As a fellow solar business owner, I can confidently say that GFE sets the gold standard for solar in Texas. Their workmanship and professionalism are second to none—highly recommended.

I wanted to wait a few months before leaving this review just in case any issues came up with our new solar panels and battery. Thankfully, everything has worked with no issues so far!

I chose to reach out to GFE for a solar system install because they have been in business for many years, they are local to DFW, they have great Google reviews, and are A+ rated on BBB. Meghan Orem was the sales rep I worked with and she was great. Not pushy, very patient with me, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. I will also note GFE had the best pricing of all of the other solar companies I had spoken with.

Samantha Strickland was the project manager and she was really great to work with as well. We received several updates as the project progressed through all the various stages (design, permitting, etc.) and everything went pretty smoothly except when actual install day came.

Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication between the installers and the architect and the wrong plans were used. This was really concerning for me because the installers cut parts of my roof fascia in order to get the panels to fit and drilled unnecessary holes in my 1 yr old roof all without consulting me first. That being said, GFE immediately apologized for the mistake and sent a crew out next day to fix the problems however I saw fit. The next install crew was much much better. They used my leftover shingles to patch the roof, installed new fascia boards, and came up with a solution that involved moving as few panels as possible to prevent more drilling. However, because of the design change, we failed our initial inspection from the city. I think there could have been a little more proactivity on GFE to anticipate this, but nonetheless they resubmitted the paperwork and it all passed.

The GFE electricians that did the wiring did an excellent job. Frans, did the the walkthrough after the install and he was very thorough showing us how everything worked and suggested which electric providers to use to get the most out of our system. Even the billing department (Shaima) was super nice and worked with me to get a signed lien release once the final payment was made.

All in all, I am happy with my experience getting solar/battery installed by GFE. Despite the install/permitting issues, I would still recommend them to anyone looking to go solar!

Good Faith energy came to my house after I pointed out that the panels were not generating electricity.

I expressed my displeasure to the people on the phone, the CEO asked their staff to fix it, and the CEO was on top of the issue.

Got a solar install done with Goodfaithenergy between 5/20 and 6/12, 2025

- Great sales reps, great roof installers, great electricians.
- Quality work done. I especially notice they route their conduits beneath the roof rather than along the top of it, hiding them.
- Not so great C-suite and Payroll Dept (pressured me to disburse and sign forms despite system not being energized on initial date due to a Powerwall 3 failure)

After the Powerwall 3 RMA the system was energized and everything's great, but there was some unnecessary heartburn during that period due to a lack of customer service skills on the part of people who just seemed to want their money.

Good Faith Energy recently installed a Tesla Powerwall in my home, and I couldn’t be happier! Throughout the process from site analysis, design, contracting and installation Good Faith people, processes, subcontractors consistently demonstrated technical competence, Customer care, meaningful / clear communication. I made one scope change, post contract, pre-construction. The additional cost was fair and the additional permitting effort was fast. I worked with Samantha and Taylor and they were both exceptional. I wanted to get an Expansion Battery unit for my existing powerwall3 and Solar System. I'm so glad I did because my my existing powerwall unit was mounted on a single stud and was not sturdy. The previous installers who installed in 2024 did not install up to city compliance. The Sales Rep (Meghan) was very knowledgeable and provided answers to all the question I had about the materials, technology and purchasing process. Good Faith Energy just finished up my job last week. They are very professional at every phase of the project Excellent presentation and very straight answers on all my technical questions. They provided great engineering drawings for approval and then came out with a large crew and had it installed in 4 days. After a hailstorm last year, I decided to go with a Tesla Solar Roof because I wanted a really nice look (curb appeal), and the concept of clean energy and energy that pays for itself over time.
We looked at several installers, but after meeting with Mo (the owner) and visiting the company in Addison, TX, where I met Michael (the co-owner), I knew the best installer would be Good Faith Energy.
I was not disappointed. The entire team from Lindsey & Amanda in Project Mgt. to Joe S. in Engineering, to lead installers Anthony & Francisco (electrical) was amazing. Their dedication to customer service was apparent every day, and they were all truly professionals. I was surprised that most of the installer crew were previous installers and employees at Tesla with many years of experience. We were the first Solar Roof V3R install, and Tesla even had an onsite trainer and supervisor.
We have been operating for 5 months and have had no issues whatsoever. The SPAN app & Tesla app are both easy to use and understand & provide tons of information. All in all, I would recommend Mo & his team to anyone interested in solar.

