Portlandia Roofing

Yes I am a real customer who just had a roof installed. I usually don’t write reviews unless something goes terribly wrong or it was a particularly good experience. We’ve had our fair share of mini disasters with contractors but I’m happy to comment on the ladder.

From the start Steve the owner was very responsive. He was the first company I contacted and so I waited to get 3-4 other bids before circling back to Portlandia. He had me come to current job sites to get a look at the shingles in person and answered all of my questions so I decided to give them the business. So glad we did. About 2 days before my install date the roof decides to start leaking (off course). That same morning Steve had a crew there to stop the leak. As I mentioned he answered all of my questions (and I had a lot) and was on site most times to manage the job which you don’t see often. Fair pricing and good customer service! I believe that sets Portlandia apart! Thanks again for a very seamless and overall great experience. Highly recommend!!

At approximately 10:40am today while driving on I5 through Tualatin I witnessed a speeding Portlandia Roofing pickup truck cut across 4 lanes of traffic and nearly causing an accident. Reckless driving in the company vehicle is grossly unprofessional and shows everyone that the driver was willing to needlessly risk his life and the lives of everyone else on the road. If the driver absolutely has to disrespect other drivers in this way, he probably should avoid doing it when his company’s name and number is plastered on the side of the truck. I am willing to take this review down if my three year old son and I receive a genuine apology and a commitment to correcting and training the driver in accident avoidance. I’m not one to road rage so I feel that this is the absolute best alternative to correcting at least one person’s recklessness.

Owner, I just read your reply and though I agree most cases would warrant a call, I’d tried that and nobody answered. An apology followed with criticism of my second contact option makes the sincerity of your apology questionable. It also comes off as though the severity of the situation is being minimized. Your employee brought this on, not me. I drive with sense and do my best to prevent unnecessary risk to the lives of others. He could have killed someone. I recommend that you contact Google if this is libel. I said I’ll take it down when we have a genuine apology and commitment to rectify the employee’s behavior. I truly don’t believe that either has happened.

Steve and his crew installed new gutters and downspouts for me today, and they did SUCH a wonderful job! I am so impressed with the work and equally impressed with the communication and honesty. I HIGHLY recommend Portlandia Roofing, thank you doesn’t even begin to cut it!
