I am the caretaker of an apartment complex, Century Ridge Apartments. They came to power wash our parking garage recently. They left our whole garage filled with piles of sand & debre along all the edges and corners! Not only that but each of the 3 entrance doors to our building, had tons of sand & water pushed under the doors into the bottom of the stairwell entrances, just like they did last year! I told my company not to use this company again but all they care about is saving money so I'm assuming this is the cheapest place they can find! They left the whole garage worse than it was before they started! I'm not even kidding! I had just swept and mopped my parking spot thoroughly before they came, I didn't have a spec of dirt in my parking spot (the one with the bricks in the corner) , and after they were done, there was some random dirty ball by the wall, leaves, and tons of sand along the edges!!!! The photo of the dust pan with the sand in it, is the amount of dirt and sand I swept out of my parking spot after they were done!! I spent hours sweeping and mopping my spot only to have to do it all over again after they were done! Along with tons of other areas in the garage I had to sweep after they were done! This is ridiculous!! This is unacceptable!!! Not only that but nothing looks any cleaner anyway! And now I had hours and hours of work added to my work load cleaning up after these incompetent, worthless, amateurs! My husband actually used to work for this company when we started dating about 6 years ago, after he had gotten out of prison. It's one of the only companies that prisoners can get a job at easily! I asked him if it should look like this after they are done, if that's normal. He said "No way it should look like this! Not at all!!" I can't believe this is the quality of work they get away with and are still in business!!
When we moved into our new house, we had Roof To Deck restore our deck, which according to the previous homeowner, had not been touched in 8-9yrs. The wood was neglected, very dirty, grayed, and weathered so we were not too optimistic it could still be restored. This was our first big home improvement project and we were not sure what to expect. So glad we went ahead with the project! The transformation was unbelievable. Very pleased with the results, and we plan to continue having Roof To Deck Restoration do routine maintenance every couple years or as needed so that it stays beautiful going forward.
I was originally excited for Roof To Deck to come out and stay in our deck. I chose convenience over cost. This was supposed to be a splurge. It turned into a headache.
In hindsight, after reviewing the long drawn out process, the low quality of work, skill of service providers, clean up hours, that I have to now still invest as well as completely redoing the job I would have skipped hiring them.
I was expecting a higher level of application and more than one coat. Once you sign up for services, you will receive a PDF that says they do a one code application that is sufficient and includes the stain and seal. When going to our local home store to purchase staying to redo the job, I was told that this is not necessarily the case it is dependent on the dryness and condition of the wood. As you can see from the pictures this was not true in our case when I contacted them that there was several missed areas and it was uneven they said that they would come out as they had an application process that would even everything out. This was done over a week later.
My one worry is after this was applied the water/rain no longer beaded up on the surface after it rained.
The application of the stain was so ridiculously uneven and applied with so little care that it is all over our trim drain pipes that it does qualify for a professional application. There was no sanding of the deck like what they picture in their website and on this Google post for advertisement they also did not use a large pad to distribute stain for the floorboards. What was used for the entire deck was the small pad that the young man is using in the video. By the time he was done, most of it had been shred it off when I went out to speak with him. His comment to me was I’m doing the best I can with the tools that they give me.
I did not feel it necessary to call back a third time at this point I simply wanted to leave my review and correct the issue myself.