The installation team was managed by Zain Elahi who kept me well informed. The installation process was efficient and the construction crews cleaned up well afterwards. I recently had GFE add a 3rd Powerwall 2 to my system they installed a few years ago. Their customer service is stellar. From my first call about 8 months ago when I knew the PW2s had not been made for some time, to followup calls, telling me they would keep a lookout for one for me, to the recent call telling me they had one and the install everyone has been kind and supportive. I know who to call or email for help. The install team was great, install is pristine and they did a great job cleaning up. There is nothing I can think of that they could have done better for me.

Due to consistent power outages during inclement weather we contacted Good Faith Energy to install solar panels, Tesla Powerwall backup batteries, and a SPAN electrical panel to control and monitor everything. Good Faith Energy did an outstanding job of installing solar with Tesla Powerwall 3s and a SPAN at my home. I highly recommend them as your solar electric installer. Frans Sanchez, the field engineer with GFE was very kind to walkthrough the system with me. GFE is a great business that sets examples of how to really do solar right!

After meeting with two other Solar companies who pushed leasing, we decided a purchase was preferred and chose Good Faith Energy. The installation included 29 solar panels, a Tesla 3 Powerwall, and SPAN panel. Our main motivation was having a backup capability during power outages but saving on electricity when we are not experiencing outages. The SPAN panel is very handy for managing which circuits stay powered during an outage - thus extending the backup duration.

We chose Good Faith because of their experience, excellent reviews, and being a local company. From the start, our Sales Executive, Linsey, patiently guided us through the process, answering all questions without any hesitancy.

Our Project Manager Amanda assisted in obtaining all city, utility and HOA permits, and she did an excellent job in communicating throughout the process. During the installation, I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the team and the professional grade of all electrical components installed.

The installation process was capped off with post-installation support from Field Applications Engineer, Frans. He went above and beyond, providing both remote and in-person guidance on using the Tesla and Span apps and helping us choose a new electricity provider that offers buy-back of excess energy.

Overall, we are very satisfied with our decision to go solar with Good Faith Energy. We highly recommend Good Faith Energy to anyone considering solar power for their home.

Overall excellent work at the agreed price, very pleasant to work with. Some headwinds with the project: 6 months from contract to install because of supply shortage and local regulatory approval, with very limited communication from the company to explain the delay. They are Dallas based, and substituted a local San Antonio electrical installation contractor instead of their GFE employees (which had been the agreed plan.). I talked with the owner, agreed to use the subcontractor, and Elevate Electrical Solutions did an excellent job with the installation. The GFE company owner called twice to personally work out problems. He was transparent about difficulties and clearly committed to doing excellent work. I definitely recommend them for solar panel and wall battery work in the San Antonio area, even though they are based in a different part of Texas.

From beginning to end, everyone on the GFE team was professional, quick to respond, and simply the best solar installer to work with. Meghan, Omar, Zain, and many others all took great care of my project. I'm extremely satifised with how everything went.

I did some fairly extensive research and ended up interviewing 5 different solar companies. Good Energy stood out, by far, as being the best to do business with. They've been in business for 10+ years and their customer service is stellar. The sales process was no pressure. When I had questions regarding the contract, Mo (the owner) called me and personally went over every question/concern I had and was happy to accommodate me and change what made me uneasy in order to put my mind at ease. He was beyond nice and accommodating. The installation process was thorough and smooth. They happily worked with our every need and request. Beyond that, they are local and they always have someone who answers your phone calls and emails quickly. Once the installation process was complete, they sent out an expert (Frans) to go over how my entire system worked, what to do in case of an outage, how to go off grid, and how to save the most money by using the right electric company combined with programming tactics. He also gave me his number in case I had any further questions in the future. We had 75 solar panels installed on our roof with 4 Tesla back-up batteries. I did a solar panel , SPAN, and battery backup setup with GFE which was completed in December 2023.

Originally i was reviewing a quote with Tesla but got ahold of GFE sales engineer Mohammed as they were a certified premium installer of the former's energy products. He quickly won me over with his knowledge of the field and addressed every question posed with great certainty.

Out of 10, i would give the implemenation process of the system a 9.7. It was mostly seamless. There was a subcontractor delay and some details around the SPAN and battery backup setup had to be adjusted at the last minute due to logistics but overall GFE staff were quick to address issues and concerns as they arised.

GFE completed the installation and got all the municipal approvals to have the system operable by 2023 year end which i greatly appreciated as it allowed me to claim the energy credits on my tax return.

Post installation support has been reasonable and the installation remains in solid shape despite the turbulent weather patterns affecting Texas.

