We recently used D-Wing to replace some cedar siding on our house and paint the exterior. We hired D-Wing to replace rotting boards in our deck and re-paint it. Dylan and team were a pleasure to work with and made sure that we were well informed throughout the process. We received a vey timely quote for the work and a price for any boards that would need replacement. Work was done quickly and very professionally and we are extremely pleased with the results.

Went with D-Wing and passed on the storm chasers after a significant hail storm — so glad we did! They were great to work with and the true test is they are still around and stand by their work. Had them come out recently and do some small typical repairs — they were prompt and fair with their pricing and service. Highly recommend.

We had a leak in our garage roof, and D-Wing was the first/fastest to respond and help us. The leak was not obvious and very difficult to pinpoint, but D-Wing was persistent, patient and professional. They checked several areas and ended up finding the leak - and the repair was well done and thorough. Christi runs the office and is super responsive and helpful, and Mike was the PM/SME....very knowledgeable and was able to troubleshoot/resolve our leak. Will definitely use them again!

D-Wing replaced our roof several years ago and now they installed a new back door and storm door (and built a new threshold). They are extremely professional, reliable, and do great work. I would highly recommend them. Their prices are reasonable and they are fair.

We recently hired D-Wing Construction to paint two very tall walls in our great room—almost 20 feet high—and they did an outstanding job. From start to finish, their team was professional, detail-oriented, and meticulous in their work. They carefully taped, repaired drywall, patched imperfections, and delivered a flawless finish. Throughout the process, they took great care to protect our space, keeping everything clean and organized. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality really stood out. DWing did an excellent job trying to get the exact color of siding to fix multiple holes. They are professional and quick to respond.

Marco and Roberto came out on a snowy morning in December to replace some flashing that flew off my roof! It was slick on the roof but they were very agile and got the job done without any problems! Dave from D-Wing was able to identify the problem we had with the drywall in our entryway. While others thought our roof was leaking, after a close examination Dave found that the real issue was a lack of air circulation between our inside ceiling and the roof rafters on a one story house.
The work that was done was excellent and very reasonable in cost. The construction crew were on time, worked diligently, cleaned up and were very nice.

This included getting the insurance claim off the ground, delaying the project until we were ready to begin and completing it in a timely manner once started. Christian did a terrific job managing both the insurance and the project management, Mike made sure every detail was taken care of on the day of the roof installation, Dylan was a breeze to work with on the painting side and the painting crew was pleasant to have in our home. D-Wing did a fantastic job replacing the siding our house. Our cedar siding was rotting, and it was time for a change. We wanted to switch to vinyl and give our house a design facelift. A neighbor used D-Wing on their house and recommended them to us. John took his time explaining everything to us during the sales process. (And didn’t pressure us to sign!) They came out a couple more times to review the changes that we were looking to make and discuss details. Very thorough. The installation team from Harry, Kyle and Sergio on down were wonderful. The job took about 2 weeks and the job they did was meticulous. The house looks amazing, and we couldn’t be more pleased.

D-Wing Construction did a wonderful job in the evaluation and replacement of my daughter’s roof, and insulating the attic. I will refer them to my children for their roofing needs.

This past year, we were in the market for new siding and windows. Our neighbor had recommended D-wing to us, as they were incredibly pleased with their entire window replacement experience. We put them on our list of potential companies for the job, along with 2-3 others.

After meeting with all the companies, we decided to go with D-wing for the job. Their sales associates were incredibly patient with us as we took our time to ask questions and make decisions. They were not pushy at all, and we felt they offered a great product at a fair and reasonable price.

The windows and siding jobs were two different teams. I felt they scheduled and coordinated the jobs very well to ensure a seamless transition. There was very little wait time between the two.

Their teams were great! They were incredibly respectful, listened to concerns or questions we brought up, and their finished work was of high quality.

There were 3 issues that came up during the job.

Our outside spicket was broken in the process of the siding change (it was very old and rusty). They fixed it without any issue.

Another was the fascia color. We felt it was off and not the color we chose. We brought it up to the sales associate during and after the job, but he assured us it was what we chose. We found out that the sales associate is no longer with the company, and when the owner found out about our concern, he went above and beyond to make the situation right for us. The correct color was ordered and the fascia replaced at no cost to us.

