Made appointment to have front and rear differential's serviced. Made appointment several days prior. Went in for appointment and after being there about a half hour , service manager comes and tells me they have no,ZERO, fluid to complete the job. Have to shake my head and wonder, "who's on first "? This was in early June. We are now in mid-July, and the service manager tells me it will be sometime in August before they will have the fluids to service my vehicle. Again, I have to ask," who's on first "?? Only in Wyoming.
I've taken my Jeep to this place in the past for service; oil change/tire rotation. Rather sad is what I say. SAD!!

I purchased a car from this dealership four years ago. FOUR YEARS. Out of the blue, I received an unsolicited text message from a salesperson asking if I wanted to trade in my car. This is not just annoying, it's a manipulative and desperate sales tactic.

If I were in the market for a new vehicle, I would initiate that process myself, on my own accord. For a dealership to randomly text past customers years later, fishing for trade-ins, shows a complete disregard for customer privacy and respect. It comes across as incredibly desperate and frankly, slimy.
I immediately told them to delete my number and that this kind of solicitation is a terrible look for their business. I will absolutely never purchase a vehicle from them again and strongly advise others to be wary of their intrusive practices. There are better dealerships out there who understand how to build relationships, not exploit past ones.

Took my car here after being hit. My car had body damage, but all the electronics worked. They did have to replace the battery and some parts under the hood as well as body work. When I picked up my car after 2 weeks, the left blinker didn't work, and the remote start didn't work. Took my car back. They fixed the blinker, but when it came to the remote start, they tried to fix it with a paperclip. They never got it fixed and had an oh well attitude. One of the workers checked the oil by wiping the dipstick on his pants and said my car was a quart low with the car parked on a hill. Then he got into my car. When I got home I checked the oil and it was fine. I do not recommend this place. Find another place.

Great experience, worked with Tania and Adam to buy a car for our 17yo son. Professional and fun people that are family oriented. The process was fast and easy. We then went over to the service department where Tori continued the awesome service to get our 2012 Jeep Wrangler all the maintenance it needs. She even did some research and called us the next day with further information/pricing. Best dealership experience we’ve ever had. Will be taking our vehicles from Alpine to this dealership in Afton for maintenance and tires from now on!

I was thinking about buying a vehicle from this place but after what happened with my family member I wouldn’t ever buy a vehicle from these guys due to the fact that they make u pay for a extended warranty but then when something goes wrong they don’t uphold there end and when confronted they also hide evidence and get rid of it cause they don’t wanna say it was there fault or want to do warranty work and try and steal more money from u cause they say sorry the warranty doesn’t cover that, sorry the vehicle was brand new still under warranty and they had a issue and now they won’t cover it and now they are out a vehicle due to this place if I was u Honestly go somewhere else due yourself a favor I went to Kellogg to Dave smiths where they take care of there customers and are a lot cheaper then yeti by far it’s your choice but I would stay away from this place and go somewhere else besides this place over priced vehicles and take advantage of the good people of Star Valley

100% the best experience I've ever had buying a car!! JD was our sales guy and he was amazing. He constantly communicated with us and made the process painless. JD gave me options and took the time out to really find the right vehicle for my needs. I dont live near the dealership and was unable to get there to sign paperwork. Not only did he overnight the paperwork to my husband he delivered my new ride to my house. If you are looking to purchase a vehicle and want the process to be easily and painless JD is your guy!!

I don't like going to car dealers, I've had too many bad experiences, and today was no exception I called asked about a specific vehicle, if there are any issues with it at all and was told that it's super clean and runs great, I'm 2 hours one way to get to the dealership and on the way over they call me and say oh it has a oil leak under it now, I went on in anyway in case it was just something minor but no it was antifreeze all over the ground needed a new water pump, and also of valve cover gaskets the front tires are worn goofy like there's front end problems, the picture that showed the truck tire was only of the rear tires which were really good shape, they made sure not to post the pictures of all the rust holes in the body and badly rusted frame, so that was a wasted four hours to look at a piece of crap truck.
I will not go to another dealership again all they can do is lie if I buy a vehicle it will be from an individual from now on screw dealerships.

Not a good experience. Inquired about an inexpensive vehicle and got the run around. Called multiple times, and to add insult to more insult, the person in sales lied and said they returned my call, which was a fabrication altogether. Go elsewhere. Waste of time. Obviously, they are selective in who they want to serve. The more expensive, and overpriced, vehicles get call backs.

I got home this evening and two lug bolts had sheared off and the others were so loose you could twist them with your fingers. I called at 5:00 and spoke with Tori and requested to speak with the manager. I did not get a call back.

I paid over $3000 in service fees. $900 was a wind shield they were not supposed to replace. They were supposed to fix the air conditioning. And failed to do so. (Salt river motors found the problem and fixed it) they ordered me a new remote key, and programmed them incorrectly so now neither key works. They swapped out my tires and two lug studs sheared off! They had my car for 3 weeks waiting on parts.

