What a great company. I called Tony to come look at my roof to see what was wrong with it because I had a leak in my kitchen on the ceiling. Well he was there for a few hours and it was a pipe boot that was messed up. He didn’t charge us anything and just said if you ever have problems with your roof, just make sure you call me. Of course I will and I will also recommend you to everyone. Anyone else would’ve tried to take advantage of us and he didn’t. There still are great people in this world. Thank you Saltbox and Tony.

My experience with Saltbox Construction was excellent, Marc made all the arrangements very quickly. The only thing I had to do was give the authorization and that was it. Then the work of replacing the roof was done in one day, leaving everything very clean. I personally recommend Saltbox Construction.

Saltbox Construction is the best company I’ve ever worked with. Mark was tremendous at inspecting the roof and working with the insurance company and myself when our roof needed to be replaced due to storm damage. He was very friendly and helped navigate the whole process so it was almost effortless. His crew was very efficient and professional. They even worked through their normal break to beat the rain which we appreciated. After they left, you could barely tell they had been at our house (besides our new roof which we love and our very thankful for). Jon came out to our home to give us an estimate. He was kind, thorough and answered all my questions. Saltbox Construction were a joy to work with. From the beginning they were responsive, friendly, respectful, and informative. They explained everything clearly and fully delivered on everything they quoted me for. Costs were reasonable, and the work was done quickly without sacrificing on quality. I had an entire new roof installed, with quality materials and expert craftsmanship, in under two days. They even thoughtfully removed the flagpole I had forgotten to take down, and were very careful about avoiding damage to the rest of the house while installing the roof. I was given all the information I needed, and felt very comfortable working with them. I highly recommend Saltbox Construction to anyone looking for quality customer service and expert work.

After Christmas we noticed our roof was leaking into our scuttle attic in the bonus room. I called Saltbox and Chris was able to come out to inspect the next day. It was very wet on the attic floor but there was no obvious sign of where the water was coming from. Chris checked the main attic as a precaution and said it would be best to wait until the next rain to better locate the issue. The next time it rained I was able to pinpoint a tiny drip and photographed it as best I could. Chris had a crew member out a few days later to review the area and locate the problem with flashing. He spent 30 minutes up on the roof and when he came off of it, he said it had been fixed. We’ve had several heavy rains since then and the scuttle area has remained dry. Chris is very communicative through text, and he and his crew members are respectful inside the home, removing shoes when coming inside from the yard. Not all contractors do this! 10/10. Would not hesitate to recommend Saltbox

Mark and the crew did a great job and cleaned up like they were never here. My wife is fussy and would have complained to no end if there had been any mess and really happy with everything about the work. The roof looks great.

I'd not heard of Saltbox Construction. But I met Mark Raleigh after his crew had finished installing new shingles on a number (I believe 6) of other houses in my neighborhood. He explained to me without any pressure how the new shingles process goes, all the ins and outs, etc. Mark also let me know he would deal directly with the insurance adjuster so the process would go seamlessly. I now have beautiful new 30-year architectural shingles installed. And could not be happier with the entire experience. Highly professional every step of the way, including cleanup after the job. I highly recommend Saltbox construction for your roofing needs!

We contacted Chris with concerns of water leaking through our copper awning. Chris Rhoades is great. He inspected my roof on several occasions and in one case put a patch on to prevent a leak. Both times, he did it as a "free inspection", refusing my offers to pay him- saying "just keep us in mind when you are ready to replace your roof"! He is helpful and considerate- a real great small business!

The owner knows his stuff! Chris was quick to respond and knowledgeable on shingle types. Will be using him in the future!

We worked with John Godkin (Saltbox Construction) to address multiple issues (and completely replace) on our old roof. His close attention and diligent work were incredibly appreciated!

Of note, our insurance company initially offered a paltry sum after their appraisal of the damage; then, John took the time go on the roof and document all of the issues in a clear, formal document which he presented to the insurance company — they completely changed course and paid for the whole replacement!

