If I could give this company more than 5 stars I would. Shane came to do a thorough inspection of our house. We originally had called because we have waterlines that run through an exterior wall that freeze in the winter. After Shane’s inspection he discovered we did not have nearly enough insulation in the attic. Which was confirmed when we remembered having issues with ice dams in our gutters in prior years. We quickly decided to proceed with all exterior walls and the attic being insulated. It was estimated the job would take 3 days.

Donna, Kim, Jeryn, and Tovar were who performed the installation. Not only did they leave the property the way they found it, but I can honestly say it was left better. They were friendly, efficient, and paid incredible attention to detail. They completed the job on time and did everything they said they were going to do.

The cherry on top is this product comes with a life time warranty.

We recently had our home done by Retro Foam of Central Ohio. It was a husband and wife operation (Donna & Shane) and their crew of Jeryn, Tovar, Kim. These people were very professional and friendly. I would recommend this crew and business if you need your home insulated.

We are very happy with the work done by RetroFoam of Central Ohio. Donna and her team worked hard and through some equipment issues in order to insulate our entire home with foam and to blow additional foam into our attic. It has been a couple of months since the work was done and I'm already seeing a difference in our electric bill and how feeling how the insulation helps keep our house at a steady and comfortable temperature.

If you're thinking about having your home insulated, give them a shot, you won't be disappointed.

I really hate when I schedule for a company to come out to see what the issues are with my home's insulation and all they do is spend time beating down their competitors to convince me that Retro Foam is the company to go with. If you can't earn my business by telling me about your company and product then shame on you..

Just had them add some blown fiberglass to my attic. They were timely, efficient and friendly! What more can I say! 5 stars!

Our experience with with Shane, Donna, and the job their crew did was nothing short of phenomenal.

The Initial Quote:

Compared to other competitors that we received quotes from, RetroFoam went above and beyond and were extremely thorough in their initial evaluation of our house and the work that needed to be done. Our house is older, and as such, had unique challenges that needed to be accounted for. Shane did a thorough inspection inside, outside, and even crawled underneath our house into the crawl space in order to make sure he gave us the proper quote. His quote laid out that we would need to address issues in the crawl space and that we would definitely need to do the attic as well. He told us it would take 2 days to do Once he gave us the quote, he patiently and thoroughly answered all of our questions, encouraged us to think about it and even get other quotes, and then let us know our next steps should we decide to go with RetroFoam. He also informed us of their guarantee of work and the lifetime warranty on the foam, giving us peace of mind that the job would be done right, and if it wasn't that he would make it right.

My experience with the "other" foam company couldn't have been more opposite. First, they cancelled and rescheduled on me about 30 minutes before my appointment because the salesman "got a flat tire." Then the next day, when the salesman showed up, he spent the first 10-15 minutes of our consultation telling me about the flat and reinsuring me how trustworthy he was. He then took a 5 minute lap around our house to measure and quoted us a price without looking at anything from the inside or in our crawl space.

The quote took about 5-8 minutes. In his quote, he told me there was no need to do anything in the attic or crawl space, just the walls, and that they would be in and out in one day. His quote was cheaper, but it was clearly obvious that this calculation was so cookie cutter that he was really just a salesman here just to sell me on foam, and he never actually installed or worked with the product ever.

The Installation:

After deciding to go with RetroFoam, they scheduled an install date with us within about a week and arrived promptly. While installing the RetroFoam, they ended up running into a few more unexpected challenges with our house (that's just how old houses are), and after informing me of the situation, they went and did the job right without up charging me. The job ended up taking three days due to weather, but they had a great attitude about it, never complained, and were extremely helpful.

After the Installation:
Following the installation, we had some concerns that the walls had one or two spots that were still cold. The crew was out the very next day and found a spots that needed more foam due to the architecture of our walls. They promptly filled the gaps and told us to inform them if there was any more cold spots that we noticed.

