A Rock technician was out the next day, and after assessing the situation, fixed it on the spot, showing me pictures both of the tear and of the patch. He was fast, personable and professional. What impressed us most was when the young gentleman who came out to give us the estimate climbed all up onto the roof, went up into the attic to asses the situation, gave us the estimate and told us our options. No pressure at all. Was just a text away if we had any questions. When it came time for the roof installation they got it done and done right. Reasonable cost, friendly service and efficient.

I can't give Rock Roof enough stars! I made an initial inquiry after they did work at my place of employment. I was skeptical of ANY contractor because my previous inquiries to other roofers were way over quoted and way too pushy... Which made me put this task off for years. Rock Roof sent Smith out to see us and look over our issues. He was able to assess and quote us on site, no ridiculous quotes no hard sales pitches just honest and straightforward. Further, we've now had our project completed within 3 days. None of this waiting weeks for an appointment and then getting pushed back or canceled. They were on time and ready to go like a well-oiled machine. They also discovered some pretty significant damage once they got to work that they were able to repair beautifully. And without a ridiculous added expense. They were conscientious and very friendly and respectful which means a lot. I would recommend them over and over and over again. I've never come across a company so professional. From the start, to the inspection to the service. They new what they were talking about. They made me feel very comfortable. We set a date. They arrived ontime and got to work. I bought a house over 100 years old. That didn't stop them. They gave me a brand mew roof. They worked for over 11 hours. When they were done, they cleaned both my neighbors yard from. Debree. And mines. They even clean then back yard. They were heavily equipped and very polite. I'm so very greatful and pleased. When it was getting to the point where I was losing shingles every time there was a gust of wind, it was time for a new roof. After receiving several estimates over the summer from other companies, I decided to call Rock Roofing after seeing their new location nearby in Chesapeake City. Since I have an older farmhouse, I was on the fence whether to go shingle or metal. After calling and speaking to Ted Rock, the owner, a member of his team named Smith came out the next day and did a very comprehensive estimate going over the multiple shingle and metal options. Ultimately, I ended up having the whole house redone with shingle and their estimate was very fair with a great warranty. The day before the job, the weather was looking a bit questionable so Smith brought out a team that was double the size to ensure that the roof would be completed ahead of the rain.

Anyone who has done a roof on an older home knows that the existing roof could be covering a whole host of problems. They were able to sister some water damaged rafters and replace several sheets of plywood to ensure that the house is good to go for the next 30-50 years. Throughout the day, Smith stayed in contact and sent photos of all the work as it was being completed. With other companies that I called, it was like pulling teeth to get even an estimate. I would strongly recommend that you make Rock your first call when your home needs a new roof - you won't be disappointed.

Smith was fantastic. Walked me through everything, was responsive, professional and prompt. My whole process was completed in a week! Rock roofing replaced my whole roof within a day which amazed me! Very happy. Glad I went with them. I initially called them 3 years ago and the guy that came out was very honest and said I could probably get away with three or five more years on the roof. 3 years later I figured it was time. Smith set up a time to come out and see the roof. Materials went up a touch sence the last time he came out but not by much. The pricing seemed very fair and never felt like he was trying to inflate a thing. We set a date a few days later to have it done today. He said he would be here at 7am. I'm willing to bet he pulled in my driveway at 7 on the dot. I needed a few sheets of plywood, and he sent me photos of the progress and the sheets that were damaged. He didn't need to but I'm glad he did. Smith and his team had it knocked out same day and didn't leave a trace. I honestly wouldn't be able to tell they where here if it wasn't for the new roof. To the person reading this in search of their next roofer and/or gutter installer, you can stop looking now, I’ve already done all the headache-inducing research for you.

After calling every company in the surrounding PA, DE, and MD areas, scheduling the in-home estimates, suffering through sleezy sales pitches, sad attempts at trying to convincing me I needed the most expensive options, and each one informing me I wouldn’t find a better price for a roof of this size and pitch (like, could buy two new vehicles for the price of the roof alone, “better price”) from anyone else. I was at the point of giving up and letting my 20-year-old roof cave in on me, when a contractor working on my house suggested I give Rock Roofing a call. I had not come across them in my search, as they weren’t plastered all over every piece of junk mail that comes to my house, or advertised ad nauseum, so I thought, what the heck, let’s see what fun they have in store for me!

