I can not express how happy we are. Artisan was amazing from Dustin’s first contact with us and follow up as well as pictures and report provided, to Holly and Olivia in the office guiding me every step of the way. And then the crew! Fabulous! Flawless! Perfectionist! When they say your roof will be replaced and you will never even know our employees were there, they are not lying! We received pictures as the job was being done, knowing all that was wrong originally as well as what was being replaced. Hands down best customer service I have ever received from any company that has done work for us. This family of a crew has been with them since the start of the company, and you can tell. 6am started and they finished by 1030am like it never happened. I can't say enough good things about Artisan Quality Roofing. From the initial quote through completion, they made what I expected to be a stressful process incredibly smooth and easy.

The team was fantastic to work with at every stage - they helped refine our insurance claim for hail damage, were flexible with scheduling, and communicated clearly throughout. But what really blew me away was the actual installation day. They completed our entire roof replacement - from demo to final cleanup - in just 6 hours. I've never seen such an efficient, well-coordinated job.

You can tell this crew has been working together for years (many have been with the company 12+ years). They're clearly friends and family, and their chemistry and teamwork showed in every aspect of the work. Despite the speed, they were meticulous and left our property absolutely spotless.

I can not speak highly enough about this company. From the first phone call to meeting their estimator, to the workmanship, and now an inspection four years after the original installation, it's been nothing short of excellent. Every encounter has been a pleasure.

We learned of them on Next Door when we needed a new roof. I interviewed and got quotes from three different companies and chose Artisan. My decision was based on their price, product, scope of the work, warranties, and the interaction and impression of the owner. I felt like my investment would be in capable hands, and I was right. It turned out beautiful, and I felt my house would be protected for many, many years to come.

Flash forward four years later, and based on their recommendation at the time of the original installation, I scheduled an inspection. Even though everything looked good as new to me looking from the ground and we've had no issues, I felt it was a wise thing to do.

I was thrilled to hear that after four years, their roof inspection (which was not via drone, but he actually went up there) showed everything is still in perfect condition, with all in place as it should be. To me, that speaks volumes of the product they use and their workmanship.

We needed to have a new roof on our home. I researched diligently and talked with several companies / compared pricing, etc. I wasn't looking for the cheapest necessarily, but nor did I want to get ripped off. One company quotes me astronomically. Another was a good bit lower. Artisan's pricing was right in there - the slightest bit higher than another option. What sold me on them was a few things. They do not subcontract out their projects but utilize regular employees. Their customer service and non-salesy vibe was refreshing. Having seen the project through to completion now, I could not be more pleased. Our home looks amazing! The work is high quality. And literally EVERY single person we dealt with has been amazing, so patient and helpful. Let's be honest, that is HARD to find today in our entitled / slacker society. I will ABSOLUTELY be recommending this company and will definitely use them again! Grateful!

Artisan Quality Roofing did an awesome job replacing my roof. They showed up early in the morning and managed to get the entire job done in one day which I would not have thought possible (but was very convenient and ideal for me). They were professional, cleaned up the job site well and my new roof looks great and I am comfortable that the prior issues I had are now resolved.

They did a great job in locating the problem leak and being able to complete the job in a day. Fully explaining the issues and the solution to the problem.

My experience with Artisan Roofing was simply perfect. Super responsive for initial on site inspection, recommendations and quoting. Responsive and communicative during planning the new roof process. A complete crew showed up exactly when expected, early in the day. They protected the exterior of the home during demo and new roof installation, and addressed some other issues they discovered during the re-roofing process. All done by 3 PM. Fairly priced, fantastic to deal with.

Contacted Artisan Quality Roofing for a total roof replacement... due to age of the roof, not weather-damage. Dustin, the sales manager, spent two hours with us, inspecting the roof, gutters and attic, as well as spending time educating us about roofs, explaining options to us, and showing us other work they had done in the community. He did not make a high-pressure sales pitch... rather, he showed us what Artisan could do and let us make the decision.

