Ranny's Chimney Sweep

Ranny crew did a great job cleaning out my fireplace chimney. I recently had a chimney fire so they inspected my chimney at the same time. They did an excellent job. Cleaned out the entire fireplace thoroughly. They also brought in drop cloths and were careful to not cause a mess. The two brothers were very friendly and likable guys.

As a new homeowner, I was anxious to start using my wood burning grill and stove. Thanks to Eugene and his crew, they swept, installed a damper, and restored my 1966 chimney in a very timely manner. They were kind, punctual, communicative....and even did some leaf blowing as an added bonus. I will continue to use them in the future; highly recommend!

I purchased a house that had a wood burning chimney. I knew nothing about them but knew enough to see it looked like it needed servicing. I found this company online and called and spoke with Eugene. He is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I am beyond impressed with the quality of work as well as the speed/price I was given. Eugene, even took the time to explain to me how to ensure the wood you would use is seasoned along with how to safely burn a fire. I can't express enough, how impressed I am with this company. I would highly recommend them!

Eugene, the owner was super friendly, was professional in all communications, and kept me updated throughout on his ETA. He and his crew were gracious enough to travel 90 minutes to get to my very rural location in the hills and were persistent enough to find our house even without cell coverage and lack of directions. When inside, they put down ground cloth to protect the floors and work area. Eugene explained the whole process, was very efficient, and the crew did a nice job keeping everything clean inside. Ranny's Chimney Sweep was recommended to me and I would continue to highly recommend them!

Came to find out that Ranny's Chimney Sweep is a 3-generation family business, and they obviously know their work. Ranny's grandson, Kyle, along with his brother Ryan did a fine job cleaning two chimneys for me, were very professional men, explained things well, and gave good advice. I highly recommend them.

I was looking for a chimney sweep after moving into an older home. So I took a chance on Ranny's Chimney Sweep. Eugene called me right back. He was at my home the next day. Very professional and courteous. He did a great job cleaning a dirty chimney. He took the time to explain everything and gave me great advice and future projects with my hearth and how to safely start a fire and operate the flue properly. We also had a nice cup of coffee together. What a nice man and interesting character. I would recommend Eugene to my mother and my best friend. So glad we found him. Thanks Eugene. Fantastic service. I'm in Richmond, and they showed up all the way from Louisa right on time. Nice guys, professional, quick and didn't leave any mess. I heat with a wood stove, and my chimney hadn't been drawing. They got the obstruction cleared out and chmney cleaned with no fuss whatsoever. Heat and peace of mind; well worth it. 10/10.

Had a really great experience with Ranny's today! We had our chimney cleaned. He was very tidy and cleaned off everything before he left. Before getting started he laid a bunch of drop clothes down to ensure our living room didn't get dirty. While he was cleaning, he noticed a couple things that needed repairs and explained why they needed to be fixed. We will definitely use this company in the future!

Got a late start to winterizing the house, including the fireplace. Expecting a snow storm and wasn’t sure if we could get anyone here in time. Out of all of the businesses I called, Ranny’s was the only one to return the call. Eugene was very understanding and concerned about our situation and said that he would be here the next day by 8a. Not only did Eugene and Jimmy show up the next morning, they were here an hour early, as they knew the storm was approaching. From the moment they arrived at our house, it was go time. They came into our home and placed drop cloths over every square inch of our flooring, from the front door to the fireplace. They cleaned and inspected our woodstove, then removed stove and heat shield from the fireplace and clean entirely from top to bottom, actually climbing up inside the fireplace to vacuum every bit of dust and debris that had come down from the brushing. Afterwords, they got on the roof inspected the chimney cap and made sure that was secure. After clean up, they gave me a tutorial on how to properly use the stove, the proper size logs to use, etc...it wasn’t just a service call, as it felt like two old friends coming to visit and lending a hand.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am just a simple man with my own opinion, however, if you are in the need for a chimney sweep and or repair, I highly suggest and recommend Rannys chimney sweep. It is my opinion that it doesn’t get any better than Ranny’s!!

Called Ranny’s set up a appointment he was readily avalible the next day showed up exactly when he said he would. Made sure he was clean laid drop cloths down inside to verify my home stayed clean. Then he cleaned and Verifyed my chimney was safe to use and how to properly use the chimney. Will defiantly use again!

I called this morning and this man spoke to me like I was a dog. I don't even speak to my dog like he spoke to me! And do not scoff at me while trying to give directions because there IS NO STREET SIGN because it was stolen. Do not speak to me like I am an idiot.
I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy.
