I called RL Sanborn because my brick stairs (original 1948) were crumbling. They came out to look at them within a couple of days and called me to say they would need to be rebuilt. We knew it would be an investment but really wanted the stairs back to their original glory.
I had no idea just how beautiful they would be when Rick and his team were finished. I'm so happy with the work they did. Not only are the stairs beautiful and built better than before, the team was professional, prompt, and just generally nice to deal with. I highly recommend RL Sanborn for brick work. I'm so glad we decided to spend the money to have this done right. I could not be happier with the result.
PS. I had another contractor on site for kitchen work while RL Sanborn was working on the stairs and he went out of his way to tell me we had hired a great mason. Everyone who sees them is super impressed with these steps.

They just finished a project for me - that had some 'unique components' (beyond the scope of this post). After getting several quotes, their assessment was the most 'straight shooting' bid I got (it wasn't the lowest - nor the highest - but it was the bid that accurately captured what was the right thing to do [and as we got into the project they would be proved right vs the other assessments I got]).

They started on time. Stuck to the plan. When unforeseen obstacles developed - they just worked at it until the problem was solved. They did not whine about it and try to up-charge me (which given some of the details of this project, I would have expected that from others). Despite everything, they put in the effort needed so they could finish on time!

They brought a professionalism, skill, craft, and knowledge to the job -- paying attention to details that make a huge difference. Everyone on site played well together as a team.

I could go on, but by now you get the idea: I have only good things to say about this outfit. I would hire them again for any masonry projects.

We recently had our entire chimney replaced and re- built by RL Sanborn Masonry and could not have been happier with their work.

They took great care in maintaining the character of our old home throughout the process and informed us every day of what they planned to work on. Any issues or changes were immediately brought to our attention for review and approval. They cleaned up beautifully and left nothing behind. Professional, courteous top quality craftsmanship. Great experience from start to finish. Took down old dilapidated block chimney and installed a new one. We are both working at home and we hardly knew they were here. No disruption whatsoever. Great guys a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!
