We had an exceptional experience with Rocky Mountain Enterprise and want to express our gratitude, especially to Mike Stookey, for their outstanding service. Our roof sustained significant damage during a hailstorm in the Spring of 2023, leading to a persistent leak that persisted for months. Despite having insurance, two adjusters sent by our insurance company concluded that the leak was unrelated to the hail damage, leaving us without coverage.

Our frustration grew as the leak continued every time it rained, causing further damage. Fortunately, our neighbor recommended Rocky Mountain Enterprise and Mike Stookey. Mike promptly responded to our call, arriving the next day to assess the situation. He thoroughly inspected our roof and, recognizing the urgency, took immediate action by contacting our insurance company.

Mike's professionalism and expertise were evident as he worked with the insurance company to schedule a reevaluation of our roof. During the second inspection, Mike personally walked the roof with the adjuster, presenting a compelling case for the hail damage and the subsequent leak. My experience with Rocky Mountain Enterprises has been outstanding. I was referred to them by my friend and contractor who knows the owner. So, we called and spoke with Mike Stookey to do some roof repair due to a leak in the roof. He took care of that quickly and efficiently. And as luck would have it, about a month later, we got a hail storm. He came out and did a free inspection. And suggested we file a claim. He helped us understand the process and it was just like he said. The insurance company came out and inspected the roof and agreed it needed replacing. Mike took care of everything. Including getting the new roof decking when a certain big box home improvement company totally dropped the delivery ball.

The team he had working was quick, efficient and professional. Mine is an older house, ranch, and they had the old roof stripped down in 2 hours! Once Mike got the new decking delivered, they went right to work. I was worried that they weren't going to get it done in 1 day. Mike allotted 2 days. Nope, they got it done in 1! And the spent at least 90 minutes once they finished the roof up,to clean up. Including using a magnet to get up any/all loose nails. I was very impressed with Mike and his crew. And would gladly give them my recommendation. And I am hard person to please. I have 25+ years of customer/tech service and wife with 20+ years in customer service/retail as well means we have high standards. Mike and RME have exceeded those.

Rocky Mountain Enterprises (RME) just completed the installation of new roofs for our 26 homeowners and they did a great job. As President of our HOA, I can attest that both Darrin Azar, President of RME and Mike Stookey, Project Manager worked very professionally with our Board.

During the months it took to review all the pictures and reports about the poor condition of our roofs and the time the Board took to review other roofing bids, Mike Stookey was a constant presence with not only information, but also actual help with leaks and other roof problems that came up.

Best Company Around! I had been scarred away by many other company's when trying to replace my roof along with other things from hail damage. When Mike came over and explained the process to me, I finally felt "safe" and that I wasn't going to be taken advantage of. It wasn't as easy as any of us hoped, but everyone along the way always made sure I knew what was going on. Very honest and friendly company. Being a first time homeowner a lot of these claims are new to me, and very over whelming to say the least. RME has replaced several roofs over the years for many of our commercial and residential properties that we manage. They have always provided excellent service and communication throughout the process! In many cases, they were able to upgrade the roofing systems to a higher quality than we had prior. The owner Darren has always gone out of his way to make sure our property owners are 100% satisfied!

GREAT COMMUNICATION! Mike is awesome! He communicates every step of the way. Plus, these guys are efficient! They were done with our roof in half a day and didn leave a mess! They needed to unscrew our gate to get supplies to the back and properly put the gate back together! We will use them for all our roofing and construction needs!