After about 6 months, I can say that this was the best decision and the best investment we have ever made on our house. Our propane usage has absolutely plummeted and the 2nd level, which for years has always been about 15-20 degrees hotter than our 1st floor during the summer is actually cooler now than our first floor. I am confident that we will end up making our investment back with the money saved on heating and cooling our home and also the decreased strain on our furnace and A/C. I am also confident that had we gone with the competitor (who was cheaper), that we would have been extremely unhappy with the work and likely not seen much of a difference. I also imagine that they would have came back and said we need more money to finish the house and that it would have just ended up costing almost the same as what Shane at RetroFoam quoted me and stuck with.

When it comes to an investment like this in your home, it's so important that a company puts themselves in your shoes and treats you how they would want to be treated in the same situation. I can't thank Shane and Donna enough for their work and would recommend them to anyone.

Very nice people very friendly. Start to finish they worked hard to spray out home. Any questions they answered. Took two day surprised for the big job. Cleaned up and replaced anything they took off. Great group of people.

I have nothing but good things to say about this entire process from getting an estimate to completion of the work, they are fantastic. The sales process was easy, never felt pushy and then when the team showed up, they were very efficient and ready to get the job done and completed in a timely manner. Our house was built in the 1950s with zero installation so we can feel the difference and we’re so glad that we got spray foam insulation in our walls. I’m not even going to talk about the price which was better than other competitors. Thank you Retrofoam for insulating our walls and making our house more energy efficient!!

Wonderful experience. The team is very professional and friendly. They were careful with my walls and space. They went out of their way to do some of the work from the garage rather than through my house AND they left my place cleaner then they found it.

The owner came out and gave an honest estimate admitting that they are not the cheapest, which they are not. But the honesty and time spent here told me to forget the cheapest, go for the best.

The team of 3 showed up on time and were extremely professional yet just by hearing them talk amongst themselves I knew that they loved their job.

I was told clean up afterwards and it was beyond what I expected. They were friendly, wore shoe covers indoors and left with all CV cleaned up.

Is it worth it. Absolutely. My exterior walls of my condo where from 20-30 degrees colder than the room temperature. I checked this morning with it being 22 degrees and all areas improved
dramatically with most wall temps now room temp.

I had foam insulation installed in all outward facing walls and blow-in insulation in the attic and upstairs crawl spaces (cape cod style home). I was overall very pleased with the work and process.

The crew and owners had a great disposition throughout the process. They were super receptive to questions and feedback. They cared about getting the work done in the best possible way for me. And, most importantly they were honest and genuine.

They did a great job and let me know they were willing to come back if anything wasn't to my standard. I did have a few minor followup issues with the siding, which they promptly came out and fixed without any issues whatsoever.

When I found out my home had ZERO insulation, I didnt know who I could trust to take care of my old farmhouse. These guys were more than I could have ever expected. Our "old" crawlspace was very much in need of insulation...we didn't want another frozen pipe like we had to deal with last winter. I contacted RetroFoam of Central Ohio and within a few days they were able to come and get the insulation completed. We had Retrofoam come out to our old farmhouse and install injection foam in our walls. The team did an excellent job! They kept the job site clean as they were working and cared about our plants in and around the house. The crew was prompt and got right to work. They answered any question I had for them. When they left you couldn't even tell they had been there. The only way I knew they had been here is the fact I don't have a draft in the house anymore. I recently used them to insulate my 4 season room. They were very efficient, on time, they were very courteous and provided details for what they were doing that day. It was a good experience, I would recommend them in the future.

I found Retofoam through Angie's list. Before Shane came out to meet and quote price , he recommended I read the Retrofoam booklet on line. I did so and between the booklet and Shane, I had all my questions answered. I was a bit surprised when just Donna and Kim drove in a few weeks later to start the installation process. I thought there would be a larger crew to do the crawl space, attic and walls......but I quickly realized they sent the 'A' team out. Two days later as Donna and Kim were leaving, you couldn't tell they had ever been here. I'm sold. No question about my 5 star rating for the whole team.

