Fernando did an amazing job inspecting my in-laws’ roof. He took the time to thoroughly assess the condition and made sure their home had the proper ventilation. DO NOT USE R1 Roofing and Siding — A Total Disaster

Hiring R1 to do the siding on my home was an absolute mistake. The job was a mess from the beginning, and even though the project wrapped up months ago, I’m still dealing with the fallout.

They left nails everywhere—in the yard, flowerbeds, and all over the driveway. It’s been seven months since they finished, and I’m still finding nails. That’s not just sloppy—that’s dangerous and unacceptable.

The painter they used managed to use the wrong paint not once, but twice, and then proceeded to slop paint all over my windows. Zero attention to detail, no masking or protection, just a rush job with no pride.

They also damaged my trees, tore up the lawn, and treated my property like a trash can—cigarette butts left all over. Completely disrespectful.

They installed visibly damaged siding, and I had to get the owner involved just to get any response. But even then, the workmanship remained poor.

The worst part? They used MDF as exterior siding material. That’s right—MDF, which is entirely unsuitable for outdoor exposure. And now, just months later, it’s already falling apart. Total negligence in both material selection and application.

In short: R1 is unprofessional, careless, and not worth the risk. If you care about your home and want a job done right, go with anyone else.

No need to look any farther than R1 Roofing! I worked with Luis on getting my roof, rain gutter, gutter guards, and downspouts replaced. I let Luis know my plan of trying to get my home owners insurance to help pay. Unfortunately my claim was denied after months of talking to them. Luis was very patient and had an idea of trying to go through not one but a second public adjuster to help me save some money. This didn’t work either. I have the utmost respect for Luis and his crew as they are extremely honest with everything. I ultimately decided to go with R1 Roofing for the sheer fact of knowing shady things weren’t going to be pulled with the insurance company (If lies would be told to the insurance then why not lie to the customer) and the price was almost unbelievable for the product and warranty you get. My only complaint is Luis is hard to get a hold of at times as he has many people he is helping and gives each and everyone the time they need to ask questions and get an honest answer. Luis will always return your call as soon as he is able to. I will not call around for another roofing contractor if I end up moving and in need of another roof in the future. Well done Luis and team!

If you need a reason to have faith in the integrity of a roofing company, look no farther than R1 Roofing. My wife and I had an immediate good feeling after meeting David, the boss, that was profound. It was well founded. In spite of the proximity of a powerline to our roof, and our yard, they were unable to crane or forklift the shingles up which cost several hours of labor humping the bunks up ladders. The price didn't go up a penny. The crew worked hard all day, standing for a few minutes to eat lunch on the hood of a truck. They weren't interested in breaks or long lunches. They just got fueled up and ware back at it full speed ahead. At the end, a piece of our gutter heating system got misplaced. David ordered a new one and wouldn't take a red cent until it arrived and was installed. If there were 10 stars available, that's what I'd give this outfit. Simply outstanding in all respects.

David and his crew did an excellent job repairing our roof and replacing our siding after a hail storm. Their pricing was very competitive and communication was great. He addressed all my questions and concerns and helped us gather all necessary documents for our insurance. We love how it turned out!

We started roofing ourselves but realized we needed a professional. I called Dave on a Saturday and he answered right away. He worked closely with me and answered all my questions about the whole process. By Monday he had us a finalized quote to replace the roof as well as remove & reinstall our solar panels. He got us on the schedule a few days later.

The crew was very nice and they were very thorough with their work, using tarps all around the foundation to catch any debris that hit the ground. They finished in a few days. R1 disposed of all the old roofing materials as well as running magnets around the entire yard & house to pick up any loose nails or metal debris. Great Job by everyone at R1 with their help, communication and workmanship.

