Red River Chimney & Fireplace

The owner worked with me to find an affordable installation for my garage wood stove through attic installation and the installation team did a great job working around my roof installation scheduling and weather. The installation looks professional and the team took the time to utilize the stove manual to ensure proper procedures while using top of the line high temperature sealant on pipe seams, metal boot to metal roof with wind support brackets. They were very detailed to ensure fingerprints were removed from the stainless outdoor pipe. I would recommend using them for your wood stove needs and services.

Chris did a wonderful job! I highly recommend this business, and I definitely plan on using them again He replaced a rusted chimney cap and then cleaned the entire chimney, exterior and interior.

10 stars!! Chris came out today (last minute appointment, on a LATE Friday afternoon) to discuss the repair(s) that I thought that I needed. He could have charged me hundreds of dollars for repairs that I didn't need; I would not have known otherwise. Instead, he fixed the chain inside my chimney, explained what was going on and also explained why I did not need any other repairs. He was polite, professional and honest - all truly refreshing! Recently converted my gas fireplace to a wood burning fireplace. The job initially looked easy, but was so much more difficult. Chris, Mark, and Hayden battled sub freezing temps, 4 inch nails, an out of date and puzzling gas firebox, and a strange chimney build to remove and install a new firebox. Chris and Mark came back for some unplanned masonry work to make it look brand new. These guys were fantastic! They took this on as a challenge and I felt like they were working on their own house. The professionalism and quality were well above what I expected. They will be my go-to chimney and fireplace guys for life. Job well done!

Company is professional and prompt via e-communications … and also personally answers phone calls during normal business hours. Personnel who evaluated our exterior chimney problems and later executed power washing/sealing chimney masonry, repaired/re-coated copper flashing and installed newly fabricated full chimney cap were professional, thorough and very courteous.

I just had a new flue installed for my aging wood stove. Marc and Chris were my installers and they were very pleasant. They were both very informative of what they were doing. They showed me everything that was problematic with the original flue pipe and showed me what they did to change it with the new one. All in all, awesome guys and I would recommend them to anyone.

Smooth process to install a new chase cover. Communication was easy and guys showed up when they said they would. They were friendly, professional, and done in a timely manner.

Since we live in a very wooded area, we bought a new wood stove for our home to replace the propane stove and were working to get the stove pipe components we needed to connect our stove pipe to the existing chimney thimble (the hole into the chimney). Well, this was the second local Chimney company I visited in Clarksville, and the best decision we made was to go with Rich and his team.
We ended up needing to get a special insert put into our chimney to bring the new stove up to speed (thanks, EPA). Anyway, Rich sent his team of pros out.
Chris, Marc, and Hayden came out to get us up and running. They were very professional, and knowledgeable and cleaned up after themselves before they left. mostly though, I appreciated that when the final parts to be installed on the fireplace, were not very visually appealing to us, they worked with parts they had in their trucks and also utilized some of the ones we had, it now looks great, and we are super excited to have worked with this team of pros I recommend them highly

Installers were great. Rich however WAS/IS NOT. We have had nothing but the run around from him. We are still waiting for the screen for the front of our fireplace. The blower on the fireplace isn’t working properly and I have called him twice now and it still hasn’t been fixed. We got the new fireplace so we didn’t have to use our electric unit to much, but that hasn’t been the case. I had to leave the 1 star to leave review otherwise it would have been zero stars!!!

Chris and Mark were so friendly and helpful! After assessing our chimney, they didn’t charge us for a sweep since it wasn’t too dirty, which I thought was very professional and honest of them. Highly recommend!

I had an old chimney cap that was leaking. Chris communicated the issues and he was very helpful by showing me pictures. He made it seem like an easy problem to fix. The team was able to order the chimney cap and replace it two weeks earlier than originally scheduled. Mark, George, and the admin team were all very helpful as well. I was very pleased by their work and their kindness. The new chimney cap also looks great!

Hayden and Marc Were amazing. They were thorough and efficient. They explained everything well and left everything as it was before. I would 10/10 recommended this establishment and especially Hayden and Marc.

