Precision Pointing and Restoration did a great job on our house. They carefully ground out the old mortar and neatly remortared every joint. They even removed and replaced a few brick sills with solid stone. They were very professional and did everything they said they were do. They cleaned up nicely when they were all down too. Precision Pointing and Restoration did a fantastic job on my chimney from beginning to end: they were communicative, timely and cleaned the area (post work) well. The only thing that keeps me from giving five stars is more related to a suggestion: it would be fantastic to have 'after pictures' of their work to compare. One of the things I liked about this company (and why I chose them) is they used a drone to take pictures to help them develop an estimate. It helped me to understand what was going to be done (and what needed to be done). It would be wonderful to have comparison pictures after. I recommend this company!

We were given a packet with their insurance information and credentials. The job was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. The office personnel were accommodating and easy to reach. Precision Pointing and Restoration did a great job repointing the brick on our front steps. They pressure washed it and it looks new again! They also did a great job pointing on some of the walls.

The whole Precision team was great to work with. From the quoting process to the clean up the team was receptive to questions and went above and beyond. Will definitely use again if needed for future jobs.

First off before we discussed my chimney removal. The owner of Precision gave me some very good advice about changing the layout of my rental property. Now to the chimney removal, they did exactly what they said they would do & on time. Also, gave me a discount for 2nd chimney removal. I highly recommend & will use them for any future masonry job.

Precision Pointing did an excellent job repairing the lintel above our garage, repointing our two chimneys and replacing the chimney caps. The crew was very professional, friendly and worked fast. Excellent clean up as well.

We needed our chimney pointed. They guys did a fantastic job. Nicely done, cleaned-up. There was a problem with the new damper which allowed in water when it rained hard. They came back and made it perfect immediately. Would use Precision Pointing again (but I hope not to need to).

There was no drama. Communication was prompt and good. Everyone (estimators, workers, etc.) showed up as scheduled. Price was 'as expected'. They showed up, did the work, & cleaned up with no pauses or work stoppages during the job. I'm happy with the quality of the work. I would have no problem recommending them to a 'picky' friend, and would call them again if i needed them.

Precision Pointing had the unfortunate pleasure of having to repair the inferior chimney pointing work of another contractor. To say they were dealing with jaded customers was an understatement. I can't say enough good things about them. They used a drone to show us where repairs were needed. They explained exactly what they were going to do and why they were going to do it. They showed us drone pictures of their finished work. In addition, they were mindful that we had a new roof and took extra care not to damage it. Finally, they cleaned both the chimney and the surrounding area. And the work was done in two days! First photo shows the before. Next 3 show the after!

I'm so pleased with the chimney repair and repointing work done by Precision. Mario went above and beyond to match the mortor to my home. He even requested that a different color mortor be substituted to blend in with the existing mortor. The owners of this company were a pleasure to deal with and understood my time constraints.

I hired Precision Pointing for some brick pointing on my house and to replace bricks on my chimneys. The work was nice and neat, despite some slight discoloration by the one crew on the one side of the house. They kept me updated on their progress and sent pictures of their work, which I appreciated.

Communication with them was smooth, particularly through their online channels.

They warned me about it being dusty, and in hindsight I wish I would’ve covered anything I had outside as it gets covered in layers of dust.

I was very pleased with the job they did repointing the chimneys. I was kept aware of the schedule before the day of the job, the guys showed up as promised and completed the job as scheduled. Would highly recommend them and have the company back for additional work.

Working with Ryan, Jessica and Cody was a dream. I’ve never had a Contractor be that communicative and responsive. Our house is about 100 years old and they restored and repointed our entire house - the brickwork looks beautiful. They also repointed our shared garage including replacement of the lintels. Cody noted that the original lintels were undersized and he replaced with the proper size; the sag above the opening is gone.Their attention to detail is spot on. We had some bad work done a few years ago on the back of our house and Precision improved it beyond our expectations, looks great. I would highly recommend their work.

Needed my chimney cap replaced and mortar joint cracks repointed on the side of my garage. Ryan came out and provided a quote, Jessica handled the scheduling and they were within their planned window of getting the work started. The crew onsite were professional and courteous and did a great job!

