I take zero joy in writing this, but Jason left me in a pretty horrible position. He has been MIA and completely unresponsive for over five days after he incorrectly installed my laminate flooring in April of this year. Jason left no space for the flooring to expand (manufacturer's install instructions recommend a 1/2 inch gap) in the summer heat/moisture that we're now experiencing. The result is that the floor (~400ft^2) bubbled in four places making more like a trampoline than a flat floor, yielding the living room completely unusable, without risking further damage. After contacting him, he showed no sense of urgency or responsibility in addressing the issue, and eventually stopped responding to my calls/messages, when I had several flooring professionals come through to evaluate the situation, and sent him videos and text messages detailing the problems he caused.

I am now incurring an additional expense of $1000+ to remedy his mistakes, which were exclusively installation related, but he is nowhere to be found.

He swept the sawdust and additional leftovers into all of my HVAC vents, leaving an insane amount of dust and debris for myself and tenant to inhale. He also did a sloppy job cutting inserts for my HVAC intake, not even bothering to cut it to size. He also removed my iron stairway railing to install the flooring, but left a section of it unbolted to the landing. He also sloppily installed my stair landing, leaving huge gaps, and never adequately correcting his mistakes.

I write this solely with the intention of warning others to not engage him for a job of this type. Incredibly unprofessional, and will never recommend or use again.

Jason helped design and then installed a complex water proofing detail for a unique situation in our garage. The time, effort, & dedication he provided was nothing short full service. Since then I’ve used jason for other household projects such as door installations, medicine cabinet framing and beam/joist repairs. I’m pleased to say choosing Jason will be a great decision for anyone requiring finish/rough carpentry work.

“Call Jason” has become quite the phrase in our house since purchasing it a few months ago. He has helped us, sometimes weekly, on issues that arise in the estate we purchased that sat empty for two years. From gutter fixes, leaks in the garage, attic access panels, wall repairs and door installs… and the list goes on! He’s reliable, on time and reasonable.

Our home was built in the 50’s and has lots of situations that require unique fixes and workarounds and Jason always comes up with a way to get the job done.

It’s become increasingly hard to find quality companies we trust to work on our homes but Jason is one of the few people we’ve met along the way that have really helped us immensely.
