Updated review (bumped from 1 to 3 stars): This entire ordeal started in August of 2024. It took an entire year of relentless back-and-forth, broken promises, and threats of legal action before I finally received the last of the equipment Poly originally promised — in July 2025. And it only happened because the sales company, not Poly, ended up paying out of pocket to make it right.

Even with everything finally installed, the fact remains: Poly lied, repeatedly. Their oversight of sales partners is nonexistent, and their accountability is worse. If I hadn’t kept detailed written records and threatened legal action, I doubt they would’ve followed through at all.

If you're thinking about working with Poly, get everything in writing. Do not trust a word said by anyone representing them — and be prepared to fight to get what you paid for.

Selling solar panel setup, promising 13kWh capacity, with real world production being only half of that number, installers left trash on premises and in the attic, when installing a breaker in electrical panels they screwed the breaker in and drilled the whole through the drywall on the other end. Never fixed the issue going on 6 months. Post installation support does not exist, once they have the money and panels are installed - you’re SOL if you need help. They are gone! Phones magically stop being answered
Don’t trust their promises on tax credits, so your own research on IRS website. Solar credits are NEVER refundable.

Which fast efficient, quick knowledgeable, easy to talk to I give him a five stars or 10 out of 10 recommended

I had the solar panels installed in July 2022. Fast-forward to April 2024. The panels are no longer producing. It's now November 2024. The panels are no longer producing. I've contacted them several times. They came to my house one time and never came back. Why pay for panels that don't even produce? I sent several emails with no results. If I had to do this all over again, I would have never installed the solar panels. It's a complete waste of money. When selling you the panels, they conveniently don't tell you you need to purchase a large battery to support a small number of rooms. The larger the battery, the more rooms it can support. It would help if you had the battery to store the power for the evenings or days when the sun is not bright like a storm. Then, you still rely on the electrical company as a backup. I'm still paying an expensive light bill and paying off the panels where it does not produce power. I even emailed them to come and take the panels back. Since they won't respond to my messages
I figured this was the next best thing.

Honestly, I feel that solar sales in general is a complete scam. First, the salesman shows up trying to get you to purchase a $50,000 system. The power company then caps your production at about 50% max, keeping you unable to be reliant on your own energy production. Then, once the installers(boys) show up to install the panels, they decide to place them where they want because it's easier and they can get the job done quicker. They were literally throwing the panels around, almost trying to break them as if hoping they wouldn't last up to their warranty. The absolute carelessness of the installers was ridiculous. Before you get sucked into an excruciatingly expensive product, do the math and realize you're probably much better off just paying your electricity bill. Do not trust this company or their lack of professionalism and transparency. This place is a complete scam. Do your homework and never let someone sell to you the same day.

The installers were very polite and worked hard in the heat and humidity. Did a great job cleaning up after themselves, too.

The Guru Crew did a great job of keeping me informed of what they were doing and any concerns that came up. They were also very accommodating of any changes I wanted.

Showed up on time and ready to work. Walked us through the entire process from start to finish. Professional crew that got the job done quick and efficient.

Installation crew arrived well within the scheduled time frame. I received a warm introduction from the entire crew. Given an indept overview of the install. Answered any an all questions to my understanding. Thoroughly policed the area after completing the install and informed of the pending follow-up inspection. Courteous and professional staff.

They kept me very well informed as to what they were doing. If I noticed anything wrong they were very quick to get the issue handled. They were great.

Last yearI had a leak in my roof where the panels were attached. Poly Energy came out to fix and up until this week it seemed as if all was good. This weak the leak happened again but this time worse. Matt Rich, Poly Energy came to check it out. He took pictures Before and after and showed them to me. He did mention that one of the “poles”
Connecting the panels was missing a footing and that could be the cause as it seems to be laying on the roof and could be putting stress on the roof. He was polite and informative. Did a great job and fingers crossed it will stick this time.

JoeL And installation team were very professional and courteous. They finished the job in a timely manner and explained how the system works.
They aslo answered any questions that I had to make me feel more comfortable about the process. I would definitely recommend them to others. This is a top notch Team!! Thank you

Good afternoon. The gentleman who did our solar panels, were very polite . And when I asked them how the panels would work, they explained to me how they were going to be installed and how they would benefit us.

