Trey and David were great to work with in replacing an old deck for me. Coordinating and scheduling was a smooth process and very happy with the completed project.

Exceeded my expectations! I had a deck removed and an upgraded deck installed, along with some door replacements, and I cannot speak highly enough about this company. I was impressed with the professionalism of this company (and every employee) throughout the process and extremely satisfied with the final product.

The deck is more beautiful than I expected. Mr Harris even thought to make the steps 6 1/2" rise for ease of walking up. He doesn't just make a new deck but makes sure it is appealing to the eye. I would totally recommend him!

David and his crew were top-notch to work with. Very responsive to our questions, treated our home with respect, and did a phenomenal job on our deck. Will most definitely use them again.

STRESS-FREE !! My experience with Payload Construction could not have been better and my deck is perfect. David, Trey and all the guys were a pleasure to work with. All of them are just good people who take great pride in their work and it shows! I can't say enough about David's hands on approach and his great idea's for improving our home.

We are new to the area and just purchased a home and wanted a screened in deck added to the back of the home. We contacted several deck builders for a quote, one being Payload Construction. The owner, David Harris, came to our home and listened to what we had in mind. He took our vision and gave us his recommendations and what we ended up with far exceeded our expectations. The entire crew worked flawlessly together, were knowledgeable in the tasks they performed, very professional, very friendly, and they all cared about the quality of the work they performed and it shows in the detail of the finished project. Working with the people of this locally owned company has been a extreme pleasure. I can not begin to express my appreciation and satisfaction with the completed job. I want to thank each and everyone who contributed to this project. You can't get any better than Payload Construction to get the job done to perfection.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Stop searching and hire this company - David and his team are incredibly professional, communicative, experienced, and friendly. We hired them to build a deck with built-in seating and we couldn't be happier with the entire process (which was completed before the agreed-upon start date, despite rain delays).

It was so inspiring to have Payload Construction build our deck. David, Trey and all the guys are so professional, meticulous and just great people to work with! David organizes and keeps you informed of every detail! Our deck is solid and we have no doubt it will be here for many years. We know we can rely on them and appreciate all they did.

While poor communication, showing up whenever you feel like it and multiple excuses seem to be the norm these days, Payload does things the old fashioned way. From the moment Trey called to schedule an appointment for a bid, until the project was finished Trey and David communicated every step of the way. During the build, I was provided with the times they would start and even let me know every day when they were leaving. If there was a change or a better way to do something, David called me to discuss. David, Trey, Greg, Mike, Ryan and Brock were all very respectful and worked exceptionally hard. The quality of their work and craftsmanship was second to none! If I could have given them more than 5 stars I would, I cannot recommend them enough for any work you need.

We purchased a home on Lake Murray that was built in the 1930s and have spent the last 4 years updating and making it our own. Although we’ve had great experiences with all the contractors we’ve hired, have to say that our experience with Payload was the best. They installed a 13’ x 20’ sun deck for us. They’re expertise was so helpful, great recommendations for durability and function. The project came off without a hitch, on time and such a great value for the money. David and Trey are excellent communicators, we never had a doubt or a question about the progress of the job and they completed it exactly when they said they would. Pretty impressive in a world full of supply issues, health concerns and staffing shortages. I look forward to the day we can bring them back for another project.

David showed professionalism throughout the process from the initial meeting of discussing the project and obtaining a quote to the final walk-through. Their expertise shined in the quality of the materials used and workmanship of the finished product! Have been saving up to replace our deck since we purchased the home. Finally hit the mark this Spring and started getting quotes. I had a good feeling from the start with David & Payload Construction. Their quote came in middle of the pack, but David seemed to understand exactly what I was looking for in my new deck.

Once I let David know that we wanted him to complete our project, he and his team broke ground in less than two weeks (I demolished and hauled off my old deck myself). Completion took just over a week, and my wife and I couldn't be more pleased. Everything is solid as a rock and no shortcuts were taken.

David will be getting a lot of new business from my neighbors and coworkers!

I will start this review by saying that we have had a lot of work done on our new home and David and his team are by far, the best crew we have ever had. They built a staircase from our deck (two stories high) with landings...they screened in our porch as well. David, Brock, Kevin, and Greg are the ultimate carpenters and professionals. Their craftsmanship is outstanding....they cleaned up after themselves everyday and take pride in their work.
In fact, my husband and I were so impressed with David and his team, we hired them to drywall an area of our basement...again..we were not disappointed!! AMAZING.
We highly recommend David and his fantastic crew and will definitely hire him again when we need more work done.

David and his crew were very professional and reliable. The craftmanship of their work was excellent. They built a finished 20 x 20 Pool house shed with an 8 foot porch. All of the inspectors complimented how well built the building was made and the attention to details. We love the pool house.

What a professional, attention to detail, great company to do your work. I put out bids, and had three companies to come out to view what I wanted done, man, did I make a great decision. They came out (even worked in the rain), did an excellent job building my deck and privacy fence, if you want work done correct, on time, and just the way it was drawn up, Payload construction is your company. Yes, I will hire them again to do more work for me.

David and his crew replaced my deck's wood floor with Trex and replaced the vinyl railing with aluminum. Wow! His quote was extremely reasonable and we are beyond pleased with the quality of his work. He and his team were professional and courteous throughout. My only regret is that I didn't know him when we first built the deck!!!!!!!!

David and his crew do very good work and go out of their way to make sure your project looks and functions exactly how you want it. He is very reasonably priced and stands behind his work. I was thoroughly pleased with the professionalism, courtesy, and respect shown by David and the Payload Construction team. I found the cost for my deck/screened porch to be fair and better than other estimates I had received. The job was completed ahead of the promised date (they even worked in the rain). I liked that no actions were taken without prior approval and/or questions answered. I am very happy with my deck/screened porch.
