Vitaly and his team were great. They came out to address our dishwasher leak within 24 hours and during the initial inspection set up equipment to dry out the damages. Vitaly even checked out other areas of our new home to ensure there were no hidden water issues we haven’t noticed. He sent us a detailed report and told us to follow up with insurance ASAP. Jaren was great during demo. They were fast and efficient. During the demo they had to turn off the water and we discovered an issue with one of our hose bibs outside. I called him after hours and he helped me fix it.

These people came in during our emergency pipe burst situation and took advantage of us. They are part of Your Home Expert, a contractor business. YHE told us they would "fight for more payout" because the mitigation company chipped a tiny bit of tile in the hallway while they were tearing out the carpet. Red flag! They are the mitigation company! They know how to game the system so insurance pays out more, and who suffers? You, the policyholder, and your neighbors, whose premiums are just going to go up as a result of higher insurance payout.

They claimed they found a mouse in the wall when drilling the holes to dry out the walls. I find this unlikely, because the holes are so small and spaced apart. The odds of drilling directly into a mouse? Small. This was confirmed when I spoke with an actual reputable company, who said that the likelihood is incredibly low. And, even if they did find a half-skeletal mouse, that is not grounds to elevate to Category 3--if anything, they would just cut out that area and clean that area.

Speaking with a reputable company made it very clear the difference between a legit, respectable company and this Restoration "Experts" company. Bigger companies try to do as little as possible and be as minimally disruptive as possible. Restoration "Experts" tries to extract as much payout as possible from your stressful emergency situation. They manipulate you into thinking it's "YHE + you VS. Insurance Co" but it's not. If you just ask your insurance company for help, they will help you.

ALSO, PSA, if you own your home (no mortgage), YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH THE INSURANCE MONEY. Don't let these people lie to you and tell you that you have to use X money for X, because it is NOT true. That is straight from the insurance company itself. Double check your policy to confirm but that was the case for me with my insurance company. YHE will probably try to threaten you and say they'll report you to your insurance company and TDI, but news flash! They have no basis to do so and are just trying to scare you.

Don't trust these people. Go with a more reputable company. Please.

This is our second service with Your home expert team fixing a recent leak in our home. We walked in on the water raining in our living room in the afternoon and within a few hours Your home expert responded to our call, and Joel and Vitaly came home and set up water mitigation right away. They did all the dampness measurements with photo documentation of the damage and the work and helped with the insurance claim. They checked on equipment and progress daily. I had a nasty roof leak in my brand new house (circa 2021), after a full roof replacement in 2023. The leak affected the master bathroom and the kid's room closet. I set on to find the company to do the cleanup (mitigation) and restoration. I did several inquiries with different water damage restoration companies, some didn't respond, some others wanted me to assess the damage and send them pictures, and couple of other contractors came out to look at the damage in person, but did not come across as professionals and were vague about the specifics of what needs to be done and tried to inflate the cost upfront without knowing what's behind the walls.
Joel from Restoration Experts was one of the first to respond to my inquiry and accommodated my schedule to visit in person and to assess the damage. He came with equipment and explained every step of the inspection, took lots of pictures and measurements, scanned for water damage and took probes. He explained the process and what needs to be done to do the demolition and cleanup of the affected areas. That same day he sent me an estimate, and we scheduled the start of the work for the next day. The promptness is the key in this kind of situation, because we needed to get to the root cause of the issue (at the time it was not clear what caused the leak).
Let me tell you that Joel and his team were the most diligent and professional team I had seen. They set up the work area with covers so no dust would escape the perimeter. There were lots of items I was worried about like my granite countertops, cabinetry and the mirrors in the bathroom that they saved while doing the demolition. Everything was carefully wrapped preserved and moved out of the way. I had to work from home that day and the team was working quickly without making any mess or undue noise. They earned my trust and for the remaining days I left the keys with them, because I needed to be absent from home. They finished everything on time as promised and left the area clean and dry, ready for the restoration to begin.
Once the walls were taken out it became evident what caused the leak and that was addressed separately.

This review has been long awaited but I am so thankful for the restoration experts. Long story short, I own a rental property, my tenants woke up with water on the floor from the A/C unit. I called a plumber (who was excellent) and they gave my information to the restoration experts. Vitaly called me right away and put me at ease, he had the team (Joel, Jayson, Mauricio) come and check out the damage immediately. I was in Houston and the water damage was in Dallas and I was freaking out, but each and every step was clearly communicated to me.