We received a quote from Artisan within 48 hours. It was very competitive with another local roofing company... and substantially lower than a national company that works in the area.

We had many options for roof colors. We narrowed our choices down to four. The office then gave us addresses of homes they had re-roofed with the colors we were interested in, so that we could see what the finished product looked like in normal lighting.

Scheduling the roof replacement was very easy with the Apex office. The crew that came out arrived shortly after 6 AM... had the entire housed tarped by 7 AM... the entire roof replaced by early-afternoon... and the entire site cleaned-up by about 2:30 PM. We did not find any nails or roofing materials in the yard after they left. Mike, the site supervisor, kept us informed throughout the day and did a walk-around with us after the work was completed to review the work.

I was thoroughly impressed with how easy Artisan Roofing made a major renovation project and highly recommend them for anyone needing their roof replaced.

I can’t say enough good things about AQR. From the owner Abel to the office staff Olivia and Hollye to every single worker, this company is one of the best I’ve ever worked with. They are extraordinarily responsive, transparent, considerate, fast, and do incredibly good work. From our first call to them years ago for a leak in our old roof (NOT AQR’s work) to repairs and skylight replacements, to the eventual (inevitable) replacement of our old, leaking, double-shingled roof (including 1/3 of our sheathing and installation of some AMAZING sun tunnels!), this company has been absolutely wonderful to work with. Artisan Roofing was great from start to finish. Dustin was my rep and was fantastic. He took time to explain their process, answer any questions and relay any important information during the install. They were able to complete the roof in one day despite some additional carpentry repairs that were needed. Roof looks great! We love the charcoal black color.

We are so glad we choose Artisan to replace our shingles. We got bids from other companies and all were competitive, but we felt better about the interactions we had with Artisan staff. They helped us choose a good replacement color, which turned out great. The crew showed up very early to do the work and wow did they get it done. Cant believe how fast and efficient they were. I was so impressed with the efforts they made to move things, protect things, all the tarps they put out to make sure the yard stayed clean, it was so comprehensive. And after they finished and cleaned up, You just couldn’t tell they were here.
The roof looks great. They did a great job protecting my gutters and gutter covers. They replaced a lot of flashing and that work looks good.
We had one unexpected problem with out screened porch. Their guys looked it over and offered a couple of excellent strategies to repair the issue. We talked it over, choose a plan, and they executed. After they finished it looks great, not sure I could have done better myself.

My roof was nearing its lifespan and I wanted to replace it with Cool Roof technology shingles to increase sunlight reflection and reduce the heat absorption. I chose CertainTeed because it was the only manufacturer to sell Cool Roof shingles here in Raleigh, NC and also because it manufactures shingles in Oxford, NC. I was referred to Artisan by a local building supply company sales rep, who had a glowing opinion of them.

I selected Artisan for the job because they were a local company certified with CertainTeed and were able to direct me to an actual example of what the installed shingles would look like. I was impressed by how quickly I was issued a quote at a fair price with an attractive pricing and payment structure. I was also impressed by the meticulous attention to details noticed by their sales rep who visited to issue and explain the quote.

The Artisan team was uniformly friendly, knowledgeable, professional and well-organized. My 4000 ft2 roof was replaced in one day on the date it was scheduled for, with beautiful attention to detail.

A few years ago after a terrible storm caused damage in our area, we were found ourselves in need of a new roof. Most of our neighbors chose the out-of-town companies who were going door to door but we were looking for someone local with a good reputation. Our church in New Hill had recently received a new roof and our trustees raved about the excellent service provided by Artisan. So I gave them a call and Abel came out to my home and thoroughly explained every single detail in a manner that I could understand. I am not a person who is easily impressed but I was thoroughly impressed with possibly using Artisan for this job. Even though Garner was outside of their usual territory, they were willing to do this for us after working with our church and one of our deacons who also received a new roof on his home, both from Artisan. We were 150% pleased with the work done by Artisan and would never hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family. Job well done and we are very happy with our new roof!

