PVSquared was great from start to finish with our solar project. They were always available for questions, very professional and did a great job on the installation. We are mostly electric now with an induction stove, hybrid hot water heater and now an electric vehicle! I would highly recommend them for your solar system. PV Squared was a great pleasure to work with back in 2019-2020 when they installed solar panels on the south-facing roof of our house. But our recent interactions with them were even more helpful, pleasant and gratifying, as we needed to put together detailed records regarding that purchase and installation to satisfy the buyers, and the bank providing their mortgage, about the high quality and reliability of the work and the resulting solar performance since the installation. We are very appreciative of their continuing help and support.

I had a phone conversation with a specialist from PV Squared yesterday for the purpose of finding out what's involved with adding a battery to my solar project, which PV Squared installed for the previous owner of my house. Daniel Berry spent the better part of an hour helping me understand my electricity usage, what a battery would (and would not) contribute to the set up, what the available state and federal incentives are, and lots more.

I asked him many questions, all of which he answered clearly and thoroughly. He did not try to sell me anything, just helped me understand what would enable me to get the most out of my system. He explained the current technology and gave me his informed expectations of where the technology is headed. I very much appreciated his patience and his thorough grasp of the technology--and his ability to explain things clearly.

PC2 installed my solar system last May. The entire process from my initial quote through system turn on was fantastic! My quote and the accompanying presentation surpassed any other competitors' presentations. I was able to replicate their payback worksheets and received answers to my questions promptly. Once onsite, every member of the team was extremely professional. Since go-live I have accumulated a large electricity credit, and couldn't be happier. I've referred three friends to PV2 so far, and will continue to do so. It's a pleasure to support a great employee owned company.

PV Squared installed a large roof mount PV system on my farm. They did an amazing job from the initial meeting through completion of the project. After the site visit, I was presented with several options. The sales and design team worked with us through a few iterations, dealing with the eccentricities of multiple very old structures, limitations on the grid side, and some complications with an agricultural grant. They were very patient with us as we settled on the right plan. Signing the contracts and arranging financing through one of their recommended partners was very easy. The installation team was friendly and professional and completed their work flawlessly right on time. The system has been in operation for 3 months now and has worked exactly as expected. I would absolutely use PV Squared again. I really appreciate their worker-owned business model and the patient nature of the sales team, especially when compared to the many unsolicited visits by pushy salespeople from the big name solar companies.

PV Squared was phenomenal from start to finish....It began with the survey team checking out the roof and letting us know about flaws in the roof itself, 10 years into a 40 year warranty. That was the start of a long delay, nothing having to do with PV2 but with getting our roof replaced. That was finally done after a few months and everything from that point on was extremely smooth. The work crew, the office crew and the planning crew were all very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They had the answer to all of my questions....of which there were many. Nothing could have made the experience any better. Thank you PV2.

It was a wonderful experience and everyone was helpful and willing to answer any and all my questions from day one and even after installation. They explained everything from costs to what to expect etc in a understandable way and were willing to go that extra mile to make sure I understood everything. The installaton was quick, done in the time frame stated and the crew was very nice and friendly too boot. They go that extra mile because they care about doing wonderful work. Which is a rareity these days. I would highly recomend PV Squared for their excellent work.

This was the most seamless home improvement project I have ever been part of as a consumer. PV Squared takes their time to explain everything. They leave nothing out. And there is practically nothing the consumer has to do, as the entire administrative process is electronic for payment, meetings and documents. 100% happy with the project and the results....3 months of $0 energy bills with credits for future bills since June.

PV Squared was a complete delight to work with. I contacted them a bit after we'd bought our current house, and the sales person I talked to told me that he wanted me to wait to buy solar. I told him I hadn't run into that kind of sales tactic yet!

His thought was that we should be in our house a bit longer, make sure we knew what our real need for electric would be. That would make it more likely that we'd be able to get the right size solar installation when we did it, and not have to go back for more a bit later.

