I thought I would get a local company in the neighborhood to do a small job for me. I needed a bathroom vent replaced. The estimate I was given was the “we don’t want to do it price”. 600 dollars plus parts for one vent. For a company that advertises they are the most affordable, I would like to know who their clients are. I can’t see how that’s affordable for one vent replacement.

We were very pleased with the process from start to finish. Communication from the office was good. Workers arrived on time and did a great job. Our roof and gutters look beautiful. Also, the workers cleaned up debris daily, which we appreciated.

Professional, efficient, and clean! We were super happy with Portland Roofing. Compared with other quotes we received Portland Roofing included higher rated materials, a better warranty, and competitive pricing. The job was completed on time. Clean up was very thorough. There was no damage to any landscaping. We couldn’t be more pleased with the entire project.

Quote- Rigoberto clearly explained the condition of our roof and other repair recommendations. He left a brochures and sample roofing materials for us to review, and we received a follow-up call within the timeline he stated.

Project- Gertrude provided excellent customer service (timely, patient, constant and consistent friendly and professional communication, etc.) before the project was started and throughout the project to completion. There was never a lapse in communication. We greatly appreciated Gertrude’s prompt call (clearly communicating the problem along with options) and pictures emailed when an additional repair was needed/recommended. Repair recommendations did not feel like pressured sales tactics. The onsite team showed up as scheduled, were professional and did an excellent job cleaning up at the completion of our roofing project. Our entire yard, driveway, front door way walkway were spotless. Well done onsite team!! Amber was also a pleasure to work with.

I am very pleased with the work on my roof. They were efficient and very safety conscious. They also showed respect for my property during their work and before they left my home. The workers were polite and so hard-working. Also, the office staff was on top of every detail.

Portland Roofing did an outstanding job on our roof and gutters! When they removed the old roof, we discovered that it was only shiplap without any plywood decking. They provided detailed photos to document the issue and walked us through several options for moving forward. We chose their recommended solution, and it turned out fantastic! The crew was professional, respectful, and ensured all debris was thoroughly cleaned up. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of their work and the entire experience. Writing this review approximately 6 months after our new roof was installed.

Pros: Good communication from company, workers were friendly. Final product looks nice.

Cons:
1. I asked them to build in extras to the bid to avoid change orders. The estimator was unable to see many things that eventually became change orders. We ended the project with somewhere close to 5 change orders. 2 of them were visible and should have been in the original quote.
2. I specifically asked if the gutter guards could deal with pine needles, the office folk said "absolutely", They fill up with pine needles 2 times in 6 months and are rendered useless until cleaned out by hand each time.
3. Their pricing was the 2nd highest bid I received out of 4 bids, after all the change orders it became the highest total payout of all the estimates.

Portland Roofing just completed my roof. I have replaced several roofs through the years and it just occurred to me that I have never had a roofing contractor who was so strong at communication. Getrude reached out daily to share the crew's progress and projected completion date. When it rained midway through the job, the crew covered the exposed portion of the roof so the house was water-tight. And when the Portland rain continued for several days, the crew showed up on a Sunday morning to catch the first good weather in several days to complete the job. I highly recommend Portland Roofing.

Excellent experience with Portland Roofing. I got 2 bids for the job, and they were comparable. I decided to go with Portland Roofing because they said they could get the job done within my timeline. They communicated steps and necessary information throughout the entire process and provided all the documentation I needed for my insurance. 100% recommend.

We had a leak in our front room qwe called Portland Roofing co and they promptly sent a guy out to check it out.
He gave us a bid that looked good.
I told them to go ahead with the project.
A ball park date was set and they kept us informed as the date got close. Work was done today very nice job the guys cleaned up one guy had a metal detector to look for nails and metal on the ground.
lf I have a need for further roof work I would call these guys back in a heart beat.
The people in the office are very nice and helpful.
I think they should give a military discount as well on all work

Great job, good price, looks good, and no leaks! They did a reroof replaced a leaking skylight, and 5 trim ( bargeboards ) boards. Worked hard in some good weather and some pretty crummy weather. After job was done, I couldn't tell they had been there they had cleaned up so well.

Portland Roofing Company made some needed repairs to the aging roof on my newly purchased home, providing increased assurance and peace of mind that we will get the most out of this roof before needing a complete replacement. I trust their professional opinion on that and appreciate that they did not push me to buy a brand new roof. Everyone was prompt, professional, and courteous — from the estimator to the office staff to the on-site crew. Would hire them again.

