Jose and his team are incredible. We had a ceiling leak appear and he arrived promptly, diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and provided helpful recommendations to avoid the issue in the future. Truly the best customer service experience I’ve had in the area, I could not recommend R&G more.

I was thoroughly satisfied with the work Jose and his experienced team did on my house in Maplewood and recommend his company wholeheartedly. From the start, I found Jose's understanding of and solutions for my issues (related to venting, an old roof fan, existing insulation, gutter screens, and waterproofing for possible future solar panels) were better than the three other contractors I also spoke to. With a 100-year old house, I needed a complete removal of one layer of the original cedar shakes and two layers of roof shingles, then plywood applied along with new asphalt shingles. This required three days and created a large amount of debris. I was pleasantly suprised at the protection provided by tarps to the plantings surrounding the house and the level of cleanup each day. The materials used were excellent as was the workmanship. Working with Jose, who oversaw the work several times each day, was a pleasure. Finally, R and G's charges were competitive with the other bids solicited.

R&G are true professionals. I used them for my roof thirteen years ago and decided to go with them again for my gutters. They showed up promptly and were very courteous. I must say their team delivered on every scale. I loved the end finish and would be proud to recommend them. Kudos guys. Way to go Jose, Marcus and the entire customer service staff!

Some shingles on our roof came loose. Luckily we had replacement shingles and R&G promptly came over and did the necessary repairs at a reasonable price. R&G has done work for us previously and Jose and his crew always do a good job.

Red Group (R&G) Did a great job putting a new roof on my house. Jose the site manager for this job and his crew arrived on time at the scheduled start time and completed the job early. My roof was extremely old, some places had rotten wood that they replaced for a nominal additional fee. They cleaned out the clogged gutters that had not been cleaned in over 20 years. Water is flowing freely now.
They cleaned up all of the debris and hauled everything away.

R&G kept me informed completely throughout the process daily. Office manager Tyla H updated me daily with any changes and or information via email and landline. She answered all of my questions and concerns professionally and courteously.

This is the second time we have used R&G. Twenty years ago they replaced our roof and at the time they did a great job. When recently we found we needed a new roof we called R&G back. Found the same family running the business with many of the same workers. We did get other quotes for comparison and their price was fair and competitive. They came when they said they would; did the job (house and garage) in two days; did a thorough job of cleaning all debris from our property and our neighbors’. They are friendly and just a great business to work with. I highly recommend them.

R&G Roofing is the real deal. They came recommended by a list of about 8 of our neighbors - as THE roofing company to use to re-shingle our home in Maplewood. They also removed a non-functional skylight, sealing the opening on the outside and refinishing the ceiling on the inside. I swear you'd never even know it was ever there. Seamless repair work.

We have an old house with built-in gutters and a Victorian roofline -- dormer, towers, etc. The gutters were rotting, making everything a bit more complicated -- R and G did a fantastic job replacing them. R&G did my roof nearly two decades ago for the previous owner of my house. When a recent extreme wind weather event loosened a fascia board - I found the old invoice - called - and they came out the next day to repair. No charge. I live in Glen Ridge; they did an excellent job. They mobilized quickly, cleaned up my yard after they were done, and even fixed a couple of the broken gutters while they were up there. My house also had a weird flat roof that they took care of. Best of all, they said it would take five days and they got it done in four and a half.

The owner of the company did a really good job of explaining what they were doing and why.

Their pricing was solid too. They came in the middle of the three bids that I received. You get what you pay for.

We just got our roof replaced by R&G Roofing this week from Tuesday to Friday. Right from the start when we were comparison shopping, they were the best when it came to customer service, their quick response time, fine attention to detail and their courteous and respectful behavior in dealing with us. We were impressed with their quick turnaround time in giving us a competitive quote after Marcos did a thorough inspection of our roof and showing us pictures. It was a 22 year old roof and it was showing its age and wear and tear, and we appreciated that they did not try to oversell themselves or any extra or unnecessary things we did not need. They suggested many improvements which we agreed upon before signing the contract with a deposit. Luckily the weather cooperated this week while they worked. Jose came a few days earlier to explain how it would go and dropped off the material in our driveway. He and his efficient team of workers were punctual - they would arrive at 6.30am on the dot, sometimes even earlier to set up, begin work promptly at 7am and work all day till 5pm with only short breaks for lunch etc. They were sincere and hardworking and did not shirk anything that seemed difficult. Always pleasant, polite and respectful, they would clean up each day after the day's work before they left - the leaves, the debris, nails and anything else and cart it away. Other than the noise, which one can obviously not avoid, I did not feel their presence as obtrusive in any way. Jose would explain to us every time he encountered a problem, and give us a summary of the work done at the end of the work day. All in all, we are extremely happy with their work quality, their work ethic and their professionalism and would highly recommend R&G Roofing to any homeowner for any roofing job - big or small. Five stars!

Jose’s team from R&G has helped us for over 18 years— on several occasions—installing our new roof when we first bought our house, repairing our garage’s roof (frame too) when a huge branch clobbered it, and fixing a hole where squirrels had made it into our attic. They were very professional, timely, informative, and very patient with the process of her trying to get her solar panels temporarily removed. I myself was also involved in the estimate process and got to meet and speak with owner who did the site survey and he was great. The estimate was fairly priced and thorough.

Jose & Marcos run a courteous and professional operation that has served my family well over the years. Most recently, they diagnosed a very troublesome leak in our roof, returning several times over a month and a half to pinpoint the problem whenever it rained. And that was all before they secured our business. Once we signed the contract, the repaired roof section was installed without delay and finished in a day. An electrical problem resulted from their work, and they returned with their own electrician without question and fixed the problem. All with a smile. Great guys.
