Water was draining down roof line and entering chimney. Upon evaluation, the chimney corner boards, chimney flashing and backing for Hardie Board siding needed replacing. This work required both roofing skills and experience with Hardie Board and Hardie Plank. Fortunately, Guss Plair met all requirements. I was very pleased with Guss’s evaluation of the task, clearly stated proposal, estimate, and project management. His crew as appeared to work well together without distractions and respectful of our property. I was very pleased from initial contact into completion. I expect to use Plair Homes when I replace my complete roof.

Guss has been fantastic to work with from the beginning, very responsive and made sure to explain every step before work even started. I had rotting 30 year old siding on my entire two-story chimney and the whole thing had to be taken down to the studs and all new cement siding installed as well as roof work done with new flashing around the sides of the chimney. Guss, Pedro, and the rest of the crew worked non-stop, did a great job, and now I never have to worry about having issues again. I had previously had a small amount of work done on the chimney by another company and I spent two days picking up screws, nails, pieces of wood and shingles and random bits of metal out of my back yard. Pedro and the crew cleaned up every last bit - everyone was great to work with!

I have been working with Guss Plair for several years now in replacing about 10 roofs (so far) on my rental houses. I have NEVER been disappointed with him, his services, his crew, or his prices. Gus and his team did a fantastic good installing a new roof on my home. As I reviewed the quotes a few things stood out:
1. Gus was using superior products. When I asked one of the other roofers about the difference their response was that they only used the superior products in valley and not the entire roof. Gus used it on the entire roof.
2. Gus uses his own employees and does not contract out the work..more importantly he carries appropriate Workmen's Comp and Construction insurance.
3. Gus didn't require any funds upfront and only sent me the invoice after all the inspections had been done. He provided a release of the lien, certificate of completion and warranty paperwork along with the invoice.
4. I shared with Gus that I was in the process of changing insurance carriers as I was having the roof completed. Gus documented not just the new roof he was installing but also the construction of my roof which resulted in my annual insurance premium going down by over $1,200.
5. As I confirmed licenses I found that Gus has both a Certified Roofing license as well as a Certified Residential Contractor. Gave me a comfort level that should any unforeseen items pop up (my roof was 25 years old) Gus was capable to handle
6. Even though Gus' quote was superior in terms of the product and services provided it was right there with the 4 other quotes I got in terms of price. Made it a very easy decision
Once Gus and his team started the work I was very happy with the work. The team led by Pedro was very professional and courteous and Gus did a fantastic job of keeping me informed of the progress.

Guss was great. I had three estimates for a roofing repair. The first was clearly someone trying to get me to replace a seven year old roof. The second was from another reputable company, but the price just seemed too high. I called Plair Homes on the recommendation of a second reputable roofing company who only does full roofs. Guss came out the next day, was very thorough in his estimate, and didn’t make up problems that weren’t there. His price was reasonable and he had the job done in a few days. He was even able to match the color of the existing shingles very well. I trust him, and he did a great job at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Guss gave an accurate estimate of what it would cost to put a new roof on our home. He is fair, honest, and reliable. He refuses to be paid until the job is completed and properly inspected by the county. His crew is greatly to be praised as they worked from early morning to dusk. They did not loaf around. As soon as they arrived they immediately climbed their ladder to our roof. The weather temperatures were extremely hot with feel like temperature over 103°. Great company! They did everything they said they would for close to the original estimate, some more wood was needed due to the water damage, and they did it fast! The roofers were very nice and respectful, one even helped me walk my Dad into the house when he was sick and could barely walk. This gentleman saw a need and volunteered which we greatly appreciate. Guss is very polite and kept us informed every step of the way. We have nothing but praises for these men and this company!!

Awesome company! Guss is amazing and his team was so professional and timely.