I called to set up an estimate, and the owner (Ted) answered the phone and scheduled a time for an estimate that worked around my schedule, without the usual pressure I felt from other companies to accept a time slot they chose for me or risk losing out on some amazing deal that doesn’t exist. On the day of the estimate, a very professional employee, named Smith, came and inspected the roof, in the attic, and the gutters, and asked me what I had in mind as opposed to telling me what I wanted. He then sat down with me and took the time to explain the entire process including, the difference in shingles, gutter replacement and guard installation, skylight and chimney chase cover replacement, and was honest enough to tell me that I did not need the most expensive options and why. He provided me a detailed estimate at which point I almost fell out of my chair, thinking he must have missed half the roof in the estimate. He assured me that it was correct, and then let me know what their availability was if I decided I wanted to move forward without being pressured to make a decision and schedule it on the spot.

Obviously, I decided to go with them. They asked me for no money up front, they arrived early and promptly got to work prepping my entire property to protect it from the work being done. There were about five or six of them working with care and purpose. They took a picture of the only board that needed to be replaced to show me the evidence and put me at ease that I wasn’t being charged for something unnecessarily. They were all extremely polite and respectful of my property. They even pulled the cooler inside my garage I had brought for them and closed the place up for me after thoroughly cleaning the property when the job was completed in a single day!

Just when you think it can’t get any better, the owner personally called me to schedule a time to meet with him to go over the job and make sure everything was to my satisfaction before ever asking for payment. Ted met me in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday and walked around the entire house and explained all the work in detail. He even noticed there were handprints on a section of siding and apologized and said he would have someone out first thing on Monday to take care of it, despite me telling him not to worry about it. Clearly, he takes pride in his company, workmanship, reputation, and attention to detail, which is not something you find very often anymore. I am so impressed and happy with everything about my experience with them and their work, which has been completed for a few months now and everything is still flawless. I wish more businesses like this existed. I give Rock Roofing the highest of recommendations and commend them on staying true to their values, and ethical business practices in a world where it is no longer easy to do. Good people like them deserve your business. You won’t regret it and your house will look amazing too!

Knowing that a new roof, gutters with gutter guards and downspouts would be a major project, we took our time to investigate and interview several top rated roofing companies by the Better Business Bureau, which included Rock Roofing. We felt that all the companies interviewed could accomplish the job. However we concluded after meeting with the owner of Rock Roofing, Ted Rock, that he would work within our time schedule, within our budget and with our quality specifications. And we were more than pleased with the friendly professionalism of his crew along with the finished product that was delivered. One of the things that stood out to us was that every promise he made was kept without hesitation.

Wonderful experience with Rock Roofing. We had damage from the storm and they were able to help us with the insurance part of the roof as well as provide an honest opinion of the condition of our roof and fair pricing. We decide to not just repair the roof but to completely replace it and we are so glad they did. They were also able to fix our shed damage and the attic venting in the same visit. They were able to complete the job in a timely matter and they left not a speck of dust when they were finished. Couldn’t be more pleased.

We were in desperate need of a new roof, as we had water leaking in through our sons bedroom. We called many companies to get estimates and rock roofing was the only company that was able to come out the day I made the call, they were very professional and reasonably priced. They explained in great detail why our current roof was leaking and what they were going to do differently when they installed our new roof. We had to wait about a week for install, due to the weather, not the company. On the day of the install the crew arrived early, prepped the house, worked in a timely efficient manor, and when they were finished they made sure everything was cleaned up and back in its place. We are very satisfied with our new roof and have had no problems with it since it's install, I am happy to refer their name to family and friends, and in the event that we need a new roof again I would go to them first.