During the job, John made sure our house/property was protected from any debris or damage — even our Halloween decorations were protected! :-)

I can’t speak highly enough about Saltbox. We had our nearly 6,000 square foot roof replaced last week along with replacing two attic fans. The crew was always on time and worked very hard. I’m so grateful we were able to do the job in the cool of the fall rather than blistering heat!

From initial contact to completion, the communication was top notch. Our main contact was Matt Brooks and he was both very professional and very personable.

Here’s my best compliment. Recall that we have a very large roof, rather pitched and many valleys. After completion and following cleanup I walked the perimeter of the house. I did not find a single nail. Not one. I found only a tiny collection of debris from the old roof. Simply amazing.

Anyway, if you need a roof replacement or repair and you’re not talking to Saltbox, you’re not doing the best for your home.

Jon, Chris, and the crew were all really great with my difficult roofing situation. They answered the phone every time I called and were very helpful with getting things fixed the right way. They cleaned up well. We are very happy with the new roof!

We were hit by a tornado last weekend and ended up with a sizable tree branch stuck in our roof. I panicked because it was a holiday weekend and most places were closed, but Chris took my call and showed up very promptly to access the damage. He was able to patch the roof before more rain moved in and stopped further damage to our house. He's also been great in working with us and our insurance adjuster as we navigate that process. I've happily recommended him to my neighbors and if I have any further issues with my roof in the future he's the first person I'm calling!

This was a very pleasant experience working with Jon B. His crew came exactly on time, rarely stopped working even though the sun and temp were above normal. the installation itself was flawless with an excellent clean-up particularly for those nails. Jon made some suggestions to enhance the installation and saved us some money in doing so.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Jon and the rest of his crew! From initial evaluation of our roof, to obtaining insurance coverage, shingle selection and instillation of the new roof, Jon guided us through the entire process with the upmost professionalism. The crew worked long days and cleaned up the property, barely leaving a nail and did a great job protecting the landscaping around the house! Our project included a unique installation of a weathervane onto the turret of our Victorian style home! The entire project turned out beyond our expectations and we cannot recommend Saltbox (and especially Jon) highly enough!

Chris came out and did a roof inspection on a home that we were purchasing. He was very quick in getting the inspection done as well as providing the estimate. However, we have spoken them twice to come out and do the repairs and were told they would call us back to get it scheduled but we were never contacted.

My Experience with Saltbox Construction was great! I’ve never felt more comfortable repairing my roof. The workers were so Kind and diligently hard working. I had a solar panel system on my roof in which they kindly took off and reinstalled. They showed up on time as scheduled. Everything in the contract was performed and job was done. 110% all effort was put in to finish the job as timely as possible and neatly. Mark Raleigh takes pride in his work and is a man of his word. I strongly recommend talking to this man, he will get the job done as advertised.

Fantastic job by the team. Day after installation a large storm related to one of the hurricanes came through and we had no of the issues we use to have.

Saltbox Construction has been a joy to work with. I had them replace some rotted fascia (and rakes -- a new word they taught me!). I also had them inspect the roof to see whether it looked damaged by wind and whether any damage looked bad enough that it could be covered by insurance. The roof was getting on in years, so I didn't think I could get much help from insurance if I had to replace it.

Jon Benitez came out and inspected the roof and advised that he thought it could be covered by insurance. When the insurance adjuster (actually a "ladder-man" reporting to the adjuster) came out, I had Jon go up with him. Jon pointed out the damage to the satisfaction of the insurance guy, but the back-office adjuster said repair looked possible. Jon came out again and took video of the shingles being too fragile to do a successful repair, which convinced the adjuster to approve a whole roof replacement. I had Saltbox put on the new roof and it looks beautiful, with architectural shingles and drip edge, both effectively upgrades from what I had before, all within the amount that insurance covered.

Jon did a great job for us, both as an advisor in dealing with the insurance company, as our guy on the roof and in our corner, so to speak, and in overseeing the roof installation and the replacement of a gutter we also had them take care of. He even threw in repair of several feet of fascia and rake on the other side of the house, since I'd found it rotted when I painted in preparation for the new roof going on.

I recommend Saltbox & Jon Benitez to anybody looking for a roof or related exterior work. They did a great job for us!
