we could go view their work. We were impressed and proceeded. Everyone we dealt with was professional and communicated well during each stage of progress to installation. The crew was hard working, diligent and very careful not to damage our garden beds or stamped concrete. They removed thousands of pounds from our roof and replaced it with a much lighter, stronger product. From the first meeting to installation and clean up only took a couple of weeks. We highly recommend Interlock Metal Roofing. The finished product is excellent and will certainly have a long lifetime.

The product is excellent, but the installation of the flashing below a north-facing window was not installed correctly, resulting in leaks when it rained and wind was blowing from the north. The flashing was buckled and caused rain to pour in from the north side of the house, coming in through the pot lights in my downstairs family room. After a ridiculous amount of communication back and forth, it was finally fixed 2 1/2 years later! I had to pay for my own home inspection, which Interlock should have paid for. The final fix took approximately 45 minutes (from a part-time employee, who knew what he was doing). I would not recommend this company to anyone after the terrible customer service I received.

Being in northern BC the snow and ice build is difficult for regular shingles to last even with 25 year or longer warranty.
They installed everything needed to improve attic ventilation and completed the roofing project. Everything finished. Everything cleaned up.

Had this company's salesman came in spring to discuss the pros and cons of a metal roof. We had scouted around at other types and costs prior to this meeting. Mike was very patient with all our questions. When we had the roof installed in May 2019, Mike dropped by several times to see how things were going and if we were satisfied. The product is great! Would highly recommend this metal roof product.

The crew was very safety conscientious for themselves and all those around them. Cleaned up continually, worked 12 hr days, and buckled things down for each night so no leaks when rain caught us off guard. Foreman even took the time on a long weekend to drive from the ferries to Anmore to make sure the roof partially finished was not leaking. Very impressed with crew.
Also the crew manager came out on last day to inspect the job and recommend a minor change.
When you compare the cost of other roofs and how many times you have to replace them in the life time of the metal roof and to the cost, it just makes financial sense to get a metal roof! Especially from this company!

I have had my roof since 1998. There was a problem with the powder coating coming off... the roof was totally replaced at no charge to me! I would highly recommend Interlock to anyone wanting a professional looking roof with no maintenance.
I have installed snow guards and they work perfectly.

My roof after being damaged this company would not work with my insurance company.
Also, the previous owner hand me a file on the roof and nowhere did it say he had to transfer the warranty within 2 or 3 months of selling the property.
Result, no warranty. The product design does not allow you to modify roof after installation without ripping off and replacing the entire roof. They don’t keep the same colours in stock so even if you replace half the roof you will have different colours.

Very happy with the quality and look of the roof. Only issue I had is that snow would slide off like an avalanche. Some blocks were installed but they were not 100% effective. If you have a steep roof (I did) that needs to be managed for walkways, etc.

We had our roof done in February 2012. The staff from Interlock are very professional. The finished product looked excellent and kept our hydro bill down. We got many praises from neighbours and friends. Highly recommend it to anybody.

In 2011, we entered a contract to replace our shake roof with a metal shake roof. The crew showed up and proceeded to tear off the old roof creating mounds of debris around our house, I was pleasantly surprised at the end of the day to find that all the debris was gone! This continued to be standard procedure throughout the replacement process, our crew always maintained a tidy worksite. They worked on our roof for 2 1/2 weeks and paid meticulous attention to detail. When done, we were very proud of our new roof! It has been 9 years now and our roof still looks brand new, no leaks, other homes in our area opted for asbestos shingles which are discoloured and have streaky stains. We are really happy with our choice. We were very happy with the personable and competent crew that did our installation. The warranty offered on the roof is also a nice feature, if anything goes wrong at anytime, they will fix it and if we sell the house, the warranty is passed to the new owner. Thank you Interlock for our beautiful roof and peace of mind!

Very Pleased with the snow Rails that were added to my Interlock Roofing System. They blended in well with the rest of the roof.

We had the roof done about five years ago. It still looks great and are very happy with it. We did have to get the guys to come by and do a fix with the venting, but no problems. Also, when the snow comes down, it does come down. Neighbours are always asking about price, and quality. We are quite happy with the job...