I had a great experience with my solar installation crew. Mr. Anthony and his group were very friendly. Very professional and polite. I highly recommend Mr. Anthony and his group. The work was done as promised on time. This group is very knowledgeable about what needs to get the work done. I'm very pleased with the quality installation. Highly recommended. Five stars.

So happy about our solar panels! The summer sun is intense and constant, generating so much electricity that we are more than covering the electric bill. April, May and June we have - even as temperatures kept rising in Columbus GA, NO electric bill for three months now. I only pay for my solar financing. A savings for our family of over $400 just during those months. This savings was after subtracting out our monthly finance payment. The truth is we’ve been saving every month since our October installation last year but the summer months are profound. Our air conditioning is running full tilt, set at 74 degrees. I may have added a bill with the financing of the solar panels but have more than covered the cost of it with the savings. Signed, heading out to dinner to spend a bit of the savings

Very professional. Fixed issues they noted and kept us up to date on what they were doing the whole time. I would recommend this company and this crew (Shaquille Brocks crew).

They did an amazing work and they had a very positive attitude! My solar panels looks phenomenal!!! They showed up right on time and finished on time so their time management is everything especially when it’s the weekend and have so many things to do. I highly recommend them!!

The company handled all of the technical considerations--permits, engineering, etc.--in a hassle-free way and the install team did a great job putting up all panels in only 7 hours. Looking forward to the savings.

Anthony’s and his installation crew were awesome. Got the job done quick fast and in a hurry. They were very helpful with making sure everything looked good and attentive to not have any trash left behind.

I do not own any part of this company and my review does not reflect their product. This review reflects their customer service. I did experience a situation that required their attention. They called almost immediately, walked me through a process where both myself and a booking agency helped me to completion. Emiphasize the word completion. Therefore, whatever your needs may be in this company, trust they will take great care of you

PolyEnergy did a great job on my original install. I recently contracted them to add an addition to my solar power system. Joe (the electrician) did a great job at engineering the addition. All the roofers were great. Matthew (I think he was the head roofer) was particularly conscientious and meticulous about getting everything connected correctly. A real clean job. Would highly recommend PolyEnergy!

The Electricians Freddie and Hayden are great and did an exceptional job with my install. Both were focused, professional, courteous, and respectful. My outside panel installers Berto and his team were also professional, attentive, focused, and courteous. I look forward to passing inspection. Please be sure to provide ALL these guys and these teams/workers a cooler, water, electrolyte drinks, and even healthy snacks. They are working hard in outside heat and very hot attics and really need to remain hydrated. Oh, and a first aid kit, hard hats, and padding for their back and chest for protection from the roof nails in the attics. Thank you, T. Smith-Ponds

Warm welcoming feeling from everyone involved. We had a great experience with everyone involved in our Solar project. They were very helpful and did a great job!

Do not trust this company's salesman!!!!! they'll lie to you every chance they get just to make the sale. And I know that's what salesmen are known for but these were larger than normal salesman lies. For example they promised us that the solar panels would make our bill next to nothing if we were to pay anything it might be $20 a month in electricity. This shiesty salesman didn't even sell us enough panels to cover the cost of our payment to the loan company. And it only took about $50 off of our bill. So you factor in $200 monthly payment minus the $50 it saves us every month we're paying an extra $150 a month because we got solar through poly energy. The installation of the panels themselves was decent I guess don't do any add-on Services through them such as spray foam insulation. I'm pretty sure they just hire two crackheads off the street rented all the equipment and what looked like a scene from Ghostbusters prayed the roof And only the roof. Do yourself a favor do not trust this company.

Great people. They really helped us out on an emergency repair of our solar system. They were nothing but polite, kind, and helpful.

An amazing group of people! I flew into town to do an emergency solar repair that I didn't know what to expect until assessing the situation. They saved our bacon by helping us out. Would highly recommend this solar company. Thanks again, Poly Energy! You guys rock.

Everything was great from the beginning! Do your research before using this company. Excuse after excuse in getting the system installed. Should have cancelled after the first issue with scheduling.

