Martin and his crew far exceeded our expectations when renovating our basement. The work was done with care and everything is beautiful. Everyone who worked in our home was professional and any issues (mostly outside of Martin’s control) were promptly handled. No corners were cut! I would recommend Martin to anyone!

We have used Martin's twice for work on our old house in the city. They are not the cheapest contractors but you are paying for professional and good craftsmanship. This second time they managed to take our kitchen that hadn't been touched since the 70s, strip it, and rebuild in less than 6 weeks, not many contractors could do that. A few hiccups along the way were immediately and patiently addressed by Martin himself and we have recommended them to several neighbors.

I had the best experience with Martin's teams - they had a very complicated task to install an egress window, install new plumbing in my basement, construct a new bathroom in the basement, and move and update the electrical panel for the house. Martin's Home Improvement did an amazing job on our renovation. The work included installing tile in 2 large rooms, adding support and leveling floors in a 100+ year old house, rebuilding a closet, and painting. Martin has done two projects for us, including to replace windows, a new entryway, and to paint and repair drywall in a living room with vaulted ceilings. The workmanship and attention detail was excellent in all respects. Especially the leaking window that had been replaced by another contractor several years ago. The previous contractor did not stand by their work when the window continued to leak. Martin's Team took the time to expertly identify the underlying issues and correct them, and the window has not leaked since.

We’ve worked with Martin and his crew for multiple projects over the last 5 years - 2 full kitchen renovations, 2 full bath, 2 half bath, moved laundry from basement to 2nd floor and other smaller projects. We have always been incredibly happy with the quality of work and absolute care put into every project. We have met with and gotten quotes from many other contractors but have always found Martin’s price to be reasonable compared to others, and we have continued to work with Martin because of the quality and reliability. I contacted Martin's Home Improvement to do some upgrades to my kitchen and address replacing the dormer fan in the attic. I wasn't looking to completely remodel, but to improve lighting, replace countertops and appliances, and add a tile backsplash and a laundry center. They responded quickly to my call and Darek came by to discuss and develop an estimate. He understood my needs and made some recommendations. The price was fair. The hardest part for me was to be patient, as several jobs were ahead of mine. At the end of each day, the job site was left neat and tidy. My questions were always answered courteously and, when the project was completed, Martin came through and inspected the work to ensure my satisfaction. Nobody relishes the idea of being without their kitchen for several weeks, but that inconvenience was well worth it. I've begun saving for my next project and will definitely contact Martin's when I'm ready to move forward. This is the second time we have had Martin out to help with projects and we could not be happier. He and his staff renovated a bathroom and just installed a tile backsplash. They are polite, prompt, and professional. Their prices are also very reasonable.

From the get go we were very pleased with the complete remodel of our 2 bathrooms. Unlike many, Martin was willing to work with us to include all of the minute details of the project before we agreed on pricing, which was very reasonable. This was not our first remodeling project, so imagine our absolute gratitude in finding top-notch expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail that Mario and others provided. The wet bathroom with custom shower to accommodate a wheelchair is spectacular. The second bath with oversized deep tub is delightful. Tilework and plumbing can't be beat. We could have written this review when the project was complete, but we are happy to report that our opinion is the same after 2 months use.

Martin worked on our house several years ago before he established Martin’s Home Improvement. He did an excellent job then and we were happy to hire him and his crew to replace our sump pumps. He showed up when he said he would and gave us what we thought was a fair estimate. His crew came and installed the pumps, cleaned up everything and were very professional. Even his office staff made it a point to ensure we were kept up to date on installation arrangements. We are pleased with the service and would not hesitate to contact them again.

We had a basement leak due to a stress crack. I got bids and proposals to repair. Martin was competitive and I was impressed by his analysis and knowledge of this type of a problem. He wrote out in detail what would be done. His crew arrived and did exactly what he had proposed and they showed me each step along the way. They sealed the crack on the outside and the inside. Problem fixed. I definitely would recommend the company and they will be my go to for any future work.

I have used Martin's team for several projects large and small over the past 10 years, from a door repair to bathroom upgrades and most recently a complete kitchen remodel. I had an issue with my basement French drain. Martin’s did a great job figuring out the root cause of the problem and repairing it. They left my basement cleaner than they found it. I was very happy with their work.

Our project was a two story addition which included two bathrooms - 2nd floor master bath, 1st floor bath, 1st floor laundry and family room, and 2nd floor walk in closet and media room. Our 70 year old house required 5 areas to be cut through to provide access to the new space. This was not a small job but it was completed through hard work using dedicated professionals. We were involved in all aspects of the project. We are very pleased with Martin’s Home Improvement. The pricing was fair and the timeline was as good as it could be. Yes we will use Martin’s again and will certainly recommend them.