My chimney was leaking every time it rained. Had other companies come to work on it, they said its fixed. NOPE rain kept coming in through my garage wall. Called this company AND, Exceptionally pleased with the work done around and on my chimney. Left my roof and front yard very clean as well. They did a professional job. Needed the top of my chimney repointed and a new chimney cap.
The Precision Pointing crew did a wonderful job of grinding out old mortar, filling mortar joints with new mortar, and striking new mortar to match existing finish. Removed old chimney cap and poured and finished new cap. Looks great! No more loose bricks. They arrived to do the job when they said they would and finished in a couple of days.

Where to even start .... just wow ... I would give this company 10/5 if I could. Jessica and Ryan were FABULOUS. Cody and the group of guys were unbelievably fast, efficient, helpful, polite, knowledgeable ... I'm running out of adjectives to use to compliment this team!!!. If you EVER needed chimney work whatsoever, do not even look around. Just hire this company and this team to repair what's needed. They made you feel important and like you mattered. Great company from top to bottom. Absolutely 5 star worthy!

Ryan and his crew knocked a very unique job I had out of the park! I had a house I bought that I he entire foundation on one of the sides of the house needed replaced, and new brick on that side needed replaced after doing so. I would highly recommend using these guys. Good down to earth contractors and in todays world is extremely hard to find.

They did an excellent job and were great to work with. They were willing to provide quotes for multiple scopes of work so that we could make an informed decision. It's clear that the team that did the masonry work takes great pride in their craft. Multiple neighbors have commented on how good the house looks!

Excellent work at a fair price. Precision was the third of three quotes that I received for significant work on the three chimneys on our home in a historic district. Unlike the other two, Ryan walked me through the drone footage and his quote was less than half of the most expensive quote, and about 50% less than the other one. More importantly, he showed me exactly what work needed to be done, which was much less substantial than the other two companies claimed. Jessica worked us into their schedule within several weeks, and his crew did excellent and efficient work, including Mario, Angelo, JP, Deangelo, and Levi. They made sure that I was satisfied with the work before requesting any payment, unlike some other companies that require a significant down payment and then take a long time to schedule the work. I will definitely contact them again for any other masonry work, and I will also recommend them to our friends and neighbors. Well done!

Great service! The crew was very efficient, friendly, and professional. They completed the job in a few days due to weather issues but they were amazing. They thoroughly cleaned the area after the pointing. And kudos to the receptionist who was always so friendly each time I had to contact them! I highly recommend this company!

Port Vue UMC had a few areas that needed attention ASAP and Precision Pointing did not disappoint us. They replaced a lintel above a double window in our office and the cracked brick above that area fell back into place almost perfectly. We did not have any bricks to replace the cracked ones, but they were able to grind out the crack and fill the seem with an almost identical color. If you didn't know that crack was there previously you'd never see it!
They also repaired a sinking wall below our nativity scene by removing the blocks and poring a new footer with rebar, then rebuilt the wall and filled the gaps around the entire window to weather-proof it.
We are very pleased with their craftsmanship and work ethics, and highly recommend them for any of your needs.

I have a retaining wall that runs the length of my driveway to the street, and for whatever reason is gets hit by cars ~all of the time~ I live on a dead end street, there's not much traffic but it's still been hit at least a dozen times in the 4 years I've lived in this house! Most recently, a FedEx driver backed a truck into it and absolutely wiped it out. I was finally tasked with finding a good contractor to fix it.

After receiving a few bids, and many contractors that flat out refused to work on it, I found Precision Pointing & Restoration and I am so glad I did! They did an incredible job fixing our wall, and had it done in one day. While they were here they also re-pointed several bad spots in our brick -- eye sores that I had been meaning to fix for years. They did it all in an afternoon! They were also very clear in communication and scheduling.

Very grateful, and I'll be happy to recommend them to all my friends in the area who need similar work. Thank you!

