Recommend 100%. Got estimates from three different local roofing companies (better to go with a local company who relies on their good reputation within the community, not those from down south and Seattle who knock on your door) and chose Peaks NW after talking to the respective owners and asking many questions. Aaron or Jason are always available with excellent communication about all aspects of the roofing process. They are not the cheapest company out there but it is well worth paying a little extra for the very professional work, excellent service, good communication and materials. Peaks NW is certified (few roofing companies have this type of relationship with a shingle company) with the Malarkey shingles, a company at the leading edge of shingle technology which offers an extended guarantee on their materials. There is a wide variety in the quality of manufactured shingles so you should check it out. I called Malarkey for information and talked to a very patient and informed real person! for half an hour! Roof looks very good and after the clean up it was as if the workers had never been there.

When it came time to replace my roof I got 3 quotes. One was a low ball offer. This was obviously a bait and switch. One was a mid cost option from a family outfit. Not really getting a good long term vibe from them but might have been ok if this was not my “Forever “ home. Then I got a pricey Peaks bid. This bid detailed every item and gave me options on what I wanted. Very professional. I am a retired Engineer, so I need detail and as such not the funnest customer to have. They sat with me explained everything and provided data sheets for any material I was curious about. Again, super professional and very nice owners.
One thing to remember, most name brand roofing materials are similar in quality and costs. There are differences but this is secondary to the quality of the installation and workmanship. If you need repair or service, it does not matter if you saved $1000 if you cant get them to show up asap if the roof is leaking in the middle of winter.
So, installation was flawless. They went above and beyond in adding metal drip edges, chimney water dams, extra rain guard where needed, etc. Super professional, excellent workmanship. Note this was a bit of a nightmare installation as they had to peel off a shake roof first. I was very impressed watching them install all this.
So fast forward to the winter, guess what, there is a drip coming from the furnace exhaust in the attic. Turns out we had a condensation issue with the exhaust pipe and had to replace with an insulated one. I made the call, they showed up immediately. It took 3 tries to order and dial in the appropriate exhaust system. They did all of this. No complaints, no delays, actually it was almost a fun experience watching them solve this rare issue.
So, in conclusion, they are the best quality roofing contractors I know of. They are honest and stand behind their work. They are fun to interact with and will give you all the detail you want. And most importantly, they pick up the phone and respond asap if you need them. Priceless!
You pay for what you get. If you can afford the best, then definitely go with Peaks NW.

We had the roof of our commercial building replaced by Peaks NW. They did a great job and made the process as easy as it could get. The workmanship is top notch, and they left the jobsite spotless.
I highly recommend Peaks Northwest Roofing!

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
