I recently had the framing work done by Quality Building Supply for our barndominium project. The framing was completed adequately; however, overall, I would rate the work as “okay”—nothing exceptional but acceptable. Unfortunately, we experienced several issues that have impacted our satisfaction. They delivered and installed white garage doors without verifying our color choice, despite us explicitly requesting brown doors. Their proposed solution is to charge us an additional $2,300 to replace them with the correct color, which seems unreasonable given the initial miscommunication.Additionally, one of the windows they installed is missing a latch. We’ve been waiting for a month for someone to come and fix it, but despite reaching out multiple times, no one has come to address the issue. Keep in mind they have their money so they are in no rush to help us. The miscommunication appears to stem from having to talk to multiple people to get any sort of response, which has been frustrating. Overall, while some aspects of their work were acceptable, the lack of clear communication and the ongoing issues have left us disappointed.

The team at quality put together the perfect barn package for my hay farm needs at a price that was unmatched by others. Materials arrived fast and although there were a few things missing, one call and they got it right out to me which is hard to find these days! Great folks that I will certainly be doing business with again!

Looks good. But I’ve tried multiple times to get in touch with QBS. Both locations. It’s like pulling teeth. Ladies that answer the phones have no clue what’s going on and just say someone will call you. Ran that train for almost three weeks. Their competitor summertown, weather better or not, took three days to get us hooked up with what we needed.

I’ll never know if QBS is any good or not since they don’t call back.

Entire process from start to finish was extremely smooth, esp since i live out of state. Our post frame building that we are turning into a barndo is great quality and the all black finish was perfect. Austin W was our builder and went above and beyond. QBS did a great job with our custom home! We have done business with them since they were Quality Metals, and the service has always been great. The construction team they used for our home build (Lee Brothers Construction) was fantastic! Once the slab was cured, it took only a week to get our home dried in. Great service from beginning to end.

Super impressed with my build, went with a 30x40 with a 12 foot shed. The service and communication was top notch, we had a little hiccup with my windows because I went with custom windows to match my house but that was easily fixed with no delay on completion. They kept and maintained a clean worksite and the quality of build was as good as you can ask for. Thank you QBS for a great experience and for working with me. I have told at least 3 people you all when asking who to have build a shop.

I have used them twice. In 2018 I was very pleased. In 2023 it was a nightmare. They tried to substitute cheaper materials than we had in the contract, builders were arguing with management on how it should be built, first wall ended up falling over and had to be restarted. Very sad on where this company has went with new generation running it. In the end they fixed the issues but it was not worth the hassles.

We had a great experience with QBS, we originally went in office to sign for a 1200 square foot home but ultimately went with a 2000. We were able to get more square footage for the price due to the salesman (Jameson) working with us and figuring out how to keep it within our budget.
Once they got to the frame work, it was done in 2 days!! 2 days! The metal took about a week due to rain. They don’t lie when they say they’ll have it built within 2 weeks , once the pad is ready!
We did have an issue with the staining and sealing of the concrete, due to the extreme heat the sealer did not cooperate. They are coming back out to reseal once drywall is finished. Which is another great thing about them. They stick to their word and are a great company to choose for your build.
And just when we thought the team at QBS couldn’t get better, they sent us the nicest Thank You Gift.
So thank you QBS, and we will forever recommend you for anyone in the future who is looking to build their forever home!

Our family has been building for 60+ years and there’s no where better to get good wood and metal for our buildings. The friendliest people and they keep their word.

We are using QBS for our home construction. We live in NC so we are out of their building area but we did a kit with them. Dave was our salesman. Dave has great customer service, always prompt to reply to emails and phone calls. He helped arrange our meeting with the designer Jobe and John the engineer. He made the process so easy! He sent us samples of the metal siding we wanted to see as well as a few he thought we would like too.

We placed our kit order on 4/5. Our trusses was delivered 5/10 and our kit on 5/14 so 5 weeks later which is incredible. The delivery drivers for the trusses and kit were so friendly and great at what they do. The truss driver and the kit driver all made contact with us the day prior and the day of delivery. Ed delivered our trusses. He was very professional and did a great job. Cody and “Donkey” delivered our kit a few days later. They make a great team. They kept us updated on their estimated arrival time because we are about 7 hours away from them. They unloaded everything, sat it where we wanted it, covered it in plastic, and covered our doors and windows to keep the rain off.

