February 2025 - I wanted to let those looking for a roofer who is easy to speak with and a trusted company to go with Pioneer. There quote was less than the most expensive quote and they used the same materials and had the same warranties. Since I had a leak and a storm was coming in 4-5 days I needed it taken care of quick. They came out the next day and busted it out in a day and a half. John the owner, Alanna and Berkley where great.

John and his team are incredible! We have done several roofs with them and they are always punctual, timely in their service, professional in the installation, and respectful of the cleanup. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

John and his team installed a TPO Membrane roof on my commercial building 8 years ago. Just recently there was some wind damage and within a couple days after I called they came out and repaired the roof. The repair was covered under their warranty. This is a good company to do business with!

John and the team at Pioneer Roofing were AMAZING to work with. They replaced our commercial roof 11 years ago. We had some leaking problems and even though it had been so long they agreed to come out and fix it and no extra cost. They brought a crane out and did extensive work to fix it. I wish I would have gotten the plate of the jerk who intentionally went full throttle down my street today in the company truck in West Jordan. We have a lot of young families on my street with so many small children. It was absolutely disrespectful to come slowly around the turn and then gas it down the street. You don’t know if a small kid could have been chasing after a ball. You could have destroyed a family. We were just getting my toddler out of the car. She could have ran that way and you would have never known because you were to busy gassing it. You should be embarrassed of yourself. I really also should have called the cops.

Updated 9/20/2023: John did me a solid for no cost a few months ago and reviewed a roof. I had and issue with the house I recently purchased and needed some minor roof work done. After reaching back out I had someone come on site to do an estimate was told they'd complete early the following week. After not hearing from someone into last Wed, I reached out to get a status update. The response I got was asking about a completely different job and explaining issues with phones. Sadly, no knowledge of the job or a status update.

John is a up stand guy, he was willing to work with me on a home roof repair inspection even with snow on the roof and with relative short notice.

I am very impressed with this company, with in one week after contact they was on the job. Very professional, arrived at time quoted, cleaned up exactly as it was before and was done in 6 hours. They went far beyond my expectations, they did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a new roof or any roofing project.

John was very helpful in explaining what's required to do my roof. I was needing to know if permits were needed and he took the time to explain it thoroughly. These guys are more than helpful, we would definitely recommend!

Roofing is difficult. John keeps going and deals with the situation in a VERY timely way. He answers his phone and gets you the info you needs ASAP. He'll get your job done at a fair price. I DO recommend Pioneer Roofing Co for both shingles and flat roof. Be decisive of the details/drip edge and colors when getting your bid. Don't pay until ALL the clean up is done well. A homeowner still has a chance to get the roof they pay for.

They redid my flat roof on my very old building with TPO, capping and shingles/flashing on the bay windows. Working with these guys was the best of my experience working with roofers. Very good guys!! And they even made sure insulation got done, (last minute) as we found out there wasn't any. Roofs are stressful but they held my hand and we made sure the old bricks didn't fall apart. No other roofing company wanted to do this job but they did and followed through. Maybe it's going to last 100 years more!?

Pioneer roofing was selected to reroof our large reception center. The pricing was fair. John was very innovative. He figured out a way to completely remove the old roof without damage to the landscaping. Being an old roof, he was able to create a finished product that enhances and beautifies the venue.

They got into my roof project and found a bunch of shady stuff from a previous roofer. They went the extra mile to make everything right while keeping extra costs to a minimum. The team who worked on our house was very professional and considerate. They spent a lot of time tidying up after they wrapped up. I am very glad we went with Pioneer.

Pioneer Roofing installed a 3200 square foot TPO roof on my rental back in the fall of 2013. The roof is holding up really well. The price was very reasonable and the customer service is fantastic. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Pioneer roofing replaced our 23 year old roof. They were attentive to detail and made certain that nails and debris from the old roof removal were fully picked up. They were punctual and easy to work with. Their pricing was fair and competitive compared to other roofing company quotes. The use of their crane facilitated removal of old material and delivering shingles to the desired location on the roof. I would recommend hiring them in a heart beat.

Believe me I highly dislike writing negative reviews as I know they are imperative for business and I genuinely want people to be successful yet im left with no other options than to be honest for the sake of other home owners. They did my roof 3 years ago, weren’t professional, timely, poor in communication.Ruined and bent my gutters, did the flashing incorrectly, left ruble and nails everywhere. I couldn’t believe it. Was so happy when they were gone.