I submitted an online request for an estimate for a roof replacement with Rock Roof on a Wednesday, Ted got back to me immediately and Zack was on site to do an inspection and estimate that Saturday. We were able to agree on a contract the same day, and they were finished the project that following Wednesday. The actual roof replacement was done in just one day. I was dreading tackling this project but they were so professional and efficient, I couldn't believe it was finished so quickly. Now I'm worry-free about the roof and gutters and can move onto the next thing. One hundred percent would hire them again and would recommend them to anyone.

I contacted Rock for an estimate and JC came out to provide it. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We ended up tabling the project for a year and recently reengaged for an update on the pricing. He provided it promptly but things went a little sideways when I asked them to clarify an aspect on the project and the owner came out to look at the house (sat in his truck out front for 20 minutes and didn’t even bother to introduce himself or let us know he was there) to ensure the best price was given. The end result of this was the company increasing their price by a couple thousand dollars. As much as I wanted to work with CJ and Rock due to recommendations and word of mouth I could not justify their pricing which was about 30% more than a Golden Pledge quote from a competitor.

Straight forward, great, fast service. Called Wednesday, spoke to the owner, Ted. He told I would get a call in 15 min from jc. He called in 10. He said he would be out the next day to give an estimate for the job, between 5 and 5:30. He was in my driveway at 4:55. Got up on and checked the whole roof. Gave a reasonable estimate for my area with a different options which they had in stock. I cancelled all my other scheduled estimates due to the fact that he said they could be here 6am Saturday morning. The arrived at 6:05 and working by 6:15am. They whole job was completed, completely cleaned up, and gone by 11:55am. I walked around checked everything including walking the new roof. They did really good work. They also bring a trailer instead of delivering a dumpster for all the old materials and it all goes with them at completion. In my area there are a lot of roofers and quite a few good ones, but I am glad I made the decision I did. I am very satisfied with the service I received and speed in which they got a quality job done was impressive. During the sales process and the install both JC (the project manager) and Ted ( the owner) were both on site. I highly recommend this company

If you want a top shelf job, then Rock Roofing is the contractor to choose. Due to some storm damage, we looked for roofers who were responsive, Ted Rock was quick to respond, and to send his repair crew to tarp the damaged area. Knowing the roof was 2 layers of shingles, we knew a repair was out of the question. Ted worked very closely with the Ins. Company, actually physically meeting the adjuster at our house in person. The tear off was well done, protecting our landscaping and gutters. The ice shield, underlayment, shingle installation and chimney flashing were done with professional skill. As to the final clean up, not a nail or stray piece of shingle to be found. This was all done in a single day. Outstanding service with attention to detail.

Nothing but good things to say. Greatest experience I have ever had with a roofer. Came out the same day I called. Showed up for installation on time. Finished on time. Clean up went great, if it wasn't for the great looking new roof, you wouldn't know they were here.

Updated-HIGHLY recommend Rock Roof LLC. They did a great job replacing my roof & everyone I interacted w/ before, during&after the job was knowledgeable& worked together very efficiently. A crew of 7 did the work in about a day & a half - including replacing an old skylight,removing all shingles&a few sheets of plywood that needed replacing,fixing an unforeseen issue w/attic ventilation&more. My primary contact was JC who is very knowledgeable, personable,&extremely helpful. Great quality product&workmanship,& I never felt any pressure. He stopped by on both of 2 days of installation.Ted,the owner of the company,is also very personable,took the time to stop by as well&has many decades of experience in the business,I think also quite a bit w/commercial businesses? I’m very pleased w/the work&that it was done quickly w/no cutting of corners.Thankful I had them look at the roof&replace it b4 having new gutters installed. My neighbor was also impressed with the job they did&had them do his roof-he’s also still very satisfied. The job site was left in pristine condition. Great product & warranty. I’m definitely a highly satisfied customer w/no complaints.

