We have been living in our Saltwater constructed house for a few months now and I wanted to take the time to thank our builder and his team for all of their hard work, craftsmanship and professionalism that led to us being in our dream home. From the moment we met Robbie at a model house, we knew we wanted to work with him. He was personable, had great style and a reputation for building solid houses. Through the design process and construction, the entire team at Saltwater were a pleasure to deal with. We built during a difficult time in the real estate and construction markets- right at the start of Covid- but Saltwater navigated any issues with professionalism and fairness. Now that we’ve moved in, I can say confidently that the quality of the build was exceptional. Every detail of our home was built with care and it shows. After closing we had some very minor issues arise, as would be expected with a new build, and their warranty team addressed each minor issue with shocking speed- they went above and beyond our expectations.
We could not be happier with Saltwater and would 100% recommend them to anyone. If I could give them 10 stars in this review I would have! Thank you Robbie, Nichole, Art and the entire team at Saltwater!

We built in the midst of Covid, with supply change issues ,cost increases, labor shortages... But with all that behind us, we are truly enjoying our new Saltwater Home!The end result outshined our expectations.
Robbie's attention to detail in our design phase;Art's patience to answer, and address issues and concerns throughout the build; their warranty department post move in...all counter, any bumps and we might have had through the journey.

Just moved into my new Saltwater built home. Couldnt be happier. Rob,Nichole and Art are a pleasure to deal with. The high quality of workmanship and material stands out wherever you look. I would not hesitate to have Saltwater build me another home. Bella casa did an awesome job on cabinets and I must say the paint crew brought the whole house together by doing an unbelievable paint job. We are living our Best Life in Paradise in our Saltwater Custom Home in Palm Coast... We met their Sales Rep Joe in their decorated model and we were impressed with the quality, value and attention to detail of the model. From there Joe helped us find an intracoastal waterfront lot in a luxury community and then a wonderful rental home to live in during the construction. Joe introduced us to Robbie who spent hours with us patiently working out every custom detail of our new Waterfront Pool Home during a time of some unplanned personal adversity for us. The entire Saltwater Homes staff was great working with us through every phase of the planning and construction. After several years in our new home they are now building a house for my sister in the same community. Highly Recommended !

This is the second house Saltwater built for my family. The design phase, before construction begins, went smoothly. Rob has a natural ability to sense what you want and making changes during this phase was effortless. His high level knowledge and expertise are apparent.

Rob’s entire team is professional, experienced and easy to work with-very accommodating. The construction process went just as smoothly. Most of his subs have been working with him for years, and that says a lot about this home builder. The superintendent who was assigned to us was great: on the job and always kept us informed. The little extras that were put in our home really make a difference. His painters and trim carpenters did an excellent job and our home shows it.

I feel that I made the right decision to go with Saltwater. How often do you hear about a good experience building a house? If you’re still talking to the builder at the end, that is unusual! We are, and are extremely happy with the final product.

Saltwater finished our custom home in Feb 2022. Yes it took longer than we would have liked, during Covid, but we don’t hold that against them. The workmanship is excellent and the overall cost was as expected. There were no surprises, and that’s what you always want with when building a custom home. Would build with them again for sure.

We are very happy with our decision to build with Saltwater Homes. Even though we were not living here at the time, the process went smoothly thanks to great communication with Rob, Nichole and Art. We highly recommend Saltwater Homes.

This was an absolute turn-key experience. We lived out of state while building this home . The building process and expectations were explained and discussed . As a result timelines were met and concerns and questions were resolved and answered immediately. Their long-standing relationship with all vendors was evident. Saltwater was solely responsible and kept the process moving on time. All work was executed to the highest degree of craftsmanship . The wonderful experience we had did not end the day we moved in . Communication with the builder and staff continues on a regular basis to ensure our satisfaction.

Salt Waters is a super, dependable family-owned company. It does top-notch work and is excellent to work with. Nicole was very helpful in the selection process and very professional. They took care of your family’s most significant investment by attention to detail during the construction. I Highly recommend this company.

Saltwater was great to work with and we are very happy with our home. Building during the peak of Covid hysteria was a challenge for both parties, but we worked our way through it.

This Builder made us see that we had a contract, and with an agreed value, and for 18 months, we waited for the construction to begin, and we received an increase of 40%. We went to our lawyer he told us we had been mislead, also the lawyer had two more clients who were experiencing the same problem from this builder of receiving from the Builder the exact figure of the value of the increase. They didn't even bother to put different figures statistics. I suggest to stay away from this builder as far as possible. Not professional at all. Go to the Houzz app and look for the reviews from this builder. We end up paying for the architectural plans without having built. This is completely unfair.