The third issue was they did not bring a dumpster. We were under the understanding that we would have one so we were surprised when one never showed up. Honestly, I didn't make a fuss about it because all the garbage did leave. That said, had I called the company, I feel confident that one would have been at my house the next day.

Overall, my experience with D-wing was incredibly positive. Hiccups are part of any renovation job, and I felt D-wing did their best to conduct themselves with excellence and integrity every step of the way. We are pleased with the final product and I would highly recommend them for your exterior renovation needs. When we are due for a roof, we will be calling them.

I've worked with many commercial and residential contractors during my professional working career and highly recommend this company for your projects.

Was planning to get my house painted however, had some cracked Hardie plank siding, primarily on the southern exposure, that needed to be replaced first. Since D-Wing is a preferred James Hardie installer, I contacted them for an estimate to repair. Christi promptly returned my call and put me in touch with Dave, the company owner.

Dave mentioned the siding planks may still be under the original manufacture warranty and then went above and beyond walking me through the claim process with James Hardie. After I approved the estimate for repair, Dave introduced me to Marco his siding installer and repair expert. Marco was professional, communicated his steps and proved to be an exceptional craftsman. Several siding planks were perfectly replaced. Marco also went above scope and corrected a few other shortcomings he noticed with the siding around the house making it paint ready.

I had been getting quotes from other painting contractors when Dave mentioned D-Wing also provided a painting service. Dave introduced me to Dylan, his painting manager. Dylan promptly provided me with an estimate that I found to be not the least expensive but very competitive and was offering the paint supplier I was intending to use already in the estimate.

Since I already had a good experience with the siding repair, I decided to accept Dylan's offer for house painting and I couldn't have made a better decision.

Dylan introduced me to Jesus, the painting supervisor for his team. Jesus was also very professional, communicated well and also an exceptional craftsman. This is the first team of painters I found to be detail orientated and exceptionally clean. My initial comments to Jesus were, I'm critical of caulking and not having paint where it doesn't belong and he didn't disappoint, the painted house looks great..!

I apologize for the long review however bottom line, if your looking for a good contractor that will communicate well and stand behind their work, Dave and his team will do the job and do it right.

After several quotes to have our home painted my wife and I chose D-Wing construction based on cost and reviews…and boy am I glad I did. Dylan Palmer is great to work with and made sure that we were happy with the job his crew did. Jesus and his crew attention to detail, cleanliness, and just going the extra mile did not go unnoticed. The transformation is amazing! He did a great job and is a real perfectionist. You can see the pride he takes in his work and kept in communication with us. HIGHLY recommend…we will definitely use D-Wing Construction for future projects.

My relationship started with D-Wing about 5 years ago. To be honest, it did not get off to a good start. This was due to the way my project was handled by the onsite crew. Without going into detail, the final product left much to be desired. The rating above is not for the work, but how management addressed and worked through my challenges. For their part they did well. Management came to my home. They listened to my issues. Did what they could to correct them. In addition, a cost consideration was extended to me that got me to a satisfactory place. That part was very professional.

Recently I experienced an issue that I could only figure was warranty work for the project D-Wing did for me. Christi was more than great on the phone in listening to me. She asked all the right questions. She requested images of what I was referring to. This was then escalated to management to make sure we were all on the same page with what needed to be looked at. I spoke with Dave several times. All good conversations.

A service call was scheduled within two business days. This was wonderful to me. Not only did the service crew come to my home, but Christi and Dave both came as well. After looking at several scenarios as to what could be causing the issue, Dave and team found the cause of the issue. Turns out it had nothing to do with what they had done at my home. They helped me come up with a solution and a plan on correcting the issue. all in all, they were there in excess of an hour. They did not leave until they were satisfied I was in a good place. They left materials I needed to fix the issue as well. All of this at NO CHARGE!

This has led me to feel confident in D-Wing once again. So much so, I have reached out to discuss a future project with them.