I left a negative review that was honest. The owner John called me and begged me to take it down as it negatively effects business, he was suppose to send me a gift card(which never was sent) I ended up taking my review down because I am an easy customer to work with. Fast forward 2 3/4 years later to a roof leak that bled into my house plus multiple areas where paint is falling because the gutters aren’t set up properly. I contacted John about the roof leak and he sent someone out to fix it. They didn’t inspect to figure out where the leak was actually coming from and spent about 10 minutes just putting some extra tar in one area.....first rain....it’s leaking again. Can’t believe it.

If you wanna talk reimbursement for roof leak, gutter damage, dry wall damage, paint, time and labor to fix and hire someone I trust you can text me but other than that you gotta live with the review you all deserve in this job.

Pioneer Roofing did a superb reshingle job on our roof. They are easy to work with and were flexible when we needed to make some adjustments to our job. Everyone we interacted from Pioneer Roofing was down-to-earth and friendly. Mason in particular was responsive and thorough with some warranty work. They earned this five-star review.

Mason was great at explaining the issue. He was knowledgeable and friendly. We had other roofing companies look at our roof and Mason was the only one that told us we could do some inexpensive repairs and make our roof last a couple years longer, the other companies pushed a whole new roof.

We were just moving out of our house when we sprung a leak after 13 years. It was stressful and we called pioneer roofing and they were so responsive. We had a newly installed TPO roof, not even two years old. It bagan to leak on us from the first rainstorms... installation company told us the new roof would leak its normal. We dealt with damage to our floor and to our carpets for years.
When Pioneer came out and accessed the situation the began fix the larger issue which stopped the large leaks and they are currently repairing some of the installation companies mistakes..

Mason was responsive, flexible, and great to work with. Gave clear information on what he found and could do. Mason was also willing to take care of an emergency fix when called and wasted no time.

Mason did a wonderful job coming late in the day to fix part of the roof before further wind damage. I especially appreciate that he was able to come out on short notice.

John gave me an extremely competitive estimate for damage caused by the windstorm in September 2020. Mason was out repairing the roof within 3 days from my initial call. Mason did an excellent job repairing the roof and went above and beyond by fixing a few other issues with the roof at no additional cost. Pioneer Roofing will be the only company I call when a new roof is needed.

Pioneer was responsive, fair, knowledgeable, and generally just super easy to work with. After the earthquake and the hurricane, I wanted my swamp cooler removed (my neighborhood got wrecked by the hurricane). Getting quotes was quite an adventure: some companies were scheduling weeks out just for a quote and others came out and tried to convince me I needed a ton of other work done (my roof is ~5 years old). John from Pioneer responded immediately, provided a competitive quote, and Mason came out within the week to do the job. Mason was very knowledgable (confirmed my roof looked great and answered all my random questions) and communicated very well throughout the entire process, and he even knocked off some of the cost because he said the job wasn't as complicating as he expected (my swamp cooler was sitting on the ridgeline). Who does that? That's integrity. It also is a huge blessing in today's economic climate. I definitely recommend them and they will be the first people I call with any roofing work moving forward.

I’m a property manager in Park City and Pioneer has done several roofs for our clients, ranging from individual houses to an 18 unit luxury condo association. I’ve dealt with many roofers but Pioneer is the best by far. They have the equipment to do large jobs very quickly and professionally. John does all the leg work with the building department and stays in very close communication. His pricing is significantly lower than other bids. They do an excellent job, on time, at a great price. What more can you ask? We will be using him many times in the future.

Great experience using pioneer roofing! We used them to get a new roof on our old house and you can't beat their combination of quality and value. So now that we needed a new roof on our new house we used them again and couldn't be happier with the way it looks and the price!

I cannot tell you how happy I am that I went with this company for my roof. His bid came in $500.00 less than one bid and $4000.00 less then another one. All his employees are extremely professional. They said they were going to be there at 7:00 and 7:00 sharp the whole crew arrived. They had the old roof off and a new one installed at no time. They let me pick the color of shingles and the shingles have a 30 year guarantee on them. Then for cleanup they did such a good job, you can't even tell that any work was even done outside. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Very fast response time and super helpful! Had a pretty bad leak on a low pitch roof that ended up needing to have previously poorly installed roof removed. John gave me a quick estimate and his team was out removing and installing the roof within a day. Really appreciate the work done and very happy to have a new roof!

