My experience with Romco Roofing began when I called to get an estimate. During this initial phone call, Chris gave me an estimate based on the size of my house. I needed this information to decide if a new roof would fit in my budget. After deciding on Romco Roofing, Chris came to the house to do a visual inspection and give me a more accurate cost for either repairing or replacing the roof. I chose to get a new roof.
Chris and his crew proved to be excellent examples of constant communication, professionalism, and craftmanship from the first phone call to the final clean up. I am very satisfied with the look and cost of my new roof.

Working with Chris has been one of the best decisions I made. Part of my roof is flat and required a rolled roofing but because it was originally installed incorrectly with shingles, my insurance company wrote the quote with shingles leaving me with thousands to pay out of pocket. Chris worked with my insurance to get the correct roofing so I would have to pay a lot less out of pocket. He took the stress out of the process and made things so easy. I cannot express enough how happy I ended up being with the process and new roof.

I used RomCo Roofing for the roof replacement at my home in 2017 (ceramic tile roof). Chris and his team did a great job. They completed the job sooner than they estimated it would take and cheapest bid I found (I solicited 5 other bids). I've since referred them to many family members and friends. At least 3 of them went with RomCo and had a similarly positive experience. During a recent home search, Chris inspected a roof for me identifying several key issues that I was able to use during inspection negotiations. The contract on the new home fell through, otherwise I would have hired RomCo to actually replace the roof. RomCo is very honest and does great work.

Roof was replaced quickly and cleanly. The crew was pleasant to have around our home. The finished job looks great. They cleaned up the work area quite well when they were finished.

I had a leak in my roof which was well diagnosed by Romco. They explained the problem well, and gave me multiple options to go about fixing it. They were very prompt in getting the work done, and they kept the worksite clean. The quality of work was great! If I ever have anymore problems I will definitely call them again.

Merwyn came over after a huge storm. Very informative and honest about what he saw and what actually needed to be done. They fought hard with the insurance company for a full roof replacement as well as patching parts of our foam roof. It was a very long and difficult time with the insurance company but without Merwyn and team it would have certainly been longer and I certainly wouldn’t have gotten what we did from insurance. 10/10 would work with them again and recommend them.

Had Romco Roofing replace underlayment of my 40+ year old roof. Chris was not only REASONABLY priced, but I enjoyed working with him through the entire process. His communication skills are exemplary, he is easy to work with and he makes the whole roofing project a happy comfortable situation. For example, my roof tile is not manufactured any longer and finding acceptable replacement for broken & cracked tile that would not be noticeable, would be near impossible. Replacing all the tile would almost double the cost of the roofing project. After a brief discussion, we came to an acceptible solution that was just a slight increase in the cost.

His workers are amazing. Each worker had a job to perform and did not "laze" around. Upon completion of work each day, they cleaned the entire area.....no nails, underlayment scrap, broken or scrap tiles, water bottles or food wrappers. One of the impressive skills of the roofing crew was replacing wood facia & trim. The cut and fit was much better than the original framing carpenters of the house. They actually strive to satisfy.

After a storm came through and took our chimney off our roof and damaged tiles, Chris came over immediately and was able to tarp the area that was damaged and began the work on preparing it for replacement. He met with our adjuster and dealt directly with our Insurance Company on our behalf and was able to get everything repaired and done in a very timely and efficient way.

After a big storm rolled through our neighborhood and my roof was damaged, Chris was able to get out to me quickly. Worked with Merwin to have my roof repaired after storm damage. Romco dealt with the insurance company for me and got the roof replaced quickly and once started it was finished the same day. Will recommend them in the future.

A huge Thank you to Chris and his crew for a job well done. I bought a home and was told it would be needing the roof redone very soon. I called Chris and he was able to schedule my roof within days of closing escrow. The job was done in 3 days. We had rain one day and Chris was prepared for it with no delays. I talked to my roofer from Northern Az and asked for his opinion about the options on the bid, he gave me a thumbs up on the options and it turns out Chris and his crew had recently redone his sons roof. Romco Roofing did a complete roof replacement on my house about 16 months ago. I waited to post the review to make sure there were no issues through monsoon season and well into the second summer, and I'm thrilled with every step of the process. If you need a roof repair or replacement, this is your guy. A joy to work with.

