HX Home Solutions replaced our gutters. Phil was great to work with and took extra time to discuss and explain his recommendation. Julian and his crew did a great job with installation and clean-up. Gutters look great and function as they should. Would definitely recommend this company! Nice and professional!!

I am very disappointed with the poor customer service provided by HX Solutions. I called to request an estimate for roofing, gutters, siding, and exterior painting. After several attempts via email and phone calls, I finally received a roof estimate, but nothing else. I’m not sure if my last name or my hometown influenced their lack of interest, but I encourage the Latino community to avoid wasting time with this company.

Had them due the Roof Maxx treatment to our older roof. The team did a great job prepping and cleaning after the job. Unfortunately the treatment was not that successful, but Shaunak help me come to an amicable solution and stood by his work. Stand up company!

We decided to go with HX Home Solutions for our roof replacement, painting, and gutters & downspouts this spring. Their prices were competitive and the quality of the work was excellent. They were also flexible with their scheduling to take care of the roof when we were on vacation. We will definitely go with them again for our future home upgrades!!!

We used HX last Fall to replace our cedar siding with Hardie board. They also replaced our roof, skylights, and gutters. Gary was very responsive from the beginning, coming to our house the same day I called about getting a quote. The project was not without a few minor issues, but Gary addressed them promptly. The two-man team that installed the siding was clearly experienced and offered helpful advice on design. We are extremely happy with the finished product! When I pull into my driveway, I get a little lift because I love the way our home looks!

Great experience working with Phil on the custom designs and accurate measurements for a couple of ProVia entry and storm doors. The installation was done by two very nice highly skilled gentlemen who did an excellent job. I highly recommend HX Home Solutions In Libertyville.

I recently had the pleasure of working with HX Home Solution, and I can't recommend them highly enough! I initially reached out to them to inquire about Roof Max, and they came out to assess my roof to see if I qualified. After considering my options, I decided it was time for a new roof, and I also discovered I needed some masonry work on my chimney.

The storm damaged my roof when a tree fell on top of the back of the house I called multiple roofers and no one was willing to even give me an estimate and come to cover the holes on the roof. I couldn't be happier with the work Gary Sanders and the HX Home Solutions team has done for me. This was my first time hiring someone to do work in my home, and I was nervous, to say the least. I'm a firm believer in doing it yourself if you want it done right. I had spent weeks shopping around, getting quotes, and listening to sales pitches from different contractors and window salesmen. All of them recommended pocket windows even though my frames were completely rotted. All these companies wanted thousands of dollars for essentially a band-aid fix. They wanted to cut out just the rotted trim and cap it rather than doing the job right. I was extremely frustrated because no one was offering a solution that made sense.
I was referred to Gary Sanders, who was the only one to offer me a real solution. He recommended a full frame Pella replacement window, which included replacing the interior and exterior trim. He was competitive with his pricing, communicated through the whole process, and answered my endless questions. He never tried to sell me something I didn't need or point me in the wrong direction. He made the process much less intimidating and saved me the headache of continuing to look for an honest company.
When it came to the actual installation, Richie and his team were extremely professional and efficient. Gary also made sure to stop by during the installation in case anything was needed or if I had any questions. They never left a mess and did an astounding job. Their craftsmanship is truly amazing. The difference in quality between my windows and the recently replaced windows in my neighborhood is like night and day.
Tony, the painter, also did an incredible job with the finishing touches on the interior trim. The trim is absolutely gorgeous, and his finishing touches made it even better. He was very professional, kind, and overall a pleasant guy to chat with.

My 26yr old home roof shingle rejuvenation procedure performed by Shaunak Ahuja's HX Home Solutions team consisting of lead Mario, and partners Bart, and Damien. This company and its team are AAA FIVE STAR from my perspective. Looking at my roof I felt at best it had maybe 2yrs left in it. until I was put in contact with Shaunak, the shingles were very dry with nails popping loose and losing their grainy particulate, also the shingles are of a discontinued color and obsolete style which made them unobtainable for me to source, it took Shaunak about 15 minutes to locate and get shipped from out of state a bundle of the out of production roof shingles. Next step over comes his team 8:00 A M and up on the roof right to work inspecting, replacing, reattaching, sealing, and chalking the shingles rendering the roof as secure as possible, that step alone took 3 men 4 or 5 hours, then came the application of the shingle rejuvenating solution which is hi-tech it took about an hr. at the point of seeing the final product I was astatic, and from my point of view I have what appears to look like a new roof that looks amazing. Mario, Bart, and Damien Fa nominal men who take pride in their work and treat their customers the way we appreciate being treated. After a ton of research, we turned to Shaunak, Pawal, and their whole team to help us modernize our 1980s house into exactly the property we were looking for. We wanted something transitional modern, and they came through with not just the best work but the best price for us to completely transform our dream home.