D-Wing is an incredible Company! Dave, the owner, met with me and went over all of my questions, and concerns for the roof and siding caused by the storm on 4/4/2023. The critical part was dealing with my insurance company. The adjuster really pushed back and only wanted to give me $4k for the roof and nothing for my siding and gutters. Dave was tenacious and fought hard to get it through, even doing a conference call with me and the Agency Manager. (another company flaked on me but Dave got it done.) I ask a lot of questions but Dave was patient and was able to break everything down, including costs and options. I ended up getting a couple of garage entry doors because mine were falling apart. Hector took the lead on that and walked me through that part. The roof went off as planned. My siding had extra layers and Harry, the job manager, made sure everything was correctly by taking it all off. Other incredible people were Kyle, site manager who came by often the day of and afterwards, Edgar- lead crew, Radick and Thomas - the door installer's and the entire crew were respectful, knowledgeable, and super nice! The clean-up was fantastic too. I'm someone who takes my time to pick companies for large purchases and I can tell you I am 100% satisfied.

Dylan and the D-Wing Crew have been amazing in working with our office space and painting the interior. Very professional and pleasure to work with!

I found this company on Thumbtack and boy was it a huge mistake! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! I originally talked and wrote my contract with Dylon and he promised me they'd do an amazing job painting my walls, rails, windows and kitchen cabinets. I was assured time and time again that Dylon will bring his best crew and they knew exactly what I wanted and they knew how to it professionally! He also promised the job will take 10 days to 2 weeks max! Well, the project took almost 4 weeks and they ruined pretty much all that they touched! The walls most have shadows and even though they said they painted a few coats it still looks bad in some areas! The paint on the railing was over sprayed and it's running and some areas weren't sanded properly and it's rough to the touch! They absolutely ruined my kitchen cabinets as they didn't prep them at all, just spayed them and didn't even bother to remove the protective tape inside that prevents damage to the cabinets (just painted right over it)! My built in fridge has panels and as soon as they took all the panels off to paint, they lost the upper panel and didn't know what happened to it! That's a custom piece and it's very expensive. They also lost most of the hinges to the cabinets and couldn't put them back up properly as they are all crooked and lopsided! They threw my drawers out in the open with no protection whatsoever and got paint all over the insides as well. My kitchen looks horrible! Even Dylon admitted it didn't look good and to give them another chance, but we had to move in and they had 4 weeks already! All my cabinet fronts have to be changed at this point as they won't stand the sanding and refinishing once more!Their excuse was that there were other contractors there when i reality there was one contractor working in the upstairs bathroom and an electrician that was almost done (also Dylon was told about this before and he reassured me that they do this all the time and it's no big deal)! They took down all of the interior doors to paint them and they couldn't put one back that works! You heard right, of the 13 doors not one closes properly as they either hung them incorrectly or stripped them and they are useless so we will eventually have to replace them! They took out our sliding door to paint it and I don't know why they took out the handle as it went missing as well. As for the sliding door, they couldn't put it back properly and not only was it a safety hazard but it let cold air in and we had spend thousands to get that replaced. They took down all the ceiling fans to paint the ceiling but didn't put any one of them back up so another expense! They lost 8 window channels, all weather stripping was ruined 2 window screens were missing, most of the electrical outlet covers were missing and even though Dylon replace a few of those we put them back ourselves! My partner also helped with finishing the paint in the closets and trying to hang the kitchen cabinets in a good will to help them move faster. They also left my house in such filth that the cleaning person who was here for 10 hours gave up and left as there was so much paint and dust everywhere. hat a headache and a waste of time, energy and everything else! Please please save yourselves and DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH D-WING!

D-wing is amazing. They replaced a roof for the previous owner of my home, but happily came out to assess and repair storm damage that happened recently, and took care of it free of charge. They were timely, knowledgeable and repaired the roof quickly. I would strongly recommend them to potential customers, family and friends. Five stars!

We struggled to find a company to do a small repair job of some siding due to storm damage. D-Wing was there for us! 5 years later, the job has held up. We lost siding on another side of the house (not the job they repaired) and when called they were out for the repair within a few days. Very nice, knowledgeable associates. Top quality work that stands the test of time... and wind/storms! Would highly recommend!