We had a great experience with Artisan a few years ago when they replaced our roof. They were competitively priced, their work was excellent, and their communication throughout the process was fantastic. I've recommended them to friends and colleagues and would use them again.

Several of my neighbors used Artisan. While Artisan was doing their installations I went over to inspect the quality of their work. (I am a retired Professional Engineer.) I was extremely impressed by what I saw. So, when it was time for my roof to be replaced I did not hesitate to give them the contract. Well, they did an outstanding job and kept me in the loop on any/all issues they found that might need attention. They arrived early and completed the job in one day leaving the area clean as a whistle.

A fantastic company! They replaced our roof on our 3400 square foot, two-story home in 2024 and worked closely with our insurance company so that we only paid our deductible. Very professional, customer friendly, and their crew did the entire job in one day. We recommend them highly!

Exceeded expectations on a roof replacement in January 2020. A neighbor had selected them so they were at the top of my list. Very fast, thorough, and excellent job of removing shingle and nail debris.
When a storm blew some flashing loose 5 years later they came and repaired it under warranty.

Artisan replaced my roof in 2025 and I could not have asked for a better experience. Of all the contractors that inspected my roof, Artisan was the only one that provided an estimate after inspection; I had to ask other contractors multiple times for an estimate. Artisan's office staff were responsive and answered all my questions. The actual roof installation went off without a hitch and they even finished early. The new roof looks great and I'm so glad I decided to hire Artisan Quality Roofing.

This is a great company to work with for all your roof work needs. They replaced my roof shingles and two skylights, and they also replaced my neighbors roof shingles. Very easy to work with, very reliable, great work at a great cost!

Replaced my roof over the summer, primarily worked with Dustin (Sales) and Oliva (office). Extremely pleased! I had family visiting, and they were flexible to schedule, patiently supported as I chose the color. They have their own crew (not sub-contracted), and they did a through job.

Excellent experience with Artisan Quality Roofing! Finished product is better than what I imagined. They kept in regular contact regarding scheduling, stayed on budget, and were very friendly. They worked 12 hours and got the project done in one day. In total, I counted a crew of 17 on site working hard. Clean up was spotless.

Based on reviews, and the fact they were a small local roofer, I chose Artisan. They replaced the roofing shingles and about 9 sheathing boards in June of 2023. It's a fairly large roof with a few different elevations but no crazy peaks. Finding a good roofer is equivalent to finding a good mechanic.
They did exactly what they said they would, came on schedule, and finished in 1 day. I have nothing negative to say about the experience. Pricing was in the same ballpark as other quotes. No issues 1.5 years in. From my experience I would definitely recommend them.

I was torn between 2 or 3 stars for this, as some things were done well and some not so much.

Good:
- With the estimate, Dustin was quick to come out and get the estimate complete. He was normally very quick to respond to any questions
- The install crew was friendly, on time, and seemed to be working hard throughout the day. The roof itself looks good. Haven't seen the functionality yet since it was yet to rain though. But it seems like they did a good job with the actual install

Bad:
-The office staff. The communication was awful. We were initially scheduled for a 11/20 install. On 11/19, I received a call from Hollye advising the install would be cancelled due to rain. (Completely understandable). After our project was cancelled , I have no idea why, but it seemed like we were a problem to them. On four different occasions over the next few weeks, I was told I would get a call to get us rescheduled, however the calls never came. When I would call to get any updates, I was greeted with a, "Oh, we've been talking about your project on a daily basis". Which was weird to me because I heard nothing. Eventually I received a text message telling me the install was set for 12/18. However at around 4 pm on 12/16, I got a call from Dustin directly advising they would do the install the next day instead due to possible rain. Not sure why Dustin reached out instead of the office? It just seemed like they were annoyed with the fact that we needed rescheduled.

