They paid meticulous attention to detail, communicated often and clearly with us, and the quality of their work was superior. When a structural issue was noticed in another part of the house, they mobilized their team and addressed the problem quickly and effectively. I had a very positive experience with Steven MacLeay and Sacred Oak Homes when they did a renovation of my home that included a large deck addition, screened porch, and renovation of an interior room that included plumbing and complete gutting and replacing walls, ceiling, and floor. The Construction Supervisor Michael Brex was extremely professional, talented, responsive to questions, and meticulous in the work. The estimator and Project Manager Don Voudren were also excellent to work with. It took awhile for me to settle on a design and Sacred Oak stuck with me through the design and estimating process to get to a project that was within my budget. The estimating and billing are transparent and I could clearly see the exact cost of materials and labor. I had a problem with the interior painting and when I complained, Don and Michael were very responsive and the problem was fixed in a timely and professional manner which I really appreciated. Their work is very high quality and I recommend Sacred Oak Homes to prospective clients without any reservation.

I feel incredibly lucky to have found Steven and Sacred Oak Homes. Steven is more than a builder - he is an artist and offers creative suggestions that enhance the client's vision of the project while remaining solidly within the confines of what is possible. His entire crew - everyone I had contact with, were exemplary - personable, friendly, pleasant to deal with, respectful of our property. They always left things neat, clean and maximally livable at the end of each day, and their work was professional and meticulous. Steven was always quickly responsive whenever I contacted him with any question or problem. Dealings with money were completely transparent, with a detailed statement listing costs of materials, labor, and Steven's (quite reasonable) mark-up; for the quality of work and materials, I felt it was all very fairly priced.

An emergency arose in our basement the day of my very first consultation with Steven, and he sent his crew over the next day to take care of it, even before we had agreed on a contract for services. We had our work done during the pandemic, and though there were some inevitable delays in getting materials, we never felt our project was "put on hold" in favor of a larger or newer one. Everything was carried out with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