I look forward to working with them now and in the future. For solar in DFW, they are highly recommended.

Everyone from Good Faith is always professional and it has been easy to talk to them. They usually know the answer to any question, but if not, they get an answer within 24 hours. They always return phone calls or text's promptly. They are familiar with all facets involved in a solar system like how to choose an electric company and battery brands. They also keep you updated on the progress of getting the local permits. This is very helpful since the process of getting solar panels is quite complicated. I felt that I could ask them for information or clarification in the progress even if they were not the installing company.
Their installers are also very professional and efficient workers and they pick up after themselves. They showed up on time and explained what they were doing and why it had to be done that way. They were able to answer all off my questions and I felt they were very professional and took care not to damage any of my property. After the installation there Frans came out to explain in detail how the system worked and to tell us how to trouble shoot problems which may occur. I inquired with Good Faith Energy a year ago for a carport to add solar onto as well as batteries and an EV charger. At the time there was not anyone who could help me build the carport, but the sales rep I spoke to, MK, went above and beyond and kept searching until he found someone who could help. There were a few bumps on the way with the carport being delayed (not GFEs fault) but they remained patient and continued to work with me for the months it took to get the carport built and be structurally sound. They were the only company who came out and did detailed engineered for my system, explained everything to me, sparing no detail, and got my system working amazingly and looking better than I ever expected. True professionals in their field and they actually care about their community (I've been to several of their office events). I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Big thanks to Amanda my project manager, Austin the engineer who worked on my plans, and of course MK who was more than a sales rep, he treated me like a good friend and always had my best interests in mind. GFE is the only company worth working with through and through!

Good Faith Energy is one of the most reliable and customer friendly companies I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We purchased two solar/battery systems from GFE for our residence and our parent's residence. They handled all the permitting paperwork and HOA approvals for us. Installation was done quickly and the project managers communicated with us throughout the process so we were aware of the status at each stage from design, permits, PTO, and installation. I highly recommend Good Faith Energy if you are looking for solar or battery for your home or business.

Frans has been out to inspect a clients Tesla System with thermal imaging. He discover damage not visible to the naked eye and overlooked by trained adjusters and other Solar contractors.

Having seen so much shoddy work and lack of pride of workmanship, I normally do everything myself. This project was a bit out of my range, so I shopped around for an installer.

The roof crew braved excessive heat and a very steep metal roof to quickly and neatly install the solar panels.

We've had great service from Good Faith Energy, and Frans did an excellent job of leading us through options for power plans and the details of the apps that control our new system.

Working with Good Faith Energy has been an overall good experience. Once the project was started, things went very smoothly and we are very happy with our install. The only reason this isn't a five star review is some missteps in communication early on with several missed emails or miscommunications and some long delays in getting responses. These were eventually resolved, but when a new project is started, the team really needs to get together and explain to the customer who will be handling which aspects of the project. I still highly recommend them.

Good Faith Energy installed an 18kW solar system with battery back up at our house in October. They were great from the first call until the finish. Our salesperson Meghan was wonderful to work with and went the extra mile to make sure that they had as much information as they needed to estimate the job properly and was always available to answer questions and make sure we were aware of what we were getting. I felt that their pricing was pretty close to other quotes that we got for the system, but they were more detailed. Once we had committed to working with Good Faith, we paid a deposit and they put together the documents needed for getting a permit and we waited for Dallas to give us the okay to move forward. There is a little bit of waiting while this happens so be aware that between the work needed to get the permit documents together, for Dallas to issue the permit, and for you to get on the construction schedule it may be a couple of months. A lot of that time is waiting for Dallas to issue the permit, though. Once construction began the crews started early in the morning and worked diligently all day. They were good about cleaning up and I didn’t have any concerns about them having complete access to the house. Everyone was friendly and professional. Unlike most contractors I’ve worked with, Good Faith Energy had Cris, who was solely dedicated to quality control, come out separately from the construction crew after everything was done and look over the install to make sure it was done to their standards. They also had Frans come out and explain the system to us in detail, help us set up apps on our phone that controlled the battery and load control systems, pick a power supplier to maximize our savings, and do a power outage simulation to show how the system works when the grid goes down. Good Faith Energy is a soup to nuts provider. They never let us feel like we were on our own. They were experts on the system that they installed; they will maintain the system, update the system should we want that, and everyone has been completely delightful to work with. I don’t think you can go wrong with Good Faith as your solar energy company!

My wife and I had a great experience with Good Faith Energy! They did a great job of communicating with us really well throughout the whole process and the process of getting the panels installed was amazing as well. So far, the solar panels are doing great and generating a lot of energy for us!

