Salt Pond Builders: Rhode Island Home Building & Remodeling

We recently completed a big renovation and expansion at our house, and we couldn't be happier with Salt Pond Builders. They provided top-notch customer service and construction from start to finish. They were always responsive and paid close attention to details, keeping us informed every step of the way. The project was completed right on schedule as promised. Bill and Steven's expertise guided us to make smart decisions that fit both our budget and design goals. We would gladly choose them again for any future building projects!

After meeting with a number of contractors in Rhode Island over the past two years, working with Salt Pond Builders has been a refreshing change of pace. I knew from the beginning this project would be different because Bill demonstrably cares about his business and his clients. After quoting my project, I asked if I could take the night to review and discuss with my spouse, and without hesitation Bill said that was fine and we should review the details to make sure everything was correct and that we were comfortable with our choice to hire Salt Pond Builders.. The crew was efficient and respectful of our home, and the end result is better than I imagined. I can’t stop smiling when I see the differences in our new home.

Salt Pond Builders did a fantastic job for us on the addition to our house. They also provided excellent sub-contractors for things such as painting, plumbing work, patio installation, electrical work. Because Bill Dickey is also an architect, he was also able to provide excellent advice and suggested things we had not thought about which made the project even better!! Although COVID forced a few delays because of supply chain issues, Salt Pond did an excellent job of communicating with us about any delays, and they worked dillingently to circumvent these issues. The result is a beautiful addition to our home that we are thrilled about. We could not be happier with their work, and we recommend them without hesitation!

Bill and Steve were great to work with. They were knowledgeable, responsive to our questions and needs. We are very happy with the workmanship. A few issues popped up when we moved in and they were quick to comeback and resolve those issues (a drippy hot water heater, and a problem with our dishwasher). Finally, Bill worked well with the town engineers and Steve is a hard working craftsman.

Salt Pond Builders renovated our master bath and finished about 1600 sf of our basement including an additional bedroom, bunk room, bathroom, office and multifunction craft and workout room.

Throughout the process, Bill and Steve routinely offered design suggestions, regularly communicated on the work planned and were highly responsive to addressing our design details, some of which were beyond the original scope of work. The pricing was fair and they never were looking to take advantage of some changes we made along the way.
I have recommended this firm to my neighbors who are considering similar home improvement projects.