I knew when we bought this house that the roof would need replaced pretty soon. These expenses bring anxiety and uncertainty. I kept asking myself, "Who can I really trust to do this and do it right?" After 3 estimates we found these folks and looked no further. After that meeting, the anxiety and uncertainty was gone. From start to finish, their communication was impeccable. Between scheduling, deciding on materials, sending photos of the subsurface structural damage and discussing options for repair; they were always checking in to make sure our questions were answered and that we understood what was going on and why. They not only did an amazing job with the finished surface, but repaired all of the rotten fascia and soffet boards as well as laying a whole new plywood roof over my ancient barge board roof. I can actually walk on it without fearing falling through... As a fellow professional business owner, I really appreciate when other small businesses have the quality control and customer service dialed in. Portland Roofing was amazing. They were so communicative from beginning to end. They were super transparent about cost, and if anything shifted they called immediately to talk me through it. At some point an addition was added to my house before me. They were super honest about how things might change once we take the old roof off so I was prepared. They explained to me the different venting options and why they were needed. Overall super excellent and I would use them again but hopefully not for 30 so years.

I set out looking for a contractor to demo my chimney and in the process learned that I was due for a new roof. I got a few quotes and decided to hire Portland Roofing Company. From the beginning of the process to the very end they were helpful, friendly, responsive, and professional. I also had to hire an HVAC company to work on re-routing the furnace vent since it had been venting through the chimney. Gertrude was amazing and helped me so much with coordinating with the HVAC company, which was difficult. Due to issues with the HVAC company not being responsive or communicative with anyone we had to delay the roofing job. With the help of Gertrude and my partner, we got the HVAC work done in a timely manner. The roofing crew were wonderful! They worked quickly and did an amazing job with the cleanup. I was surprised to see how clean my property was after the work was complete. My roof is beautiful, looks great, and I am so happy I chose this company. For a relatively small job, we received top notch service. Gertrude was very helpful in answering a lot of our questions regarding our ridge vent. The onsite team was quick and professional. Would use them again.

Portland Roofing Company replaced the roof on my last house about 10 years ago when we went to shingles from shake. That was an excellent experience so when we moved to our new house and had a leak I called them first. They were prompt to remedy the situation and gave me an honest assessment of the health of the roof. They said it was nearing end of life but that I should have a few more years before needing to replace it. Well, fast forward about 8 years and they just replaced this roof. They show up when they say they are going to, do the work that they quoted, contact you promptly when something unforseen is discovered, present various options to solve the problem at different price points, then clean up and head out after a job well done. I wish more people did business to this standard. I don't expect to have to call them again for this roof, but if we move you can bet that I will call them first if we have any roofing needs.

From my first contact with Portland Roofing, from bid and all through the completion of the roof, I had a very pleasant experience. Angie and Gertrude were both extremely professional and pleasant to work with. Gertrude always kept me informed of the progress of the roof and any additional costs before proceeding. Really, I can't think of any business that has better customer service.

I got a great quote from Portland Roofing after my friend referred me to their company. They were professional, upfront and communicative. My roof was done within a day and a half and everything was cleaned up around my house. I highly recommend Portland Roofing and am very happy with my new roof!

The roof looks great. They took care of all the repairs necessary to warranty the roof. I don't expect I will ever have to worry about this roof again. Their clean up afterwards was almost perfect. Only a few small details we needed to clean up. They rated 5 stars in my book.

Working with the office staff was easy, and they shepherded me through the process so we got the job done as needed (it could have taken me forever if not for their gentle reminders!!). The gutters are just what I wanted/needed, and I am super happy.

We had to get the roof replaced on our 1907 house when we discovered that it was leaking after a big storm in January 2021. Kelli came by for a consultation - she was very personable and helpful. She walked us through all the options and talked about funding this project. We ended up also getting our small garage roof's replaced because it was also damaged and aging. They were on schedule with their work and it looks gorgeous from the ground level. We haven't had any problems with leaking since then and it's been over a year & a half.

We forgot to review this company back when this work was done but since then we've had other contractors on-site to get estimates for a different project and each one has complimented the craftsmanship with which our roof was done! So, I'm leaving a positive review now!

The ladies in the office were very friendly and communicated with us through the whole job and were also willing to answer all my questions,the roofers showed up they were very professional they cleaned up everyday before going home and after the job was done they made sure to clean up around the whole property, we also feel that we received a fare price for all the materials and the work that was done on our roof and will recommend this company to friends and family.

