Pratt's Professional Chimney Service

Our home inspector recommended Pratt as the experts on fireplace and chimney inspection and work and they did not disappoint. The customer service is excellent. Everyone we worked with was very friendly and professional. Jackson did a thorough inspection with photos and an iPad to show me internal chimney photos as he explained the issues. Pratt also did repairs for us and converted a gas fireplace to a gas start wood burning fireplace. Pratt worked here several days and everyone was on time, helpful, and kept everything very clean despite doing a lot of work that created dust and a bit of a mess. They had drop clothes and cleaned up everything. The fireplace is great. Jackson and all staff responded quickly by phone and email to any question I had and if you call you always get a knowledgeable and very friendly woman. They were great to work with.

What an unusual business! They answer the phone after one or two rings. They get back to you when they say they're going to. They show up on time. Everyone is polite. They do what they said they were going to do. Then they go above and beyond to do the job they said they would do even if costs them more than they planned, without even thinking twice about it. We couldn't be happier with the work Pratts Chimney did on our fireplace insert install. The owner, the office folks, the technicians, were all great to work with. We could not recommend them more highly!

Jackson, actually arrived early. He called an d moved up our scheduled . This was perfect. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He was very professional. He completed the inspection. He went through all of his findings. He showed me the camera feed from his inspection. He went through all issues and potential fixes. He was able to go to his truck and work out the estimates for the repairs. We discussed options . I an extremely happy with the service.

Pratt's came out a few years ago to inspect and clean our chimneys. They were reliable and thorough. Then a few days ago my husband and I heard squirrels in the chimney. Steve came out same day to inspect. He was awesome. So helpful. Highly recommend working with Steve and the rest of the Pratt team.

I cannot say enough good things about Pratt's Chimneys. I have 3 fireplaces that I have been unable to use for years due necessary chimney repairs. One is about 50 years old and 2 are over 80 yrs old. I was nervous about issues that might arise during repairs and had been given discouraging (and expensive) quotes by other companies in the past.
Austin immediately put me at ease and gave me a quote for fitting all 3 with liners, when I was only expecting to be able to afford to repair one. They were able to fit me into the schedule the very next week and the whole team was phenomenal.
Nate was so knowledgeable and listened to all my concerns, even painting the chimney caps when I mentioned offhand that I preferred a different color! They took excellent care of my home, were respectful, professional, and friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure every fireplace was safe, replacing an old ash box door and protecting the decorative tiles around the oldest fireplace. One of the chimneys was pretty small and on a weird angle but they worked on it diligently and got the liner fitted beautifully.
A week after their work was complete I now have a roaring fire in the main fireplace, with no smoke or other issues I was used to from years past.
I would recommend Pratt's Chimneys to anyone with an older home who thinks repairs or updates would be too much - in the right hands, the results are amazing!

When a different company said our wood-burning fireplace couldn't be fixed, they wanted to upsell us with a gas insert. When AJ and Austin from Pratt's showed up, they indicated it would be simple to replace, coming in 90% cheaper than the solution offered by that other company. Sam came out yesterday to do the work and was great. He explained everything he was doing, kept me up-to-date with where things stood along the way, and did a great job cleaning up after he was done. I am DELIGHTED with Pratt's Chimney all around. I received sound advice that was executed well.

Ethan and Alec came to install a gas insert for us. It was a complex job which required cutting stone in our fireplace opening. There were several issues along the way and each time a solution was found to proceed with the job. When they left we now have a beautiful radiant heat fireplace. Great job Ethan and Alec! I was converting my fireplace to a gas insert. The installers found a blockage in the chimney and Pratts was out within two days. Sam and Jax diagnosed and fixed a difficult situation where the service liner ended up where the chimney was supposed to be. Now my gas insert can be placed without further delay!

Platts has done our chimney (s) for years. We heat primarily with wood, so it is so very important to have that chimney done 2X a year. Their

Called to have chimney cleaned/inspected and was greeted with your stove isn't "up to code" your chimney needs to be replaced here's an estimate for 8,000$ to do the job. Called another company and was shown they didn't inspect anything but the top section and nothing else. Pulled the top section of chimney off and the lower parts were able to be brushed clean.