Two places on our 120 Year old home were shake-shingles 45 years old'
we are at 5500 ft. elevation...the winter of 2018-2019 was like nothing we had ever experienced before ! It was snowing "slush" which then froze....on the double-driveway we had 3 to 4" of ICE build up....can't imagine what was happening up on the 3rd story roof ! WE had a leak in the upstairs bedroom thru the ceiling...cleaned everything out (I'm 73), husband was recovering from a unforeseen-health-crisis, but NO one could get onto that roof in the ice mess ! so I waited for the crash to happen and put a bucket under the drip.... then spring came and I started looking for roofers. Thought I had one to come into the mountain valley but they never showed ......my son said "call John"...finally I did place the call thinking that again I would get only promises...But John was here 20" away in the valley and came in 3 hours, saw the problem, had his crew here in 4 days to tear off the old roofs and they were fabulous with the clean-up...weather proofed and then I choose the shingles and later another crew arrived and did the shingles. It blends well with the aluminum shingles, has weathered well this winter of 2019-2020,
That was money we did not have all of at one time, John understood this and we were able to pay half in cash and have time to acquire the remaining half. These guys were on time and very professional. The clean-up done after the job was incredible. And they went the extra yard to make sure that everything met the highest standards. He was also less than half their competitors were bidding on replacing two roofs.

I can’t say enough good things about Pioneer Roofing. My home owners insurance company dropped me because of the type of roof I had. I was told by some people close to me to contact Pioneer Roofing. I was very worried I needed to replace my roof. I called and talked to Linda and let her know about the situation. She said they would inspect it and get back to me. Within a couple of hours John called me and said I had a rolled roof, due to my roof not having much of a slope, but that there was nothing wrong with it, and it didn’t need to be replaced. John said they would write a letter to my home owners insurance company telling them the same. It’s refreshing to do business with such honest people.

John and his boys showed up on time and removed entire roof in a single day. Best price of the 6 contractors i got bids from. Quality shigles and great workmanship. I would have them do my next roof.

They were the only company that gave us a quote. They finished quickly. Due to windy weather when they did the tear off, it was a little messy till they had someone clean up the next day. Have had no problems since.

I’ve contracted with Pioneer Roofing a handful of times and have satisfying experiences with them every time. Not to say that there have not been hiccups but with that they have always come through with great service. I give accolades to John and his crews.

Saved $4000 by contacting Pioneer Roofing. Job was started within a week. Complete roof tear down and replace was done in two days and looks great! Will use again for next job.

I would never do business with them I talk to him mid-January and he was going to check on something and call me back and told me that he wanted to start my route on February 1st on or around. I never heard from him again for 2 months and then he got all excited and want to do it right now. He called while I was sleeping so course I didn't answer the phone. He didn't try to call me back until mid-march

I have a whole bunch of rental houses and I’m always trying to reduce expenses on maintenance and repairs. I always use Pioneer Roofing, not only because they do excellent work that lasts, but also because they are very honest. If a roof can be made good with just a repair rather than a replacement, they will tell me and take care of it that way. Multiple times I have thought I had to spend around $7000 replacing a roof, but a $600 repair did the job instead.

I recently had Pioneer Roofing replace the roof on our house. Overall they did a good job. I will use them again.

Here is what I wish I had known before hiring them:
-When John specifies "Plywood" on a bid and the permit submission to the city, he apparently means OSB (Oriented strand board), because that is what he supplied his crew and they installed. When I first read the bid I was impressed that he would be using the better product but that wasn't the case.
-They are harder on the landscape than I would've liked. Their technique is to push everything off the roof onto tarps and then use a large crane to move it into the dumpster.
-Their crane leaks hydraulic fluid. I now have stains in my driveway.
-Check your sprinklers after they leave if they are in the debris drop zone. I had five that I had to repair.
-If you are on a corner lot make sure the workers know what side of the house is the front. If they don't the vents will be placed in the wrong areas as mine are.

Overall, Pioneer Roofing was $4k cheaper than the next bid and that made some of the above more acceptable. They did satisfactory job on the installation of the roof and with paying someone else to fix the little thing that bother me I am still money ahead. Now that we know what to expect from each other the next project will be easier.

Summary I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

We have had Pioneer Roofing replace two different roofs. Both were very good experiences. They did what they said they would do and at the prices quoted.

Thoroughly enjoyed working with Pioneer Roofing on a project on a residential property I manage. They were easy to work with and accomplished the job very quickly and did a great job of cleaning up. I will not hesitate to work with them in the future.

Fantastic company. Had them do work on two of our homes, including a full roof shingle removal and reshingle. Wonderful workmanship, great price, excellent customer service.

Pioneer roofing was quick to give us a very reasonably priced quote. We decided to use them as our roofers. They showed up on time with a full crew and got started right on schedule! The team did run into some weather but it only delayed them a couple days and they were right back at it. We also had some skylights that the roofers noticed were not aligned properly and took the time to readjust them for us. When we noticed that a small strip of roofing had gotten missed, Pioneer was happy to send out their team to fix it right away. We would highly recommend Pioneer roofing! Just watch out for a few left behind roofing nails after clean up.

Did a great job on a large apartment complex we hired them for. Took off an old tar and gravel roof and installed new plywood, insulation and membrane roof. They were in and out in under a week.
