I had a great experience working with Greenawalt. Their pricing was lower than all the quotes I got from other roofers, they were able to get a new roof on my house within 10 business days of first contact, they used high quality materials, and they offered a much better warranty than any other company I talked to.

Greenawalt provides a high quality service at a price that any homeowner can afford. If you're looking to get roof work done in Pittsburgh, Greenawalt should be at the top of your list.

Choosing a roofer was a difficult decision, and after no less than 5 interviews, it came down to Greenawalt and one other company. Although I ultimately chose the other company (largely due to a personal preference for the treatment of a century+ year old metal porch roof - for which Greenawalt offered a very tempting alternative solution), it was not due to any lacking on the part of Greenawalt or their representative, Dan Sochko.

Their price was competitive, their proposal was specific and detailed, and Dan was willing to make adjustments to the proposal upon request. Dan is a self-described "roofing nerd" and is willing and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge, which helped immensely with my decision-making. Moreover, unlike some other roofers, when advised that my final decision was for another company, Dan's response was polite and gracious.

We are thrilled with Greenawalt’s and all they did for our home. All new siding, trim and shutters. The team was very hard working, 3 days in the cold for 10 hours each day. Very professional and effective - they worked super fast. Tyler and Olivia were very accommodating taking care of our issues from contract to invoice. Highly recommend!

I had Greenwalt roofing do my roof and when I met with Dan he told me everything about the company and what they do.If anything needed fix or replaced they took pictures and called me before they did anything. So there was no hidden cost or being surprised about something. I want to tank Dan Sochko for his job and making sure everything was done right. The installation was efficient with good quality of work. We did have some punch list item afterwards that needed resolved, but they were handled to our satisfaction.

We've been really pleased with all aspects of the Greenawalt roof replacement and gutter update experience. The communication has been great - the sales people are knowledgeable friendly and never pushy. The account team walked us through everything, including some rescheduling due to inclement weather.
The Greenawalt roofing team arrived at the crack of dawn, worked diligently all day (and in some pretty cold weather) and finished our full roof replacement before the sun went down. Same for the gutter replacement team. We were wildly impressed with the workmanship from both groups.
And now we have a roof and gutter system that keeps the elements out and looks great.

The salesmen inspected our roof met with our insurance adjuster and took care of all the details. The installers saw some underlying problems and made us aware and took care of those problems before proceeding. I had some questions about the attic fan when the job was completed and they sent someone out right away to inspect the job. We highly recommended this company. They are a company that you can trust with quality work and quality pricing.

We had a small gutter job and everything was handled in a timely manner with great communication!Dan was awesome in how he explained the job and treated us as humans which is a lost art!

The work was done very precisely.
The workers identified all week spots or rotten areas on the roof and fixed these.
The detail work on all of the siding corners in sets was perfect. Everything was caulked to perfection. clean up was great

The crew showed up at the time they said they would. They were friendly. They finished the job in one day. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. The dumpster was removed the following day. They did a great job. Good communication with the company. No money was paid until the job was completed (I'm still waiting for the invoice).

Greenawalt Roofing is fabulous! They are so professional and friendly. Also very timely on my job and arrived promptly. Moses explained everything in detail to me so that I understood everything that was going on with my roof. I really appreciated that!

Would not recommend. Our gutters are less effective than the broken ones we replaced. Leaves a constant slab of dangerous ice at our front stoop. The contract stated they would cover asbestos siding but instead tour it down with no regard for the danger to their employees or us. So much more to unpack here, but those are the highlights.
Phase two: We also take the renovations to our home seriously. In response to the inadequacy of insulation and ventilation, sorry but all of that is also newly installed, some just prior to this Winter season to avoid these very issues. This was not a problem with our previous gutters and less efficient systems, so this just does not track. Our home is the most efficient in heating and cooling since we moving here in 2005. We have new HVAC throughout, new insulation on the upper floor, and repaired the ventilation in the attic. One can find anything on the internet to corroborate the narrative they wish to sell.
Phase 3:
Heavy warm spring rain… overflowing in same area. Assessment done and repairs/replacement of proper size gutter recommended.

Greenawalt wasn't originally my first choice out of the 6 contractors I got estimates for. One other company that seemed a better choice later proved otherwise when they imposed some details like money up front and high-pressure tactics to get me to sign. I didn't like the pushy salesman who came for the contract signing so I decided to go with Greenawalt, my second choice. The company didn't demand any money up front, explained all the details of the contract and weren't at all pushy. The workmen who installed the roof were polite, careful about the landscape and features around the house. They were efficient and got the job done in a single day for the roof portion of the contract. They meticulously removed all the debris and even went over the yard with a magnet to pick up metal scraps and nails. The dumpster was promptly removed. I got a call in plenty of time notifying me of the arrival time of the workers. The second portion of the contract went equally as well to replace the siding on the house. I was truly impressed with the professionalism Greenawalt showed through the entire project and highly recommend them.

This company was very professional from beginning to end. Billy explained everything to me, and answered all of my questions. The office staff kept me informed on the installation date, based on when supplies were being delivered. The workers were thorough. They took photos of areas that needed additional work, which Billy said was a possibility, due to the age of my roof. There was no debris left in my yard from the old roof. Also, I have a large bird house, which had a roof that matched my old roof. They put a new roof on that house as well! I wish I had noticed it while they were still here, so I could thank them for going above and beyond. .They also replaced old skylights on my deck roof that leaked. . Everything is nice and dry now. I will definitely recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.

I hired Greenawalt to replace the siding and gutters (adding gutter guards) on my Cape Cod style home. They were a pleasure to work with throughout the process. From the gentleman I met at the Home and Garden Show, to Christina in the office, to the crew that did the job, and the guy that picked up the dumpster afterwards: they were all so nice, helpful, and informative. I chose them because of the reviews they had online, including the BBB, but they were also the most affordable of the 6 estimates I received. I would not hesitate to recommend them for a job at your home.

My roof was damaged in a wind storm, they gave me a repair price and I requested a replacement of the entire roof price and we just went with the entire roof replacement, they were done in one day. They do great work as well as fast and also clean up the mess.

I utilized Greenawalt Roofing Company within the last year to install a new flat rubber roof on a duplex. They responded to my request for a quote immediately, showed up on time, presented a fair quote and scheduled the installation. The installation went smoothly. A few months later, I had a chimney pointed by another contractor. He told me the roof was the best quality work he had ever seen. I highly recommend Greenawalt!

Very kind personnel. The job took a little while to get started due to materials. The job was completed in one day, and any small additional fixes were completed appropriately. I was very pleased with the work, communication, and price.

We had siding and gutters installed. It took a while to get the quote because of personnel issues, but Brian stepped up and came out and went over every detail to finalize our quote to make it happen (Thanks Brian!). We waited a long time for installation but we realize that is because of the times we live in now. The job was completed within 3 days which was good, and it looks great. Christina was very good at communicating with us throughout the process. We had one issue with the gutters, but Patrick (a nice fellow, I might add) took care of it in a reasonable amount of time.