The only complaint we had was that for the construction crew that worked in our attic for the solar panels install, they didn't clean up after themselves and there was quite a bit of debris. Other than that, very good experience!

My experience with Good Faith Energy has been exceptional. The up front sales process was great. Sammy provided all the knowledge about the system and installation process that I was missing. He was not pushy at all but he helped me make good decisions up front so I didn't have any regrets later. Samantha was my project manager and I can't say enough good things about her. My HOA approval process was not easy but the same day we got the first denial of our application, she was ready and submitted our well documented appeal. Approval came within days after the appeal. She communicated with me often during the various approval processes just the right amount but not too much. The installation went very smooth and within a few days it was commissioned and energized. Last but definitely not least, Frans came to my house to meet with me and educate me on the best electricity plans for my system, the various apps, and strategy for backup during grid outages. He is incredibly knowledgeable and this meeting was very helpful.

We found Good Faith Energy (GFE) from Tesla’s website as their preferred installer of solar systems in Texas and they responded within a day of us contacting them.

We had our first call with GFE on 05/30/24 to start the discussion on our solar project. They were extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. They even called one of their customers to speak to us regarding their solar project who said they were extremely happy with the entire process, and even subsequently added panels to their system.

We had several subsequent video chats with the CEO, Mohammed Abdalla, who continued to graciously answer all of our numerous questions and even revised some pieces of the contract with a few things we requested. The contract included all the legal verbiage and the exact specifications for the system that we had agreed on. We signed the contract with GFE on 05/31/24 and the process started.

Our site visit was scheduled for 06/01/24. We determined that a set of panels on one section of the roof on the front side of the house wouldn’t work due to no access from the attic, so we had to revise the layout. We ended up moving those panels to the back of the house and added a few more panels to generate the production we needed since that area doesn’t get as much sun as the front of the house. On 06/10/24 we added a SPAN to the contract and GFE had no issues with any of our requested changes.

We had to wait for approval from Oncor, which was signed 07/04/24, and we got Interconnection approval on 07/26/24. The installation was scheduled to occur 08/08/24-08/13/24 and did actually occur as per the schedule.

We had an issue where production was not as expected and GFE came out immediately, worked diligently, and got everything resolved within 3 days.

After a few weeks of production, GFE sent a representative, Frans Sanchez, to our house to make sure we knew what all the equipment did and that we knew what to do in various scenarios. He successfully performed an off-grid test where we simulated a grid power outage. He reviewed the Tesla and SPAN apps with us and showed us how to use them optimally, making suggestions for some of the settings. He gave us several websites to visit, suggested electric plans based on our system and how we use electricity in our home, and suggested we join the Texas Solar Facebook group.

We recently completed our first full month of production and our electric bill was only $35 dollars. The previous month was $530 so we are extremely happy with that!

Overall, we are extremely happy with Good Faith Energy. Everyone we have spoken with and all of the workers who performed the work have been very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We definitely recommend them!

Working with the Good Faith Energy Team was an excellent experience from sales, installation to and including the walk through. The project manager was on top of scheduling, contracts and all other issues keeping the project moving forward. The installation team helped with issues that came up involving the power company and worked it through resolution. Final installation was completed beyond expectations. Walkthrough team made sure that I had a good overview of what I had installed and helped set up the app to give me the best solar performance for my system. They also gave me options for consideration of different solar buyback plans. Overall they provided an excellent customer experience.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Good Faith Energy. They installed 30 solar panels and a battery for me. I did my homework and looked at both national and local companies. I could not be happier with my decision to go with GFE.

I've delt with several other services, but Good Faith Energy actually does what their name says. They repaired a system that has had several other Solar firms looked at and billed me for nothing done. The Good Faith Energy Technician is the first that actually looked at, told me what was wrong and took care of the problem for a reasonable price. I can't recommend them more highly. If I ever again I have a problem with my solar/backup system, they will be the first that I call.

My experience with Good Faith has been beyond exceptional. They were amazing to work with and I'm thrilled with the work they did.

I got roof-mounted PV panels from a different company over 10 years ago, and that was fine, but the Texas electric grid is unreliable and if you have solar but not batteries, when the grid fails, you lose power even during the day. I've no desire to bake or freeze to death in my home and wanted batteries. After quite a bit of research, I decided on the Franklin Whole Home, and contacted GFE. They were great during the quote process, they were great during the install process (which included me having to leave town for a death in the family), and they've been absolutely amazing post installation--way beyond reasonable expectations.

