Honestly, the only thing I had to chase them about was reminding them that I still needed to pay them. They were not pushy at all about pricing or payment at any time and focused really well on what I needed done and how they could do it.

Peerless had replaced the roof on a friend’s house in the neighborhood the previous season; so when we needed help after a storm, we contacted them. The owner, Blake, guided us through the whole process from start to finish.
As someone with some experience in the industry, I was impressed by him, our initial contact with him, their team, and the quality of all aspects of their work.
It’s easy to recommend Peerless Roofing for anyone looking for great communication, fair pricing, and top-quality work. It’s also very easy to give Peerless a 5-star review on all counts.

We had a bad water leak from our roof into the celing and walls of our home. Drywall, insulation, and home contents got soaked. I called Blake for an inspection. He came out immediately and identified the roof leak. He gave us quotes for repair and for roof replacement.He said, we coul probably wait a few years if we wanted to replace the roof. There was no pressure from him. I shopped other well recommended roofing companies. When I finished that process, I called Blake because his roof replacement price was far better than anyone else. And then I was in a hurry to stop the leak and fix the damage. Once again, Blake came out the same day I called and I signed the contract. He and his team had secured a permit, rearranged his job schedule, and scheduled our roof replacement wihin 2 days of signing the contract. They arrived at 6:00 am sharp with a crew of 10 -- 12 men and were finished by 2:00 pm that day. It's a large roof. Watching them work non stop and in what seemed to be in perfect unison. The restoration people were able to come in the next day thanks to Peerless. There was no more leak and a great looking roof with exactly what Blake said he would do according to the contract. We were very fortunate to have called Peerless. They're a stellar roofing company!!

Peerless Roofing in McHenry did a great job replacing my roof. Blake came out soon after my request for a quote and upon my approval, scheduled the work for the next week. The communication was excellent; Blake walked me through the process and gave valuable recommendations. I was very pleased with the finished product. The work met all of my expectations. After a recent thunderstorm with severe winds, I discovered several shingles scattered across my backyard. Mind you, my house is only two years old—but that’s a separate (and frustrating) issue with the builders. We had shingles blow off our roof on a Friday night windstorm. Called up Peerless that night and they came out the very next morning to inspect and repair. Blake and Jose helped evaluate the situation, help temporary fix the problem and then they replaced our roof the following week. In just a matter of 7 days they not only fixed the problem but totally replaced everything and gave us peace of mind and a brand new beautiful roof.

After obtaining quotes from multiple roofing companies, I awarded the business to Peerless Roofing. Blake arrived on time for every meeting, listened and responded to my requirements that the new roof must align in quality and style to the custom design of my home (original shingles no longer available). Blake provided a multitude of options, and we agreed on the final choice. We discussed all aspects of the project, including flashing color, skylight replacement, and enlarged gutter replacement to address damning in the ridges of the steeply pitched roofs. There was a delivery delay for the selected shingles, but Blake maintained contact throughout the delay. I should note that a storm had blown off a ridge cap, and Blake, on his own initiative, sent his team over to cover the ridge to prevent damage while we waited for the new shingles.
Two weeks ago today (May 19, 2025) Peerless replaced the roof and installed new gutters. Every aspect of this project has been completed to perfection, from roof removal, installation, and clean up. I have already received so many compliments on the new roof, and the new gutters match the existing soffit and fascia perfectly. I can honestly say that I have never engaged a contractor with more dedication to quality, customer satisfaction, and commitment to effective and timely communication with their client. Peerless not only met but exceeded my expectations in every aspect of this project. Their contract is comprehensive and addresses all items important to both parties (e.g. warranty of product and labor, certificate of insurance, pricing, etc.). Peerless is a professional company in every aspect and I highly recommend them – ask for Blake, he’s amazing, and so is his team!

We had squirrles that ate into our soffits and facia and were getting into our attic. We called Peerless and they came right out, gave us an estimate for the repairs and we scheduled them to come out a couple of days later to do the repairs. They arrived on time and completed their work both professionally and rapidly. We were very pleased with them and the work they accomplished. We were surprised that the men who did the work said that the estimate was too high for the needed work and that the bill would be reduced accordingly....and it was!

