Our most recent project was renovating a bathroom and several sections of ceiling after a water leak. This was executed beautifully and ahead of schedule. This project involved work on multiple levels and apart for careful tarping it would be hard to know the house was an active worksite. Their cleanup each day was meticulous and quick. If you are able to make your own design choices this contractor will execute it well.

It started with a phone call on Sunday evening on which Octavio Romero answered! My husband and I were looking for a good contractor for our project for over a year and a half when we finally met Octavio. He came the next day to look at our house and we knew he was our guy. Octavio made suggestions to our plans that were a game changer on day one. We used Romero Remodeling for a complete renovation and rebuild of our 1920s old Pittsburgh house and they transformed the house into a beautiful modern home for our family. We couldn’t be happier. The project was huge (for me) and overwhelming but Octavio and his crew from Romero Remodeling helped every step of the way by answering every call or text, meeting in person anytime I needed them (which was frequently), and helping make decisions with product, layout, design, etc. Romero Remodeling did the demolition of our house, the framing, the steel beam installation, foundation, new walls, new flooring, new ceilings, new drywall, new electrical throughout the whole house, new HVAC unit and ductwork, new whole house plumbing, new kitchen and bathroom installation, incredible tile work, custom closets in each room, built brand new staircase, new deck, new fence, new retaining wall, new pavers, custome built metal gate for our deck, concrete work, installed all new doors and windows and so much more. Romero can do it all! I know in my heart our house would not have turned out as nice as it did if we didn’t use Romero. No one in Pittsburgh is working as hard as these guys!!! Octavio and Romero Remodeling Co did a fantastic job on our recent project. They are responsive and get to work on schedule. I'd say the quality of the rough and finish carpentry, tile work, drywall and painting all exceeded expectations. When they say that they are going to do something, they do it and they do it ASAP. My guess is that they can handle projects of almost and size/scope. There weren't any challenges that they weren't up to. Some things that I thought would be a larger concern they handled without problem. Will definitely use Romero again!

We hired Romero Remodeling for a complete update of our 1950s bathroom. The job was difficult as it require removal of a cement floor along with the tub, toilet sink and all walls. The team took extra steps to seal off the construction area to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the rest of our home. The plumbing, carpentry and tiling was all first class workmanship. Timo and Octavio the two most professional and friendly contractors we have ever worked with. We highly recommend Romero Remodeling and will use them again for our downstairs bathroom.

Romero Remodeling Company means concrete work too. And not just the simple stuff. They added a two car driveway to my very steep side lot, which meant footers, concrete reinforced cinder block walls, and a 6” thick concrete pad. They finished off by landscaping my back yard to make it more usable for my family. Great work and now we have a place for our cars to park every night!

This is our second project with Romero Remodeling and we are very pleased with their services. Our basement had water issues and they took the opportunity to elevate our backyard since they were already water-proofing our house. They built a concrete sidewalk, installed new gutters, remodeled a shower, and put in a new fence. The Romero team was excellent! We just moved into a new home and were looking to add an outdoor flagstone patio and renovate our living room with French doors, some built-in cabinets, and an updated fireplace. They were very quick to provide a reasonable quote and were willing to start immediately. They took a lot of care protecting our existing space and cleaning up after themselves every night, which was important with our two little ones running around. The team was here Monday-Saturday from 8am-7pm, which is why they’re able to get everything done so quickly without sacrificing quality. In all the 40 years we have lived in our house and have had work done, NONE CAN COMPARE to Romero. Every member of their staff was so efficient, highly skilled, and extremely pleasant; so eager to please, happy to do their jobs, even singing while they worked – what a concept! The workers were on time and even early every day, six days a week, they never disappointed.
The project started as an expansion of a small closet into a walk-in style, but we eventually had two rooms completely remodeled; ceilings torn down in both rooms; 100 years of vintage debris everywhere, but every day the debris was cleaned up to start fresh the next day; every doorway covered and masked off; floors and stairways protected with heavy kraft paper and thoroughly changed every couple of days. They were constantly cleaning up as the work progressed. As people very keen on attention to detail, they surpassed our expectations.
We cannot stress the excellent workmanship at every level – from very particular and tidy painters to outstanding and creative carpentry work (Bryon) to unbelievable electrical work (master electrician Mario, who is like Superman; he can conquer anything). We never thought we would find this caliber of remodeling in today's world of "fly-by-night contractors" who take your money and never show up; we have more than our share of those. Octavio is a rare gem in Pittsburgh. He remodeled our entire kitchen in 2 months (less technically, but you can't get cabinets any faster than this and this was an achievement by his team to get them that fast!) with about 2 weeks notice, allowing us to buy a house and move in as construction was completed! He worked with me from afar, was fast, responsive and super nice to work with. He also works with a designer at Inspirational Designs who does a great job. He ended up completing much more than he originally agreed to as we discovered more quirks about the house, including thickening a wall to rotate vents to cut a doorway. With most contractors (and I've worked with 3), each of these would've been a major ordeal, but Octavio and his team just got it done. They did what they needed to do, driving me for a stove pickup when the appliance company failed us or fixing an air conditioner pump that had nothing to do with the kitchen. The work quality is very high (again, I have experience with this not going so well from other places). His pricing was definitely fair, if not better than market for some jobs. His team can and will do anything, quickly and efficiently.