As it turned out, I got the batteries JUST in time. I've historically had pretty consistent power--even during Texas' Icepocalypse 2021, I only lost power for about 5 minutes cumulatively during the entire week--but no sooner did the batteries get installed and charged and the neighbor knocked the transformer off the pedestal. Three times, in three weeks. The entire block was without power...we didn't even notice.

I *highly* recommend GFE to anyone who's wanting to stay cool in the Texas summer and warm in the Texas winter.

I recently had a tesla powerwall system installed at my home. Installers were excellent. Arrived on time and when they did arrive, they let me know what work they'd be performing that day. Also cleaned up after they were finished each day. Project manager was also informative as she kept me posted during each step of the process (which takes about 2-3 months because of interfacing with utility company and getting local install permits). Last process was meeting with field applications engineer who took me through all the necessary info to program my system to my needs. All in all, would I recommend Good Faith to others who may be interested in one of these systems? I absolutely would!!!! Thanks Good Faith.

Update:
Here it is, several months later and I have some news to share. Before having batteries installed, I was checking in to see if they could save some money without solar panels. I have found that you can, with "time of use" programming. This only works with electricity plans that give you "Free" time periods during the evening or on weekends. I have already figured out that there is no absolute free, because oncor charges (.051893 cents per kw for all kw/hrs used that's in addition to what your utility provider charges per kw/hr). The batteries can be programmed to discharge power to my home during the day, when rates are at there highest to offset some of the cost. During the peak of summer, the batteries can discharge up to 12-13 hours before they are down to minimum storage capacity. And you want to save some power for emergency backup, which is why i bought them in the first place. Bottom line, i used about 1650kw last month with a majority of the usage during the "free" period. My bill for a 4 bedroom home, single story, around 2100sq ft (just me living there) was $125. That is the cheapest August bill I have ever received. I love this system, expensive, yes, but worth every penny. Thanks again Good Faith, you guys rock!!!!

I had GFE install solar panels, battery storage and an EV charger. They were professional, quick and easy to work with.

Another solar company said one solar panel was “un-fixable” due to rodent damage to the wires under it. But the Good-Faith repair techs were able to salvage it and got it working and also got the entire array and inverter working again. Also they repaired the perimeter fencing that was also damaged by rodents. I am very pleased with all the work.

I decided on going with Good Faith Energy after several friends referred them to me for solar panels. The entire experience through them was wonderful from start to finish. They constantly kept me updated on what is going on and what step of the install process we are on.
The city of dallas did take forever to approve my solar plans but by no means was that a issue with good faith. They made sure to inform me on every step of the process and install took 4 days (way faster than I assumed considering the size of my solar build). I have a 23kW system and two power walls and being mostly energy independent is an amazing feeling!
I would recommend GFE to ANYONE who wants a turn key solar and power storage install, as they have clearly set the bar so high with my expectations. They gained a customer for life!

I talked with multiple solar companies in 2019 and felt I was getting a sales pitch versus straight answer specific to my needs. Then I found Good Faith Energy and gave them a call. So glad I did, what a different company. They listened to my needs and concerns and worked with me to design and install a great solar system with Tesla Powerwall II. The owner, Mo, called me himself to answer my questions about the right configuration and installation needs for my home.

They even recommended a great REP to switch to (Green Mountain Energy) because this REP gives me 100% credit for all energy sent back to the grid - with no expiration dates. Went live with solar on Dec 17, 2019 and my electric bill is getting lower and lower each month as the sun shines more and longer. Got my 30% tax credit and big tax refund. Anticipating $0 electric bills this spring.

Their after the sale and installation service is great too.

Update 2025: My Solar Panels and Tesla Powerwall have been helping me keep my electric bills down and Tesla Model 3 charged. My electric bills have been lower (sometimes $40 - $50 range and other times around $125 - $150 range. I have changed electric companies several times shopping for better rates.

I recently worked with Frans Sanchez recently to get one of my circuit breakers replaced. He suggested that I switch from Green Mountain to Just Energy and sign up for the free nights program. I have always been getting lower bills because of my sell back of power. He said many customers are getting even lower bills than I have been getting - even $0 bills. I checked with other people as well who confirmed the common low bills and $0 bills so I switched. Glad he pointed me in the right direction to new company and electric program for my purchased power.

It started with Steve and crew as they arrived early both days to install the Tesla PW3 battery and inverter. Everything went well despite the rain and they completed the job in 2 days. The rest of the crew came in the afternoon day 1 and installed all the panels again with no issues. I appreciate how effective the entire crew was in getting everything installed within 2 days.