I’m tough to please and never do reviews but when a company shows up on time, all the time, and does excellent work and even comes back 4 years later (at no cost) to get rid of some birds that had tunneled in to the attic (through no fault of D Wing) I’ll recognize their approach to “above and beyond” they do great work. Hire them.

Wow, D-Wing Construction went above and beyond painting our house. Our siding was so bad I was seriously thinking we'd have to replace it. Dylan Palmer at D-Wing was so knowledgeable and steered us in the right direction. They upgraded paint quality, prep-work was detailed, and they spent extra time at no additional charge painting some areas 2-tone because it would look better! Dylan was always available for a call or text with questions and they revitalized our home. We love it!!

The quality of work, the talented hard working, pleasant, respectful aiming to please crew represented D-Wing as though they were part of a commercial. The crew was on-time each day and cleaned up thoroughly each evening. We appreciated that D-Wing did not interrupt the job (some companies go back and forth between jobs). Even after full payment D-Wing provided superior service. We had found three items that needed small attention. They were out the next day touching up the minor items.

I cannot say how much I really value D-Wing's owner, Dave, who went above and beyond to help me with my roofing situation. I won't go into details but he was with me side-by-side when I filed the claim with the insurance company and he came back multiple times for roof inspections with insurance adjusters (we had total of 3 that the insurance company sent) that the insurance company sent (just to nickel and dime us to death) without any complaint. He is a consummate professional, a true gentleman, and he will have your back. He has done a great job with my neighbor's roof and his crew is first class. I absolutely recommend him to be your roofer. You will not regret it.

Christi was on top of all of the scheduling and material ordering and was able to complete our siding, flashing, & Soffit repairs quickly and as important UNDER BUDGET! They worked very closely with the insurance underwriter to ensure we were taken care of and everything was done within code. I would highly recommend Dave and his team for any house projects.

We were disappointed to find out they did windows too, but we already were under contract with another contractor. I will use D-Wing for the next window replacement project.

We would like to share with you our review focused on two areas that made us very satisfied customers. And are very happy to recommend D-Wing for Roofing, Soffit and Gutter work. Here is why- First, D-wing was recommended by a friend who has worked in the contracting business for the last 20 plus years in the Northshore Suburbs of Chicago where expectations tend to be quite high. When we asked about roofing work, our friend did not hesitate to say right away that D-wing is the best. Next was working with salesman John who was very informative on the options and process of the entire project. When he was not 100% sure about the questions we asked, he doublechecked and got back to us in a very timely manner. John was knowledgeable and answered all our questions in detail as well as was patient with us in our decision-making process. Then came the actual days of installing our new roof, soffit and gutters. Mike, the project manager, was Great from the moment we met, informing us of the process and timeline of completions. Everything was completed very well and in a very timely manner, even on one of the hottest days of the summer. The entire staff we worked with was very friendly.

Lastly, one of the main reasons for us writing this review is how an issue we had with some clean-up was resolved. Dave, the owner, and Mike, the project manager, handled our issue by going above and beyond to make us even more than satisfied customers. We first informed Mike and he rearranged his schedule and drove over an hour the next day to help with clean up. Additionally, the Owner Dave came out himself within the next week to check in with us and listen to our concerns. He kindly offered and fixed an issue with a light switch which was possibly not connected at all to the work his company completed.

John Esposito was a real pleasure to work with and communication was excellent for the most part. I will definitely work with D-Wing again in the future if I decide to get my detached garage roof redone since I opted to wait on that structure.
Harry was great to work with on-site and the work seems to me as a layperson to be of good quality. I was grateful that they were able to fit me in before the winter months. And I also was appreciative that they were honest and direct about it. Weather is the real factor.
There are a few minor things that prevent a 5-star but as I said above, I'm overall happy with the work and believe this is a good reliable company. Having watched roofing companies all over my neighborhood over the years I would say the job site was more chaotic than I expected and could have been more care in protecting landscaping and other exterior property. Some of the work was completed well after dark which creates a little concern as it's easy to miss things when you lack daylight. Cleanup wasn't comprehensive initially and took some follow up messages and trips to get leftover debris. There was a several day lapse between the initial work and completion as other jobs took priority over the finishing details of mine. I think had this been communicated earlier, I would have been prepared, but my understanding was that my job was next in line and would get completed before the crew moved on to other houses.