When we did the install, they were amazing. They came in, did the job, explained what I needed to know, and got done and out. No news is great news when doing home improvement work, and this is the least drama around a major improvement I've experienced.

Bottom line is, these folks care greatly about doing a good job and setting up their customers with the right power solution for their lives. I had a great experience, and recommend them to everyone I can.

We felt great from the get-go entrusting our solar project to PV2 because we loved that they were a super local, worker owned organization. Our house turned out to be… complicated… with a bunch of unexpected issues to do with our electric service, but we were always in touch with our project manager Jeannine who kept us up-to-date. On install day it was snowing pretty hard. I was amazed that the install team clambered up on our roof in the snow like it was a walk in the park! Some more wrinkles showed up later when our panels weren’t immediately performing as expected, but again the team was on top of it immediately and showed up to check all the connections and get everything working.

I’ve learned that going solar is always a bit of a complicated process, but so worth doing for the planet and your pocket. Really glad we went with PV2 and highly recommend them as your guide and partner along the way!

If you are looking for a top-notch company to install your solar system, this is it! Every detail was explained, and each step was understood and completed efficiently. We never had to worry about permitting, authorization from the Utility, or what comes next. The employees were polite, respectful of property, and always willing to explain what they were doing. Our home is mid 1800's vintage and not easily adaptable to modern technology, but they did it. We are completely satisfied and highly recommend this organization.

I had an initial phone consultation and a member of their staff came out for a site visit. I had to be home for the visit but all they did was look at the electric box before going outside for pictures (I could have sent a picture of the box and not taken time off work for the appointment). They seemed positive and friendly when I met with them, but I never received a proposal or follow-up after the site visit. We chose to go ahead with Valley Solar and had excellent communication from Valley throughout the entire installation and activation process.

EDIT: after posting this review I was contacted by PV Squared staff offering an apology and an explanation of how my consultation fell through the cracks.

My original solar installer had gone out of business and with the recent upgrades my 3G modem was becoming obsolete and I needed an upgrade. I looked around for a company that was local to my Fitchburg location and after reading reviews, I decided on PV Squared Solar and I'm glad I did. My contact was Seth, who was polite, cordial and responsive. I sent pictures of my original installation and he was able to order the correct parts for my upgrade. Within 2 weeks he called and arranged my install which was scheduled in a few days. Two technicians arrived promptly at the time I was told and they both proceeded to install my upgrade, one working outside, the other inside like a team and my system was upgraded in a quick and very professional manner. I'm VERY happy with my service and would definitely recommend them highly!

So grateful to have worked with PVSquared to get us benefitting from our solar array. The customer service was spectacular and the solar looks great on our roof! Install team was efficient, even with our super high roof!

PV Squared installed our solar array just over a year ago. We were initially drawn to this installer because of its reputation as a worker-owned cooperative, a model that we believe serves workers and customer alike. They did not disappoint! The installation process was seamless and we've not had a single issue with the system (nor have we paid an electric bill!) since it was installed. Would highly recommend PV Squared to anyone interested in converting to solar energy!

A rep. from PV Squared Solar helped us to determine if our property was a good candidate for a solar system. At no point did I feel any pressure to decide to buy a system. The team used a drone to evaluate the property as well as the age of the roof and advised us that the cost of the system would not make sense for the investment and return of KHs it could generate. Overall it was an excellent experience. At the same time, another company came to our house and pitched us on a solar lease, and they were very high-pressure. I can say, I would ONLY trust the people at PV Squared.

I've had a PV Squared 18-panel solar system on my roof for about 7.5 years now, and couldn't be more pleased. Production is consistently on track with or above what was estimated, and we have a negative (!!!) monthly electric bill, allowing us to save up credits for when we get an electric car. There have been no issues since installation, and the installation itself was professional, timely, and marked by solid communication. And I so appreciate knowing that my local dollars went to a worker-owned cooperative right here in town.