Bid Process: The owner came out to do the assessment and estimate himself, which is always a good sign in my mind, because then you know the estimate is right. He took the time to walk through the various options, the pros and cons of different materials that could be used, and gave clear pricing on all options. I had multiple bids on the job and no one else spent as much time walking me through details, answering questions, and helping me understand the process. He was incredibly responsive, always got back to me right away when I had questions, and was on site during the actual work. It's been really hard to get responses back from other contractors, landscapers, etc., so this was refreshing to have someone actually communicate. 10/10 on professionalism, transparency, and communication from the owner.

Price: The bids that I got were all within ~5-10% of each other, and Romco didn't provide the cheapest estimate, but they also didn't suggest the same bargain-basement underlayment as the other contractors. Comparing just the estimates that included premium underlayment, Romco was very reasonably priced. 10/10 on value.

Installation: The crew showed up on time, on the right day, and with all the necessary tools and materials to get started right away. They had materials delivered and staged in advance, and made sure I was ok with where they wanted materials staged so that they didn't block garages or driveways. The whole team was professional (no empty bottles/cans in my yard, no cussing in front of my little kids, etc). They worked hard and efficiently, getting the job done at the agreed upon budget, and two days faster than they told me it would be done. There were a few spots where the plywood decking needed to be replaced, and the team took pictures, gave me information, and made sure I knew exactly what was going on before the work was covered up by the roof. 10/10 on the actual work process.

Quality: The roof has stood up very well in the last year+. I've inspected eaves, overhangs, and other areas that were previously problem spots for potential leaks and everything is bone dry. No signs of moisture penetration at all. The roof looks amazing, it does what it is supposed to do, and I feel like I got full value for what I paid. Romco also provided a lifetime warranty on materials, and 10 years on workmanship, so I know if anything does happen, they'll be right back to fix it. 10/10 on quality.

He came out to check our roof damage the same day we called him and was very willing to help us. He secured the tiles that were needed to make the repair the next day and then came out to finish the repairs. He was very helpful!

They did a great job repairing some tiles that had been damaged. I can’t even tell which ones were replaced. Many companies didn’t even bother to call back or provide a quote, but they were responsive, helpful, and punctual. Thank you for getting the repairs completed before monsoon season!

A reputable builder who is a good friend of mine uses Romco roofing for his projects, so I reached out to Chris at Romco when my large custom home in north Mesa failed a roof inspection when it was under contract, the contract fell through. I met with four different roofing companies to figure out exactly what the roof needed and as I spoke with Chris about it he took the time to get up on the roof with me and show me why he was recommending that it was replaced, not just repaired. I appreciate that he actually showed me what the problems with the roof were so I didn't have to take the failed inspection at face value. He worked with me on an extremely competitive price and I signed his contract. His communication with me from that point forward was perfect, always quick to respond and answer my questions. His crews were all courteous, professional, timely, and most important to me the site was perfectly clean at the end of each day. The roof looks amazing and I am extremely happy with my choice to use Romco and highly recommend them. Finally, not nails in any tires!!

Romco Roofing did a great job replacing the roof and eaves on my house. In fact the eaves were dropped off the day before which gave me the chance to paint them before they were put up. Then a couple of years later when I thought there was a roof leak Chris came, checked it out and it was a issue with the AC, which he fixed. Going above and beyond.

We had wind and hail damage to our roof. Chris gave us a very detailed estimate that was almost identical to the insurance adjustors estimate. The company started and completed the job doing a complete one day roof installation. They come back to re adjust a wind turbine. Chris worked with the insurance company to help in the completion of the project. I highly recommend Romco roofing.

Poor follow through. We had an item that needed to be corrected and they never came back to fix it. My neighbors requested the name of the company that did my roof. I didn't feel comfortable recommending this company. My last name at the time was Sanders. Your company did not put the proper fixtures back on the roof. I cannot use my fireplace until this is fixed.

Update: pictures were sent to the company of before and after and requested they come and put the proper fireplace covering back on the roof. They never followed up till this day. 10/28/2023. I've had five people request a roofing company and never recommended them.