This is the second roof that Portland Roofing had done for me. They always have the lowest bid but do very good work. Their bid was seven thousand dollars less then the highest bid I got. They gave me a whole folder of information on the different types of shingles I could get and were very good at answering my many questions. They were honest and upfront about prices if I needed more plywood for the roof or other addons. I had to get two bathroom vents cut and the crew let me on the roof and showed me exactly how they were doing it. They were very quiet while they were working, I hardly knew they were on the roof. The crew did a great job of cleaning up before they left, I went on the roof and inspected their work (I'm not a roofer but I know how flashing is suppose to be done) and as far as I can tell they did a very good job.

Very happy with Portland Roofing Co. and the work they did on my house! Quoted me for the lowest price I could find for a full tear off and new roof installation. They were able to replace the cap of an old sun tunnel as part of my quote and give me the rest of the box to replace the parts on the inside, which was so much nicer than having to find another contractor just to come and replace that one part on the outside (not all companies will do that work with the sun tunnels). Only had a few instances come up that required a change order, and the process of them sending you pictures and reaching out for approval felt smooth and efficient. I highly recommend Portland Roofing Co. and plan to give them as a reference to anyone looking for high quality at a fair price!

Worked with Kelli, very professional and easy to work with. Only trouble I had was weather related. But not their fault. Had a new roof put on my garage so I could have solar installed. Very happy with both companies. (Solar and Roofing). Would highly recommend them.

My neighbor recommended PRC and I used them as well. New roof was installed. Very messy and loud as expected, but the roof looks beautiful and the grounds were cleaned up nicely. Communication was handled through the main office. Job was completed on time.

Had Portland Roofing do a complete tear off last year, They did a amazing job. But I wish they would have warned us about all the debris that was going to be left in our attic/crawl space. Being Disabled I don't get in there much but wow what a mess all over our things stored in there. Now I need to hire someone to clean up the mess.

We have neglected to clean our roof for over 5 years. The build up of Moss, pine needles and other natural debris was quite extensive. This company provided great service, cleaned the roof, re-attached the gutters and downspouts - even in a horrible downpour and awful rains. I am very pleased with the work, the responsiveness and after work cleanup provided. Recommend and will call again.

Overall good experience getting a new roof. Install took 3 days, looks good afterwards and seems to be working as expected in the rain. Negative experience with surprise additional costs after the roof install was over. We were told we owed an additional 1,500 over our contracted price after the roof was complete. This additional cost, on top of the contracted price, was a LOT more than we expected, and being told after the project was complete felt a bit troubling to us. We had no wiggle room and had to pay the extra charge.

I had a leaking garage roof, so I contacted Portland Roofing in October 2020. Kelli and Rigoberto came out to meet me and check out my roof. Portland Roofing was 1 of four bids I received. I went with them for several reasons, there was no hard sale, they didn’t talk down to me, they offered me a cost-effective suggestion, and I liked them. I felt very comfortable with them, the other company’s sent out a salesman, this was a unified team and felt more personable.

They informed me right away that because of the weather and the low sloop of my roof they were not going to be able to fix my roof right away, so they sent out a couple of men to put up plastic tarps to protect the roof for the winter, which was a huge relief. During this whole process and the long wait, they kept in contact with me on my status. Javontae was a pleasure to work with keeping me updated and informed.

I was notified when the wood was going to be delivered and when Portland Roofing would show up to install it. They sent out a five-man team, who stripped down the roof, put on new plywood, put down water shield, felt, and shingles. They also installed two heat vents. They did this in a day. They were very nice and friendly, very hard workers, and they also did a great clean-up job. I’ve already told several co-workers and friends about them.

When it comes time to replace the roof on my house, I’m calling Portland Roofing Company again.

They did my neighbors roof. it looks great. They also used my lawn as a convenient turn around for their dumptruck driving around on it multiple times. I have it on video.

I apologize, as it turns out I work from 8am until 630 pm, and only found my yard driven on when I got home and subsequently checked my security cameras. I am unfortunately unable to make personal calls during my shifts. I am sorry that you are being held accountable publicly, if that is uncomfortable, I suggest reminding your crews not to behave in a way that would be embarrassing. I feel no obligation to allow you any opportunity for anything. The remedy, is to not drive across property you don't own or aren't contracted to work on. Many people understand the common etiquette, "If it's not yours, don't touch it (or in this case drive a dumptruck across it" So you can see I have added photos, your crew all up on my property, driving across my lawn, and later across my plants on the far side of the driveway.

We had to wait awhile for the job to begin, but the crew who put on our new roof was fantastic. Hard working, efficient and organized.

