As a Realtor, I have referred clients to Salvador Remodeling & Construction and have personally utilized their services. They are responsive, timely, pleasant and provide quality services at very fair prices. I don't hesitate to refer and will continue to do so.

I have decided to post this for awareness. We hired Maria Salvador who was recommended by one mom from a mom group.
We hired her back in February to build a 3 season room for our 3y.o. daughter to have her own space for her therapies. She was diagnosed with autism and have 3 therapists coming every week. We tighten our budget as much as we can to have this project happen.
When we met with her, she said that she will handle the architectural design as she has an architect who works for her and get the permits needed. She promised that the whole project will be done in 4-6weeks. To make this long horrible, traumatic and stressful story short, we only have the foundation done and it even failed the inspection. We paid her more than half of the total project. She lied the moment the project started. She didn’t have a permit and tried to convince us that we don’t need it. My husband insisted that she should get one. That took time. The architect she hired is not licensed here in Illinois; she claimed that he is licensed in California but the architects and contractors who I spoke with regarding our problem believe that the guy might not even be an architect. We were able to secure a permit but the village required several revisions which the “architect” refused to update after the 4th time. She kept saying that the inspector has been coming but he only came one time and said that our foundation failed the inspection. When we went to the village, they informed us that our permit is not valid anymore because the revisions were not submitted. She didn’t know that is our situation now. The contractor’s solution to have the updated drawings is to have her friend who is a retired architect to revise it then have a licensed architect sign and stamp it. Another shady step that will cause more issues‍♀️ so many more lies I want to mention.
We ended our contract with her on September 25 and asked our money back. We were advised to ask for everything since the work they did failed the inspection. But out of respect to her, we gave her a good amount. She told us that she has our money but until now, she hasn’t returned all our money. She promised she will pay this day, then it won’t happen. Delay after delay. Lie after lie. She sent a screenshot of her overdrafted account. I practically beg her everyday to give our money back so we can move on but to no avail.