HX Home Solutions did our door and window replacement and we couldn't be happier! Mario and Shaunak were both so friendly and knowledgeable. They worked with us to revise our quote multiple times so our windows and doors were fully customized to what we wanted, but they also worked to stay within our budget. They did our project during one of the busiest times of the year - right before winter when everyone is upgrading windows - and yet the expected turn around time was substantially better than every other company we got quotes from. And they ended up being ready even quicker than predicted!

The crew on the days of installation was wonderful - friendly and very professional. They were speedy but very thorough, and always fully cleaned up after themselves. And Mario made sure to check in every day to ensure everything went smoothly. He even went and found us new trim that matched since the old one couldn't be salvaged! And he's so knowledgeable on all things home improvement, he answered a couple unrelated questions for me, which (as a first time homeowner) was so nice and helpful.

Then just a couple months after installation we had that week of snow and -30 degree temperatures and the new windows and doors insulated beautifully. Our home stayed perfectly warm with no draft or anything.

I’ve recently hired them to work on my interior bathroom and several years ago they’ve completely resided my home and installed new shingles. HX was Pella’s preferred contractor for the installation of our new slider door. From the beginning Shaunek’s team, headed by Mario, were excellent. Mario came out for a quote evaluation. He was friendly, professional and thorough. We were replacing a window with the slider so some construction was required. Exterior brick work had to be removed, the lower part of the wall had to be removed and a hvac register had to be moved to the left to accommodate the door opening. The masons headed by Ziggy did a fantastic job. You cannot tell that any changes were made. Richie installed the door . It is perfect! Mario moved the vent and and register over. It looks as though it has always been set up this way. I would highly recommend HX Home Solutions for any construction job that you have. Thorough, professional, and friendly with great customer service. Good prices too!

We had HX replace our windows as well as our front & storm doors. The total order was 19 windows, 1 4-light bow, front door with sidelights and a sliding glass/screen storm door. We worked with Phil on the sale, Shaunak and Shelly on the documentation and correspondence, and Richie on the install. They were all very informative, honest, and pleasant to work with.

There was no pushy sales pitch from Phil like we experienced with the regional and national window companies. He gave us our window options, pros & cons of each, timelines, and fair prices. Contracting, scheduling, and any other correspondence was smooth and timely. Our manufacturing wait time was about 10 weeks, then Richie installed everything within a week.

A few items of note: I was impressed that Richie not only tested each item, but also handled the claim with the manufacturer to replace the non-functional pieces (a few safety locks and latches). He returned within 2 weeks after install to change those out. Also, our storm door glass didn't align correctly to itself, so HX handled that warranty claim with the manufacturer, who sent a new storm door and wanted the misaligned one back. Shaunak, Phil, and Richie each played a role with this and made the process very smooth for us.

Lastly, their price was very fair. It wasn't the cheapest quote we received nor was it the most expensive. For the service and quality of materials, we definitely got our money's worth.

I was very impressed with the work I had completed by HX home solutions! Usually when I've hired contractors, it's a headache - whether because of problems scheduling or rude employees, I hate dealing with it. However, HX home solutions made the entire process so easy, it felt like I was receiving star treatment. The work quality was also excellent. My new garage roof is gorgeous, which is an odd thing to say about a garage roof, but it's the truth. I highly recommend them.

They finished our basement end to end from design and permits to all of the finishes, including a full bathroom, wet bar, and fireplace. HX Home Solutions updated my house with new windows, siding, and a roof. My neighbors have commented on how great my house looks. The work was great and they fixed all the problems that they found. I hired Paul at HX Home solutions to remodel my kitchen and living room. He took my house from 1980’s to modern 21st century. Paul and his crew were very professional and finished the project ahead of time and on budget. I would have no regrets referring Paul to family and friends. His work and knowledge are beyond any contractor I have ever seen. I absolutely love the way my house came out.

I can’t recommend HX home solutions enough! I had a LOT of windows to replace in my home. I did a consult with a popular window company and felt like they were just trying to sell me their most expensive product. Shaunak and Phil went over my options clearly and their cost was much more affordable than the competitor. Shaunak helped me design a gorgeous front door when I didn’t really know what I wanted. They gave me a realistic time estimate and started work right when they said they would. The installers were so kind, professional, and they worked HARD. They cleaned up after each day and communicated what they would be doing and when. They also did exterior and interior trim which made a HUGE difference. Glad I found them and will definitely use them for other projects in my home.