Turn on: still off, (January 2024) not in use. Several excuses for delay.

Today, I requested they remove the equipment! Since my electricity bill doubled. Next step is legal action. Will update if ever remedied.

Update: system installed end of January. Still, do your research companies.

They started the project 7/21/23 and still haven't completed the job. I had no insulation in the house from Sept. to Jan. The air flow from ductwork is not working properly. Before the panels, if I set my thermostat to 65 degrees, my house was very hot. Now, I set it at70degrees and it is still chilly. My electric bill is higher.
They promised to help with electric bills because of lack of insuation but that never happened. the techs are ALWAYS have excuses for being 6 hrs late and their equiment ALWAYS breaks down. This company doesn't give all the details beware. I have to pay my electric company a monthly fee of $59 to rent a meter. But I didn't have to rent a meter before the solar panels. They failed to give details that will affect my budget for ever. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Poly Solar is so incompetent you need to stay away from! They are a bait switch organization!! The sales team will sale you a bill of goods!! My experience today in dealing with the incompetent customer service! My customer service person Ginger really tries to help! The statement that she was getting from her operations manager was so far out of context that you could believe anything that you were told. There project management skills are so poor it’s incredible that they are in business!! I am still waiting for their operations management to call me back and explain why they do not communicate with the customer!! My installation crew shows up at 10 am. They go to lunch at 12pm they return from lunch at 445 pm, So I call customer service and get no answer I leave multiple messages! No call back I reached out to put via text to my scheduler Ginger she tried to get information from operations manager! Again bad information. The story goes the project manager was missing parts. They are 194 miles round trip to get the parts no communication at all telling the customer what is going on. So total incompetence in project management side !! Total incompetence in the management team!! So if I would have to do this again I would run away with my hair on fire!!! So I would stay so far away from this incompetent company as I could. I was so high on the deal I had three neighbors ready to sign contracts for 25 k the purchase price for service! After what happened today they will not even consider Poly Solar! So in closing I wouldn’t let Solar put panels on a dog house! I’m hoping that the leadership team at Poly will reach out and explain the them selves! I doubt they will! Again stay as far away as you can from this company!! Totally incompetent!!

Sept 2023 Update this is absolutely unacceptable!! 52k worth of equipment and NOT IN USE. DEFINITELY NOT HAPPY WHAT SO EVER

End of October 2023 (everything has been on our house since August 2023) Update this very expensive system Is still not in use!!!
Now we all's well want is this equipment taken off our house and all the holes fixed!!!, because we are not paying the power company and for equipment NOT IN USE!!

These guys keep calling and calling and calling….utilizing area codes that are associated with me but not them. They’ve used multiple different codes all located in areas of Florida where I have connections. But they are located in South Carolina. That’s pretty deceptive. I won’t be dealing with anyone or any business that’s starts off mildly fraudulent. 0/10

Top of the line account management. After receiving zero help from Duke Energy following the bankruptcy of our original company, I was referred to Poly Energy and their help with my situation was outstanding. Kudos to Yvette for her efforts.

Had the privilege of meeting Matthew Rich and his crew today at my place of employment. They are very friendly, professional, and hard working. I'm thinking about getting solar panels at my home now thanks to Matthew. He explained how simple it is to have solar panels on your home and now I want them at my house.

Never interacted with this company before today, but just experienced a pretty negative situation in our neighborhood which is posted clearly for no solicitation. Four individuals from Poly Energy in a heated exchange with a neighbor, disregarding requests to leave based on Lexington law regarding solicitation postings. Can't say much for sales acumen if they're wasting 10 minutes intimidating residents instead of moving along to somewhere they might actually make a sale...

Had a great experience with the whole team at Poly Energy. From sales presentation and discussion ans design of system to installation day , to connection. Great communication and great results. And reduction of electric bill is exceeding expextstions.

Mike called me to give me more information on going solar as requested and he was awesome! I've spoken with a few Solar companies and this company provided the best rate so far and there are many companies here in South Carolina. I went with the right one! Great information, communication and I get a chance to get $500 when I refer someone! Yes I spent some money but this company is giving me the chance to get some of that back! Now that's a good deal!

