Owen was great to work with and stuck with me while going through the insurance company. Jonathon was amazing as the project manager, Brian and Jason were fantastic in our home. I would highly recommend every single person who came into our house and the work they did. Great communication throughout and a pleasure to have in our home. Thank you

My mom's house was having issues with the roof leaking due to a storm. Jonathan, the Project Manager, was such a huge help walking us through each and every step of the process. He kept track of everything for us, was very informative of the process, and was very profressional and personable. The house looks great and the contractors that came were wonderful people. Thank you Paul Davis Restoration of Northern De.

We had an unpleasant and long-lasting experience with Paul Davis Restoration of Northern Delaware after someone drove their car into my husband’s home office. To their credit, Paul Davis did send out someone immediately, in the middle of the night, to board up the wall that was damaged. Almost everything after that was bad, though.

- About six weeks in, our project manager told us they would be able to get started on repairs in a couple of weeks, and the repairs would take 4-5 weeks — a grand total of 10-12 weeks from accident to finished restoration.
- It took five months, one week, and six days to repair one room. That’s about 24 weeks, not 10-12.

Paul Davis subcontracted this job to another company, and unfortunately, all of the negative feedback I have about that company is going to Paul Davis, too.

- There were TWO no-call, no-shows from the company on Saturdays. These were Saturdays that my husband and I cleared so we could be home to accommodate the construction company. We sat at home and wasted our days off waiting for people who didn’t show. The first occasion, they didn’t show AND our project manager couldn’t be reached.
- They left beer bottles in the pile of unused lumber in my backyard, so they were actively drinking while working on my house.
- They smeared grout on my toilet, light switch, bath spigot, and door handles.
- They grouted the tile in the wrong color, and the person who did the tile spoke limited English and could not understand when I tried to tell him the color was wrong.
- They ground out the grout to try to replace it with the correct color, and it was sloppy and unsafe — lifted tiles, uneven grouting, and patches of the wrong color still showing.
- They had to rip up the tile and start over.
- The paint job was sloppy and required multiple touch-ups.
- We allowed them to use our broom and dustpan. They swept through some kind of compound and didn’t bother wiping it off the broom — now the bristles are stuck together.
- They regularly left my screen door flapping in the wind. When several people were bringing in materials at one time, the door would be left open and flies or wasps would come in.

To my knowledge, none of the delays were the fault of my insurance company. The late start can be attributed to a permit delay, but the permit was granted on May 20th. “Four to five weeks of work,” should have ended by the end of June. My house wasn’t finished until August 28th. The entire process was frustrating and disappointing, and we would go out of our way to warn our friends and family to look for help elsewhere.

Came the same day I call my insurance company, Liberty Mutual. They began demolition that same day and put multiple fans and dehumidifier’s upstairs and in the basement for 5 days.

Steve is wonderful. I had the chance to sit down and discuss business with him for an hour and was impressed at how much they can help both businesses and residential in times of catastrophe. Their plans are free to set up where most of their competitors charge and even when you implement their plans they are priced very well. I highly recommend Steve at Paul Davis if you are looking for a quality restoration expert!

Absolute nightmare! Talk about cutting corners and zero pride.. horrible communication, never respond! Show up when they want only to destroy my roof. I could have done a better job by myself. Came to my house 3 separate times to fix mistakes! Only to ignore and miss everything and make more damge. DO NOT USE THESE SCARBS! They use caulk to fix shingles! And nail straight threw the roof cap. Zero experience

I was given this company by my insurance company to fix my repairs. They contacted me came and did half an inspection. I had to call them back and tell them that only half the damages where listed on the estimate. They left off an entire room. Then I was given an estimated start time of 4 weeks. Then 6 weeks later after I contacted them I was told it would be an additional 6-8 weeks later they are backed up. The project manager then told me to go with another company if I didn't wanna wait. (guess the 6 weeks I waited didn't count).
I called the GM and never received a call back. Since then I have contacted and complained to my insurance company. They have switched me to another company for my repairs

Mike and Mike were great! The team at Paul Davis was very friendly and knowledgeable. My kitchen flooded and caused damage to my floor. Once my insurance called them, they were out same day setting up dehumidifiers and fans. The team was very quick and efficient to get my kitchen floor dried. Would highly recommend.

My house was completely destroyed by fire in 2019 Paul Davis contacted me the next day and said they were referred by my insurance company. I checked with my insurance and they said they work with Paul davis but did not refer them. They gave me a really good sales pitch, how they would take "everything" out of my house "clean it" , store it and I could decide what I wanted to keep. We were reluctant as the fire Marshall warned us not to sign contracts. So we did some research and found the owner had not been in business long and had been a school coach and a sub shop owner in the past. Not exactly restoration experience. Several weeks past as the insurance company had to do their 'investigation' we were getting anxious to get recovery going and decided to hire Paul Davis to recovery the items that were salvageable. I had by this time already used any time off from work and could not be there to oversee what was being saved. I asked to meet someone there one last time to make sure they took everything I wanted. There were pictures albums sitting clearly on a shelf they had not retrieved. Antique items made of cast iron (clearly saveable) they were going to leave. In the basement I asked them to retrieve some Christmas items my daughter had made. Sitting on shelves. Keep in mind the base only had water damage. fast forward to getting my items back. I'm unpacking the items and My daughters homemade candy jar broken because it was not property wrapped. Still dirty. Keep in mind when you've lost everything you've ever had the items you were able to save are precious. Not to them. some items were wrapped and protected others were thrown in a box like trash. Dishes were still covered in soot. 'Really' Clean and Save everything? As I unpacking the Christmas items I had a Christmas village , items are missing. These houses were kept in the original Styrofoam and box. Understand they had to thrown out the box, if it got wet. but the Styrofoam? Which had parts that are now missing. A couple pieces of antique furniture we recovered. Dirty, Broken. they misplace the mirror. I know these items were not broken before. This company clearly does not understand what it's like to experience a complete lost of your home and it's content. No concept of empathy for saving and treating what little was left with utmost care. Just a job, untrained, inexperienced. Hey but a great sales pitch.... This was the Paul Davis of Middletown owner Mike A

I had storm damage repairs completed. Although there was miscommunication that resulted in a 6 month delay in the start of my repairs, it was perfectly understandable due to emergency situations that arose from COVID19 pandemic. Once work began they finished ahead of schedule. They went above and beyond and even did extra work with insurance company 's approval. They were highly professional and courteous. I will use them again for any future work needed, and I highly recommend them.

I had a kitchen fire, in November 2019, which caused water and smoke damage throughout the house. I had hired a company, but hadn't signed a contract yet. They were a horrible company so I got rid of them. I found Paul Davis online and decided to give them a call. I am so glad I called them because they went above and beyond. Even when my adjuster gave them a hard time, they stuck it out. They gave me a time line and stuck with it. When the pandemic hit, they still managed to complete the project on time. I would definitely recommend this company!! Thank you so much Mike and crew!!