Tyler Bush did a great job of replacing my fireplace damper and putting in a new liner for the fireplace and appliance flue. They will need to come back to do waterproofing to chimney due to rain coming tonight. I would highly recommend Pratt Chimney and especially Tyler Bush. Tyler was very good at explaining everything when he came originally to give me an estimate and he was not pushy.

Ethan installed a new cover for our chimney structure and installed new screening in the chimney cap with the hope that it will abate some of the invasive insects that have been finding their way down our flue pipe. Very professional, respectful of our home and schedule. Very reasonable pricing as well.

Hired them to clean water heater's flue and chimney for $225 as they advertised. They are not interested in cleaning at all. Their purpose is to look at chimney then they could black-mail you into bigger project that they could charge you for tremendous amount ($17,000) to make your chimney smaller to meet their saying "adequate vent". If you only want to hire them to clean the flue and chimney then they would refuse to do it and walk away.

I consider myself pretty picky on quality and this place did what they said, were on time , very professional, even had the owner's daughter on the job checking the work... would recommend to anyone needing chimney work done. Thanks Steve the owner and Ethan and the team!!!!!!

Miguel, Josh, and Kyler were great! They stayed until the work was completed even though it went into the evening hours. I really appreciated their diligent effort and quality work. They were also very clean which I appreciated.

We had a very positive experience with Pratt Chimney. Our first contact was with Andrew, who did an excellent job inspecting our fireplace and chimney and reviewing various solutions / options with us. He didn't pressure or try to upsell us. Andrew and Sam did the work of replacing our appliance chimney liner, pouring a new concrete crown and doing some tuckpointing on our chimney. They were pleasant to talk to and always open to answering questions. I especially appreciate that they noticed my neighbor was having some exterior painting done at the time they were scheduled to do their tuckpointing. Out of concern the dust from their work would ruin my neighbor's paint, Andrew thought it was best to hold off on the work until my neighbor's painting was complete. Really appreciate this foresight and I know my neighbor did too! I would use this company again for any chimney or fireplace related services in the future.

Earlier this week my family and I really were scrambeling to find someone to help make sure we solved our problem. Monday night Tyler came out and gave us a quote, by Tuesday afternoon our chimeny liner was in. They went the extra mile to make sure to find the true source of our problem. Top notch repair place. No overages. Awesome quality. Josh was very professional and respected our family and home and did an amazing job. They did what they said they were going to do and more. They noticed a problems with our bricks and didn’t charge extra because they said it was a package deal and their job was to make the chimney functional again.

Pratt Chimney saved us!

We had another chimney come out to clean and inspect our chimney. They did a quick cleaning, but stopped telling us our chimney pipe was damaged, needed to be complete replaced (by removing all the stone on our 14’ fireplace) and have a new cap installed. They never even went on the roof! We couldn’t believe it considering it’s not even 4 years old.

Since they had great reviews, we called Pratt Chimney to get another opinion. Ethan was on time, professional and friendly. He cleaned the chimney from inside the house - built up creosote was falling down! Once he was certain got the pipe clean, he went on the roof. He took off our old chimney cap (which had never been cleaned by the old company on the two occasions they were out). It had pounds of creosote built up in it! All the vents were completely blocked! Ethan showed me pictures and the pipe was completely clean! He said it was in great working order.

I’m shocked another chimney company was going to charge us thousands of dollars and tear apart our fireplace when it was perfectly fine. Thank you to Pratt Chimney and Ethan for an outstanding service. We won’t be using anyone else but them in the future.

Awesome customer service, very speedy response time, very helpful and courteous. We had a bad wind storm 30-40 with gusts up to 65. Within 2 hours they sent a team (Ethan & Jake) to get an estimate, helped take photos (for insurance) and a temporary fix for my damaged chimney. The whole Pratt team was awesome. Our furnace died on Dec 11 and the only way we had to heat the house was space heaters and the old fireplace we had never used. I called and told them I needed the fireplace to keep the pipes from freezing, not just for decoration. They found a way to get someone to me. Ethan was remarkable: efficient, delightfully friendly and reassuring. The service was worth more than it cost. Highly recommend.