One phone call did it all! I explained to Blake that I think I needed a repair done on some loose shingles I had noticed. That day his foreman was in the area and when I came home from work Jose was already on the roof assessing the damage. Clearly this is a company that knows what they’re doing and has empathy for people’s concerns for their home. Peerless roofing should have been my first and last call! Prior to me reaching out to Blake, I consulted another company. That was the wrong move and thankfully I decided to reach out to a friend. Regrettably admitting the pitch was too much for me to handle, he said to call Blake at Peerless! Blake got back me that day and got it all set up. They saved me a lot of money! Clearly these guys know what they’re doing and take care of their customers. Take form this what you will but if I had to do it over again…. Peerless would be my first and only call.

Peerless Roofing in McHenry exceeded our expectations. I contacted several roofing companies online for quotes — some replied a week later and others never replied, but Blake from Peerless responded the next day. He met with us in person and provided a detailed estimate, covering everything from permits to cleanup.

We had 8 feet of architectural shingle caps come off the hip on a windy Friday. I called knowing there were storms coming on Sunday and through the week more storms so I called on Friday afternoon let a message and Blake called me right back. He came out on Saturday and made a temporary repair to keep us water tight until he matched our shingle color which was done on a Monday. They came back a couple of days later to fix the problem....on a Sunday morning! Who does that anymore? Blake, Jose & the team are the best.

It was a long drawn out process dealing with the insurance claim to replace our old roof but Blake was patient and guided us through the process all the way to completion. The installation was all done in 1 day with no issues at all. If family and friends ask about the roof, siding, or gutters I'll tell them don't worry I gotta guy!! I had a Roof shingle come off Blake and one of his helpers came out and looked at it at the time they did not have a matching shingle and there was rain coming the next 2 days so in the meantime they put a Membrane over where the Shingle was missing so it won't leak in the house and by God it did the trick. A days later Blake and his helper came out to finish the job when I came home from work you could not tell that there was something wrong, they did a great Job, I would recommend them to anyone.

Oddly enough, it was hard to get roofing contractors to come out and actually show up and keep their appointments for giving an estimate.
We had six different companies lined up and received quotes from and out of the six, I did get the best feeling of trust from Blake and Peerless Roofing. The first thing that stood out to me was the great communication every step of the way. From the moment I sent an initial message and received a quick response from Blake to the communication throughout our job with the foreman Jose and the after job follow up with Blake. I didn’t feel that typical “Salesman Routine”, instead i felt like Blake was very genuine and honest.
When Blake came out to assess our job and give a quote, he was incredibly thorough, and honestly made the process very easy. I explained some attic ventilation issues we had been having and he was able to explain exactly why and how we’d go about addressing that.
The prices were very fair for our complete roof tear off and new roof including new gutters and gutter guards. They were even able to install an attic fan (that I had purchased on my own) while doing the roof and route two bathroom fans i have so they vented properly instead of terminating in the attic.
The job itself was great. For old tear off, new roof and gutters, the job was completely done in about a day and a half. (One day for Roof and about a half day for gutters and gutter guards).
I didn’t expect the job to be done so quickly in the year which was an added bonus. We started getting quotes in January and February just to be prepared for spring and ended up getting some nice weather in March and got a call from Blake asking if we’d be ready earlier.
After job completion, the cleanup was very thorough as well. They came out several times after completion to spot check and walk the perimeter.
The new roof looks great, we honestly couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with Blake and Peerless Roofing. Every concern we had was addressed! Very professional job and service as a whole!