The idea of replacing my roof was a major stress- but Luis and the team at R1 Roofing made the process smooth and simple. I love my new roof and gutters more than I could have imagined. The team was super efficient- I have a large roof with a steep pitch- and they handled it fantastically. Did the entire roof in under two days. Looks amazing! And the 50 year warranty can’t be beat. I’d say I’d use them again for sure- but I don’t plan on being above ground 50 years from now. But I’ll make sure my kids give them a call.

I'm not saying that will be the case for everyone's situation but today, for me, Pahoram and Juan helped me out of a jam. Throughout the process, Luis went above and beyond to answer questions, provide documentation to my insurance, and make sure everything was done well in the installation and cleanup. Normally my husband and I are irritated by salespeople haha, but it was completely different when Luis helped us. He wasn't pushy at all, gave us really helpful information, waited till we were ready, and made the whole process a great experience. R1 has been AMAZING from start to finish! I worked with Bryce and Luis to get my roof replaced due to wind damage. This was quite an overwhelming, unexpected major house repair; I had just had major surgery that came with some unexpected complications. Bryce had Luis draw up a bid the very night he had told me about R1. I was so impressed with Luis’s quick response, detailed bid and ease of communication. After getting several other bids and being “ghosted” followed by texts saying, “just let us know when we can pick up the check,” from other roofing companies, I was not happy. Bryce and Luis came over to the house (at MY convenience), discussed the different options, brought samples, offered suggestions and were NOT pushy. We had a leaky roof that needed repair. They were able to start and finish quickly and did great work. It's nice to have all this rain we're getting staying outside now. They also did some indoor patch work where the sheetrock had been damaged.

They even deducted some money from the overall bid because there wasn't as much damage as they had anticipated. That was the honest thing to do. I had an excellent experience with R1 Roofing. I selected this company in addition to 15 other companies to give me a bid for a roof and gutter replacement. I educated myself on what is needed for a quality roof/gutter installation and after weeks of research it became clear that R1 has all the qualities necessary to install top quality materials and at a fair price. They were quick to respond to any questions I had and were highly competent . They were through with listing materials used and explained how and why they were used. They sent me photos step by step as the installation occurred. They cleaned up after each day of installation and were respectful of my property and finished the project on time. They quickly registered the roof warranty after the installation and I couldn’t be more pleased with how well it all turned out. Bottom line is that I’ve done heaps of roofing research and this company comes out on top, and as a bonus, they were really great to work with!

A workman from another company noticed a boot around a vent pipe on my roof was starting to wear out and crack. I called R-1 Roofing the next day and in seemingly no time one of their lead employees came out, inspected my whole roof and took lots of pics to show me that all of the vent pipe boots were aging. I agreed to have them do the needed work and in 2 days the crew was up on my roof doing the needed repairs. They took more pictures of their work and I am quite pleased and satisfied. In the process I was told that my roof should be good for another 3 years or so.

These guys were amazing! They showed up with a full crew and were very efficient. They had the roof off in no time and the new roof up before the end of the day. They were less expensive than any other quote we got. I would recommend them all day long, every day of the week.

After many bids to replace my roof I choose R1 Roofing company. The team of workers had my 3 layers of old shingles off in one day and most of the roof reshingled by dark. The team stayed and worked until it was too dark to work. The team was worried about a possible rain storm the following day. They could have just called it a day when it was time, but they wanted to make sure my home was done right.

Luis was very communicative. He was very professional in his conversation. I had zero questions about what was happening because Luis made sure I knew answers to questions I didn’t even know I had.

These guys are top notch. We knew we needed a new roof due to some deteriation and some leaks that came through with any heavy rainstorm. We kept putting it off though due to cost. A company called Dabella doing door to door sales came by and we allowed them to set up an inspection and do up a bid for us. It was way more expensive than ever anticipated. In fact, it would have been a ripoff. It certainly didn't feel right so we started shopping around for other estimates. So we went to GAF's website and found a couple other local certified installers through GAF's directory whose estimates came in for half the cost of what Dabella wanted.