Extremely disappointed I spent my money with them. And more concerned that someone else may loose a tire and not notice loose lug nuts! The lack of follow up is absolutely inexcusable. I purchased my current Durango from them but I will never go back for service or a new vehicle.

This is the best dealership I have ever worked with. I purchased new and used vehicles from them. They always work to give me and other customers the best deal. I do my research can state that they are the best place to buy. I use their service department for all my service and repairs. They are timely, trustworthy and professional with all of their work. One great benefit the provide is that the staff is knowlegble and super to work with. I highly recomend you buy from them and use their service department.

We bought our first Wagoneer in August 2022 from Yeti in Jackson, but scheduled an appointment with in Afton to have new wheels put on. The appointment was for 9 and I told them I’d just wait there for it. About an hour later I was told that they had the tires mounted on the new wheels but that there wasn’t any hardware included, so they would take the new wheels off and put my old ones back on and I could reschedule. I explained that the hardware should be in one of the boxes. One of the techs that happened to be in there said they only had one of the four boxes open (which would make it hard to have all of the new wheels on my car). A couple hours went by with no updates, so a family member that worked there came down and asked what was going on. The service manager came and told me it would be done shortly, and was asked if I wanted a loaner car. I declined because it would require me to transfer my kids’ carseats back and forth. A while later I was told that the lug nuts in the box were defective and stripped the studs when they went on, so they did me the favor of replacing them. I went another couple hours without an update, so the family member came back down and found out they had broken something. I had been there almost four hours at that point and had another appointment to get to, so I took my family member’s car.
After getting back to Afton, still with no update, I went to pick it up and found it with grease marks on my seat, center console, door, headliner, and dirty footprints. No one in service was there, so I never got a service sheet detailing what happened and what they did to the car. We called and let them know how our car was left, and received a phone call from the service manager who again lied about breaking anything, but said ‘I know you’re upset about what happened so we aren’t going to charge you.’ The solution was to detail it, but they didn’t have a detailer. Eventually I went in and talked to the GM on several occasions and was promised a new headliner, but it never happened while he was still employed there. Nobody after him seemed to care to ‘look into it’ more than just telling me they would. We had purchased a service contract with them, so we started taking it to Jackson for service appointments which (spoiler) weren’t much better.
Eighteen months later we purchased a Grand Wagoneer. The experience was so terrible that we resorted to contacting the GM who referred us to the new GM over the Afton store. We were promised that they would make things right and do what they could to fix things and earn our trust back. Although I can acknowledge that they were brought into a situation they didn’t start, they again made empty promises and added to the list of frustrations.
Our car was never detailed before we purchased it, and was fresh off a road trip where snacks found their way to the floor and the exterior was covered in winter road sludge. After getting the paperwork done no one could find a key for the new car, but the car started so everyone figured the key fell between the seats or something, and we could just find it at home and they would order us a second key. The next day they found a key at the dealership, so they sent it to the Afton store. I was given a folder that contained my old license plates and paperwork. Unbeknownst to me, the paperwork was someone else’s loan documents, complete with personal info and SS numbers. A couple people also looked for the key that was still missing, but to no avail. At this point we did have one key, but the other is apparently lost inside the car, which is quite unfortunate since that means anyone that gets into the car can drive away with it.
The list goes on, but I’m out of characters, so enjoy pictures of the awesome detail job they did. The lack of communication is astounding and eventually we came to the conclusion that new management wasn’t going to resolve the long-standing issues Yeti seems to have across all of their locations. I will never purchase another vehicle from them or trust them in any capacity.

If you are driving through the Star Valley and your truck has problems this is the place to stop at. They are very professional and helpful. Very courteous and care about their customers. They will not take advantage of you. Will stop here again if I have trouble and I'm in the area.

I’ve wrestled with this situation for awhile now, but feel that it needs to be shared with others, so they don’t go thru the same thing I did.

I took my Hummer (which was in almost perfect condition, I might add) in to have them fix my heating system. It would not blow any air at all. And well, I needed warm air for the winter. They had my Hummer for close to a month. Almost $4000 later (which was also an absolutely absurd price!) I get the vehicle back. It would now blow warm air through the heaters, but my air conditioning no longer works. They also ruined half of my gauges, as well as banged up the dash pretty bad, as well as scratched the clear plastic that covers the gauges. And there are now buttons that don’t work, as well as the 3 dash lighters/power outlets that don’t work. There was a lot of creaking in the dash after they worked on it as well. I was able to go in with tools and tighten down my dash to fix it, but I’ve had to deal with the other problems ever since. This was an absolute nightmare to deal with. My vehicle left there in worse shape than it was when I took it in.
When I talk to them about the problems, they said that they could fix them, but it would be MORE money. What a scam.

