Absolutely the best service anyone could ask for! The amount of detail given to redo my basement and the personal touches to every corner has far exceeded my expectations! This contractor doesn’t just come and fix or redo a certain space but they create comfort and efficiency to the space! In September of 2021 I bought an apartment in Manhattan. At first look it was great, a prewar building, high floor, great views, beautiful molding and a giant original bathtub. Upon closer inspection though, not so good…layers and layers of old paint making the door frames all bumpy and the walls look like they were crumbling. The bathtub was peeling and the fixtures were of such poor quality and badly installed making the bathroom grim and depressing.

James Anh was recommended by my very picky mother. He had done some work on her Brooklyn brownstone and she was thrilled.

Fast forward to 3 months after James and his crew came in and got to work…I have beautiful walls and clean sharp edges and door frames. Everyone who walks in here asks about the paint job, it’s that nice. I have spectacular light wood floors (all James’s vision, he said do it and do it now and he was right!). I have a huge, deep, sparkling white bathtub and bath fixtures that work as well as they look! Most importantly I have peace, peace that the work was done so well by someone who cared that it was done right, not for now but for always. Peace that if I need something in the future, and I will, I know just who to call. And peace that I can refer Rush Hour Construction to my friends and family and know they will be getting a first rate job that they will be happy with for years to come.

James and his men are very professional. They are well planned and get the work done on time. I own a wine shop in Williamsburg and he he has finished a few jobs for me.

I cannot recommend James Ahn and his team highly enough.

He is hardworking, honest and very responsive. When problems arose (which were no fault of James) he never lost his cool and would come up with multiple solutions for me to choose from. His thoughtful and diligent work ethic were reflected in every member of his team.