PV Squared installed our solar project 5 years ago and we have not had a single electricity bill since it came into operation. Our sales consultant was thorough, super experienced, informative, and patient. We were pleasantly surprised to hear that nobody at PV Squared works on a commission basis. We had a pv Squared install our solar panels about five years ago. They have worked great. PV Squared estimated just the right amount of panels we would need to meet our requirements for mini splits and General Electric usage. What has impressed me most was their customer service. Over these five years I have had questions on several occasions. In each instance they responded quickly and thoroughly. Most recently I was considering getting battery storage. They again gave me thorough responses to each of my questions and convinced me that it was not in our best interest to get solar storage batteries in our case even though they obviously would have made money if we had gotten them. I recommend them highly.

Working with PV Squared was a pleasure from beginning to end. From our initial contact through completion of installation everyone was professional. I would recommend them to anyone.

When we decided to go solar we got 7 different quotes from 7 different companies. PV Squared was middle of the pack as far as price per watt. So they weren’t the cheapest but right away they were a clear standout in a few different ways.

First off they were the only company to come out and do a site visit before giving us a quote. They measured the roof in order to maximize the size of the array and they checked our existing electrical infrastructure to make sure it was compatible. They took pictures of the nearby trees to give us a more accurate idea of potential solar production.
When we received their quote they didn’t simply email it over. The project designer took a full hour going over everything in the estimate, explaining why and how everything works. This was far and away the most comprehensive estimate we received, 15 pages vs 2 or 3 from everyone else.

They were the last quote we received and we were so impressed we decided to go with them that night. So glad we did! Everyone we worked with, from the sales person to the designer to the project manager to the install crew was a pleasure to work with. Everyone was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The install crew did a great job. I’m a plumber so working in the trades I can tell when someone takes pride in their work and knows what they’re doing. Top notch work for sure.

Lastly I love the fact that they are a worker owned cooperative, it was like the icing on the cake. It really shows that everyone is happy to be there and proud of the company they have ownership in. I would not hesitate a second to recommend PV Squared for your next solar project.

I love my PV Squared solar system, including the addition of a Tessla Power Wall battery backup unit. It kept me going earlier this year when most of my town lost service. It’s a beautiful thing!

They walked us through the process so we understood everything from the beginning and feel good about them being there for us into the future. Simone, our project manager is as knowledgeable as she is patient as we learned what we need to know about our system. Emily, who did the roof work, including carrying the panels up the ladder and putting everything into place is nothing less than impressive. I usually dread big projects like this (solar, trenching, electrical) because of the hassle of it all.
But, PV Squared Solar was extremely professional, organized, friendly and easy to deal with.
I was very impressed with their communication every step of the way. They stayed on top of all of the various projects and never failed to keep me informed.

Up until today I would have told you PV2 was one of the best around. I have recommended them to others and they have bought a solar system based on the satisfaction we have enjoyed with ours, from start to finish. Not so with the failed addition of a Tesla battery. From the incompetence of the initial battery install contract, to their non communication over the very long wait for the battery, not being able to provide the battery, to trying to either back out of the contract or add an additional $9,500 to the initial cost. Not up to par in any way. Extremely frustrating and anger provoking.

AAA+++ customer rating for these folks! They did a fabulous job on our home and we have been reaping the benefits of solar power from Day One. These people are professional, knowledgeable, prompt and a pleasure to deal with. They did such a great job even the utility Rep. who inspected their work (as mandated...) said they had done THE BEST JOB he had even seen on a home installation. I highly recommend this company.

PV Squared is worker-owned which means that each worker is invested in making the enterprise work. They care. They've been at it for nearly 20 years so they know what they're doing. The staff is professional, proficient and pleasant.

PV Squared did our first installation 18 years ago. When the panels, still under warranty, started to become less efficient two years ago, they worked with Panasonic to replace them free of charge. While the PV Squared installation wasn't cheap, but the PV Squared crew is the best!