- They had a crew of 16 people working on the house, which I'm guessing was to get the job done quickly. While we appreciated the speed of the install, it did possibly have its issues. When we initially got our estimate, it did state that damaged sheathing boards would be replaced at $75/board. In the morning, I had an email stating that they replaced 26 boards. However the invoice later stated they replaced 34 boards. Obviously I wasn't up there, so that part is what it is. However from some of the photos I was sent, to me it seemed like the installers were responsible for taking chunks out of several of the boards while removing the old shingles. This is just my opinion and maybe it does happen. But our final cost was 20-25% over the estimate price. The install was supposed to take the entire day, but they were gone by 2 pm. Maybe more careful removal could have saved some boards? For most people who are having insurance pay for the replacement, this wouldn't be an issue since they would be the ones paying out. But for us being out of pocket, this was a big deal. When Dustin did the estimate initially, I did ask him how many boards usually need replaced. He advised that with a roof as steep as ours, it's usually not many. Kind of felt led astray there.

- After the install, everyone completely disappeared. I was working from home and had no idea everyone had left. Nobody ever came to find me to do a final walkthrough or anything (Not even sure if there was a project manager on site). After they left, we found trash still laying around and even some of our Christmas light strands cut that weren't even anywhere near the house. We also have an unfinished section of our attic that houses our HVAC. I went into that room and found about 30-40 nails laying on the ground. (Some should be expected, but that seemed excessive.

With all of that said, the final reason I gave them 2 stars was because not a single person from their company ever contacted us to ask how the job went, were we satisfied, etc. From the moment our first install was cancelled, we felt like we were a problem for them. After the install was complete, I got a call from Holly which she hung up instantly. I called her back and she advised she didn't mean to call me, because my invoice wasn't done (Didn't ask how the project went). Install done at 2, invoice emailed at 4, never heard from anyone again. I even waited to see if anyone would do a follow up call next day (as I saw in several other reviews). But we got nothing. For the price of the project, that just seemed sad to us.

I had a great experience with Artisan Quality Roofing doing a full replacement on my 30 year old roof. They came enthusiastically recommended to me by multiple neighbors.

It was a breeze selecting shingles and scheduling the work with Hollye and Olivia, who kept in contact with me before, during, and after the job. Great communication.

The whole installation took a single day to complete -- the Artisan team was prompt and professional, left the property immaculate, and the roof looks great. No surprises on my final invoice, which was completely in line with the estimate.

I’ll write this in episode form: The Artisan promptly set up an inspection and estimate for a new roof. They were upfront about concerns with some areas that would need extra work. They noted my wife's concern with planting and yard plantings. They are taking photos of the roof and yard.
They arrived on time and made every effort to maintain and protect my wife's areas of concern and maintain a controlled construction work site.
Presently, they are at the halfway point of the job, and every worker on site has reflected the same attitude as the management and office staff.
These are skilled roofers. You might consider them laborers; I assure you they are professional roofers.
So remember, Artison goes from product to installation and has a single goal: to meet the customers' needs with good products and services.
As a retired senior engineering inspector, I chose them for this reason. Remember, you get what you pay for.

After damage to our roof from the spring time storms here near Southpoint in Durham NC, and a badly damaged and leaking older roof, leaking and pouring water into the house, with an old original 1962 plywood still in-place we badly needed a complete tear-off full-roof replacement. After shopping around and getting quotes, most being completely ridiculous, I was referred by a friend in Chapel Hill to Artisan Quality Roofing as they had done his roof, also on recommendation from his other friend.

Well, THAT... was a fantastic recommendation!
From the first call to Artisan and "Hello..." I knew this was going to be different, this was going to be good... REALLY good!

The process to initiate the estimate was very engaging (Dustin was friendly, thorough, engaging and fantastic), fast with no delays, the quote was competitive and comprehensive, and no extra's and no gotcha's. The ease of choosing the materials and style was great, and enjoyable actually, and beginning of the scheduling process was very accommodating. They kept in-touch with us and updated us throughout the whole time-frame!