Edit: my heater worked for a whole month after they had it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you value your vehicle at all. It will get damaged, and you’ll get stuck with dealing with it.

They had my truck for over a month to find a short draining the batteries (diesel). They ghosted me to the point I almost called the cops. I got an apology because they couldn't fix it, but still charged me for battery terminals. After I got it home I grabbed an ammeter and YouTube'd the problem. 10 MINUTES to find the culprit. $200 for parts and all fixed.

Rocky Mountain Yeti is my go-to place for all of my vehicles! Since we moved to Star Valley two years ago, I’ve taken my cars in on several occasions for oil changes and tire rotations. Scheduling has been seamless and timely, and I’ve never felt like I’ve had to wait too long for the service to be done! I’ve also needed to have some glass replaced a few times. Jamie and Jared are the best, getting me in quickly and fitting their schedule around mine! No reason to take my car anywhere else!

Made an appointment over the phone for my new Ram 5500 RV that needed some warranty work and a recall done. Had to wait over 3 weeks to get in but I was fine with that. Took it down on appointment day and dropped it first thing in the morning. I get a call from them later that day leaving me a message saying your Ram is ready for pick up. I was concerned as the 4 items that needed done would take time to get parts and I couldn’t understand how it would be done already. I called the service department and they said that they can’t get the parts for the recall, the vibration issue I have they feel too but can’t diagnose, and the other two issues they don’t know how to fix. I asked them to take more time to get this stuff fixed as I live an hour north and didn’t want to come back after already waiting almost a month for my appointment. They said they would work on it but after another week passed without a call I showed up at the dealer to ask what was going on and the gentleman in the service department said that they haven’t been able to spend time on it and he said ‘to be honest we just don’t have the manpower to fix’! Now I am waiting for another dealer even further away to work on it. Last time going there and don’t recommend to anyone else .

Not able to give NO stars but that's what I'd give. Took my side by side in for service/oil change. Took more than 2 hours and I had to leave for an appt. Had to get a ride home. Next day I was dropped off to pick it up and was unable to get it for over 30 minutes because it was blocked in.
I made a short stop on the way home and when I came out all the oil had leaked out! It took awhile to get people there to get it running, and 2 hours later I got a ride back. Again, took awhile to get a ride home. A day after it was returned I found a small oil stain under the vehicle! $90 it cost for about 5 hours of my time and I never even got so much as an apology for them not doing a decent job on an OIL CHANGE!

We went to the one in Afton Wyoming. Tori was our service writer and she was amazing!!! It was simply stated the best service experience we have ever had!! The Technician was phenomenal and only fixed what needed it, even when i had requested work to be done (that didn’t need to be). He made a video explaining why it didn’t need to be done. He showed me what did need to be done. It was amazing!! He fixed everything and SAVED me money. This is hands the dynamic duo of automotive service. I can not recommend them highly enough.

I had made an appointment for an oil change at 10 am. I scheduled it early because I needed it in the afternoon. I dropped it off 15 minutes early and went back to work. At a little before 1, I went to pick it up and it was still in the shop. They told me they didn’t know when it would be done because the tech was on a test drive. The lady at the front was very nice and did her best, but I had to wait until he returned. Why wasn’t it done? He wanted to ask if I wanted my air filter changed. Why didn’t the tech call to ask instead of waiting until I showed up? I said no to the air filter and still had to wait to get my car, let him finish his paperwork, and pay. I didn’t get out of there until after 1:30. Why have an appointment at 10? I don’t know why - but I know why I won’t be making another appointment there.

We have used Yeti on 2 occasions. The first went so smooth and the insurance process was seamless. The car came out looking brand new! The second was a nightmare due to insurance. Jamie went above and beyond to make sure the insurance covered everything they should and that we were taken care of. The repair on this was perfect as well and they even made sure we had a rental while our car was in the shop. Very, very highly recommend. And Jamie deserves a big raise!!

Dealing with Ricky Mountain Yeti in Afton and salesman Mitch Allred has most definitely been the easiest and most fun vehicle trade I ever experienced. Mitch was the most honest, up front, knowledgeable salesperson I have ever dealt with. Everyone at Afton Yeti was so friendly, outgoing and mainly honest. Customer service was great! They never missed a beat. My only issue was with the pricing being high, however based on the market and the truck I bought they're all high priced at the time no matter where I looked. Bought the truck anyway, so that's on me. Found a couple of issues that they were willing to repair and did so quickly and even delivered the truck to my home 2 hours away.

I can't say enough about the service I received at Yeti. I was promptly escorted around the lot. I bought 4 vehicles from these guys over the years and won’t buy another one there. I’d be weary of the 20 year 200k mile warranty. It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. When I finally needed it it wasn’t there. The dealership had no record of the warranty that they are known for, luckily I found my paperwork and gave them the information. Still the warranty company wouldn’t cover my 4300 repair.