In today’s business world it is hard to find a company that says what it means and means what it says. This company does just that. I highly recommend them. From the initial meeting and estimate of work to be done they met our every expectation. The company‘s owner Ryan and his wife Jessica could not have been more professional and friendly. Their follow up to restoration after the job was completed was excellent and thorough. If you’re thinking about pointing the bricks on your home it would be wise to include them on your estimate list. Remember the old adage “you get what you pay for”.

There is pricey and then there is out of this world and that is them! Pointing isn’t rocket science out of 10 quotes including this company they are 6 times higher than everyone’s else’s bid. Ryan is a good salesmen don’t fall for his sales pitch he’s not selling you gold.

Price is very reasonable and guys are super nice. They care about the details of the job and cleaned up really well afterwards too. The admin from the office is responsible too, kept me updated with the schedule. Highly recommend!!

I've been meaning to post this review for a while and just realized I haven't, so here goes. Ryan was awesome coordinating his team and advising what needed done to get my "110" year old chimney repointed. HIs team was super fast, friendly, and efficient. They made cleanup a breeze and I hardly knew they were there. Jessica was just as awesome! She coordinated everything and kept me up to date. Price wise-VERY VERY reasonable. I got a few quotes from multiple places in the greater Pittsburgh area and they beat everyone! If needed, I look forward to using them again.

We have ~115 yr old brick house with red mortar. The porch was in questionable shape with some mason bees making homes and a split in the mortar (I could see daylight through) over a drain spout.

1. Scheduling was excellent. Jennifer was great to work with and when we had birds next on our porch a week before, they were considerate enough to move the work back. Not that anyone should expect that, but her willingness to at least try was greatly appreciated.

2. The mason came and were much less noisy than I expected, self-sufficient once they had water and electrical access, and fast. The entire porch was re-pointed in a single day. They came back and scrubbed the mortar, and when my wife pointed out a few spots they did them immediately.

3. The work looks great. The dyed mortar matches perfectly, and the porch looks how it should now. I'm very pleased with the quality and efficiency of their world.

10/10 will use them again in the future for any masonry related project.

They’re honestly the best in the business! Everything was so smooth. From placing a request online for a quote, to them coming out (providing references), sending me a quote within 24 hours, being able to start the project BEFORE the scheduled date, coming on a day when it SNOWED (in April) in the morning, to payment, and everything else. They’re pricing is on point with the quality of work. I had multiple other quotes and I’m so glad I went with Precision! I 100% recommend!!!!

Had a chimney crown poured and top of chimney pointed...took care of the musty smell in fireplace immediately. Awesome experience from the first contact for an estimate through the actual work and cleanup. Communication is easy and efficient using email and text. I can't not express enough how pleased I was with every step of the process. Even during this difficult COVID times, Ryan was able to come to my house quickly to examine my chimney pointing job, and he quickly sent me an estimate in a day. I am so grateful for the help and understanding of persisting pointing! I was able to communicate with Jessica through text message which made the whole process really easy. We had to navigate things like rain, pandemic, and traveling just to schedule the pointing up two chimneys. I previously had Precision Pointing repair my brick front door sill. There was a small section that needed to be repaired again. They were very responsive, communicated in a timely manner, kept me posted on technician arrival time, etc. They covered the repair under warranty with no questions asked and did a great job with the repair. As we all know, things go wrong from time to time. I was very pleased to see that there are still companies out there who stand behind there work. I highly recommend using Precision Pointing.

I called and left a message asking for a quote for tuck-pointing work. They didn't even bother to call back.

I don't mind a vendor saying they aren't able to respond due to a busy schedule, or else can't do the work for some other reason. But if you're going to hang out your shingle you should be able to communicate in a professional way. A complete lack of response is unacceptable.

We had an appt scheduled for Monday for an estimate and he never showed nor called. The wife called us and said they have had a lot of personal business going on along with being busy getting the kids ready to go back to school. She apologised for what was going on and said he could come Thursday for our estimate (today). We were understanding of the circumstances and requested to please call us and confirm everything. We not only didn’t get a phone call but he didn’t show up.. AGAIN. Very unhappy and find it to be very irresponsible and unrealiable. Not recommended.