Peerless Roofing was an amazing choice for doing the restoration on my house after a tree fell during a storm, back in June. Blake came out to my house to inspect the property and complete a thorough assessment, soon after I called. He was available for me, every step of the way - when the insurance company came out to inspect the damage and make their own assessment; and again when the structural engineer came out to inspect the foundation. While this claim took a long time to settle, Blake assured me that this was a part of the process and that patience would be needed. Once the claim was settled, Blake and his team got started right away to repair the roof areas that were damaged and needed restoration, before the winter weather hit. With extremely cold temperatures and snow in the forecast, much of the restoration had to wait for warmer weather and was just completed in March. However, the lag in time for completion of the project had nothing to do with Peerless Roofing, but rather the insurance company settlement. I couldn't be happier with the job that these craftsmen did to make sure that my house would be okay during the winter months while we awaited warmer weather. My house now looks as good as new, and even better, thanks to Blake and his team. I will be sure to contact Blake for my next roofing, gutter or siding project. Discussed the work to be preformed and indicated that we were under a time constraint. Peerless was able to meet our timing and their quote was very competitive. They completed the roof installation which was excellent. And the cleanup was as if they were never there. I would recommend them to others.

Blake and his team beat out all the other competitors I was considering and did an excellent job, snowed the same morning and the work was flawless. Highly recommend. Blake and his team were professional and I received a competitive quote quickly. They were prompt and I was very happy with the roof and chimney box repair.

Blake's team was professional and courteous. Any questions of him were answered promptly. The job went as planned.Ony negative was that of the eight men, only the Foreman spoke any English. This would be ok if his English were better. The seal coat on the asphalt driveway was somewhat damaged, but Blake offered to have it redone which was Mighty Nice of him.

I lined-up four roofing companies for estimates. Peerless Roofing was the third company to provide an estimate. Based on the engaged and knowledgeable conversations with Blake, which were followed by Dushan's thorough evaluation of our roof, I cancelled the fourth appointment and selected Peerless Roofing. Dushan was the only evaluator who thoroughly examined our attic space, got onto the roof, took pictures, and then used a drone to show me what he found. Their price was competitive, the workmanship was very good, and they resolved all of our concerns. I highly recommend Peerless Roofing. Working with Blake and Dushan was a pleasure--they're experts!

Just had Peerless Roofing replace my roof and gutters and I could not be happier with the entire process and result. When things fell through with my previous contractor, I contacted Peerless and they took over seamlessly. Blake and his crew were professional and very courteous which is a rare commodity these days and most importantly, they left the yard looking like they were never there. This was key b/c having two young kids, I was worried about nails and debris being left behind but to our surprise, the yard was spotless after the work had been finished. Peerless Roofing was recommended to me by a neighbor who had his roof done by them approximately ten years ago. My experience with this company has been very good, starting with the initial visit and inspection through the installation of the gutters and downspouts.

Of all the roofers I had out to give estimates, Blake and his team were the only ones to physically go up on the roof to do an inspection. All the others merely stood on the ground and did visual inspections. Blake also gave a very honest assessment of the roof’s condition (i.e. that it could last another 2-3 years) whereas all the other roofers just said it needed to be replaced. This honesty was one of the reasons I gave Peerless the job. Their estimate was also very detailed, so as to make comparisons with other bids easy, whereas some of the “bids” were nothing more than a contract to sign with all the details done verbally.

Once the job was started, the crew worked extremely hard, from 6:30 in the morning until after 6 at night. All landscaping was covered and the group did a conscientious clean-up when the job was complete. The gutters were done the next day and that crew also worked very fast and did a great job. All in all, Peerless did a very professional job from beginning to end.

While not the cheapest company, I felt that the job they did was well worth the cost of the contract. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and family.

I had water leaking in from a flat section of my roof and Blake diagnosed the issues immediately. The entire section of roof and vents were removed and replaced with state-of-the-art materials in less than a day. Blake walked me through the entire process from start to finish. The crew was thorough and meticulous with their cleanup. What I appreciated the most, Blake didn't try to sell me on replacing my entire roof. Blake, his workers and the company were very professional. Many installers and in eight hours roof was completed. Clean up like nothing had been done , the next day gutters were completed. So happy with my home's transformation! Peerless did the roof, gutters and new siding on the chimney and dormers. I met Blake out of necessity because of hail damage but he ended doing a large part of the transformation. Excellent crew and very clean. Highly recommend.