I would not recommend HX Home Solutions. Shaunak, the owner, was consistently late for scheduled appointments and would not return phone calls. He was very quick to ask for money up-front, but would not return calls. If you want an unresponsive contractor, that is what you will get. We eventually went with another GC. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or Shaunak will waste your time and money.

Phil was great. Our house has older Hardie siding installed by some other company. While I was concerned about some boards in wetter areas, Phil told me what needed to be done, which turns out to be minimal. I learned two things today: James Hardie is fabulous siding, and if I ever need to replace it, the only company I would call for installation is HX Home Solutions. Thanks again for your help, Phil.

We have worked with HX Home Solutions on 3 separate occasions, and were satisfied each time. In the most resent work they replaced 9 second floor windows with vinyl ProVia windows. These are good quality windows at a reasonable cost. The sashes go up and down smoothly and they tip inward for washing and can also be removed.

I was concerned with possible damage being done to siding and plantings around the perimeter of the house during the replacement process. No damage occurred! We were sent a two man crew to replace the windows. A man by the name of Richie was in charge. After asking our permission they set up their equipment in our garage and on our driveway. Richie worked from inside the house and his crew mate worked outside on a ladder. They covered the floor near each window for protection. There was much less noise and pounding than I had expected. The work took one and a half days. When they left my garage was cleaner than before they came.

What really impressed me about Richie is when I asked him to remove an old bird nest from the gutter above one of the new windows. During the removal of the nest I noticed that the gutter was also loose at that point. He tightened it up with 2 screws. Richie refused my offer of money for these side jobs. Without his help I would have need to hire someone else to do this simple job.

HX Home Solutions replaced the siding on my home with Hardie Board - board and batten. I am very pleased with their work. They made working with them easy. Thank you!

Let me start by saying that I don’t write up reviews unless a company has truly done and all-around exceptional job. That is definitely the case for HX Home solutions!

I had them re-side the 6 gables (with frieze boards) on my home with Hardie shingles. The results were exceptional. The crew (Rob and Matt) are excellent carpenters who I found were with the company for an impressively long time. I was very impressed by the detail they paid to the installation from start to finish on what I would say were some rather difficult situations. I say all this after having a rather extensive experience working with contractors over the years on several properties that I have owned.

How did I decide on HX after speaking with at least 5 Hardie contractors? It started with meeting with Phil (the estimator). He and I spoke the same language dealing with construction and I could tell he had a great deal of hands on experience himself.

Their contract was very detailed and thorough. Pricing was very competitive and actually was substantially lower that Landmark Exteriors.

Al in all, I would consider HX the company to go with on your remodeling projects.

Our whole house window installation experience was exceptional. HX Home Solutions provided clear communication throughout the week-long process. The high quality work was done very orderly by expert installers who maintained a very clean job site throughout the installation process. One of our best house project experiences we had in the 25 years we've owned our home.

From start to finish, HX Home solutions showed a remarkable degree of professionalism. The project was to remodel a 30-year-old fireplace, replacing black marble with a beautiful stone veneer and the result is nothing short of amazing. Ziggy, the stone mason displayed a rare measure of old-world craftsmanship with close attention to detail. Alan, my HX contact was exceptionally helpful in guiding me through the project. .. Overall, this fireplace remodel changed the entire look of my home, and I couldn't be happier

HX replaced my original faded/cracked wood front door with a beautiful ProVia fiberglass door. The installation required that the seams on the sides be sealed with caulk to weatherproof it. HX sealed it with caulk but then fabricated an extra panel to make the installation look perfect. They also stained the new casing to perfectly match the door. They truly take great pride in their work and in customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend them and will be using them again for other projects.

All of the employees at HX Home Solutions were great to work with throughout the process from design to installation. They replaced our front door and installed a new service door in the garage. They helped us get just what we wanted. The installers were friendly, professional, and meticulous in their work. The doors we ordered are excellent in quality and beautiful. Overall, great experience and would use this company again.

This is the 2nd time we’ve hired them, once for exterior stone work and this time for the primary bathroom. I’m picky about details and I fully trust their workmanship and quality. Paul and Marcin were on-time, communicated well, and did quality work. There were no breaks or downtime in the project once they started and we felt they actually cared about the final product.