Payment-wise, pre-paying was our processes of choice, and it couldn't have been easier - the Artisan team offered several options. Prior to starting the job, we had paid for most of the work up-front - always helpful - where with the final completion of the job and the balance we made arrangements with ease, a very flexible team!

Ok... the work..
Here's where things go from AWESOME... to MIND-BLOWING!!
We were told to be prepared, as the installation team would show up around 05:00 am, and be done the same day... np's...
In fact, they showed up at 05:30-ish with several trucks and a ton of workers, who wasted not a minute... and within 10 minutes of arrival, they were on the roof.. beginning the shingle removal process, while another team spread tarps all around the house and property to protect and minimize mess! Just fabulous!!

And then... by 08:30 the roof was not only completely removed but they had begun the replacement of the plywood and repairing some of the rafters that needed support-repair... by 10:00 am all of the wood replacement was done and they had begun the membrane-water seal install and perimeter metal trim and shingling... including a point where they found that the interior bathroom vent-pipe had previously been improperly routed into the inside of the roof and the team quickly corrected that by redirecting the piping to the roof and added a small filtered exterior roof vent - and by 11:30 am - they were done!!

Half the crew was gone shortly after completion, and the remaining cleaned up the property, with SUPER great attention to detail... and VOILA~!! Job done!!!

Now, the quality of the workmanship is outstanding... I can't say enough about that! I was up on the roof throughout the process (I'm an Engineer - I love this stuff!). It was a pleasure to watch the installation team work, and they were not only fast and efficient, but really jovial, and enjoyable to have working on our house - what a great team!

The attention to detail for the house and for the look of the installation was obvious from watching them work. The end-result was an even better look to the roof than what I had planned and expected! The Artisan team are not simply highly skilled, but craftsman with a sense of pride in what they are doing!

From start to finish, every step with Artisan was-is friendly, enjoyable, easy, and accommodating. This is a whole different kind of company... I didn't think these kind of people still existed, but WOW am I glad they do!

So, in conclusion, do yourself a favor, skip the hassle of the other companies, if you need roof-work, just call Artisan... you'll be REALLY happy you did!

After having over twenty roof salesmen stop by unsolicited at my house over the last few years, I decided it was time for a new roof. One of those salemen was steering me to go through insurance though I made it clear I wasn't going to. He went online, viewed my roof on the internet, and gave me a non-detailed bid without ever going on the roof.
Dealing with Artisan was completely different. Dustin went on the roof and then we discussed at length the entire project. The bid was very detailed and came in a few thousand dollars cheaper. The roof looks great and the cleanup was excellent.

Artisan Quality Roofing is perfect and it was nice working with them. Worked with Dustin from day 1, he came to do the review of the roof and provided good suggestions and then he was available all the time when I bug him with my texting with my questions. Followed up all the time making sure we are good with everything. He came on the last day and made sure all the work was taken care.
The crew was awesome and came on the time as per schedule in early morning. The materials were dropped as per schedule. The crew did the awesome job and finished on time.
Amy and Olivia was amazing coordinating with me for schedule and other paperwork and answered my questions with my doubts. Highly recommended. Thank you Artisan and everyone in the team for the great service.

I don't want this this to affect Artisan's score as a roofing company (they were great) but if you are getting gutters as well (as I did) I wouldn't necessarily recommend using their sister company Quality Seamless Gutters (I don't know the exact connection but they both use Artisan's email addresses). The job they did was good (there was one place I needed them to come back and correct and they did), but they weren't good at communication. Unlike Artisan roofing (who showed up on time and with good communication) the gutter group routinely didn't show up and would reschedule with no communication. It took 1 reschedule to get the initial work and 3 reschedules for the fix and every time I had to contact them as find out why they didn't show up.

