The guy in the yard, the guy in the booth, and the guy at the front desk were very nice and represented the company well. That was the end of my experience and it ended on a good note. The beginning was different. The guy on the phone was rude and rushed me off. I don't have much experience w lumber of any sort so I had to call twice which seemed to annoy the person I spoke with both times. Then in the store one of the sales reps was also rude and sent me to the wrong shed looking for the material I was after, hope that was just a mistake. The reps all seemed to have a bad attitude , opposite of the yard guys though who were all very kind and down to earth

Tim Johnson serviced my motorized Anderson awning window. He was prompt, professional, courteous, and clean. I highly recommend Ring’s End repair service if this is the caliber of people they employ.

Went to get some split rail fencing. In and out in no time. Plenty to choose from and staff helped load everything up. All smiles.

We have had two kitchen designs done by Kevin, who is no longer with Rings End. He was WONDERFUL!!! We met with Kerry a month ago and she promised us a design and pricing within a week. Fast forward a month and we heard nothing. I called and spoke with the manager, Ed. He informed Kerry’s mom passed. I emailed, extended my condolences and asked if she had the capacity to quote our job. She responded she would have a quote in 2 days. Here we are over a week later with nothing. Understanding Kerry is dealing with her mom’s passing, I reached out to Ed as the store manager. We did not even receive the courtesy of a reply. Not sure what’s going on at this store, but clearly their customer service has slipped significantly. Their lack of response has now put us behind with our new construction. Thanks, Rings End. Find another place and save yourself the headache.

All the materials you could ever need and a knowledgeable staff to help you figure out what you need if you're unfamiliar with building or remodeling. Their tools are a little on the expensive side, but you're supporting a local small business rather than a corporate giant that funnels its profits away and out of our local economy. The yard guys can be a little blind to a customer in need, but I assume they're actually busy assembling somebody else's order? Anyways it's one of the last local lumbaryards left so help keep a local business alive and shop there instead of Home Depot or Lowe's.

A go to supplier for quality building materials and tools. Combine that with a very knowledgeable and helpful staff. If they don't have it, they will do their best to get it for you.

Had exactly what I needed at a fair price, great selection of lumber as well as high quality tools and paints.

Excellent experience, Friendly, (they'll look you in the eye and smile), HAPPY, educated, experienced, practical (they have experienced ANSWERS you can trust). Just a few off the top of my semi knowledgeable head. In and out, one stop! Watched the contractors come in, same treatment. Bottom line - just go, seriously. I will no longer go to any other retail outlet! Thanks, both of you!

Always heard Rings Lumber was the best. NOT my experience as a woman.
Was ignored. Watched men be waited on before me and another female customer. Asked for help and was made to feel like I was imposing. Had to go back a second time
for help and the second guy recommended a bolt when I needed a screw. I will never shop in there again. Very disappointing.

everything they have is quality and they are always willing to give guidance for any project; large or small. wanted to give 4.5 stars and only issue is sometimes, prices seem super high...

I paid for a door panel from Keith Harlow on May 12th and the customer service has been miserable. No status on delivery let alone installation as promised by Mr. Harlow. After my credit card was charge he stopped returning my texts and phone calls. Other reps from Ring's have been no better. Last time I will buy anything from this company.

lots to choose from , may cost more than home depot but you get what you pay for always. if you want quality products from precision porcelain tile right down to the baseboard trim, its a big diffrence.

After trying to order on line, I called Rings End, Niantic. I spoke with a knowledgeable woman who answered all my question completely and efficiently took my order. I was thrilled with the service I received and will definitely do business with them!

They have an impressively extensive inventory. Deck planks were in stock here while Lowe's and Home Depot had been out for months. Prices are a little higher than the chain stores, but not so high as to deter the occasional purchase.

Slight hiccup with my original purchase but the customer service team was super helpful and got everything ironed out for me. Will shop here again!

My wife and I appreciate the help we received from Doug in the cabinet department. No pressure. Great advice. With Doug we were given an interior designer who has great ideas. Realizes the meaning of cost! We love our kitchen. We highly recommend Doug and Rings End.

The service in the paint section is great, as is the lumberyard. However, if you are looking for rude, condescending, and frankly sexist service, then go to the front desk section. This problem is exacerbated if you look like a homeowner rather than a contractor with a big job order. Every time I have been there, I am only able to get service after waiting for a staff member to wrap up his non-work related conversation with an equally unoccupied colleague. Only then will someone deign to speak to me, unless someone else asks about the latest baseball game. Even worse, if I happen to come with a male companion, the staff member will assume that a woman couldn’t possible have a question in a hardware store and direct their attention to him. This Ring’s End location has a reputation for this unacceptable and unfriendly behavior, making it difficult to support a more local business that has such obvious disdain for customers that don’t look a certain way.

I'm a contractor that has been mainly using Rings End since 07ish and they are my favorite by a long shot. All other lumberyards have less help, smaller selection, less knowledgeable staff, and not as up to date. I'm reminded that every time I use a different lumberyard

I think the place was way overpriced on a lot of stuff the other thing is I asked them where they could order me a tool bag they couldn't they said they didn't deal with this one company anymore I don't know why I just don't think it's a great place to go to when there's others around

Shoutout to Michael in the Paint department at Rings End Lumber in Niantic, CT! It’s rare to find someone so knowledgeable and helpful. With all of the giant chains gobbling up all of the local hardware stores it's nice to have a store like this to come to.

Great selection, friendly and knowledgable staff actually there and available to help you! My favorite is the gal in the paint department. She's great with recommendations and advice on projects.
