Rand's Ace Hardware

Our sump pump died and I called to find out if they had any pumps in stock. After a 15-minute wait they got back to me and said they did. By then it was 25 minutes before closing time. I said I’d be on my way but it was about a 20-minute trip. As I got closer I called again to say I’d be there but it was close to closing so I wanted to make sure I could still get in. They said to go around the back I could catch them. I arrived just as they were turning out the lights. When I got to the back, I caught the employee just leaving and explained that I had an emergency situation and that they knew I was coming. He was unconcerned and said they had cashed out and he continued to his car. Outrageous customer service during an emergency when my basement was flooding.

Employees are always helpful. Don't ever hesitate to ask for help. If you have never been there, there's 2 floors, so if you're looking for something that should be there, either go upstairs or downstairs.

Looks tiny on the outside but once you step inside then you will experience what is probably the same as if you stepped into Doctor Who's phone booth. My guess is that this place has virtually everything you might need for any kind of home improvement or repair. So far I've been twice, and twice with able to find what I needed. If I can't find it then I know I can depend upon a store clerk to help out. Very friendly and very helpful staff.

Lots of great memories about this place, I would go often with my father and myself when older, and was always amazed at all they have in stock, hardware and household needs.

Rand's hardware store has what everyone is craving for, but doesn't get: good old fashion customer service. Every time I walk into the store, they say hello and ask to help me. Keep up the great work Rand's, you've got a customer for life.

Took my Stihl chainsaw in to be tuned up. Everyone there was very friendly and my saw was done the next day! Neat store too!

Very well run hardware store. It was clean and well organized. The people working there were very helpful and usually asked if you needed help before you asked for help from them. Their stock has a wider selection than most neighborhood hardware stores I've seen. And I did call ahead one time on an unusual part and the person answering t g e phone gladly went to see if the part I wanted was in stock.

An important part of visiting this store is to never park in the front ALWAYS park in the back. There's lots of parking in the back and it allows you to avoid the busy street all together. They are located on the busiest road in Plymouth and backing out on to the street is nearly impossible and very risky. It took me a long time to get out because no one was letting me out.

Something is different here. Prior experiences (several years ago)had left me with the feeling that many of the staff didn't want to be bothered with customers. Now, it is a pleasure to go there. This is a very well stocked downtown hardware store with rental equipment and services such as tool sharpening, etc.

Always a nice experience with the older gentlemen. It's sad that the store hired young men. The customer service doesn't measure up like it used to. These young men are rude and refused to help. Didn't think asking a question was going to make us feel less valued. Blonde young man flat out said, "don't know" AND didn't get help from anyone to help us with our home repairs. Troubling to see. Today's younger generation don't know anything about home repairs. Everyone is capable of learning. It's just a matter of figuring out how we learn and what works for them.

Awesome staff. Great customer service. Good rental equipment. I am a regular here. They almost always have what I am looking for.

They did not have the pneumatic nails I needed. They got on the phone and made calls on my behalf. Incredible!

Great very helpful and friendly, bought a new chain saw and accessories, only thing was when I got home the quart can of fuel I bought had leaked in the bag list about a quarter of it, in the truck.

seemingly well-stocked hardware store. definitely the place for your basic hardware needs. staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledge about the goods in the store.

They had the one piece I needed to fix my old leaky kholer faucet. We need to keep stores like this open. Big box stores might be cheaper...but not better.

Just the place to go for the fasteners you need. In many cases you can buy just one or two, instead of a whole bag.

Great place to get whatever you need for the house and outside wear to cleaning supplies for the house and you can't forget about the kiddos they have amazing gifts For them all ages.

I rented a stump grinder & bought some parts to repair my bathroom sink drain. Reasonable prices & friendly service.

Some staff are not fully adhering to covid mask protocols, I've seen employees not wearing masks over their nose on multiple occasions.

This is a nice old hardware store that sells simple stuff like nuts and bolts they sell small appliances some soda candy boots clothing and they even rent out equipment it's realistically one of the best places in the area to get anything hardware related without driving 25-30 minutes or more The company is historic to the area and overall I would suggest if you need something and you're in the area to go

Great service , old ma and pa feel, met my new neighbor. The way out I believe the owner who I'd never met or the mngr went put of way to come over and say thanx and have a good day. All I spent was 20 bucks. That service to me is worth saying goodbye to all other places.

I'm local been here a lot of times never really get the sense that they care if you buy from them or not I've seen them be very friendly with people they know but don't seem too helpful or friendly to people that they may not be familiar with some of their staff members knowledge of their products is very limited and when you ask questions you get a blank stair sorry I can't help you they never bother to ask anybody else if they can help with my question. I go here out of necessity limited options in our area
