We had a tub to shower replacement. Rendon did an amazing job. They answered all questions in a timely manner. Both Daniel and Tristin were great. They kept the work area clean and protected carpets. Will certainly use them again.

Shawn is a very quality contractor! I highly suggest Shawn Rendon for any remodeling job. Very professional and communication is right all!

We hired Rendon Construction for a full home remodel. Initially, Shawn Rendon was extremely professional and understood our needs. Work began on 9/13/2023 and was scheduled to be completed by 11/2/2023.

At first, communication was great, and he even set us up with an app to view daily updates on our project. However, he only posted updates during the first few days. The demolition was prompt, and for the first couple of weeks, there were roughly 2-3 workers at the house throughout the day. Unfortunately, the workers often didn’t know what they were supposed to be doing and would ask us for direction when we stopped by.

After week two, there was only one worker (James) at the house, if anyone was there at all. It was his first and only time working for Shawn. James was overwhelmed and pulled in many directions due to Shawn’s lack of oversight and poor project planning. Shawn often redirected James to work on other houses, including his own personal house (according to James). Shawn never once worked on our home himself. The most he ever did was haul away the trash dumpster.

Shawn constantly made excuses and blamed us for issues like "our tile and grout selection," even though we picked tile from a store he recommended and only provided a grout color, not a specific product. Shawn’s failure to order products on time caused delays, and we lost our selection for our kitchen countertops. We chose our countertops in September, but Shawn didn't order them until late November. Shawn constantly contradicted himself & his contradictions costs us thousands of dollars in addition to what was in our work order.

He couldn’t reconcile billing or keep up with change orders and invoices. He failed to apply payments properly and always had an excuse for everything. We had unapplied payments for months sitting in an untouched portal. In mid-December, six weeks after the contract should have been completed, Shawn claimed no workers had shown up because we hadn’t paid him, even though he never sent an invoice. When he finally sent an invoice, we paid it the same day, despite the incomplete work. We always paid on time, per our contract that he failed to honor.

The project dragged on until February. In the end, there was no "thank you for your business" or a final walk-through on our $95k project.

Update 10/23/2024: in response to Shawn Rendon’s response, he did reach out to me the morning after the review. And then again with a letter threatening legal action for defamation. We are choosing not to interact with him again because of the amount of stress involved with dealing with him.

The three month contract we signed went an additional three months over contract. Work was finally completed in February 2024.

The additional thousands we spent were due to him not measuring our custom kitchen correctly to the measurements of the appliances we sent to him and of which he confirmed. (We have screenshots of everything and happy to provide. My email is my first name.last at g mail.) We also had to replace our front fence that he charged us over $1k to replace and literally had his sub do 30 minutes of work to it, not replacing it at all. Additionally, we had to extend our short-term rental because of how little progress was being made in our home after the demolition.

The credits issued to us were for items we purchased on our own such as our vanities, faucets, etc.

Shawn Rendon was so demeaning & rude to me at the end that I always had to include my husband or FIL when speaking with him via text so he would act respectful. Hire at your own risk. Spending this kind of money on a dream project should be a dream, not a nightmare. Any business owner that threatens legal action for a customer exercising their first amendment right and sharing their opinion speaks volumes about the way the operate. It’s all very interesting that most of his 5 star reviews happened at the same time. Hire at your own risk!

Everyone was especially friendly and thoroughly knowledgeable of their craft. Work done was professional, on time, and with great prices. I am greatly pleased and impressed with the outcome. I would refer Rendon Construction to my family and friends.

Shawn has a great team. They hustle and get the job done the first time. Very impressed. I won't hesitate to hire them again.

Rendon Construction recently completed our kitchen and master bath remodel. The subcontractors were professional and work was top quality. I had the pleasure of working with Shawn and his crew on three home projects- basement, bathroom interior and exterior. The results were superb and completed within a very reasonable time frame. The cost of the projects was also very fair compared to the outrageous bids I received from other contractors. I would definitely hire Rendon Construction again!