Everything you need for exterior and interior framing/dry in is included. The quality of the materials is excellent. We are so happy we found, and chose Quality Building Supply for our home.

Great crew! I ordered a pretty simple 24x24 and it took them 1 work day to build it from the ground up! I got to choose the color which turned out so beautiful and the price was WELL under what other contractors had quoted me. I would recommend Quality Building Supply to anyone needing a beautiful, quality structure.

Working with QBS was great, from getting drawings to scheduling each step of the building process!! We plan to use them again for the next building.

Jeff and his team are such amazing people! We absolutely love our home, the process was smooth and the time line from start to finish was only a few months. I can't say enough good things about Quality Building Supply. We first had them out a few years ago to build my shop. They did a great job and the build was quick. After seeing the quality of work they did, my dad had them build a shop for himself.

For us it was an easy choice on who we would have build our home when the time came and QBS knocked it out of the park for us a 3rd time! Now, building a custom home is a lot different than building a shop, we had a few setbacks with weather and delivery schedules but that was where we really saw Jeff and his crew shine. They took every setback in stride and made sure that we were happy every step of the way. I felt sorry for some of the the difficult weather these guys had to contend with to get our job done but I never heard a complaint from anyone on the crews.

For anyone looking to have a structure built in their service area, don't overlook these guys! They are excellent. Thanks again for helping us build our dreams!

QBS took our custom home plans that we designed and paid a private company to draw up and shared them to their social media platforms selling our exact house inside and out. On top of that they took photos of our home under false pretenses and shared the pictures of our private residence without our consent! When we contacted them about resolving the issue they did not reach back out, adequately apologize, or take any responsibility for their wrongdoing. They obviously only care about making a dime and not about the privacy or rights of their clients.

We have really enjoyed working with Jeff and Derek at Quality. They have been very professional and helpful. Their facility is top notch and they went out of their way several times to answer any questions we had during the duration of our build. We plan to use them again on future projects.

Update Jan 2025….. Buyer Beware!!! Getting a blueprint drawn up for our house went fine. Ordering the materials went fine. But when it came time for QBS to deliver the materials, it was a total train wreck. They told us the materials would be delivered on Monday. The truck showed up @2pm, so I called the 16 man framing crew and told them the material was on my property, and they could start Wednesday. 2 hours later, i noticed they had unloaded everything, but there were no trusses. The Driver couldn’t tell me anything, so I called Dave at the Lobelville office. He couldn’t tell me when the trusses would be there, but still wanted payment in full. After a much heated argument, we agreed I would pay, minus the cost of the trusses. I then had to call the framing crew and tell them to cancel Wednesday .Tuesday, I called David @1pm, and asked if he knew when the trusses would be delivered? He did not. Thursday, he called me and said the trusses would arrive Sunday. They did, and the framing crew came Tuesday, but a couple of hours into working, they said we were short lumber.(40 2x4 20 ft, 20 2x6 20 ft, 8 8x8 16 ft, and 6 6x6 12 ft) I’m 7 hours away from Lobelville, but luckily they had a location 2 hours away from me in Harrison that was scheduled to open in 2 weeks. They had what I needed, but I would have to go pick up the lumber. 30 minutes into my drive to Harrison, I called, and talked to “ James.” I told him I just have an Avalanche and a 14 ft trailer. I said I would get the big beams, and make a second trip. He told me to go back home, and he would deliver the materials. James was a life-saver!!!! The material showed up, and the workers completed the work. Except, we were still short the sliding patio door for the rear patio. James delivered that a few days later. Now, the problem with the patio door is that you can’t completely open or close the door with the handles provided. I contacted the door manufacturer, and sent him a picture of the handle I needed, which wasn’t provided. I even sent him a picture of the handle I needed, from the enclosed instructions. The manufacturer answered me back, and said I have the correct handles, and he didn’t know where I got the picture of the other type handle. I told him….” In the same bag the handles and hardware were in!!! So, it seems the window manufacturer is exactly the same as QBS. Once they get your money, any problems, are exactly that, YOUR PROBLEM. Twice, I have left messages for the owner of QBS to contact me, but he hasn’t. The quality of the materials is excellent, but getting them all delivered I’d a nightmare. So, for quality of the materials, I give it an A+. For communication and help with solving any problems, they get a solid D. And as for following up and making sure the customer is satisfied, they get a solid F!!!