Artisan Quality Roofing are truly professional at what they do. Dustin was transparent with me from day one regarding the roofing system I would receive, Amy and Olivia were great at answering any lingering questions and financial logistics for me, and the roofing crew was efficient and thorough. Everything that Dustin told me was going to happen, happened and exceeded my expectations. From the stair cased flashing, weaved valleys, premium drip guards, scheduled time frame, and more. Throughout the process, photos were sent to me and communication was clear. We encountered one hiccup that was handled professionally within moments. No debris was left behind when the crew left, only leaving behind a clean, new roof. We could not be happier to have a new roof over our heads and recommend this pristine company to anyone who needs a QUALITY roofing system with a competitive price. Top quality experience from start to finish! In the day of unreliable vendors and unreturned calls, Artisan Quality Roofing stands out as the glowing exception! They’ve given me faith that stellar customer service is still alive!

From the very start, they were punctual in communications, helped me with my HOA requirements, and communicated dates so I could plan accordingly.

The day before the roof was to be replaced they guided me through prep and let me know what to expect. On the day of service, 18 workers set to work exactly at the start time. By the afternoon, I had a beautiful new roof and there was zero evidence that there had been a major demolition of my old and damaged roof - not even a broken twig on my trees and bushes! Once the work was done, I was given a detailed follow up of the work done.

Just a side note, years before my roof replacement, Artisan Quality Roofing earned my business by coming out to my house and fixing the leaks another roofing company had left.

This company was fantastic! Great communication from start to finish, the office staff was wonderful, they sent 2 crews that came at 6:30 am, worked till 1:00pm took a short break and finished the job. The workers were amazing, ALL of them are cleaning up the site. We cannot say enough good about this company. I contacted Artisan Quality Roofing after several of my friends recommended them to me. I had a bad windstorm come through the second week of January and damaged my roof. From the moment I contacted them I had someone at my house the next day to inspect my roof. Dustin, was super helpful and explained everything to me. He was very responsive to all my questions/concerns.

The day the team arrived to replace my roof, they were right on time. The crew was very professional and the work got done super fast, less than four hours. The cleanup afterwards was great. After the crew left I walked my yard and driveway several times looking for nails and I didn’t find a single one. I also liked that the company sends you pictures of before and after.

Very professional, efficient, well organized team who completed my entire roof (main/guest house) in one and a half days. Artisan has been working with me and my roof for a few years now and I have nothing but great things to say about them. They first came to give my at the time 18 year old roof a tune up, and let me know that it should get me through a couple more years until a full replacement may be needed. Almost two years to the day later, my roof started leaking a bit, so Dustin came out and did and incredible job walking me through my repair or replacement options, never pressuring me to go for a full replacement. We decided to replace, and had a new roof over our heads a couple of weeks later. Amy and Flo from the front office were great at communicating with me throughout the process and answering my questions along the way. On replacement day, the crew made quick work of getting the new roof up and did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. We had some minor drywall damage from the replacement, and Jose coordinated a painting crew to come out and fix it up, who also did an incredible job completely covering up the spot and repainting that section of the wall. I'll be recommending Artisan to all of my family and friends!

Very professional company. It took about 1 year for the insurance company to settle and Artisan was with me the whole way. Dustin was outstanding updating me regularly. Artisan was very impressive from the start. They worked with me and my insurance company following a storm to ensure all damage was identified and corrected. The crew was amazing during the install. Very little talk along with a lot of knowledge and coordination drew my neighbors out asking who they were for future reference. My roof was in bad shape (“bad shape” is an understatement) with several of the decking boards needing to be replaced from years and years of previous neglect. Artisan was very straightforward and upfront about this; we reviewed the boards in detail during the quotation process and the team kept me in the loop the entire time about the replacement needs so there were no surprises at the end as the work was ongoing. The entire experience was effortless with clear explanation at every step. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail was second to none! The team that came out took great care of my yard, landscape lighting, and other obstacles during the process and left the area pristine upon leaving. This team was fantastic. We had our roof replaced a few weeks ago and couldn’t have been more impressed. Honest inspection and straightforward quote, responsive office, and a very efficient replacement on installation day. They even caught an area that had a risk to collect water and were able to rework a part of the roof’s structure to remove that risk. Would absolutely recommend.