Facts speak louder than sensationalism so let us report the facts on our experience with Rocky Mountain Enterprises (RME):
Our roof and gutters were installed on our home by subcontractors as well as RME as directed by RME (Mid June 2017).
We reported to RME that the gutters were leaking from a miter joint in the front of our house and that shiners were present on our roof (exposed nails installed outside of the acceptable nail strip. This caused us to fail our inspection (10/25/2017).
We reported to RME that a fastener (screw) was discolored and the discoloration was on the surface of our gutter. It appeared to be corrosion (10/25/2017).
The screw in question had a magnet hung from it, indicating that is was ferromagnetic and not aluminum. Ferromagnetic materials include iron, cobalt, nickel, steel, manganese, gadolinium, and lodestone to name a few (10/25/2017).
The leaking joint on the gutter was repaired with a sealant by RME (11/22/2017).
We requested to know who manufactured our gutters for warranty purposes and proper installation information (01/02/2018).
We were informed by RME that the gutter company they used was out of business and they could not find information on the gutter manufacturer, but that the supplier was ABC (1/02/2018).
We contacted ABC and discovered that they only sold aluminum gutter material from ACM (1/02/2018).
RME was notified of a leak again in our gutters again (01/23/2018)
RME fixed leak in gutters (02/07/2018).
RME notified of scratches on gutter surface after work had been completed (02/07/2018
RME stated they would come paint our roof jacks black as they were painted brown yet we have a black roof. RME never repainted our roof jacks. (04/16/2018).
RME gutter specialist entered our neighbor’s backyard without her permission while an unknown female was also present (05/08/2018).
Met with Mike from RME who said our $800.00-ish gutter job was not going to be touched by RME as instructed by the owner, Darrin Azar. Mike was told he could go if it was not going to be fixed (05/11/2018).
Facebook review is posted on RME’s page (05/11/2018).
The owner, Darrin Azar, called us and left a voicemail stating that there would be “repercussions” to leaving negative reviews on social media. He also informed us that he had a Bill of Material of “BOM” for the screws used during installation (05/11/2018).
We attempted to return Darrin Azar’s phone call and left a voicemail which contained our e-mail contact information. No return contact was attempted by RME after this (05/14/2018).
These are specific events that we do not feel reflect good customer service on part of RME. All events stated above can be documented through text or recording. Mike mentioned our gutter manufacturer to possibly be ACM. ACM states in their warranty information under “What Doesn’t This Warranty Cover” “Changes in surface color resulting from chalking, fading, soiling or staining.” They also go on to under “Facts About the Installation of American Construction Metals Aluminum Products” “Direct contact of aluminum products with certain dissimilar materials, or contact with water run-off from dissimilar materials, is likely to result in corrosion. Accordingly, care should be taken during the installation to avoid contact of aluminum with dissimilar materials including dissimilar metals (e.g. copper, zinc, steel, etc.), concrete, stucco, asbestos siding, pressure treated/pretreated lumber, direct salt spray, roofing materials or roofing.” It is our opinion that RME had the gutter installed and that their gutter company installed them improperly. Instead of taking ownership of the error, they have chosen to leave the customer with a voided warranty. We will not be using RME for any future needs and we will be encouraging our friends and family to look elsewhere.

After a major catastrophic hail storm, I posted a request for quotes of thumbtack. Darrin from RME contacted me directly via a phone call the same day. Other contractors provided passive responses via email, but Darrin was very proactive in laying out their roof repair process, material used, time lines, and assured us that our assigned RME project manager would be available for questions at any time. Since this was an insurance claim, RME worked directly with our insurance agency for compensation.
As the home owner, we were copied on all documents, quotes, and payment communication between RME and our insurance company. RME completed the work per the schedule discussed and for the price quoted. RME worked seamlessly with their sub contractors (gutters, painter, etc) and was on site at our home at least once a day to check in and ensure the work was up to their quality. Work was was always left clean and any touch ups (punch list items) were corrected immediately to our satisfaction.

During a recent winid storm, 9 months after the roof was replaced, a wind storm broke loose the trim on our skylight and, after an email to Darrin directly, he sent an RME worker to our home the next day and repaired thoroughly at no additional cost.

I don't make a habit of reviewing companies online or leaving reviews for product purchases, but I want to make sure that my positive experience with RME is available for anyone in need of home repairs - especially in an industry that lends itself to some less-than-honest companies.

Darrin Azar and his RME crew did a great job on putting on a new roof for us. We highly recommend his company for your roof replacement. Darrin also knew his roof products and the how insurance companies try to cheat you out of coverages. These guys totally helped me out. I thought I didn't have cap leaks on my roof line. But here thanks to an inspection through the inside of my attic, the entire roof was buckling and warping. Nails were stating to be pulled up - henceforth leaking. Even though the roof looked fine, I had serious black mold etc... growing. RME came in and took control of this situation. These guys turned the job in like two weeks. I highly recommend this crew.