So far, we are 100% satisfied with Quality Building Supply. We found a mobile home floor plan we liked. We made some room changes to the plan, and had Quality draw us up a floor plan if the house we want. We are just waiting for the Soring rains to be over, then we will start the build. The prices have been reasonable for what we want.

UPDATE!!!! We are ready to build, using the plans that Joey drew up for us, but we have hit a snag. The contract showed white windows, and we wanted Black. I contacted David, and he was going to charge us an extra $2400 to change 7 windows to black. I think that is way too much, so we are currently looking at another supplier.

Overall great experience! Great communication by all! Dave was a pleasure to work with!! The building contractor Mark was great to work with as well! All the workers were friendly, and prompt. Would highly recommend!

Don’t use!!! They didn’t even attach my foundation to my crawl! It’s been 2 years and I’m still fixing their mess. Water leaks, crooked windows, crooked doors that don’t shut! When asked to come fix it, they came and made it worse because they were upset I wanted it fixed. Trust me when I say, you do not want this builder!! One star is too many for this shady group!!

I inquired into on a recent project posted on Facebook Dave Esh reached out quickly and provided me very detailed information of the build. The experience left me very satisfied. I’m looking at possibly building a barndo in a year or to and will definitely consider Quality Building Supply for an estimate.

Beware to anyone thinking of having QBS Build for you. They will lead you to believe they are the General contractor and that they will see out the completion of your building from beginning to end. The truth is QBS has no contractors license they will play you all along the way making promises they don’t keep and lying to you over and over to make you believe they know what they are doing. After receiving nearly 170k from me and paying QBS’S hired non licensed contractor nearly 30k QBS walked off the job leaving the building exposed and structurally dangerous to be in. Even after hiring two different licensed engineers they refused to correct the numerous issues QBS created. It has been nearly 3 months and they have yet to make even an attempt to rectify this nightmare they have caused me. Even after receiving letters from my lawyer giving they ample opportunity to correct the issues or to have them reimburse me so I could have a licensed company come to fix it Jeffery Miller has still chosen to not do the right thing. This message is for anyone out there trying to make a decision on who to use to build there home for them they will come in cheaper than the rest and that’s why I chose them but the workmanship and integrity of the people running it will wear you to the point of giving up. During the 3 months they worked on my building I spent over a hundred hours of my time trying to deal with all the screw ups along the way. All of this while trying to run 2 businesses, take care of 2 kids, and living in a camper while our new house was being built. Here we are more than 6 months later and not only is my building is sitting leaking water through the roof, wall metal missing all over and in jeopardy of blowing over. They have completely trashed my entire yard left loose metal old wood and nails everywhere. Please do your research before making a such a poor decision like I have.

Quality just built our 30 X 60 pole barn. We had a very positive experience with Dave and the cement and building contractors. We would most definitely use them again in the future.

Dennis sales guy from inside helped me out a lot, very kind and I loved working with this man, then the driver from New York brandon did a wonderful job in delivering our material and then took the time out to advice us on some more wood I need for my house, very helpful and will definitely keep doing businesswith them in future!

Great place for building materials. Ask for Dennis to give you a quote for any kind of building materials. He's honest and brings good customer service and knowledge from past experience as a builder.

Mostly, everything ran smoothly. One of my items wasn't in stock, so I will have to return to pick it up. Once we left the sales office and went to the yard for pick up, there was some disconnect between sales and yard. But, they were all very willing to help work out the kinks and we are very pleased with our purchase. But I also want to point out that we were there during a very busy time, so that probably contributed to the disconnect. We will definitely continue to shop there.

Quality work with a reasonable price. They paid much attention to the details and went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. Easy to deal with and no extra charges at the end of the job. I have dealt with alot of contractors over the years and I can say these guys are a cut above your average builder. True craftsman in their trade! Highly recommend. They built a 40x60 for us. They were on time, on budget, and happy to accommodate slight changes that were made along the way. I would definitely recommend these gentlemen for your barn project.