We chose PV Squared to install 16kWh on our barn roof, and they did an excellent job. The process was easy, and everyone from PV Squared was helpful -- the one who came to survey our property and give an estimate, the workers who installed the system, the office people, the office and paperwork people. We couldn't be more pleased with the result, we love the system. It's been about 2 years now, and we've had no problems at all with the system, and will rely on them again if we ever expand to get more panels. We highly recommend PV2.

We did get quotes and speak with several other installers. PV2 was not the single cheapest quote, but their price was very competitive and they answered our very detailed questions much better than any others, so we trusted they would do a good job. We also liked that PV2 is a local co-op with a lot of experience over many years. I have a relative who works in the solar business who helped me vet the different companies, and my relative also strongly recommended PV2 over the other companies we were talking with.

Even if you decide to go with a different company, solar is great, and you won't regret it. It's good for the environment, and good for your own finances. Our system has FULLY paid for itself after about 18 months. We got the low-interest Mass-Save solar loans plus rebates available in Massachusetts. But with the money we have saved on our electric bill, and the monthly checks we get for net-metering, we were able to fully pay off our loan very quickly, and now it's just pure savings. Our only regret is not getting a bigger system.

Communication with them was consistently good. They helped us design the best array for our site, the construction went smoothly, and they supported us on into the phase after they were done. PV Squared was fantastic to work with. They responded to every question and were completely responsive throughout the entire application, design and installation process. Their recommendations for size of system and estimated payback analysis were right on target. Every staff member we interacted with was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. We have not paid an electric bill since installing the system and have a large credit balance despite using the system to power up air source heat pumps which provide most of our heating and cooling. This now allows us the option of purchasing an electric vehicle which will be run by the sun. Best of all, we are preserving the climate for future generations and supporting a socially responsible worker owned cooperative. Going with PV Squared is a win win choice!

We had a fantastic experience with PV Squared. They were professional, helpful, and pleasant to work with. We are really happy with our solar panels. Our only issues came with the metering and measurement, as we have two meters in our home and ended up having trouble getting proper credits with the utility. PV Squared helped us figure out what the problem was and what to do about it, and helped with other things like SRECs. They care about customer service, and hopefully others will use them!

I went solar with PVSquared in 2010 and the experience was phenomenal. We were undertaking an extensive renovation and PVSquared worked collaboratively with the other construction teams to ensure a timely and aesthetically beautiful installation. The system has produced clean energy for us (more than they even predicted!) over the last 9 years with not a single issue that required our time or attention. I could not be happier. PVSquared installed our solar panels in February of 2018, We chose them because they were the most knowledgeable and thorough company we interviewed. We had a inverter fail about 6 months after install that they promptly replaced. We were impressed with the service from begining to end.

PV2 installed my rooftop solar panels at the end of 2014. I chose them because I wanted a local company to install my solar system, they were highly recommended by people who had worked with them, and their representative was knowledgeable and easy to work with. The installation process went smoothly and I haven't had any problems with the panels in the last 4 years. I highly recommend them. In fact, I'm waiting for solar batteries to become sufficiently efficient and economical to have PV2 install them.

PV Squared was very easy to work with. They were not the cheapest of the installers I got quotes from, but they instilled the most confidence and offered the best panels. They did everything on time, were very conscientious about keeping things clean inside and out, and always took the time to answer the many questions I had about solar energy and the installation process. I have had my system for almost a year and it is performing beautifully. I highly recommend them!

PV2 installed a system for us about two years ago and everything went perfectly fine. Very impressed with their workmanship and the quality of the product. In fact, we're having them do a second installation now.

PV2 has installed a total of 25 kw at our business since 2006 and we have been very happy with their installation and subsequent follow up. They quoted us the cost for each of the two phases of the installation and they came in right on budget. They also took the aesthetics of the installations into account so they look good and the wiring and electric panels are neat and compact. They also helped us fill out the forms to qualify for the grants and tax credits which went through smoothly.