I can't say anything bad about this company! Poly Energy has offered to help me go solar by offering more service's than just solar. Who knew! My roof wasn't in best shape for adding panels nor was my attic properly insulated. Poly took all of my needs into consideration and fixed the roof, removed the old insulation and added spray foam! Not only am I saving money on my energy bill, I've also added more value to my home! I made the right choice to go with Poly Energy

Hey guys out there who maybe interested in doing solar business with this company please be very careful in this industry. Unfortunately I had a solar client who I referred to poly energy though Johnathan Rogers and Scott Denson. After client ground mount was completed I reach out several times to guys about my fully commission I texted and called multiple times. Also spoken to there boss Marvin Parker who also promised to speak to both individuals and make it right to me as the solar specialist that I get paid. He later went on a disappearing role by avoiding me know one has any answers why I was never compensated for my solar clients. Bottom line folks these guys are very untrustworthy and unethical with poor workman ship do not not trust any of them solar wise or business oriented. I will never refer anyone to this company or individuals going solar.

Lack of communication during the 7 month process waiting for start of project. After several attempts to get a "go" date, I'm told weather permitting to install panels. So I suggest we start on inside electrical work because of the need to be home for access to electrical panel and the weather has no factor in work.
Finally the day comes as agreed to upgrade electrical panel, the city turns off entire house power and finally 2 hours later Poly Energy show up to install panels on roof. Not at all as planned for me to be home that day. At this point, I assume they conduct their business in such a way that if a problem came up after install, I would be screwed. I told them take there things and go. I'll find another contractor.

4 years ago I had Polyenergy install my solar panel system and Battery a 46k system. But they literally outsourced everything meaning they had a different company install everything(panels, battery etc) what a mess, They sold me the Tesla battery(they couldn't get it, this was way before the pandemic). For about a year this system didn't work, they did pay my electric bill for a bit but that in no way covered up the problems I had. They switched everything over for an LG battery, that didn't work so well the guys literally dropped the battery outside my house needless to say it didn't work so they had to get another battery. Fast forward 4 years later I'm having huge leaks in my roof from the install(was a new roof) and my battery doesnt work due to a recall. Polys has me chasing down the company that installed the panels(Gosolarize or Solarize) they're not even answering me back. I know this is a long story but I need people to understand what kind of companies these are. I'm paying 400 a month with leaks in my roof and a battery that doesn't work. BTW I talked to Marvin one of the owners of Polyenergy and he asked me if I should claim the leaks on my Homeowners ins, what do I say to that? I'm now in a position where I have to Sue just to get the roof fixed. I swear I have people asking me who installed my system so they'll know who not to use. These two companies Gosolarize/Polyenergy won't back what they sold me therefore I would move on to more reputable companies.

Used these guys to foam insulate my nee metal shop. Bryant came out and did an awesome job. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly and cleaned up afterwards to better than we they came. I couldn’t be happier with the job. Thank you guy’s.

Highly professional and caring staff who make sure the job is done efficiently and correctly! I am so happy with my new solar system and the blown insulation in my attic. It is so much cooler up there! Looking forward to retirement some day with low energy bills!

Great prices! Had a slight problem, and they went extremely out of their way to correct it and keep me satisfied.

They didn’t keep their word. I drove almost an hour with traffic to meet at their location in Irmo, SC for a no show and no acknowledgment saying they were late at all. Red Flag for me I wouldn’t do business with them for sure!

From the day David made his proposal, signing the contract, setting up the system every one was great to work with, on time, respectful, answered questions, clean in appearance, tools and vehicle in great shape and the jobside was cleaned up every time they left for the day.
Dana had everything under control in the office with coordination and paperwork.She is the oil to make the wheels turn smooth without a squeak.
This is how a business needs to be run to make the customers satisfied.

It has been a year since our solar panels and LG Chem battery were installed. We are still satisfied with the outcome of the service and installation.

Poly Energy exceeded my expectations throughout the entire process and I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in a PV system with a battery installation. I will add a third picture later, which will include my critical loads panel.

I was able to receive a personal consultation and it was taylored to my home and my needs for my family!