My husband and I wanted to have our home insulated to make it more energy efficient and comfortable. We are very happy that we chose RetroFoam. Shane was very knowledgeable and explained the process to us. He stated that they would take good care of our home, and they did. The installation was flawless. We had a great experience with this company. They topped off our attic and foamed all the exterior walls of our home. The crew was friendly, skilled and cleaned up after themselves. Our home had difficult aluminum siding but they put it back very well. This will give us peace of mind knowing we've done all we can to be as energy efficient as possible. We recommend them!

Retrofoam did spray foam in my crawl space and poured foam in my exterior walls. They did an exceptional job working around my old farmhouse -- I know they had to do quite a bit of extra exploratory work on the walls, but when they were done you would never notice. We had minimal issues with foam seepage around baseboards and outlets, and it was easy to clean up. I am very impressed with their professionalism. The price was not cheap but seemed fair enough. The AC coming out of the vents on that side of the house is already cooler. We'll see how much of a difference it all makes come winter. All in all they were in and out with minimal mess and fuss. Would recommend if you are looking to add insulation to an older home.

Can't say enough good things about this business. Shane did a great job explaining the process. Donna, Kim, and the two young men worked all day in hot temperatures, even when they ran into unforeseen issues that made the job last several hours longer than expected. They were careful to work around our flowers. They did top-quality work and cleaned every thing up when done, including cleaning off the siding and picking up all debris.

They did a great job for a reasonable price. They were very knowledgeable and made the whole process very easy. I will definitely be using them again for future projects

We had them come out and assess our home and then do the insulation. The insulation has been great and any time we’ve had an issue we’ve been able to get ahold of them and they’ll come out and take care of it.

Our house is a flip so the water pipes weren’t where they were supposed to be so when they did the install they accidentally cut through them but they were able to quickly get them repaired (within an hour or 2) and communicated with us about what was happening the whole time.

Overall they’re great people who do a great job and I recommend them to all of my friends.

Shane came to my rental house and we instantly got along very well. He did a thorough job explaining the installation process and generated a quote on the spot. They finished Insulating our house to our great satisfaction, very nice and clean job, you can not see that any work was done even though numerous holes were drilled all around. They completed all work in one day. The difference in temperature control was noticeable straight away. I would give them 6 stars but there are only 5 available.

We hired RetroFoam for our house built in 1965. Their product solved our temperature differences between upstairs & downstairs and actually allowed our AC to stop running instead of running all day long.

Our experience with Retrofoam of Central Ohio was wonderful! Their insulation of the walls and attic in our 1930s Clintonville home made a noticeable difference of several degrees the first day that they were done. Our air conditioner couldn't keep up in the summers, making the upstairs several degrees warmer than the rest of the house, but after having the insulation put in, our second floor is now the same temperature as our first floor. Moreover, their insulation team was wonderful! So thorough that you can't even tell which pieces of siding were taken down. There were actually a few places that they weren't working on where paint was cracking on our house, and they took the time to scrape and paint those spots too! So impressed with their diligent and considerate team, and so happy to have had them do this for our home!

They came out and explained in detail what they would do. Everything went according to plan. My upstairs used to be so hot in the summer... I was so plesed when finished that I had a cool upstairs finally .. worth evey penny. My home is very comfortable. Now I also have a transferable warranty.. so if I ever sell my home . That will be a plus ..

This is our first home and it was really cold in the downstairs and hot upstairs. Ok. This is ridiculous. We had to have some work done( new outlets being put in). Well this is how the foam is on the inside. Absolutely appalling DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had wrote a review because it was not insulating our house. So they can out and blew insulation in the attic for me to remove the negative review. Well as of today 12/24/2024. This is how our walls look. It ate the foam wall insulation that is put on from the builders

If you used this company you need your walls checked. Plus it just breaks apart. How the hell does it even insulate

From Shane coming out and explaining what the process is and the price of all the work that was done from the techs. They all did great job and I can not recommend a better company. The job was attic and walls outside and Garage. They cleaned the Garage from the putty holes they filled and sanded! It looks great and I can not wait to feel the difference this summer and winter.