Update several years later-not regarding issue w/Rock Roof roof but “related”-still need to leave a review for the gutter company mentioned here but problem w/them still not resolved)-short time after the roof&new gutters were installed,Rock Roof’s owner kindly stopped by when I called re:small stream of water that hit me on the head&I got wet as I walked outside between 2 doors-one in my attached porch&other in attached garage.The roof was fine&when roofing owner looked at it,he said there was a gap between gutters installed by a gutter company&the side of the porch-I think the reason was the “leaf filter” insert they patented sticks above the top of the gutters&they couldn’t install them w/o a gap between end of the gutter&the porch,but they never mentioned it to me. Rock Roof’s owner devised a simple deflector w/materials he had w/him (no charge) when he stopped by&it was better but I still got wet. When my gutters later overflowed several times over course of 2+ yrs, part of it was due to bird nests blocking gutter on the back of the garage w/multiple nests inside/under the leaf guard near the downspout exit-causing severe overflowing along almost the entire length of the gutter. I later paid Rock Roof to design/install another deflector that works much better. Also paid them to cover the hole the birds were getting thru since “The Gutter Guys” didn’t do anything about it-instead they claimed Rock Roof did something to damage the gutters they installed (Still trying to resolve that issue-they provided no evidence or explanation for how/what Rock Roof had supposedly done &I’m 99+ % sure the roof was put on at least a day b4 the gutters but they claimed otherwise,not even knowing the dates at the time). Out of the blue I was then told by Gutter Guy employee that my lifetime gutter warranty was null&void so I paid out of pocket for Rock Roof to design/install a better new diverter&to cover the opening that was large enough to let birds get into the leaf guard. Having difficulty resolving warranty loss w/The Gutter Guys (partly due to personal health issues&is hard to communicate w/them but will write a separate review when I do). All I wanted was an explanation of how Rock Roof could’ve done anything to their gutters to cause these or other problems-i.e. a text,email,or letter explaining what the issue(s) was/were that suddenly out of the blue voided my warranty. The original. Gutter Helmets that we installed when we moved in (~1989) lasted decades&w/NO issues. Will submit review w/video for The Gutter Guys company once I have answers.

I just had 3 flat roofs replaced by Ted and his crew. I had seven different companies come out to my home in March to give me estimates. When I had Ted come out to look at my roofs, he actually gave me the estimate before he even left my home. I am still waiting 6 months later for estimates from 3 of the most well-known roofing companies, even after I called them multiple times asking for the estimate. Honestly, Ted did not appear that professional at first glance, but I am so glad that I chose him to do the work. I went with my gut- Don’t judge a book by its cover. He gave me the best price for the most thorough work- he offered to replace all plywood in his price, while other companies wanted to charge much more for each piece of wood that needed replacing. The roofing work turned out to be a monster of a job, with 10-12 layers of roofing material and severely rotted roof joists under a deck that was recently built by the previous owner to hide the severely sunken roof. His crew worked 12-14 hours, for 3 straight days to get this done quickly because I was having leaks all over the home interior. After the job was complete, there were some areas I wanted to be touched up or fixed to my high standards. Ted fixed the areas and exceeded my expectations and had a pleasant personality with me and his crew at all times. He even helped me determine where another leak was coming from a separate area in my home. I really like Ted and his crew and will highly recommend him with great confidence! I’m very pleased! Needed a new roof for my house that I was getting ready to sell. They came out in a day, did the estimate and gave the best price. The workmanship is the best by any standard. Rock Roofing installed our roof about 4 years ago for the previous owner of our home. We recently noticed a leak creating a stain in a ceiling area. Ted came over promptly, spent several hours diagnosing the problem, and returned two days later and replaced a ridge vent, shingles, and capping, and painted the stained area inside with Kilnz stain block. We are very satisfied with the thoroughness, expert attention, and promptness. Rock Roofing stand behind their work.

Ted was a pleasure to work with. I called his business on Labor Day, not expecting to get an answer and he picked up on the first ring. He was at my house the following the day to give me a free estimate and the job was done within two weeks. Ted was referred to me by a friend (Kathy Zane also left a review) which is why I decided to go with him. Hats off to his work crew as well. The foreman, Jose, was acute to answering any concerns or questions I had.