We had Pratt's come out to replace and repair our chasetop, storm collar, a panel in the fireplace and a new set of gas logs with burner pan and the whole nine yards. Josh and Kyler were on time, courteous and very informative. They ran into a problem they didn't know about, and didn't have a tool needed to complete on their truck. Instead of rescheduling the install for another day, they ran and got what they needed and came back to finish the install. They were both very friendly and explained what they were doing and then how to operate the new stuff. Even outside of Josh and Kyler, the office staff are all top notch. Great customer service, they all went above and beyond and absolutely will be recommending them to anyone that is in need of fireplace or chimney work. Thanks again, we really appreciate it!

Pratt's Chimney has done a terrific, thorough and professional job on the two chimneys for our 1920s Tudor-style house. Ethan and Sam inspected and video-taped our chimneys after chimney-swift birds had finally flown away in fall (after nesting in one chimney most of the summer) and found that both chimneys had deteriorating liners that wouldn't be safe to use. They removed the clay tile liners, installed new steel liners, poured insulating mix around the liners and then cemented up the top of the flue-box around the base of the liners. They also installed a new black pipe gas line for one of our chimneys, which uses gas fired logs, along with a new burner pan and we now have a fireplace that looks like it's in an English manor house in a movie when the fire is lit and roaring. Ethan and Sam were on time and put drop-cloths everywhere to protect our floors, house and fireplaces, too. They're also the friendliest and most polite tradesmen you'll come across. They still have to return later this month to install two new chimney pots (to replace two weather & age-cracked ones) and install several new custom-ordered copper rain/bird-animal guards on top of the chimney pots (so the chimney-swifts can't return and nest next year), but the work to this point has been outstanding. I would recommend Pratt's Chimney highly. (Their pricing was very reasonable, too, compared to other quotes we received before proceeding with Pratt's Chimney for the repair jobs.)

We are new homeowners. Our fireplace inspection, performed by Pratt's Professional Chimney Service, yielded much-needed repairs. When Pratt's came out to perform the service, the guys were truly fantastic. We recently had Jared and Sam from Pratt’s come out and replace our clay tile chimney liner as well as the appliance flu with stainless steel. Had a great experience with both Technicians. They were polite, hard working and very thorough with completing the job. Great Experience!

Had Johnny and Art out to remove an old clay liner and place a new steel one in our old chimney. They set up tarps to protect the floor and were very careful not to break anything nearby. They told me everything they were doing and showed me too. Very impressed and would use them again.

Big shout out to Tyler and Josh of Pratt's Chimney. I moved into a new home. The inspection revealed that the liner was damaged and in need of repair. Tyler came out and provided me with a reasonably priced and well thought out plan to make the repairs. Yesterday, Tyler and Josh spent all day in 90 degree heat replacing the liner. Both were extremely professional. They explained the work as they were completing it and made sure that the house was left clean before they left. Dillon and Sam performed the work. They arrived on time and worked diligently the entire time they were here. I was especially impressed by how courteous they were.

Highly recommend Pratt’s. Tyler was great to work with from the get go. He was very responsive and knowledgeable on my situation. I had some pretty bad water leakage in my kitchen and turns out I needed my exhaust chimney taken down due to its age. They put a b-vent there and made sure I had all the proper flashing and coordination w my roofing company as this work was done in tandem w a new roof being installed. There were no issues trying to get the 2 contractors to work together and Tyler & Sam worked w the roofers well. When the scope of worked changed they also adjusted their bid to price the job appropriately. I would highly recommend Pratt’s!

Pratt's was great! For a reasonable price they were able to reline two flues in my chimney and seal the smoke chamber to get a long disused fireplace in my recently purchased home in state that is safe to use. The work was very professional and there was excellent communication throughout the process.

Johnny and Vinny came and installed a liner in our chimney. They were prompt and courteous. I'm sure it's a messy job for them, but they kept the job site clean, both inside our living room and outside on the lawn. It was a two-day job and very windy both days, and we have a 2-story high chimney, so we especially appreciate them working in less than optimal conditions. Everything was cleaned up by the time they left, you'd never even know they had been here.
