This company replaced my shingles and windows in early 2020 and I was very happy with the work. But later when I reached out about some door replacement I had to call 4 times to get a response. Then, when Mike G finally got back in touch he promised a quote. When I still didn't hear, I called again and he said he was waiting one more piece of information and would come back to me in a few days. But I never heard back. They started out very well, but at the end of the day, we're not very resonator.

I am so glad I selected Professional Home Services. Mike and his crew conduct themselves in a professional manner from beginning to the end. They really know their stuff when it comes to roofing and other home repairs. After replacing my roof almost a year later I had another issue, my gutter fell due to a snow storm. I called Mike and he was there to help in no time.

Mike was hired to install new windows and vinyl soffit. He and Team proved to be expert, high quality, and fair priced. They have over 20 yrs experience and are local and family owned. When you want the job done right, at a fair price, with a company you can trust; call Mike !

I had my roof replaced, gutters replaced (with guards), and had some soffit repair by PHS. I was looking for a company that could do all three, and allowed me not to try to get various companies contracted for the 3 separate jobs. I had a number of estimates done. Mike (the owner) was my first estimate. I immediately had a good vibe with Mike, and overall, he's a straight-shooter, that's not going to try to sell you anything you don't need, and he'll work with you budget. He also encouraged me to get other estimates as well.

Another thing I liked about Mike, was he gave me a complete estimate, on the spot, and left me to think about it. He was always open to my questions, and I texted/emailed him over a 3-4 week period with various questions. He never put the hard sell on me or called to pester me.

When I finally decided to do the job, he came back to the house to write up the contract. He explained everything and was very patient with me. I liked the fact that Mike respected the amount of money I was laying down, and he maintained the importance of the job he was doing.

On a side note, Mike also took the time to walk down to my neighbor's house and to point out things to me in other homes that helped me understand the job he was able to do.

Mike was able to start the job that following week and had it done by week's end. Mike was also flexible and didn't nickel and dime me for extra work like painting a small patch or wood here and there. He also sent a worker out to fix a small detail in my home that we discovered in our final walk around of my house after the job.

Mike also gave me a follow up call and text to see how things were with the roof and how the gutters were performing. That's exceptional customer service, and to reiterate my previous statement, Mike's a straight-shooter. Nothing hidden or nothing he stated was false or exaggerated.

Lastly, Mike's estimate was actually the lowest of the four that I received. Some of these companies were looking to charge me anywhere from 12Gs to 20Gs for the three components of my job (roof replacement, gutters with guards replacement, and soffit repair. The price quoted was by far the best quoted, and let me tell you after dealing with a family member who screwed me out of alot of money fifteen years ago I was skeptical to deal with anyone, so I got about 15 different quotes. I will start by saying Mike was great to deal with, explained everything, and reassured my wife and I on everything. Mike’s entire team was a pleasure to deal with and were very professional. Mike started the job earlier than stated, and went above and beyond to keep in contact, explain things during process, provide pictures during the phases when we could not be available on site, move quickly on any concerns, and just go above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied. We just completed an engagement with Professional Home Services at our home in Glen Allen, VA. This was one of the best experiences we have ever had with a contractor. The owner of the company, Mike Gundersen came to our home after we had sustained wind damage to our roof and made a careful inspection and then sat with us going over all of our options with no high pressure sales pitch at all, none. Once we accepted the quote, Mike scheduled the work and everything went as beautifully, as he had promised. The crew arrived on time and worked efficiently completing all their work in only two days. Mike checked in with us frequently during the job to ensure we were happy with the progress and never hesitated to answer our questions and concerns. He and his crew were consummate professionals. After the work was complete, everything was cleaned up and put away so perfectly, that the only way you could tell they had been there was by the beautiful new roof on our home. I called PHS for a Hardy Plank siding project. I was given a fair estimate. The project started in a timely manner. The crew was professional and polite. Their work exceeded my expectations. The company owner checked in to be sure of my satisfaction, and promised to check back in case anything popped up. I'd used this company for a new roof a few years prior to this, and was so pleased that I called them back for this project. This project came in at estimate, even though some extra effort was extended. I highly recommend Professional Home Services because they are great at what they do. Professional Home Services is amazing!! I called their office for an estimate on a roof replacement and the service was great since that first contact. I got the quote the same day, it was affordable (best of 3 estimates I had received) and the job was done within a week (weather didn't help for a couple of days) I can't be happier. They actually helped me even more by accepting a down payment and a second payment (by check) in two weeks. I told Mike I needed this job ASAP since the house was uninsured due to the age of the roof, he understood and started helping me right away. I rarely write reviews (English in my second language) but I owe this company for the great service they provided. They, indeed, went beyond my expectations. I definitely recommend them! Mike is very friendly and professional. The quote was really reasonable. The roof work was exceptional and done in a timely manner. Had it not been for the sign in the yard I would not have known they had come and gone. Cleanup was phenomenal. He even came back the following even and used a magnet to double-check for any nails he may have missed the day before. He was a joy to work with and we will be using them again!

Following a strong storm, Professional Home Services was the only firm of five that I contacted who showed up to provide an estimate for siding repairs (on time too) and who showed up on time to complete the repairs. Mike, the owner, stayed in contact before, during and after the repairs.....great customer service. Definitely someone I would use again.

Where to start. First off I had them do aluminum trim and vinyl siding on my house. Had a lot of options and colors so you don't feel restricted to only a few items. They also went above in my opinion with taking the time to get all the little things you don't think about like dryer vents and ect.The guy I dealt with ( Mike ) was on point with everything he said would be done. They replaced some rotten spots and sent me pictures to prove it was done before the covered the area with new siding.

Now the important part. Price. Well I wasted my time, Mikes time and the people of 5 other estimates. They came in well below other Richmond / tri city area businesses. Not sure why they are so high or he. Is so low but when you save over a grand and the work was done great and on schedule with what I was quoted. Who cares. Saved money and looks better then what I expected.

I have used Mike's company twice now and he is very professional, friendly and true to his word. The team he has working with him are great, again courteous, respectful and diligent with their work and cleaning up afterwards.
I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending PHS and will certainly use Mike again for work on our house.