My experience start to finish has been horrendous. The bid they gave me was around 8k (including my detached garage). My house is 1000 square feet. They did state that it may go up based on replacing plywood. I know the roof is old, and I was expecting maybe another 3k or so. They came back with a change order of nearly $7,000 in additional costs (Excluding my garage, which was included in the original bid). Needless to say, this was very upsetting, to have the bid nearly double. This was also quite confusing that the change order excluded my garage, only for them to try and tack on hidden costs at a later date. Kelli, the owner, stated that we can remove the garage (at no charge) so I agreed, saving myself approximately 4k total (for a single car detached garage). Kelli stated I must sign NOW or they’ll stop work. A rain storm was coming, they had my roof off, and I had no choice but to sign.

The same day I signed the change order for the house I contacted several general contractors for a second opinion(s) on the high cost they were charging. EVERY Contractor said that what they were installing is excessive as well as the charge is excessive. I requested (prior to any work being completed) that they not install any additional vents and to put back the 5 original as stated in the contract. Kelli refused. I asked for measurements of the roof because it seemed like they order excessive amounts of plywood. Kelli refused. They over ordered plywood and installed 7 additional vents, (1 kitchen and 2 bath) in a 1 bath home, 12 vents total. Why does my 1 bath house need 2 bath vents? Kelli had no answers.

During installation they ripped my fireplace flu THROUGH THE CEILING, disconnecting it from the fireplace. Kelli refused to pay for any damages. Finally when they were completed, I received the bill with 7 days to pay. When I reviewed the bill, it did not include ANY breakdown and referred to an ‘attachment’ that was not included (balance due $8,216.49). I let them know that I will be removing the damages for the fireplace as well as the venting that I requested not be installed. I mailed a check that day minus those fees ($6,838.99 total). Kelli then became very upset, sending my personal information to a random real estate agent (because she got my address confused with a different one that was pending sale) stating that she is putting a lien on my house because I don’t pay my bills and demanded that this realtor take action.

She kept quoting the contract repeatedly trying to cover herself that she isn’t responsible for the damage and I can’t decline the venting because of the signed change order. It clearly states in her contact that I can refuse what they recommend. I pointed this out in the contract, she refused to listen. Kelli refused to take any responsibility, and just kept threatening me with a lien on my house and litigation. She sent me an updated bill now $8629.29 (including multiple cancellation fees, including the garage, and lien fee for my house). Two weeks later she placed a lien on my house, and a new bill came $8948.92. Total paid, $13,308.92 (excluding fireplace repair) that I had to pay to get a lien removed. I strongly encourage you to look up Kelli Sue Greenfield’s past prior to engaging in ANY business with this company. It tells a very clear story of how unethical she is. A great article was written from Oregonlive. She offered me a $1000 off the last bill if I’d agree to no CCB complaints, or writing any negative reviews. I paid the extra 1k, because she can’t continue to do business this way. She is a bully that thinks she can do what she wants. She puts people in vulnerable positions only to take advantage. My guess why there are not more reviews like this is because people are scared of her threats of liens and litigation (and aren’t able to say anything negative as part of their agreement). I hope this will save someone a lot of money and stress, I wish I would’ve known.

Had our garage re-roofed and new gutter installed, as well as a small fix to prevent an annoying leak at the patio. Not the cheapest quote we received (also not the most expensive!), but the most professional and responsive to the needs of our small project and took the time to really understand what we wanted. Once the project got scheduled, the work was completed quickly and efficiently, and Angie was in constant communication throughout the process. Very happy and would work with them again.

In my search for a roofer, I chose Portland Roofing over the other bids after reading their story and business philosophy. The whole staff was great to deal with. I opened up my roof to see if I can patch up a small portion, to my surprise it ended up being in very bad shape that i needed a new complete roof. After we signed the agreement, they came as soon as possible and put a tarp on the whole exposed area of the roof until they were able to get it redone. The office helped though out the process keeping me posted on any changes and time frame and the roofers did a fantastic job. I definitely would use them again for another project. We had a bad roof leak that another company couldn't fix within the first month of purchasing our first home and since this was a very overwhelming thing to grasp and take on so early we received many quotes. They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. They suggested changing out my skylight at the time of re-roofing since the skylight was all fogged over and it would be cheaper to do it during the project. They also redid my gutters as they were rusted through. So I got a new roof, skylight, and gutters for what some companies bid for just a roof. They are fairly priced, the workmanship is great and they cleaned up all the mess before they left!! I highly recommend Portland Roofing! Wow it sounds like I’m related to them but trust me I am not!!

Their crew just finished my house and garage. Workmanship was excellent, communication with the office for any changes was very prompt and efficient. They have a great system and excellent bids, I would use them again without getting any other bids, I like their work.--tom swanson