This is my honest review and I encourage others to consider D-Wing for their projects. It's intimidating to select and put your trust in a company for a project of this scale and I'm happy with my choice. They are professional, pleasant and direct.

D-Wing construction did a great job replacing my cedar roof with asphalt. John and Mike helped me understand the process and choosing the right color. The crew did an amazing job, and cleaned up perfectly. I would highly recommend D-Wing for a roof replacement project!

Hector the sales rep was very responsive and professional. Was in and out after taking measurements and explaining the window features unlike the other companies which give unnecessarily long presentations. Vojtek the installer is an expert. Installed all windows beautifully and in a clean manner. Or house is now more comfortable. Thanks d wing!

D-Wing Construction recently completed a full siding replacement project on my home. In addition to the siding, an additional 1" of insulation was added. The quality of the materials (Hardie Board) and installation was outstanding. The project was much bigger than I imagined but the D-Wing crew was great. Brian in sales, Kyle in construction management and the project foreman were all outstanding. I'm pretty picky and I got what I wanted. This was a large and expensive project, money well spent!

Edit: As part of this project, D-Wing took down and re-installed a modestly complicated Shade Structure detail. The project was done in January so I only recently re-installed the full shade system (editing this in April). It looked like the detail was correct; however, you never know until the pieces are actually installed. Happy to report the the D-Wing crew re-installed the Shade Structure detail perfectly. It was within a 1/8" tolerance...perfect!!!!

Over a three year period, D-Wing replaced both the asphalt shingle and wood shake roofs on over 170 homes in our planned unit development located in Glenview. Dave Mirra and Mike Tullar were excellent to work with in every respect. They were supported by an excellent office staff and all the teams that worked on our buildings. Mr. Tullar was fantastic in dealing with individual homeowners requests. He was great in working with the engineering company we hired to oversee the project. Many residents opted to have additional insulation installed resulting in significant savings on their energy costs. They did an excellent job of cleaning up at the end of work every day including doing their best to recover all of the nails removed with the old roofing material. Our Village of Glenview Inspection Department seemed to be pleased also with the work done. I do not recall receiving any concerns from them. I give D-Wing 4 stars for doing a fantastic job in spite of many challenges including getting all the materials needed during a period where materials were in short supply.

I was referred to Christian Martin from a friend. Due to the nature of the work, a roof hail damage project, I was a bit worried about what to do and what not to do. Christian made it easy, from the estimates, walk throughs, coordination of work crews and most importantly to me, working through Insurance side of the process.

The work took a bit of time, but all the crews were on time, courteous, respectful, cleaned up after, and answered all the questions I could come up with.

Christian did a great job walking us through this ever step of the way. I will definitely refer folks to him.

D-wing installed my siding and claimed 10 year warranty. They have had to come out a couple times to repair the siding that had fallen down. After the recent storms, I needed them to repair it AGAIN. They claimed storm damage was not covered warranty and I would have to pay for the repair. I chose not to use them for the repair.

Two roof professionals stopped by without any tools and checked with their hands and stated nothing was wrong.
Both of them are unprofessional and not knowledgeable about the basic fire hazard. I had a terrible experience with their service. Isn't this real fire hazard?

We had our siding done. We had some damage from a wind storm. They came out and fixed it but since siding was 30 years old we replaced the whole house. Christian Martin was very professional, helped with our insurance company. Very satisfied.

I did my research, discovery, "homework", and interviewed 4 different contractors and ultimately selected D-Wing Construction to replace my roof shingles, gutters, and downspouts due to wind and storm damage.

I spoke with several employees within the D-Wing team but primarily dealt with Christian who made working with my insurance adjuster non-eventful. Their team was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The entire process from negotiation to installation was rather seamless, on-schedule, and I was timely apprised of each intermediate step in the process.

There were a few after installation items that needed follow-up attention, and Christian followed through to address all items to my satisfaction.