My remote control quit working on my fireplace. The two gentlemen that came out were very helpful and polite. They were very thorough trying to fix my remote to no avail.
The remote needed to be changed out along with the remote box. They were quick and thorough and even cleaned up the fireplace for the new winter season.
5 stars all the way. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Mark and Chris did an amazing job cleaning my chimney. They arrived on time and were so polite and professional. Have a 24 year old woodstove it broke and installed a cheap potbelly and opened the pipe and a avalanche of soot hit me. Called they came in 5 days . Kyle and Mark were super professional, thoroughly inspected the pipe install and woodstove. Even gave me great advice on why my system was back flowing and accumulating soot. Even recommended getting a humidity gauge which I've already purchased to ensure the wood I buy is cured!. Couldn't be more pleased with the service which was above and beyond and more importantly most of the time when I get work done the worker is rude or mute...these guys were kind funny and odly made the experience a good time! Thanks to Red River I can light up my new woodstove with the piece of mind I won't burn the house down.

Chris and Mark were awesome !! They had a really tough demo but were exceptional at keeping it as clean as possible. The install of our wood stove was also great Chris really strives for perfection. The only issue I had was with the office which is not a show stopper, they need to work on their communication with the customer. There was a slight delay as they had to order an adapter and I was not really kept in the loop on that. Still a 5 star team!!! Would recommend them to anyone who needs anything from maintenance to a major install!! Thank You!

Red River Chimney & Fireplace made the necessary repairs to my fireplace at an affordable price. I called to schedule an appointment for a quote and they came out the next day. I agreed have them complete the repair, so they sent an invoice for half of total cost so they could order the parts. When the parts arrived, their service guy George completed the repairs. George is efficient and a professional. The owner stopped by to check on George and his work. The owner provided me with some information as I have never used a fireplace. I couldn't be happier with the whole process and will continue to go to Red River Chimney & Fireplace for all of my fireplace needs.

Mark and Chris did an awesome job when no other company said they could do it. They were fast, nice and very professional.

Customer service was excellent, gentleman drove an hour to us, did his inspection, informed us that our chimney was not in good condition. He didn’t charge us at all for anything. Not even a trip charge. Was very respectful and look forward to using them to get our chimney back in service.

So I called for an appointment and inspection. They came out and conducted the inspection. I was told that they would contact me with a bid and they did not. After a week, I called them back and they had forgotten about me, but said that they would work a bid and call me back. They never did. Extremely disappointing after the initial prompt response. I’d give them a single star if they had not been responsive to my initial call.

These guys are great. Super knowledgeable, super professional and extremely polite! They did a great job cleaning, repairing and installing my new fireplace. I love it !!

My fireplace hadn't been used since 83'... The guys showed up prompt and quickly went to work . Done a superior job. I will be using them in the future every time. Cost was priced right as well. It's worth every dime to know my chimney is clean and safe to use after a camera was ran through for inspection.

I emailed them to contact me about quoting to install a stove pipe for a wood stove. I received an email back stating they would call me the following day. I never got a call and emailed again asking if they were going to call, but never got a reply. I guess they are too busy to get a new customer.

If they don't get back out here soon to fix their Forever Fireplace install, this review will go down, down, down in due time... ... down now as far as it can go at 1 star until they get this thing done here!
Waiting for a response now to my latest request today after over 22 months with no completion at all from Red River...
Now it's 12/11/23 and we're still waiting for promises to become reality. Meanwhile the review is at 1 star.
It is now 4/24/25 and still nothing from Red River Chimney after going on 5 years now!!!... I'm fed up!
Well, Chris Goodman (the companies new COO) came out as scheduled by me on 5/9/25 and gave us a free chimney sweep while he measured our fireplace for what it needs to finish off the installation of said fireplace to finally make it look the way it should. He ordered the piece and will schedule us for final install once it arrives from Canada. For now, I have raised my review from 1 star up to 3 stars until it finally gets finished properly. Thanks Chris!