Saltwater Homes just recently completed our "dream home" and we couldn't be more satisfied. The entire process from start to finish exceeded our already high expectations. When we sat down with Joe C, he patiently explained the build process and what to expect. And after meeting with Robbie, we immediately knew this was the perfect relationship moving forward. He took the time to design a beautiful home for my wife and I. And was very receptive to our ideas and guided us in making the proper decisions. Nichole also took a generous amount of time with us to make selections and changes along the way. Her suggestions with integral parts of the project were invaluable, as she was involved in just about every crucial decision we had to make. She was/is amazing. Our project manager Art is simply one of the calmest individuals I have ever met. This home was built during unprecedented times and many curveballs were thrown our/his way. He was a much needed calming presence. My wife and I greatly appreciate Nichole and Art for dealing with our constant requests, change orders and anything else that we could bring up to them. Lydieth and Marisella were also helpful whenever we needed assistance. As for the home...well, It's a Saltwater Home. What else would you expect? Quality from the ground up. The masons, framers, roofers, tile, landscapers, carpenters and electricians are all top notch. The painters and trim staff are the best around. All of the detail put forth is evident. Saltwater homes has a great team and they treat you like family. We had a wonderful experience during this process. Not to mention a lot of fun and laughs. And we would do it all over again. I can't recommend Saltwater Homes as a builder. It isn't because of the quality of construction, it is because of the back office. They have serious issues with managing the projects and it was a nightmare getting our house closed. We were originally told it would take 9 months once they break ground. They then changed their story to 12 months because we have a 2 story. Never did they say it took a year when we were in the planning stages. It actually took 15 months. Yes, we were building during Covid but the owner was building a house as well that started after ours and was finished before ours. We also saw the homes around the model going up faster than ours. Things really started going south the summer of 2021. After we picked out our tile in January 2020 and believing they were ordering it for our house found out they only order just before install. Well, 1 1/2 years later, the tile we selected for our shower and fireplace were either back-ordered or discontinued. So we had to go out and select something else that was in stock as to not delay the process. Then they didn't install the tile for months. We could have ordered our original selection that was back ordered if we had known they wouldn't install quickly. We never received any form of apology for not ordering on time or putting us out. They didn't take any responsibility for their lack of management. Our first attempt to close was in July 2021. During our walk through the week before closing, it was clear the house would not be ready. No shower enclosures, shelving in closets or pantry, doors missing and numerous other items. We pushed it to August, 30 days later. August came and the Monday before closing on Friday they hadn't done any of our punch list items from July. We were told the way the house is now is how it would be on Friday for closing and they were ready. We still didn't have shower enclosures or shelving for closets and pantry. We said cancel the closing and listed in detail the items that must be completed prior to closing. Only then did they start working. It was the week of closing in September before they finally installed the shower enclosures and shelving. We were warned before we signed with Saltwater and we didn't listen. Go with Forister Bush. He was on site every day and had completed the neighbors house in 7 months. All during Covid!

Revised Review...Unorganized office. After designing a home, we got the run around and constant price increases for the next 2 years. They failed to stick to the executed contract timelines. So a year after signing the contract, construction was still supposedly 6 months from starting. Frustrated with their process and inability to stick to the contract time frames, we decided not to follow through after wasting 2 years of our time. Of course, we're told they're keeping our deposit and we should appreciate that they don't charge us more, because of what they have invested.?.? I question the term "custom home builder" with these people. As our "custom home" seemed to much for them to handle.

Beautiful homes!

Joe, the salesman, was a complete jerk. Essentially he doesn't want to work with any buyers who have their own realtor. Most unprofessional. Unfortunately Saltwater's online presence is pitiful so we have been unable to find anyone else in the company to work with. They lost a sale before we even got any information.

My wife and I had our home built by Saltwater, begun in 2015. It was completed in 2016. It is on the Hammock barrier island less than 1/2 mile from the ocean. I have very little except praise for Saltwater, their staff, and crew. I did give them 5 stars, but there were a few issues with their subcontractors. Affordable landscaping installed the irrigation system. As set up, the irrigation system was drowning two bushes in front and not watering two (expensive) trees in back. The most alarming situation was with hurricane Matthew approaching, I found that about forty of the storm shutter anchors screwed out because the the screws into the anchors had been way overtightened and/or the anchors had been poorly installed. In addition, one storm shutter was missing. On the day before evacuation, I was forced to reset the anchors with epoxy and build a wood shutter.

After returning on Saturday, after Matthew, I inspected our house. It had suffered zero damage. I checked the ceilings for water leaks and/or cracks from flexing. I went up in the Florida "basement" and inspected the attic area. I have found no evidence of any damage. This is a testament to how well Saltwater built the house.

When we began looking for a home in Flagler County, we’d not planned to build having heard many tales of problems, headaches, and stress brought on by the process. However, once we found the location we loved, we decided to accept the challenge of new construction. After communicating with a number of custom home builders, we (thankfully) engaged Saltwater Homes to build our new home. From day one, everyone on the Saltwater team, including the vendors and subcontractors we met, were simply fantastic. During the process …. from planning to construction to completion ….. we never once experienced any of the “horror stories” we thought were inherent to new construction. And … the finished product exceeds our expectations …. we love our new home. Building with Saltwater Homes is what building a home “should be”; a positive experience, a complete sense of trust from start to finish, and the peace of mind knowing that you’re working with a builder with integrity and a commitment to excellence ….. a builder that truly cares about his customer.

We have built two homes with Saltwater Homes within the last two years and have had a great experience with all the staff. Most relationships are built on confidence and trust when building a home. This is where Saltwater Homes has the edge on many of the other builders in the community. My first choice if I were to build another home would be Saltwater Homes.

My wife and I have been in our custom designed courtyard home approaching 8 months now. Let me take a moment to emphatically say Saltwater Homes truly delivered on building our dream home. Without question the overall experience working with this builder was excellent and I recommend them to anyone who asks. They build a beautiful home! So many elevations to choose from and always professional and on time! I would recommend them to my friends and family! They are the BEST!
