I was in the store today to get some paint. When the employee took the lid off the paint, he spilled some on the edge and place the can on the counter. He then proceeded to hammer the lid on the can. Oil based paint flew through the air to land on our clothing and skin. The employee laughed. I asked for cleaning cloths with no response. I then requested to use the bathroom to limit the damage of oil base paint on my clothing and to clean my skin. Reluctantly, the employee told me where the bathroom was located. After I attempted to clean up the oil base paint from my skin and clothing, I came to speak with the employee. I calmly told the employee to learn a lesson and be careful. He became irritated and began yelling that I was not his daddy and he would not sell me the paint. He then proceeded to tell my party that he was calling the police. He stated that he had work there 2,5 years and had never made a mistake. We now have approximately $500 worth of damage clothing in our party (shirts, pants and shoes). Learn a lesson and be apologetic to customers when mistakes occur.

Historic building, cool layout, and it’s near downtown. The products are everything I expected them to be, and so is the service, the 3 gentleman that work in there are all very fun to cut up with and they are also very helpful!

More then just friendly and very helpful. They have the extremely hard to find parts at a more then reasonable price. And if not,they are more then willing to go out of their way to get them for you. And they won't empty your purse or wallet doing it. Seen these people come thru when others wouldn't or couldn't.

I love coming here! As home inspectors, my partner and I occasionally find ourselves without a tool we need. Every time I have been in this store I have been greeted when I came in the door, and the employees stop what they are doing to take me straight to the item I need. I wish every business I went in was as friendly and helpful as these guys!

My sister's husband just had a car accident and we had to park here to wait on her some rude women who claimed this was her property and she is the manger just pulls up and immediately starts yelling at us asking if we are shopping and that if we weren't we had to leave. We tried to explain why we are here when she starts to accuse us of being rude and looking to start trouble. I would not shop here since they don't seem to have any respect or concern for someone who was just in a car accident.

This hardware store is the best in the business. If you need to replace, repair, refit, or recycle then this place, with their unmatched, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service, is where you wanna be.

Very upset,I called about having my lawnmower worked on,talked to them told them the make,the kind of motor it had on it,told them what was wrong,they said they could work on it bring it on over..I had to borrow a trailer,and a truck and hire a guy to help load and unload.when I got there the mechanic said"No" he wasn't going to work on it,said he couldn't get the part it needed.i asked couldn't he order it on the internet? He just said no..

I trust these people to replace the wicks in my kerosene heaters. Friendly, helpful. Got a nice 2-wheeled wheelbarrow there; it does not tip over nearly as easily as 1-wheeled wheelbarrow. Lots of interesting products!!

I needed to replace my Stihl trimmer and I choose pecks because I value customer service. They will treat you right!

Good hometown local owned hardware store passed down for a few generations now. I remember going here as a kid with my dad.