Ultimately, we settled with R1 and they did a superb job. In fact, they went the extra mile after finding some unexpected damage to our original deck and ended up installing all new decking at no extra cost. They didn't have to do that but they did. They had everything done in a day and a half and we've since had some major rainstorms since the new roof was installed this past summer and there have been no leaks. The installation looks great, and they did great with their clean up.

We got a great warranty from GAF through them with all the GAF products used and we now have much greater piece of mind knowing our roof is top quality for a long time to come. I definitely recommend including these guys among people you call to get estimates from.

First of all, Miguel and his crew were super professional, courteous and highly informational. The one thing I appreciated the most was the education on my roof because I had no idea of the detail of things that goes into installing/repairing a roof. When R1 supplied the bid, it was accurate to the discussion I had with Miguel. He was highly informative and I deeply appreciated it.

Second, they were FAST! After I accepted the bid and paid the down payment, they were ready to go in less than a week and I had to push them out just to get in line with my own schedule Once they were here, they finished the job a day early even.

Finally, I do not have anything negative to say with a small exception. There were some debris left on the roof, but nothing that was too upsetting. It was a long, hot day the day and I cannot blame them for leaving some nails and cuts behind. THAT IS IT!

I highly, HIGHLY recommend R1 roofing for your roofing needs. If and when I need other outdoor work done on our home, I will be definitely calling them first!

They were very helpful in giving me several options after inspecting the roof, after I picked what I wanted they were very prompt and got started the next week. When I was having trouble with my insurance company Miguel talked to my insurance adjuster, to explain the situation better. Their work is flawless, it’s just lovely! Took them two days to replace my entire roof, and clean up any debris. They were efficient, effective, and considerate! I Absolutely recommend them!

My roof was replaced and some repairs were made to my gutters. Everything looks great and the mess all cleaned up.

We decided to reroof our detached garage. Got a few bids, 1 outrages. Decided to go with R1. Luis was awesome to work with came out day I called and had a bid the next morning. The roof turned out amazing! In and out within a day. No debre left behind. Don't hesitate give R1 a call for all your roofing needs!

I was amazed at the professional way our entire experience was start to finish. Miguel came and inspected the roof, asked what we were looking for and outlined what they could do, the benefits of the GAF materials they used and gave us a written bid. I had 5 bids total, theirs wasn't the highest or the lowest, but I was impressed by Miguel's ability to outline what I already knew I needed and suggested some alternatives I hadn't thought of. The bid was reasonable and thorough.

I have solar panels which can be expensive to remove and reinstall.
My solar provider wanted more than half of what the new roof would cost to do the work. I called Miguel and he was able to find us a reasonable installer who would do the work for a reasonable price.

On the day of install, their crew showed up, the solar installers showed up the uninstalled the panels, the roofer tore off the roof and gutters and installed the new roof ... in the same day. The solar panels were reinstalled the next morning so I only missed a single day of solar output.

While the roof was going on Miguel was there to answer questions and talk through what were we were and address questions I had.

I recommend R1 Roofing to anyone who needs their roof replaced. Their work was extremely fast. They went out of their way to make sure I had what I wanted and needed. They even took their time to help me find a reasonable solar installer ... something none of the other 4 bidders would even offer to do. If I could give them a 6 star rating I would.

Very responsive with communication. They provided updates on when supplies would be available. And ultimately did a great job with our roof!

Had a 30 year roof replaced. Required stripping the old roofing off and replacing most of the plywood. The whole job took 2 days including new gutters. The whole crew was polite and professional. I would and will recommend R1 Roofing to my friends and family.

We needed to have our roof redone. Part of the the roof was rotted. We had several bids done and then decided to go with R1 Roofing. We are so glad we went with them. Miguel was great to work with us. His crew was professional and efficient. The communication with us was excellent. We settled on a reasonable price, chose the tiles, and then they were able to remove two layers of tiles on one day. The next day all the new tiles were laid. They did a super job with cleaning up the entire area. We would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.