My 1930 bathroom needed a total remodel and I hired Romero Remodeling to do the work. His crew was very hard working and put in long days. Each day they cleaned the area and put down protective materials multiple times. While the remodel was taking place, I needed to call/text Octavio, the company owner, regarding various aspects of the project. I always received a prompt response from either Octavio or his brother, Timo.

The completed remodel looks and functions quite well. A shout out to the tile installer and to the electrician for the fantastic work they did. One final note, post remodel there was one little problem and Octavio had it scheduled to be resolved in record time. I was really happy to see his commitment to assuring that I was a satisfied customer.

Romero recently completed a renovation of the main bathroom in our 115 year old home. There were no hidden costs. Any problems that were uncovered were solved without issue. We had to move a wall, reroute plumbing and deal with old wiring - their tradesmen had no problems with these issues. Their crew was professional, respectful of our home and very hard working. The project was the replacement of termite rotted exterior base plate with repair of six studs. The house was an old balloon frame 3 story with intact exterior brick veneer. After the base plate was removed and replaced, the crew repaired the rotted studs with sister studs from the inside of the house which saved our brick veneer. The crew shows up on time and cleans up after each day. The exterior looks great!

If you're like me, you've heard countless stories of contractors in and around the city disappearing on jobs, ghosting clients, leaving a mess that another contractor doesn't want to clean up. Romero Remodeling works from 8am-7pm, 6 days a week, until the project is done, and Octavio answers every text or call, usually within 15 minutes. This alone is worth 5 stars. In addition, the work is high quality and Octavio and his guys are super nice and respectful of their clients and their clients' property.

You might be able to find cheaper quotes, but you probably won't find faster or more reliable work. Any concerns you might have about the work, Octavio will work to make it right. This is a quality company.

Our original bathroom, over 110 years old, was completely gutted and remodeled by Romero Remodeling Co. They took our design ideas and translated them into a gorgeous and highly functioning space. Their workers were extremely polite, professional, and cleaned up daily. Romero Remodeling is extremely hard working and dedicated to getting the job done right and in an efficient timeline. The owner of the business was extremely responsive to all of our questions and always took the time to listen to our needs. They took down a wall to expand the bathroom, removed an original cast-iron tub, rearranged plumbing, lighting, and sewage. They also carefully reinforced our antique stained glass window, removing one section, re-stuccoing our outside wall and matching the original framing of the outside of our house. We now have a gorgeous stained glass window as a centerpiece in our huge shower. They were able to create an updated look while maintaining the traditional style of our home. Their attention to detail is commendable and dedication to making everything perfectly to our standards was greatly appreciated. We highly recommend Romero Remodeling for any remodeling projects and were extremely satisfied with their workmanship and care in our old home.

i) Owner surveyed the problem and drew up a contract on a Saturday.

ii) Workers showed up, as agreed upon, at 8am on Monday, and worked 8am-7pm for 8+ days in a row (skipping only Sunday) to bring the project to a successful conclusion.

iii) There was a team of 2-4 workmen in the house during work hours. Everybody worked hard and with a sense of purpose: to finish the job successfully as soon as possible. All were very skilled. Between them, they could handle demolition, plumbing, electrical wiring, drywall installation and painting.

iv) They removed all the furniture from the rooms where they needed to work and stored it on the porch or in the basement. They put plastic sheets on the floor and walls to protect these during the repair project. After the repairs were done, they put back the furniture and cleaned up the site, so that the rooms in question were “good as new” (actually, better than new) after they left.

v) The basic problem involved water leaks from two showers on the 2nd floor. Since both the plumbing and the house are old, determining and fixing the leaks was challenging. It required skill and resourcefulness. The team found a successful, workable, and cost-effective solution.

vi) The boss and all members of his team were respectful and easy to interact with. They answered all my questions and listened carefully to my concerns.

vii) The price of the project was reasonable, given the large amount of work it entailed, and the quality of the work that was done.

If you have a home repair/remodel project that is too big or too complicated to do by yourself, I recommend that you contact Romero Remodeling. They are a self-contained construction company with an impressive range of skills and a great work ethic. They will do a good job at a fast pace and a fair price.

Highly recommend. Within 2 weeks of the first call, the crew was working. I had a new roof, gutters, and a complete renovation of the facade completed in 5 weeks. During the project, there was a pipe burst in the house. I called Octavio and the next day, the drywaller was replacing the damaged ceiling. Amazing service. Our neighbor confirmed his satisfaction with the project and we reached out to Octavio for our personal home remodeling project in 2021 which consisted of- a complete bathroom remodeling, hard-wood floor installation in multiple rooms and expanded to include exterior brick-pointing, painting and iron gate repair. Someone came to our home every day and the crews worked for 12 hours each day.
Needless to say, the interior work was completed on-time and absolutely to our satisfaction. Whenever, we had a question about any of the work- Octavio always repsonded- “we will take care of it”… and he always did.
I can not say enough positive things as I have had very poor experiences over the years and this was one of the best contractors that we have used. I will definitely use them again for future projects. Octavio has the crews to do any type of construction project and his work has expanded across the Point Breeze and Squirrel Hill neighborhoods.