Every bit of my experience with Martin’s Home Improvement for my bathroom remodel was great. Martin, the owner, stayed close to the project from the time we met to get an estimate until our final walk through. He responded to any calls or questions in a timely manner. The quality of the work was excellent. Mario did most of the actual work. I was impressed with his attention to detail and his patience as he explained what would happen next and answered my questions. Kim, the office manager, kept in contact as she coordinated everything from scheduling, to deliveries, and anything I needed help with. I highly recommend Martin’s and would use them in the future. Our experience with Martin's Home Improvement for our bathroom remodel was excellent. Martin came to our home and provided an estimate for the work that would be required. He also suggested stores for all of the items that we had to choose and purchase (tiles, tub, toilet, sink, faucets, etc.). However, stores were not set in stone, so we used the stores Martin recommended as well as other stores, which worked out just fine.

Martin and his team performed the demolition and removal of the old bathroom, which had a lot of old tile all over the floors and walls. There was a pedestal sink where the new tub is and the old tile shower was where the new vanity is. The old door opened into the bathroom and hit the sink and the shower was too small/tight for most adults.

Once demo was complete Martin had Mario perform all of the work, except for a small bit or boiler work which required a separate licensed professional. Mario was truly a wonderful individual. He was very kind and respectful of our home and was able to perform all of the work for our bathroom, from tiles, to electric, to painting, to plumbing, etc. Mario also had to cut out a new door for the space and move it to accommodate where the tub went. This posed different challenges along the way, as this is a small space, so plumbing vents and electric had to be taken into consideration when moving the door. A sliding door was installed to reduce intrusiveness, so yet another challenge, making sure the wall to the left had the space for the door along with space for the tub and shower plumbing. He was very knowledgeable in all of the areas and the end result really speaks to how skilled he is.

Mario worked in our child's room and even to this day (~6 months later) our son still talks about him, because he really left a lasting impression on him.

Once the job was completed, Martin came around and ensured everything was finished to our standards. I would 100% go with Martin's Home Improvement again for our home repair or remodeling needs. Not only because the job was finished extremely well and matched our vision, but because once the supplies were purchased (on us) the process moved pretty quickly, which we definitely appreciated as we had a new baby on the way.

If I can find pictures of the old bathroom I'll post them, but I've included demo pics and the new bathroom which we love.

Martin's did a total renovation of an old bathroom. Replaced old galvanized pipe, which entailed taking up the old floor( and then repairing what was underneath), new tile on floor, new tub and tile, new custom vanities. And painted the whole thing. All the subs were excellent( and all seemed to be friends or family of Martin.) Best workers ever. I was always kept informed about when the various workers would arrive at my house. I couldn't have been more pleased with the whole operation. And I have had lots of renovation done in the many decades of living in this old house. Martin is very detail oriented, very professional to work with, and I would recommend him highly.

We hired Martin and his team almost 11 years ago when we first moved to Delaware and then just hired him again this past week. As always Martin and his team deliver far beyond our expectations. The first renovation he completely remodeled the home we bought: a brand new roof, kitchen, floors, painting and even replacing the stairway. They completely the project beautifully, on budget and on time. For this project, we were perplexed why we were getting so much water in the basement and were told by inspectors and other contractors it was well water. But one of Martin’s team members was suspicious and kept digging until he solved the problem: it was a broken pipe from the city that was pouring into our property. It has now been fixed, the water issue has been solved and all because of the outstanding craftsman who work tremendously hard for Martin Home Renovations. Martin and his team are a 5 plus in our book.

We wanted to add tongue and groove panels to our vaulted ceiling, but had no ideal of all the issues that would cause this to be so difficult to do. And yet, Martin's team of 2-3 guys problem-solved and worked efficiently, effectively to make this happen for us. Our ceiling looks beautiful! We cannot stop admiring their work nor can anyone else who enters our home. The quality of their work speaks loudly every time we look up at our amazing tongue and groove ceiling.

I have used this company twice. It took quite awhile for them to get to my jobs but it was well worth the wait. I have lived in my home for over 50 years and have many contracters do work for me over the years. However, I have never had a contractor work on my home with the excellent quality of Martin's. I can aways find fault with the quality of work but not with Martin's. This company will always be my first choice.

Martin has done several larger projects for us. He has fair prices and quality work. He llistens to what you want and does it. He is also quite knowledgeable about what he does and can or should be done in construction. He always answers you calls.

Martin’s renovation of our kitchen is complete. They did a wonderful job. We could not be more pleased. They are professional, hardworking and talented craftsmen. They took time to make sure everything is perfect. We appreciate their attention to detail. They gave us a brand new, beautiful space and we will enjoy their efforts for many years to come.
